The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

well it seems you did everything right except for the network wiring ( hurts my eyes to look at that) and  not having an automated fire suppression system.  With that much money invested I'm curious as to why you skipped that peice ?

About network cables. They are not a fire hazard. And like this it isn't the most beautiful thing but easy to access and it makes sense in Btc land. Since things change quick.
Fire suppression system. Yeah if I could turn back time....

I have to say. That's a funny photo shop. Only sad it is my own cloud mining ;-(.

So if you want to call our setup crap fine,

So what was the root cause of the fire?   Are these new pictures now?  Is this your brand new setup (after the fire or before?)  Looks good!   Cheers

Fans are annoying like that..

There wasn't a single report of any SP-Tech miner bursting into flames so your argument doesn't stand. Miners also have their own fans+they shut down if they are too hot.

The main issue is what the frack were the guards doing and why they couldn't stop the fire from spreading.

Its not just the SP30 fans that could have cuaght fire dude calm down lol.  There are like tons of other fans in that facility it seems.

As to why did the two guards on site not attempt to risk thier lives to stop a dangerous electical fire... ?
1- Did not want to die for the money they were getting paid
2- They are not firefighters.
3- Mostly I bet they didnt want to die to save someone else's property.

The guards where only for the entrances not for inside the buildings. The staff for the computers where sadly sleeping this time. 1 push on the central power station would have stopped the fire. But no one has pushed it. Anyway it's done now. Let's leave it.

The miners are not touching the big fans so if one big fan caught some fire I think there was enough space to not hurt the miners plus the guards should see some smoke.

I am not saying that they should've done the firefighters job. If something burst into flames the guards should've seen the smoke. Since there was a lot of metal inside the building it makes me thing that the fire couldn't have spread THAT fast. I wonder how big was the fire when they called in the firefighters because I have a feeling that the fire was already big so they were either sleeping or doing something else, except watch the miners!

The staff for the computers should be fired then.

There should have been sleeping in shifts not all at the same time , 3rd world employees will let you down 100% of the time unless you are there to supervise those lazy bums lol.

True when they called about the fire. I can see in the miner stats that the fire was already 1 hour going. So they where all sleeping ;-).  and stupid me trusted them with all this equipment. That's my big mistake. But again, I can't turn back time. No one hurt and a lesson learned.

Well Sorry for your loss hopefully alot of those boards are salvageable and can be refurbished by SP-TECH

we would still like to know the root cause of the fire if you every find out and thanks for the detail on all this.

Like SP-TECH said though your big issue will be sorucing new power supplies for so many machines.

The guards where only for the entrances not for inside the buildings. The staff for the computers where sadly sleeping this time. 1 push on the central power station would have stopped the fire. But no one has pushed it. Anyway it's done now. Let's leave it.

Did you have security cameras?

Never had this problem with the Sp30 However I am hashing only 760GH with the SP20.  EVGA 1300 Watt PSU.  I am at my home with 110V was firing it up before I went down to my shop.  I have 240V there.  Any Sugestions?  Loop 2 is dead.

I have a question. would it be possible to put say 3xSP31 inside of one of these:

http://www.acoustiproducts.com/en/ucoustic_active.asp

I would have the ducting setup aswell so that i can vent the hot air out of the building, i am also in a cold climate. I am sure that there must be many people here intrested in making it easier living with these machines. Grin

Drop your max limit to 285, i had te same shit 4-5 times until i dropped the limit. seems the learning cycle isnt as potent as the SP30 one for some reason.

@CowboyMiner - HOW could you spend millions on hardware and then hire GUARANTEED fuck ups to (pretend) to watch over it for you???

hindisight being what it is i feel for you but you made some gross errors of judgement.

I hope things work out for you, but i imagine if you can throw millions at a project and watch it go up in flames you are probably already building 15 more 'data centers'
