What is the consensus on using this version of BAMT:

http://guiminer.net/bamt

They label it "1.1", and seem to host the original 0.5c.  Is it legit?  Which version should I use on a new mining rig with r9 290 and 7970 cards?  Thanks for the information.

This question has probably allready been asked here, but does BAMT support most wireless cards or do I need to use wired connection?

Which version of BAMT should I use with R9 280x cards?

The Hardware Compatibility List link in the original post no longer works.

BAMT 0.5 out of the box won't support R9 280x cards.  You'll have to update the drivers.

I got hacked today somehow by a guy, that created a user called mocrosoft, and installed zenmap, then changed the cgminer.conf file to his own.
I fuckin forgot to look after his adress where he pointed my rig too.

I say, Bamt is not safe to use, cause its backdoored or has some shit code in it. Lost a whole day of mining.

EDIT: I use BAMT 1.2

Will change that immediately, but the old doesnt have drivers for the r9 290, right?

there is no such thing as an official BAMT 1.2. lodcrappo mentioned something about trusting copycat BAMTs.
your conclusion that BAMT is not safe to use is bullshit. The author of BAMT indicates that one of the first things you should do is to set a root password.
i've been using BAMT for a little bit under 2 years and have never had my rigs hacked into.  But of course, I've been using the one and only original BAMT, not some shit copy off some other forum that someone threw out there.
I'd say the fact that the worst thing that happened is that you lost a day of mining is probably the best thing that could have happened, instead of having your entire network hacked.

Have a nice day.

I don't know if this is the right place (the issue/tracker site seems to be down) but the distro does not seem to see any of the wired Ethernet ports on my Z77 mpower motherboard. And I don't think there is a linux driver avalible, since even Ubuntu does not see the wired Ethernet ports. But, Ubuntu does see both of my USB wifi dongles while BAMT does not seem to see either one sadly. I am using the latest BAMT with this being my dongle: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166068
