You should say for which GPU u use these settings, because when i would use these settings my miner/gpu would crash.

sapphire 290x, also you need at least 8 gig of ram probably, i have 16. that-w 512 is memory intensive as I understand it. I could be completely wrong.

the diff is now 70? does that mean all the pools are coming online?

What's interesting is I don't think the block found in this image was accepted, I don't show a transaction with that time stamp in my wallet.

I hope your wallet is unlocked, if it's encrypted (Overview page of your wallet) - otherwise your wallet won't accept the rewards.

yes it is unlocked

what i don't understand is the counter shows 14 transactions, but only 13 DMD and none immature (re: the image above)

Similar here....I have 2 more transactions than diamonds. Maybe they orphaned during confirmation? And the wallet drops orphans without any record? (no record needed really for a coin-that-never-was)  My quess anyways......

Can you please post your settings? and diamond.conf ? obviously omit true passwords..

I posted my settings several times but i'll do it again

For solo mining, i use a HIS Radeon HD 6950 at GPU clock 930 MHz and Memclock 1350 MHz.

Code:
.\sgminer\sgminer.exe -k groestlcoin -o 127.0.0.1:17772 -u yourusername -p yourpassword  --intensity 20 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 -w 256 --difficulty-multiplier 0.0039062500

Diamond config.

Code:
listen=1
daemon=1
server=1
rpcallowip=*
rpcuser=yourusername
rpcpassword=yourpassword
rpcport=17772
addnode=213.229.0.41

the block accepted here hows up in my wallet in no way other than on the "overview" tab, under "transactions" as the number "14", however only 13 coins are shown.  and I dont show a 14th transaction at the correct time on the "transactions" tab.

I did receive a system tray notification from the wallet app of the incoming transaction when it was solved.

Do you know why that is?

hi fellow diamond lovers

i did spend a day with family today so u escaped u a lot of postings from my side

overview of today after i checked all infos from dev team is following

wallet stable and ui fixed
solomining working like a charm on supercool groestl algo (show me a pure solomined coin with 40-70 diff like we have now....)
poolmining still running into troubles multiple pool admins and our dev team investigating this issue

overall its looking way better compared to release day
BUT still its far from what we wanted to deliver

we working hard to deliver what u and we expected to be in allready
the excuse that we had to deliver pre planned launch date isnt suiteable for all problems we did find

we did learn a lot and will improve testprocess and quality checks for future releases

thx for ur understanding

im overwhelmed by your support and im prood of our comiunity working together to solve pool issues

What about PoS? Has anyone successfully minted a block? My wallets try all the time, but the blocks never make it, just like the pool submit block generated PoW blocks. There is just no error message.

It should be somewhere in your debug.log
I seem to have waited too long, it's already purged it. So, i'm to assume it was rejected?
I looked in mine.  When a block is accepted by your wallet, it puts the flag "derivedStatus=0".  When the next block found by the network comes along, if your block is confirmed, it takes the value "derivedStatus=1" and shows in your wallet. If your block was found at a time very close, but before yours, by someone else on the network, the block is orphaned and the flag takes the value "derivedStatus=2" instead.  When that happens, the reward is removed from your wallet, and your wallet "REORGANIZED".  The block after the block that was just found is always the tie-breaker.
You can search for those keywords in your debug file and see what happens, line by line.

Thank you for your help.

Here's what I've found, but I'm not sure about the time..

Are old scrypt DMD coins already staking? Id be pretty impressed if they are. I was thinking stake age started when groestl fork came into affect. If thats true then probably wont see minted coins for little under a month from now.

Quick question why arent you using
;

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

Just did a little test, removed it and put it back on and it made things more stable in regards to the actual speed and avg speed. Probably wont matter too much to be honest.

Thank you! I tried it but still no shares!
Here is my new config:

Code:
cd sgminer
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer.exe -k groestlcoin -o stratum+tcp://dmdpool.digsys.bg:3333 -u chr.1 -p x
pause

Zuper are you still getting no accepted shares?  Are you using old drivers?  I was still using 12.8 (because they worked...) and had similar problems.  I updated the drivers, which went smooth, and now I can get shares at Danbi's pool.

Truth of the matter is, this change in the algorithm is really not good for small miners.  I used to get 10-15 Diamonds per day.  I spent two days trying to figure out how to mine groestl, dealt with all the issues we all have, and I've gotten 2 Diamonds since the change.  I don't think I can solo mine at the current difficulty - I only have 3 decent graphics cards, probably 16-20 Mh/s total if I use them all for Diamond.  And there are no pools that work.  Lower fan noise and lower energy consumption sound great, but I'm just not making any profit.  Diamond mining is off the agenda for me until something changes.

yeah i know

There is a mistake with the shown hashrate at your pool i have about 7.5 MH/s and it shows 0.01 MH/s. I know it isn't important at this point, but you should know it Wink

To all pool operators who have MPOS and have incorrect MH statistics...

This is how I fixed it in my Groestlcoin pool:

public\include\classes\coins\coin_scrypt.class.php:

Quote
<?php
$defflip = (!cfip()) ? exit(header('HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized')) : 1;

/**
 * We extend our CoinBase class
 * No need to change anything, base class supports
 * scrypt and sha256d
 **/
class Coin extends CoinBase {
  protected $target_bits = 24;
}

?>

By default this value is 16. My guess is that it multiplies it by 256, which is the difficulty multiplier for Groestl algo.

that have nothing to do with changed algo
its more people want to mine so diff is higher
mining diff is same as exchange price a indicator of coin value

and same as some people stop to buy at at price xy some people stop mining at difficulty xy

some others seem to belive diff is still low enought to make this worth their mining time
special combined with a calculation of power cost

I seem to be having some issue with the wallet. Here is the error message I get

thx for error report

we did have a look into this issue and where able reproduce at least one way to make this happen
it seems opening wallet short after close wallet can lead to problem with blockchain

we will have a fix for this in one of next wallet releases
if u get this error u have to replace ur blockchain with backuped one or the one we give for download
(or sync it new but this takes ages)

in the time until we release fix
please make sure:
after close a diamond wallet wait at least 30 sec before start it again

I see some new blocks, that apparently originate at pools (as they pay the 5% developer tax).

Who are you guys? Speak up how you made this mess work.

so u say there is a working pool up already and u analyzed it by researching blockexplorer?
how ca u dedect a block is mined by a pool there?
and who runs a secret pool?

Lots of people mine at private pools. They aren't secret, just invitation only.  If I'm not soloing, I mine on private pools.
