Seems like the rebels are starting to get their asses kicked
Donetsk Republic is separated from Luhansk and there is a strong and aggressive Ukrainian battlegroup in strategically vital triangle Krasnii Luch-Ivanovka-Antratsit, so yeah rebels are in critical position. Anything can happen in this week: from the total collapse of organized resistance, to another encirclement of Ukrainian units followed by their heavy losses and surrender or evacuation. Latter wouldn't happen for the first time - Ukrainians tend to forget about securing flanks and rear when their tank columns strike deep into the enemy territory. All in all, I wouldn't write off rebels yet. But I agree that odds are against them: they are overstreched and vastly outnumbered both in terms of manpower and armor.

Scene from Izvarino. Civilians fleeing to the Russian side of the border. The picture was published in a pro-Kiev source a few hours ago. The number of refugees who have crossed over to Russia approaching the 1 million mark. And that's not all. Kiev now officially orders the citizens of Donetsk and Lugansk to abandon cities before a large-scale offensive by Ukrainian occupational forces. http://ria.ru/world/20140811/1019630684.htmlIn the meantime, Russia tries to offer at least some humanitarian help, and is sending humanitarian aid to Ukraine under the emblem of Red Cross: http://itar-tass.com/politika/1373736?utm_medium=rss20EU is not amused and say that Russia best not try to give military help under the guise of the humanitarian aid (all the while EU and NATO helps the Nazis): http://ria.ru/world/20140811/1019638183.htmlBarrozu also urged Russia to apply pressure so that the civilians would be able to flee the conflict zone. (Read all those millions must be displaces from their homeland to make space for whatever plans the EU has for that land) Poroshenko will meet his handler, Obama, during NATO summit in Wales on the 4-5th of September. But already during the telephone conversation on Monday, Obama extended his support of Poroshenko's actions (presumably in creating the humanitarian disaster in Novorossia, samotaging EU, killing, people, shelling them with artillery and phosphorus bombs - all in accordance to the highest American standards of democracy): http://www.gazeta.ru/politics/news/2014/08/11/n_6386733.shtml

This ruSSian "humanitarian mission" is a coverup operation to deliver military supplies and ammunition to terrorists in Donetsk and Lugansk. A similar operation under the Red Cross flags was carried out in 1992, when Shoygu led the Russian convoy to Abkhazia. After that, the Abkhasian separatists had practically no problems with ammunition including artillery shells. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X72AmOyFN-M&feature=youtu.be

Here is the newest map: http://mediarnbo.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/11-08-eng1.jpgThat's why Putin is becoming nervous and wants to get "humanitarian mission" in Ukraine, although nobody is asking them for that. But he goes on. Why? Hmm.. let's think about it. - unarmed humanitarian mission is crossing the border - of course Ukrainian army won't shoot unarmed people, BUT - Russian saboteurs will (and they will pretend as Ukrainian soldiers, as they are doing it all the time shooting civilians), - and it would be a "good reason" for intervention Let's pray, that I'am wrong..

And Kiev says no to humanitarian aid. People must die! No one is allowed to survive. Genocide must go one, as ordered by Washington. Mwa-ha-ha.... Kiev: Russia's humanitarian convoy will not be allowed into Ukrainehttp://rt.com/news/179740-humanitarian-aid-russia-ukraine/Kiev intends to hold up the internationally-supervised Russian humanitarian aid convoy meant for East Ukraine for at least a week, a spokesman for the Ukrainian military said.
Ukraine said the time is needed for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), which is contributing to the Moscow-initiated mission, to establish where the aid should go in the Ukrainian region engulfed by civil war.
...
Earlier, Moscow said that the humanitarian mission had been agreed by all parties concerned.
Russia has sent some 2,000 tons of aid to Ukraine, including food, medicine, sleeping bags and power generators.
The cargo is meant for the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, which have seriously suffered in more than three months of warfare, as Ukrainian troops used heavy artillery, bomber aircraft and tanks to advance on cities controlled by the militias.

Turns out ruSSia is nicely functioning on its own, not informing the Red Cross about what it is sending as "humanitarian aid" and as a result the Red Cross needs to run after them to find out what and how. The typical behaviour of an arrogant rogue state who uses international organisations and terminology just to cover up its double-standared activities. Nothing new, just like in soviet times. http://inforesist.org/putin-so-svoim-gumanitarnym-konvoem-okonchatelno-zaputal-krasnyj-krest/

ICRC @ICRC We've been told by Russian authorities that an aid convoy is heading to #Ukraine border. We're not in charge of this convoy at the moment.ICRC Andre Loersch, via Deutsche Welle & The Interpreter): [...] we tried to get a concrete list from the Russian authorities of what they are providing as humanitarian aid, be it medicine, food or other things. However, we have not received this list so far. This is why we are so surprised to learn that the humanitarian aid convoy has none-the-less set out from Russia. These reports have completely confused us: now we need to work out what is happening ourselves. So many different reports are coming in from the Russian media that it's hard for us to find a common denominator. Head of Russian Red Cross says that the Russian "humanitarian" convoy has left without any of his aid workers on @EchoMskRu.

Proved by the OSCE. Malaysian Boeing hit by Ukrainian troops. Specifically, a rocket from the airplane "air-to-air" and finished off their onboard cannon. That's how the Nazis killed, not innocent people.
