SP is going to have a massive shit storm if they miss spec.

We're not AM:

0.2, oh no, 0.35, oh no, 0.55, oh no, wait to gen 3.1, oh no, wait to gen 4

 Grin

I know you're not AM/BFL/HF/CT/KNC/BA/bitmine/Avalon (all the companies who missed spec/ship dates)

But you have yet to prove you are different. Let's see how well your first preorder goes. And second. And third. And maybe then I might trust your estimations.

PS: did you notice the lack of shitstorm(from customers) with AM missing spec/date?

Why do I need to elaborate on AM BS ? Am I a SH ? Do I wait for dividends ?

3.1cents per share? i doubt you would have had the stupidity to invest in that.

Built to order and preorder are two entirely seperate things.

You don't necessarily have to but im just asking since you made the claim.

so.. when I ordered, batch one had sold out, but hadn't yet shipped... if it was the case, my order was a BTO, i'd have received batch one, right?

Wrong. I was happy to preorder, and more than happy when I received my rig (overspec and THE MOST EFFICIENT rig in the world today)

that's my 3.1cents.  Grin

Seems like another delay / excuse to keep the SH un-agitated

To be honest:
There are some production level possibilities. High risk, minimal gain. Won't elaborate here.

That's because shareholders have blind faith in friedcat. Let's see how gen3.1 goes. You already had one month with no dividends right? If AM doesn't start shipping gen3.1 chips in 1 month i assume people will start asking questions. If they won't ship/pay good dividends in 2 months then the shitstorm is coming.

I like these stats sir.
Do you own an SP10?
Is TURBO mode an overclocking mode?
Does it require extreme low temps to operate properly?
Thanks again for the post, I like POSITIVE info on equipment
THEY HAVE SHIPPED and so far anyone Ive seen post on the
SP10 is higly praising their product.  Im impressed so far sir!!

TURBO mode is the most powerful firmware setting, which can easily be chosen via the webinterface.
It will get the most hashing power out of your unit, with a slight increase in power draw and noise levels (fans run at max)

The sp10´s firmware does dynamic frequency control for every chip, based on that chip´s temperature. This ensures every chip will perform to its maximum without getting damaged.
The lower the ambient temperature is, the higher the chips will be clocking. Very good results can be achieved at normal DC temperatures of around 20°C intake temperature.

Therefore i would describe the cooling requirements as quite reasonable. If you somehow have a facility with free aircolling like a forum member in Scottland, and can achieve 5°C, that really puts the "pedal to the metal".
However, you will typically get very good results with standard operating temperatures.

@wanna4fun: What is your intake temperature (and where is your DC located?)
Did you switch the PSU for a 1250W model?

@hardhouseinc: Yes I own 3 SP10 and i'm really happy with it !

@collider : intake temp : 21°C +/- 2°C from a cold corridor (I came with my thermometer).
I believe I have a standard PSU.

Shareholders only have as much blind faith as you have in spondoolies.

But I agree there will be a shitstorm if there are no dividends in 2 months. But as shareholders you agree to take thay risk knowing it is a gamble.

Also to clarify I think the chances of SP underperforming are as likely as overperforming. However it's impossible to know without a chip in hand.

I'm more skeptical of the shipping date. If they are taping out in may that leaves no room for delays.

Actually first AM shareholders had more blind faith than mine in Spondoolies. At first nobody knew who fc is or his team and had no proof when they invested in the IPO. Me on the other hand i know the team and they released a product first. It's a bit different.

Taping out early in May means they will get chips early in July. Plenty of time to sort things up until August delivery.

I didn't get into the group buy and I might regret it.

But I wanna ask: if BTC goes to 600-700$ in June will the miners prices be adjusted? Or if this will happen I will be able to get a miner at better prices than today?(in BTC)

That is a group buy for a massive discount, Spondoolies already has a payment plan for people who want to hedge their bets on BTC price increases or decreases but you have to order from the website.

Partial payments!
You have been asking us lately to offer more options when it came to payments on pre-orders.
We want you to be able to secure the best units for future mining, while keeping your own risks at checks.

Starting today and only in April we are offering new and improved payment terms!
1.     40% in advance, 60% when your unit is ready for shipment
2.     40% in advance, 60% converted into Bitcoin and paid when the unit is ready for shipment.
3.     10% discount for upfront payment

These options allow you to better protect yourselves against changes in the Bitcoin exchange rate.
  • Think the Bitcoin value is going to drop? Chose the second option and convert the reminder of your payment to Bitcoin in today’s value.
  • Think the value will rise? Choose to pay your reminder in US dollars.

We will record whichever option you choose and charge you accordingly. On payment of the 60%, you can still choose to pay with Bitcoin, US dollars, or Euros. We will convert the amount in our record to the desired payment methods.

These options will now be available when purchasing a single Yukon unit or the 3 X SP30 Farmer's choice deal.

FYI, I noticed a drop in hashrate. Thought it was bad luck but the hash rate dropped a bit everyday. After a reboot, I'm back with fantastic hashrate : quiet mode runing @ 1.4+ TH/s and normal mode @1.55+ TH/s (one hour stats).
I advice a reboot -done in 60s- everyday for optimal hash rate.
Running version 1.2.35

I have a question about warranty + hosting.

What is the warranty period you offer on new miners?
What is the process to return the miner back to you to fix it?
Do you send spare parts with instructions on self-fix or everything has to be done by you?

Hosting:
Have you thought about providing extended warranty for your hosted miners?
If I start with a hosting plan - I can just stop it whenver I want - pay you for shipping and send it out to me?

Lots of questions - hope not answered yet Tongue

I didn't see such system behaviour. It can be related to the way the pool computes hash-rate. Can you send me image of your hash graph to zvi@spondoolies-tech.com?

Depending on the pool it could be that it is being DDOS'ed that would also cause a drop in hash rate at the miner end.

@spondoolies

Will there be some kind of bonus for the guys who bought the first sp10/sp30 bundle? They payed around 9000$ per sp30 and those are now only 4500$.

These are your most loyal customers, who trusted you from the start and put their money where their mouth was.

Essentially they payed double the amount for only 2 weeks earlier delivery....
