the silverbox update (comparison from the beginning of this thread, March 13th, 2012, gold=1690, nasdaq=3055, Bitcoin=5.4):
Bitcoin is 309.00 (299.45 btcChina in USD).  Gold is 1296.40.  Nasdaq is 3886.00
Bitcoin: 5622.22% (5445.30%)
Gold:    -23.29%
Nasdaq:  27.20%
Gold Diff:  7360% advantage Bitcoin
Nasdaq Diff:  4399% advantage Bitcoin

EPIC!  Sorry for the delay... just returned from india

Cypherdoc used to talk about adoption driven by price rise, now with the price rising, I am starting to see how this could make sense, in a new way.

I am inspired by the Oz Tomcar company which recently started accepting Bitcoin, the reasoning being: a lot of merchants will conclude from the price performance of Bitcoin, that there must be quite a few people getting rich with their Bitcoins out there, and want to cater to their needs(even one single order could be big for them!), this, combined with the fact that the setting up for accepting Bitcoin costs only trivially, and the potential publicity brought by such a move, could motivate lots of merchants to jump in the bandwagon.

Just check out the ads on bitcoin charts... a year ago they were VERY different!

Litecoin is doing great. Devs are very active and have a good working relationship with the Bitcoin devs. Litecoin adoption is slowly but steady increasing. It will have its moment of fame.

I really don't understand  the demand for litecoin. What does it offer? I can kind of/sort of understand ppc, but l see no competitive advantage with litecoin. And it has the automatic negative of not being first mover, which is huge.

These days I don't really trade BTC anymore, there's too much sentiment value I attach to this thing, so I just trade LTC instead.

LTC have treated me very well, so have PPC.

I was a bit late to the BTC bandwagon and only really got in at 7-14, then sold, didn't get back in again until 60.

I got LTC and PPC when they were single digits cents.

Damnit I wish I had bought more, including selling a testicle and whoring out my cat for revenue.

if you've been paying attention, there have been long periods of time where i couldn't recursively use that term throughout this thread b/c of the inevitable counter trend rallies and trolling that came with it.

only recently, not so much.

and it's only going to get worse.

So I got bored and visited some PM forums, and while I was there I doubted for a moment whether Bitcoin really exists or not. Wink

Checked the gold price. Ouch! But that's just the jobs report, which is smoke and mirrors. Still, compared to Bitcoin gold is sinking like a brimstone.
