I was hoping to see discussion about our Nigerian Victor Oshime, who without no doubts and arguments deserves the African Best Player Award this season. On no account should he be robbed. I hope to see him taking it because he deserves it, he's good form has made him linked to both Manchester United and Chelsea. They both look forward to securing the most informed number nine in the world currently.

I doubt any other person wins it, Mo Salah has been avaeragytgis season and Sadio Mane is nowhere to be found especially after moving form the premier league to a league that hardly gets the media attention. Victor Osimhen has been all over the media lately and even though hime doesn't win any trophy this season, his personal achievement should get his this award. My worries now is can the Nigeria coach utilized him very effectively so we can lift the Africa Cuo of Nations because it seems like forever we lifted that cup. Nigerians strikers ar doing very well all over Europe that we shouldn't fail to qualify for the tournament.
Quote
🇳🇬Victor Osimhen - 28 games & 23 goals

🇳🇬Victor Boniface - 41 games & 19 goals

🇳🇬Paul Onuachu - 28 games & 17 goals

🇳🇬Terem Moffi - 24 games & 15 goals

🇳🇬Ademola Lookman - 27 games & 14 goals

🇳🇬Gift Orban - 9 games & 12 goals

6 players, 100 goals this season. Nigerian attackers are on fire! And Folarin Balogun is still eligible.

For the AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS QUALIFICATION FIXTURES AND RESULTS 2023 who do you think will be the top scorer of the qualifications rows. I'm thinking Victor Osimhen and Nigeria is going to secure a spot in the finals of the AFCON competition very easily. They play GUINEA-BISSAU next on the 24/03/2023 and I don't see them losing that match. What do you guys think about this fixture and other fixtures as well?.

Wooh that is big news for Nigeria's football federation having the African greatest Goalkeeper of all time, but the question is what is the impact of this on the performance of the super Eagles among other African teams?

-Have we not been constantly conceding goals in most matches, so what is the use of being the greatest of all time when goals are pouring in in all matches, I am sure he has earn the title based on merits and his efforts so I join you to congratulate him on that title.

I'm not surprised by this news, ever since I started picking interest in Africa football like watching every AFCON tournament I haven't seen a goal keeper impressed me like Vincent Enyeama, he was so good that I wanted to be a goalie myself. I don't think there was any other person that deserves this than him. Vincent Enyeama was so good that he once was the top scorer at the league he was playing in. Also I remember how he frustrated Argentina and Messi whenever they encounter Nigeria at the world cup stages before the final match that we played each other and Messi had to score him twice after not been able to score against him in multiple occasions.

Vincent Enyeama absence is still been felt by the Super eagles as we're yet to replace him. Other goal keepers that have come after his departure has been inferior and that's one of the issue the super eagles are facing at the moment. We're currently on international break and the AFCON qualifiers matches continues. Which of those game are you guys most interested in watching?.

This is a good one seeing one of our own been rewarded for his hard work and devotion to the love of the game. This should serve as an encouragement to the young ones coming through same path to believe in their abilities and that their hard work to pay off in the future. Congratulations to Vincent Enyeama this is indeed a great achievement for him and the entire nation.

Nigeria will play host to Guinea-Bissau tomorrow 24th March, 2023 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, in the Federal Capital Territory. This is for the African Nation Cup Qualification match. Nigeria tops the table with 6 points and Guinea-Bissau in second place with 4 points.

Quote
Nineteen Super Eagles players are currently in camp ahead of Nigeria’s 2023 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, double-header qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau. Recall that Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, invited 23 players for the AFCON double-header clash against Guinea-Bissau.

The first-leg tie will take place on Friday at the Abuja National Stadium, while the second-leg will take place on March 27 at the Estádio 24 de Setembro in Bissau. The Super Eagles currently sit on top of the AFCON qualifier Group A table with six points from two games. Guinea-Bissau, on the other hand, are in second position with four points from the same number of games.

According to a tweet via the Super Eagles’ official Twitter handle on Tuesday morning, the 18 players currently in camp are Akpoguma, Aribo, Lookman, Iwobi, Ajayi, Aniagboso, Uzoho, Ndidi, Bameyi, Omeruo, Onyeka, Simon, Onuachu, Osayi, Musa, Moffi, Sochima, Bassey and Onyemaechi.
https://dailypost.ng/2023/03/21/nigeria-vs-guinea-bissau-19-players-in-camp-ahead-of-afcon-qualifier/

I would say Nigeria will win but I won't because the last time they played in that stadium they lost woefully. I will chose to remain neutral here. What do you think? Which team do you think will win this first leg?

Nigeria wins easily, the super eagles are on a quest to win all 6 qualifiers and go on to win the next AFCON tournament. It's been very long since the squad won the tournament and with the way everybody is playing at their different clubs, with our strikers scoring goals easily, every other players will want to impress knowing eyes are on them for the summer scouting. This means we would likely be getting a good football and not just a win. The Super eagles has been on a poor form having lost all friendlies they had last year but that doesn't mean they don't have the squad to defeat Guinea-Bissau.

Looking at the statistics, Guinea-Bissau has lost the only match they played against the Super eagles and it was a 2:0 win in favor of the supper eagles. I see nothing less in the game tomorrow or we're adding more goals as I can see Victor Osimhen is hungry for the goals. I watched them train few days ago and I was impressed by how happy the players are for been called up. We'll also be having home advantage and Guinea-Bissau aren't our ravals like Ghana that we should be scared about.

Is it exactly the same for me too, it's my first time seeing such a country name, Infact, I had to Google search that to be sure it is actually a name of a country and also an African country, I discovered that it is actually a country in Central Africa that speaks Portuguese as their official language.

I watch a small part of the match, it was really interesting though, the two team indeed played well, and even though the team I was hoping they would win didn't, I am still happy with the outcome..

By tomorrow, it will be the second time Nigeria will be playing against Guinea Bissau. The first time they meet each other Guinea's home town, Nigeria won by 2 goals.
It's a home-win game for the Nigeria team. Guinea Bissau is not the team that would win or draw against Nigeria(They no reach atal).
Am quite positive about tomorrow's match for my dear country "Nigeria" to win against Guinea Bissau by tomorrow

It's a home-win game for the Nigeria team.
Let's hope everything go as planned, because I still do not believe that any team should be underrated, It is still football and anything can happen, but because the good form some of our have had in their respective clubs like Osimhen and Iwobi we have some level of positivity that we will win. Guinea-Bissua since they are playing away from home may become intimidated by the home supporters of the super eagles that will be watching the game live.

I hope that the last Incident in the national stadium after the super eagles lost to Ghana for the world Cup qualifiers where they vandalized and destroyed the facilities due to annoyance does not repeat if what we do not expect happens.

I would say Nigeria will win but I won't because the last time they played in that stadium they lost woefully. I will chose to remain neutral here. What do you think? Which team do you think will win this first leg?
By tomorrow, it will be the second time Nigeria will be playing against Guinea Bissau. The first time they meet each other Guinea's home town, Nigeria won by 2 goals.
It's a home-win game for the Nigeria team. Guinea Bissau is not the team that would win or draw against Nigeria(They no reach atal).
Am quite positive about tomorrow's match for my dear country "Nigeria" to win against Guinea Bissau by tomorrow
Nigeria 0 - 1 Guinea-Bissau
From observation Nigeria will not qualified for this year African Cup of Nations. Look at what they are playing on the field. Yes everyone plus radio stations in Nigeria were predicted Nigeria to win this game because Nigeria has won them once and this is the second time they are playing in international level. All the Super Eagles Fans were judging from the previous match but things have changed, Guinea-Bissau has waking up and defeated Nigerian Super Eagles.

Nigerian football team is drastically going down. And the cause is the whole management from top to bottom. Even the coach is still calling Musa to come back to the team again which we have qualify players at home, they are playing politics in the sport organization which is the problem we have if not there are good players that are in Nigeria that can do we. Well the match is almost to the end. They are playing the extra time to end the match. I am also happy that Nigeria will not qualified because if they do they will give someone heart attack, High Blood Pressure. So it is better they stay at home

I just got really surprised to have the Nigerian national team losing to guinea Bissau before my eyes ....even when they've got José Peseiro as a professional Coach in Thier midst.
I don't really think it's the player's fault to have lost so many chances like that....cus for real, the chances kept coming....they don't even seem to have had a comfortable positioning and formation, so the whole gameplay was rough and Nigerians had possession of the ball, but they weren't able to do alot with it.

The super eagles are not ready to start dominating African football. There’s too much politics involved in the decision making process of the national team. We saw how the team played today, there was no synergy between the players, I doubt they even had enough training time together as a team. For us to get better, I think we should  focus on recruiting players from the Nigerian premier league into the national team, these young lads are determined to prove themselves and will give their all to the game.

I added them for a sure win for my parlay and they lose to such a weak opponent. This is why i hate betting on African teams. Always low amount of goals and underdogs always know how to surprise . Its not like in europe where mostly favorites win

Just like I said that anything can happen in football, No surprise for me that the super eagles lost this game. We had some good chance in the game, but lacked the proper finishing to convert even though we had the hottest striker in the Italian league Victor Osimhen on our team and the home advantage. It was a disappointing show for people who really banked on the Super Eagles and placed bets on them.

The super Eagles will have to improve on their goal scoring in the second leg to be played on Monday (March 27th), else if they play the way they played today without scoring goals, The game will not end goalless but Guinea Bissua will win again because they are better at taking any chance they get.

True... Total politics.
It's very real that whoever is in charge of games and sports isn't doing anything about the tournament on ground., That atleast is showing -- to what extent -- how currupt they are.
I remember a particular moment when They had the chance to score against Bissau as an equalizer; and all the winger could've done would be, -- swave in a pass to Osimhen, and that was all....but his idea was a different one that ended in a futile waste.
Edit: They refuse to scout in the younger ones to play,... believe me, that's done on purpose -- but, to whatever purpose they're doing that for, I think it's time they knew that it sucks!!
Edit 2: @Joca, sorry for your loss mhan!

Sadly I missed today's game, I thought it was 7 PM not knowing it was 5 PM. When I enter the car to start going to my usual venue to chill out and watch the game that's when I heard on the radio that Nigeria was losing to Guinea-Bissau with few minutes to go. I was shocked but thank God I didn't waste my time going to watch the game. It would had just spoiled my whole mode for the night. Hearing the scoreline from the radio and browsing to confirm it didn't have much impact on my mental health like how experiencing the disappointment first hand would had done. Looking at the rating of Nigeria players I could see why we Lost the game. Excluding Victor Osimhen I didn't see any other players getting above 4 points.

Well the game today was a disappointment but that doesn't mean we should be attacking the federation when that's how football selection are in every part of the world. The players on the pitch today were good choice but I believe the lack of understanding between the players cause everything. Don't deceive yourself that politics isn't involved in other parts of the world or aren't you seeing football relatives getting called up for clubs etc when they aren't deserving. Imagine someone like Mason Mount that has been poor for Chelsea for this season getting called up for england. I just think Super eagles were unlucky and this is the first competitive loss after the loss to Ghana. The rest are friendlies and doesn't matter much but no doubt the coach needs to do better.

The Nigeria super Eagle team 1-0 lost to Gunea Bissau at home today is something I can't really understand, They can just be serious for once knowing this is African Nations cup Qualifiers to start with such result. they featured most of the top European based players Chukwueze, Victor Osimhen and others, yet they lost the game. This is really annoying seeing my home team Nigeria mess up most of the time in some games which they're suppose to win very easily. They Missed a lot of their chances today , even the ball that Chukwueze is supposed to put in the back of the net, he threw the ball away.

People jump to talk about politics once it concern Africa or Nigeria. Yes our football federation is a bit shitty and bias but same goes to other nations too. In this particular match I didn’t see anything bad just that we lack the connection. From the team selection there wasn’t any natural creative midfielder the likes of Iwobi and iheanacho are just Central midfielder and Second striker respectively. Ndidi was also poor but what do we expect from a someone that hasn’t played much minutes this season.

The super Eagles still have a very big chance to qualify they are just one point behind Guinea Bissau and have a second leg game against on Monday.
