No, TA dont work like that, not here. I will take my megar 16X profits. And I wish anyone the honesnt & best of luck getting 256,000 per coin, which would be 16x for them aswell.

ok..lets dump together bro.. I'm tired waiting too.. ill dump on mintpal..about 500k

I dont dump. I sell slow. I have no desire to kill markets.

Most of us buy crypto to make a profit. You've been here from early on and you been a great supporter of VRC. Congratulations on your profit. I wish you nothing but the best and hope that you find a reason to buy back into VeriCoin some time in the future. We'll miss you.

Most of us buy crypto to make a profit.

Is that what most people are here for? Seriously, I'm here because I truly believe crypto can change the world's financial nightmare and level the field between the commoner and the elite. Making money is just a side effect of that for me.

You are definitely in the minority.

I AM involved in VRC for ideological reasons however, but I hold no delusions of overthrowing the financial world. Crypto has the opportunity to provide a viable alternative to fiat currency, and I see VeriCoin as a possible leader in that area.

As far as the rest of crypto goes, most of it needs to do a lot of changing before it can be taken seriously as a real currency.

Agreed. The paranoid "bankster" people are not the majority nor will they lead crypto to mass adoption. I will go so far as to say that they are the reason crypto isn't already mainstream.

http://www.reddit.com/r/vericoin/comments/2bop8l/comments_on_vericoin_from_an_academic_economist/

Hope it is of some interest.

Tom first off congrats on cutting through the garbage on here and not being scared away, secondly probably one of the most useful and well written analysis' to date

Thanks!

"VeriCoin recently experienced an event that would have been devastating for any other currency, with the stealing of a leading exchange’s VeriCoin balance. It seems there are several reasons why this did not trigger a crash." - Dr Tom Holden, 23/07/2014.

Err, OK. You lost all of your credibility right their.

I have been here for a while too, not selling no time soon. Lots of work needs to be done, the devs are passionate & talented. Sometimes it is frustrating to look at the market as we all want the coin to do better and we know it will.

likewise i am in for the long ride.

I can never understand the need that a person has to come on a public forum and trash a community project. 24hrs in the day, you can paint, workout, ride a bike, read a book, find a woman/man whatever floats your boat...the list is endless.  Roll Eyes

It makes me wonder. what has VRC done to you that you are so filled with this venom. ? Huh

VRC is fighting with double bottom, it's obvious that VRC will rise to 25k+ this week.

Smart traders are buying now, noobs will join when VRC will be at 22-25k level.

Last scams at bittrex can't be replaced day by day by new scams, people need solid, legit coins to invest like VRC and few another (i don't want to write them here).

Middle of summer, more people came back from traveling etc. and invest after summer's rest, the whole market cap of alt market will rise soon again.

Mintpal needs new bubbles at "old" solid coins or it'll die, too many scams at bittrex, it can't be like that too long.

I prefer to use this chart below, because this 100k peak at mintpal destroyed good view at chart:

As you can see, VRC after problem with stolen coins and now double bottom is still in the game and direction in short/mid/long is one: UP.
24-25k and here we go, uptrend again.

There was a denial of service attack on the supernodes sometime within the last 48 hours. It caused supernode 4 and 5 to desync and broadcast old blocks, causing clients to desync. I've updated them and blocked the DOS ips so all should be good now. I suspect that this caused several million coins to stop staking.

Support the VeriFund Endowment.

Wow. So we are getting people scared. Good.

Best thing to do is to continue staking your coins. The top wallets are not moving. We are north-bound

good job again Devs. the hackers are persistent, a sign that vericoin is veri valuable and veri much in demand if people would use veri much resources in attempts to steal coins, ddos nodes etc.

make sure they waste all their time and resources and get nothing. #vericoin #verisecure
