Sevilla played very dominantly in their away match against Valencia today. They haven't scored too many goals in the league so far. They had difficulty on scoring goals in this match too although they played really good. But they managed to win 1-0 here against Valencia.

This was expected of Sevilla. Valencia is not a tough opponent, although they played great against Barcelona.
In Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid match, neither team was able to score in 45 minutes. Real Sociedad is playing very effectively. So far, Atletico Madrid has not been able to make an attack. We do not expect such a game from Atletico Madrid. No team is playing attacking football. Both teams are trying to hold the ball. Real Sociedad have 60% of the ball on their possession and Atl Madrid has 40%.

Atletico Madrid are a team that start playing safer after scoring a goal especially in big matches. For example, they did it to Barcelona and they won that match 1-0. Today, they did the same thing again but this time they scored their second goal too.    It looks like Simeone is not willing to change this playing style. But they are doing really good job with this tactic this season and they are still the leader in the league.

Modric will not be able to help in the next two matches of Real Madrid with Granada and Elce. Most likely he will be replaced in the center of the field by Valverde or Edegor. Most likely he will not enter the field and Cross. He has been playing without rest for 10 matches in a row and Zidane will give him a rest at least in one of two upcoming matches. Let's see how this affects the results of the matches.

If Zidane made this decision, it's worrying. Just look Modric, who has always been the creator of madrid attacks with Toni Kroos, their statistics are very good. Apart from that I don't think there are any players with the same quality. Maybe another alternative is to play it 60 or 70 minutes. But behind that, I think Modric's appearance is still reasonable, his physique and strength is still good. The match schedule is also starting to decrease because UCL is still in February. So I hope Zidane keeps playing him.

He's not 26 anymore, He's 35 and so  you have got to understand that he has to be rested whenever necessary otherwise with this tight schedule of games. Fatigue and injury could easily set in.

it was kind of obvious that Real Sociedad can't keep it the same for the whole season, they couldn't win in the last 6 games in La liga, every team can get to number one, but not all of them are able to maintain that.

quite an easy victory for Barcelona at Valladolid. home team had few chances to score but missed them. this victory let Barcelona to close the gap with leading group as Villarreal and Real Sociedad both lost points in today matches.

Atletico Madrid did a amazing job so far in La Liga with only 5 goals in their net and by far with the best defense in the league with only one defeat against Real.
They managed to get nice away win against Real Sociedad today and they are no 3 points ahead of Real Madrid and they have one match less.

Real Madrid will play against Granada and they need to win if they want to keep up with Atletico.
Granada have several injured and missing players , but they are in good form and not losing in last 5 matches and won last 3.
Still history is totally on Real side and I think they will win, and maybe it's time for Benzema to score again.

Watch out for match Betis vs Cadiz, both teams have many missing players for this match, especially Betis.

Missed today's match but with this result I think last night's game is on track and there are no surprises, Sevilla, ATM, Barcelona can win the game and I am very sorry for not betting. It's a win on paper because usually the surprises come where the top team can't win but towards the end of the year I think it's a good result. Well technically, Sociedad can lose many spots since all teams in La Liga lacks between 1-3 games comparing to it. Villareal can do it but also Barca, Sevilla...

I'm glad to see Barcelona win this time, even though their opponent Valladolid was very weak team. A win is a win and Barcelona really needed this 3 points.
They were dominant from start to finish. Messi had a great assist and Lenglet found clear header. You can tell before that goal, Barcelona had full pressure over Valladolid defense, it was obvious at one point they would score.

Barcelona were passing like there is no Valladolid defense before second goal. Same for Messi's goal, they came to Valladolid side pretty easy. I hope they can play like that against bigger teams.

Real Sociedad got smashed again and now the crisis is rather clear. I understand they are struggling with some major players' injuries but something should be done at a presidency level. Modric is injured. Nothing serious, but decided not to risk. In the match with Granada he is not in the application. Cross will most likely play, perhaps not the whole match. Hazard, Isko and Jovic also returned. Azar may be playing from the first minutes.

i haven't watched all the Barca matches, but was last night the first time Koeman used 3 CB in the backline? the whole team looked really solid with a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 formation

btw, Pedri seems to be the signing of the season so far, crazy how he's showing more talent/quality in a couple of months than the De Jong has since he arrived last year lol

anyhow, Real Madrid fams, where we at!? the team's gonna face a decent side like Granada today,, no Modric but we may see Valverde in the starting lineup, and possibly Hazard too? it would be nice to grab the 3 pts right before Christmas
