Napoli super striker has proven to his country that he is a goal machine,as he scored two superb goals in the first half on the19th and 32nd minutes back to back to put his country on the winning side. Osinmeh has scored 17 goals in 25 appearance for Nigeria.
The dude is on fire and his absence in the last world cup qualifiers cost Nigeria a place in the tournament. His brace in the game against Sierra Leone brought his tally in the AFCON qualifiers to 7 goals making him the highest goal scorer in the qualifying stage. I wish him well in the forth coming AFCON and I would love to see him finish as the tournament's top scorer.

Nigeria players couldn't defend one goal in 45mins. I will blame the coach for this because he made a wrong change which affected the game. Sierra Leone are taking advantage of the substitute made by Nigeria to equalise the game and the almost even win the match because after equalising the goal they were still pressuring to score another goal to win the match.

Nigeria made six substitute which wasn't necessary. Sierra Leone equalised two goals. What a good finish from Ihenacho to give their winning goal which he scores on the 95mins to end the match. What a magnificent victory from the super eagles this evening. Nigeria now tops their group with 12 points
The substitution changed the whole dynamic of the game and gave them a chance for a comeback. We are very lucky that Iheanacho scored in the last minute of the game to give Nigeria a win. With the result, Nigeria has automatically quality for AFCON 2023, and we will only be playing to finish on top of the group in our next game.

It was a big miracle bro, I have even given up on the game after Serra Leone equalised the goal and I was mad at the coach for making changes when the boys were already winning the game.

Good job eagles, the new goal keeper was good, they should consider starting all matches the more he proves himself. I would say it would have been better if he had kept a clean sheet but then he can't take the blame for the mistakes of the defenders. The defense has to be better, all in all good performance from the team but I still not convinced that this was their best. My conviction would come, if they play against Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal. These are our brothers on the west side that can give the Nigerian team a run for their money.

Whether a win or draw, Nigeria still qualifies for the AFCON
Good news for Nigeria, but heading to the AFCON, there are strong concerns about if the current super eagles coach José Peseiro is the best option to lead the country to that competition. José Peseiro was appointed on 15 May 2022 and the contract is to end this june.

During his time, Nigeria lost two international friendly games to Mexico and Ecuador, won Sierra Leone and Sao Tome & Principe in the AFCON qualifiers, lost to Algeria and Portugal in another two International friendly games, Lost to Guinea Bissau in one AFCON qualifiers game and won the other, they also won against Sierra Leone in the second leg of the AFCON qualifiers. In total, he has lost five games and won just four.

Do you think he should continue?

I thought I was the only one that noticed the new keeper's brilliance, he impressed me as well and I support him starting our future games. As I'm writing I just watched the first half of the qualifiers between Burundi vs Namibia, I thought this was going to be a close one that'll end in a draw but surprisingly, Burundi is winning 3:1 and are looking favorite to win the game without been the best team on the field. It's been very long I watched an African game that the best team didn't win so I'm expecting Namibia to perform a comeback but I know that's unlikely to happen. Namibia are top of their group so probably they aren't taking the game seriously.

The group C teams has just be filled with poor performance, no team has comfortably won two games and for Namibia been at the top with only one wins says it all. Well the game is about to resume so let me go continue watching and I'll come back with an update when the game finishes. Just so you guys know, Namibia scored the last goal fo the game just few minutes before the half time so let see if they can continue with the momentum and equalizer the game before they complete the 90mins of game time.

It is difficult to say at this stage because I think it is still too early, this is still early stages of his campaign and I believe he needs more time with the team probably through the AFCONS to determine if he is the right man for the job or not. As for now he’s had just few games with the squad definitely not enough to evaluate his performance and capabilities.

I don't support foreign coaches and I'm waiting for the day the Nigerian football federation will realized that and stop hiring foreign coaches instead we should grow our own. We have coaches in the local league that have won the title back to back that if given the same opportunities this foreign coaches are been given that they'll do very well for the country. This foreign coaches have nothing to lose because if they don't perform well the worst we can do is to sack then and hand them a bag of cash to terminate their contract. We need to start using our own which they can be held accountable for and be determine to proof themselves to their people.

The last time the super eagle won any major trophy was in 2013 and that's 10years ago and guess the coach that won us that AFCON tournament, it was the late Stephen Keshi (may his soul rip). We need indigenous coach if we want the super eagle to be playing good football again. José Peseiro contract shoudn't be renewed, he hasn't proven without any doubt that he can deliver this boys to glory. I haven't seen anything special about his style of coaching or playing. Infact it seems the boys are just playing anyhow they feel and their games are just horrible. Imagine they almost lost the last game if not for the late winner from Kelechi Iheanacho.

I agree, not entirely with everything that you have said, but the part that the performance of the super eagles has not been impressive in most of the games that they have played since the new coach.

Indigenous coaches need to be given an opportunity and not only should foreign coaches have preference for the job.

It is difficult to say at this stage because I think it is still too early, this is still early stages of his campaign and I believe he needs more time with the team probably through the AFCONS to determine if he is the right man for the job or not.
so you agree that the NFF should gamble again with this upcoming AFCON? We have a very good chance now to win the AFCON with the quality of players we have now, a good coach is good to compliment them will do it.

The Super Eagles coach is not only incompetent, he is also not the right man for the job. Under his tutelage, the team has struggled to keep their leads, struggled to win the easiest of games; fail to compete in the big games, and do not even have rhythm at all. I doubt if the Nigeria team can scale beyond the quarter finals at the AFCON tournament

Hey guys the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup has kicked off. Why is no one talking about it? Nigeria will be playing against Canada tomorrow at 3:30pm West Africa Time. They are in Group B with teams like Australia, Canada and Republic of Ireland. In this group, Austria already has 3 points leading the group haven beaten Republic of Ireland. From the stats I saw online, Canada has been given a higher probability for winning the match against Nigeria. I doubt that, our females are powerful contenders and my prediction is that the match will either end in a draw or a win in favour of the Nigerian team. What are your preditictions? Which African team do you think is most likely to advance to the finals and if possible win the competition?

Other African teams include South-Africa, Zambia, Morrocco. I hope they make us all proud.

I didn't know about it until I stumbled on this topic yesterday, FIFA Women's World Cup 2023. The group is a tough one if you ask me, the super falcons will be locking horns with the reigning olympic champion and it's a game I'm looking forward to. We've poor stats against the north american teams, winning one out of four games which could be one of the reasons Canada is being tipped to win tomorrow's encounter. Though, we are going into the game as underdog but I hope we can produce an upset.

What are your predictions? Which African team do you think is most likely to advance to the finals and if possible win the competition?
Aside the super falcons another african team to look at for is South Africa. African team to reach the final or win the tournament?.. No comment.

Which African team do you think is most likely to advance to the finals and if possible win the competition?
The super falcons is the most likely African team that can go far in this competition and even advance to the finals. They have already shown determination to do well in this competition from how they played their first game and were able to hold the strong Canadian women to a draw. If they can improve with every game they play in this competition, they can get to the finals.

Other African teams include South-Africa,
They will play tomorrow against Sweden, it will be a good time to see how well they can perform in this competition.

Zambia...
They are already a disappointment, conceding five goals against the Japanese.

... Morrocco
They have a big test in their first game which is against Germany. They need a really good performance.

Men competition is way more popular than Women's one and I barely noticed some people talking about the current competition personally. Many people also aren't aware of most teams playing whether players, coaches, tactics...so they cannot predict precisely which team will win and how many goals will be scored.
Anyway, Italy, Germany and Brazil are favourite to win in tomorrow's games on Australia and New Zealand stadiums.

Okay I didn't watch this match but it was trending all over social media and I was impressed from the video shorts I was watching. What impressed me the most was the penalty that was saved by the Nigerian goal keeper. Nobody expected her to saved the penalty. I'm glad the match ended goalless as we could have conceded judging from how good the Canadian women were playing and domination the game. They had more ball possession but couldn't do anything with the ball. I'm happy we were playing with one less woman due to the red card given for just few minutes before the game ended because if that red card came earlier we could have conceded.

Among the nations representing African, I believe Nigeria can go far but the other teams I'm not confident about them and I don't need to check their group to conclude on that. Nigerians are the best female teams in African and if they can't go far it'll only be because of the teams they're in the group with but I believe they can get something from this group. They have already drawn with Canada. If they can win the Republic of Ireland then draw with Australia, they'll qualify out of the group unless canada is to win their next two matches

The first set of games that the African countries have played have shown that our predictions of the super falcons being the African team that will progress the most in the competition is almost correct. Morocco were defeated by Germany with six goals and they were not able to score even a consolation goal, South Africa already lost to Sweden, Japan embarrassed the Zambians too by defeating them with five goals, Zambia was also unable to score a goal, it is only the super falcons that have shown a positive performance.

And finally the super falcons became the first African country to advance to the round of 16 and it seems they'll be playing against England. What do you guys think, can they defeat england and move on to the next stage of the competition. To be frank I was angry that the super falcons couldn't top the group because they didn't get all three points from the last game that was played earlier today. We defeated Australia and drew with Canada and Ireland but we had opportunity to win the game against Ireland but didn't take them.

I don't know the strength of the English players (england) but it would had been better with avoided a strong side because the girls aren't playing brilliantly as I expected. I watched today games and it seems the girls didn't know what they were doing all through the game. I only saw some signs of good football for about 20 minutes in the second half but yet the girls couldn't do anything with all the possessio they had for that period because Ireland players dominated the possession. Overall, it's a good thing we advance and than God we had enough points because at some point I was thinking we might get knockout of the competition.

First off, I want to appreciate the super falcons for their stellar performance in the tournament so far. Despite the outcome of their last match against Ireland which was a goalless draw, they moved to the next round of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023. So far, their consistency is admirable as well as the defenders. However, I have one tiny worry which is that they did not win their group which puts them in a tricky position. Their next match is on August 7th, 2023. Wishing looking forward to their game.

They need to improve, all the good record so far in the competition will be useless if they loose their first game in the round of 16. Nigeria will be preparing to play England, and the game will be as tight as the first game they played against Canada which was a very strong team.

The Nigerian defence has been impeccable, I will not be surprised if they win by one goal.

We can only wish them luck since they're representing our nationality but they need to up their game if they want to win the English side. Qualifying from the groups stage should boost their confidence going into the next game since they were the lowest ranked team in the group yet they progressed but we didn't reach our full potential. They had a chance to create history by been the first African team to top the group in the competition but threw that away. Australia weren't a tough opponent and they could have scored them but they were holding back leavings the ball for them. They didn't attack the Australian side that much and that's the reason behind the draw.

They need to improve, all the good record so far in the competition will be useless if they loose their first game in the round of 16. Nigeria will be preparing to play England, and the game will be as tight as the first game they played against Canada which was a very strong team.

South Africa also qualified and this is their first time qualifying from the group stage of the women FIFA world cup. Morocco has a good chance of qualifying tomorrow as they play Columbia. If the super falcons don't make us proud against england we have others that can lead the nation to further stages of the competition. Nigeria needs to attack more so we can score more goals. Teams like France are scoring 6 goals and we can play like them. We're the best team in Africa so we have to represents the continent very well and not play only defensive football that'll get us only draws.

Today, the Nigerian Super Falcons would face England. Personally, I am in high spirits and expect a win from the girls. I look forward to Asisat and Alozie taking the team to the next round of the competition. I know that the role of teamwork cannot be downplayed as the two aforementioned players can't do it alone. No doubt, this is going to be one of the toughest games the girls would play in this competition and so by all means, they must win. Losing is not an option. Predictions; 2- 1 in favor of Nigeria.

We gotta be tough against the three lions if we will win this game. We can kick them out just like Sweden did to the US. Chiamaka Nnadozie needs to be as good as Zecira Musovic was for Sweden yesterday in the goal, even better. Asisat Oshoala will come off the bench for Nigeria, so we will need to depend on Uchenna Kanu for the first half. Lauren James, Alessia Russo are players that our defenders need to watch out for. Hope we do not get eliminated like South Africa, we are the real hope for African teams in this competition, not morocco or South Africa that just left.
