when trying to send coins with my 2.0.1 wallet i get the error that the coins i want to send exceed my balance , however they dont , how do i fix that ? Tongue

Change the amount so that the amount you are sending INCLUDES the network transaction fee amount.
So if you are sending 1.12345678 and you only have 1.12345678 and the transaction fee is usually around 0.001...

So you would send 1.12245678 and the network transaction fee will "eat" that 0.001, emptying your wallet...or in the case that you had...you were trying to send just a tad more than you have (inadvertently) so the wallet stopped you from going negative, which is a good thing.

So you should DECREASE your transaction amount by the amount the DMD network charges (fee) to make the transaction.



well i have 29 and cant send a single one , also im not able to type anything in the wallet and have to paste everything

Backup your wallet and reinstall? I haven't mined DMD in awhile and don't have a DMD wallet installed currently. I will look into installing the new wallet and see if I can help out a little more.

Maybe someone else will chime in???

The wallet doesnt seem to work with POS yet.
The "stake" doesnt show up. I got coins in for more than 30 days and it won't "stake".

Any light on this?

Do you have any reservebalnce setting? Diamond.conf file in the folder where wallet.dat is? What is in there - don't post passwords please Smiley

What wallet software you use? From where it came, etc? You may have some problem with the wallet. The safest option is to backup your wallet.dat file somewhere safe, remove everything, reinstall, resync and copy it back (the start the wallet again).

Just for information:
Network fee is proportional to the size of the transaction you create. If your wallet contains many small denominations (a typical solo miner's would contain many 1 DMD amounts), when sending larger amount, it has to recombine all those in a single transaction. The minimum fee is 0.001 DMD. For each 1kb, it is increased with that much. Sending 100 amounts (or 100 DMD if your wallet has 1 DMD "coins") results in about 0.012 DMD in fees. It is unlikely you will have lots of smaller than 1 DMD amounts, unless you do a lot of transactions and create "change" (which is one of those 1 DMD minus the fees). Change is first used for fees, though.
These things might change in future, but this is how the current (and the one before, etc) wallet works.

I was going off this quote from cryptonit from the last page:

Now this is not one of his better efforts, double negatives,etc, but I took it to read that they were having problems getting the wallet to stake.  I'm sure I read another post to the same effect a few pages earlier.  Don't make me look for it, life is too short Smiley

PoS cannot work in the current network, because of invalid data already in the block chain. This has been commented already.
It took some time to identify the reasons for this. The block chain damage was done many months ago.
A mechanism to fix this and avoid it happening in the future is already known and is being tested for side effects.
If I were you, I wouldn't blame anyone... life is too short Smiley

if ya wonder why im so silent next few days im away on a sailing trip
my foundation position was never designed as communication person

i accept ur feedback and will assign the btt communication towards dedicated person(s)
who will  maintain information flow on this channel

i take for myself the freedom to speak and post my opinion wherever i want
because i am not only part of the diamond foundation
i am also a private person with a right to speak and post

nothing can force me to post under a socket-puppet account my personal opinion

regarding update from dev team i can say that we still in testing/adjusting POS behavior in testnet.
(but this time with a copy of whole blockchain so we wont miss troubles which have their origin six months in the past)

a bug from old blockchain is still affecting us
but we did locate the problem and test a fix and its behavior in testnet already
all coin-age u gather now is not lost
u will be able cash in all pos rewards for each day the coins are in ur wallet once we release updatet wallet

and how to sort for withdrawing old coins (POS 30 days) and new coins, example which received 7 days ago?
