We just have to hope that barcelona lose many games and real madrid win many games so that real madrid becomes a champion. Barcelona is very dependent on Lionel Messi, in my opinion I haven't seen them play well in the last games, and if that continues they may lose games and if Real Madrid play well they could be champions.

Do you think Zidane is doing the best of his abilities for Real Madrid? Or he is somewhat lucky that his team is currently playing well despite not utilizing Gareth Bale? Somehow, I wanted to see Real Madrid stumble on their next games without the presence of Gareth Bale. Zidane could have let go on him but didn't do it when there a chance. The team is spending big money on a player that wasn't utilized what he's supposed to do.

Fati and Messi are two special things in this match, 2 Fati goals and 2 assists Messi is something special to win the match. Fati has managed to grow well and make a positive contribution to the club. He is a young player who is projected for Barcelona's future projects.

Agreed. I put a lot of money because I was hoping the club would feel like I do, that this was a must-win game. Good that our kid had a great match, it's a reminder of what he can do, like winning us that last CL game against Inter all by himself;)

But I think more than a forward we just need a bit more discipline and hunger in the game. Some players definitely look jaded to me.

I feel Barca did huge mistake by signing Griezmann last year. Barcelona's style doesn't match to his game. If we compare him to average La Liga forward, he's playing comparatively better but stats still don't do justice to his calibre. At Atletico Madrid or in France National Team, his role is to find spaces between defensive line and midfielder pass him the through ball. But at Barca, he has to link constantly with players in order to get into game or score. Barcelona have many players in B team who can play at Left wing much better than Griezmann. Imagine if Barcelona saved $130M last year and developed Rafinha for left wing rather than shipping him to Celta and used the funds to buy Loutaro this year, the story would have been entirely different.

Anyways, I hope Griezmann develops as striker at Barcelona. He can only become legendary player at Barca if he plays as striker. This will also help France National squad which is looking substitute for aging Giroud.

It is time for Barcelona to sign for a new striker and a new attacking midfielder.
Suarez and Messi are pretty old and the team should be freshen up. All this time it is built upon Messi and Suarez, Fati can be the new main component of the squad.

After losing that crucial 3 points to Valencia, they really need to win all of these games, its incredibly important to make a difference as well since they need to not only beat their opponents but they need to destroy them and let other people not get their hopes up. When teams like Levante starts to play like they might actually win the game and have a shot, that will be the end of Barcelona, this all probably started last year when they lost from 3-0 to Liverpool.

In any case they are still at top 2 and there is no way they will finish the year anywhere at third place or lower, they will be at worst second place and in La Liga that is kinda expected, sometimes Madrid wins, sometimes Barça wins the league, this looks increasingly like one of the years where Madrid wins.

I do not think Zidane and Madrid performance has been luck. 

Varane has done a good job this season including Militao.
Despite numerous struggles, Mendy has fit in at left back (he gave a beautiful cross for benzema goal against athletic).

Zidane has neutralized the reliance on bale and ronaldo by trusting Rodrygo, Vazquez, vincius And marianno.

And the development of Valverde has added energy to the real madrid midfielder. The team will get further stronger and difficult to beat once hazard is fit and firing.

Zidane did fantastic job with youngsters. Players like Valverde, Rodrygo and Vinicius are delivering good performances while experienced players like Bezema and Kroos are playing their top game this season. Overall, everything happening good for Real. I'm waiting for Hazard and Asensio to return and after that attack of Real Madrid will be unstoppable.

Real are not top because Ronaldo is not with them anymore, Infact Real have been struggling ever since Ronaldo left the team, but they are recovering little by little. Barcelona still have their great man Messi, but they have been having managerial issues of late, Valverde not delivering as well as not being the fans favorite, coupled with him being fired, it may take them a while to recover from that. That's why I feel Real may just win the title this season.

If Messi leaves Barcelona, it's going to be a big loss, I don't think they can ever replace him, but he cannot play forever and Barcelona are surely aware of that, so I'm sure they'll have a plan B after Messi leaves.

Barca need a rebuild, lots of their players are in their 30’s & probably past their peaks. Only 3 points behind Real though so they can definitely still fight for La Liga. I think they will fall short in the CL though.

I know that Real had difficulties without Ronaldo in the beginning.
The same is going to happen with Barcelona... They are staying behind right now that Messi is not leaving the club... He cannot be benched because he is the best player in the team but the team needs to be built based on other key player.

I don't agree with you. Messi is getting older and soon he won't be playing on the field. So managers should prepare the team for playing without him. They have to!
We saw for Ronaldo! And probably we will see for Messi also soon.

The issue with Bale is the fact that nobody knows if he will play with his heart on the next team he goes or will it be another bust for him. Dude has talent, nobody can deny that, he even won Real Madrid a champions league title as well thanks to his amazing goals, nobody can say that Bale wouldn't be the perfect player for any team in the whole world except maybe Liverpool right now, yet if you pay that much money to buy him and keep paying him that high amount of salary, you want to make sure that he really wants to come to your team and play, not come to your club because he was sent there by the team that no longer wants him.

On his first few years at Real Madrid he was a different kind of beast and he still has that in him, teams are just unsure about if he will utilize it or not.

^  It's not that the Spurs didn't want Bale anymore.  It was purely a business move (because Bale wanted to go).  If AVB (Spurs manager at that time) had a choice, he wouldn't let Bale go.  AVB pleaded for him to stay for one more season.

Agree with tokeweed, Barcelona definitely have the tools to win the CL. With Messi in the team the sky is the limit.
