Just finished exchanging some VIA for XCH on Clear Wallet. I have never found a more user friendly, intuitive platform. Great work. Makes it all easy for newcomers and I'm sure there will be a lot of them when word gets out. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

It would be good if there is a wallet for linux that can be easily installed. It took me 3 hours to install the linux mint. Is there someone who can talk to the Ubuntu community to Viacoin wallet added to their repository? When would it be possible then to Viacoin the only wallet that can be automatically added unless of course Bitcoin wallet. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Easy to install in Linux (including Mint). sudo apt-get install python-qt4 python-pip python-dev sudo pip install https://github.com/vialectrum/vialectrum/releases/download/v1.9.8.4/Vialectrum-1.9.8.4.tar.gz vialectrum Warning: in Ubuntu 13.10 and later you also must do: sudo apt-get install python-slowaes

It is web browser based and should work fine.

Haha, just for fun. I'm excited about Via. It's all open-source and however you can contribute throw something together ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I hope to contribute a blog in the next couple days about dev advancements. I'm working with one other to try and put together a better version of clearinghouse.io https://github.com/ClearingHouse/clearinghouse.io and if any designers want to get involved with the clearwallet.co I was thinking we could improve the UI design. https://github.com/ClearingHouse/clearwalletIf you're interested in getting involved these are some projects to checkout!

What is the diffrence between viacoin core wallet and this one? Mainly, one downloads the blockchain and the other does not. Also, I think Vialectrum is deterministic. So, if you backup your seed, you have a backup.

Any development updates? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) A Notary system is now in testing, and hopefully more details can be released. http://vennd.io is building a bridge between counterparty and alt-coins and once the source is released I'm very hopeful on seeing it be implemented into Viacoin, although I'm not a dev, if they are willing to make the system compatible. Bridging alt-coins to a fast decentralized exchange like Viacoin could make a huge impact, but I was unable to get a release date for their project, or if it's possible to integrate off the bat.

ooo the pain mining this.. however it was designed that way to slow down miners and coin recycle 3600 confirmations! a 100 MHS ASIC scrypt can only get you 80 VIA a day very very interesting... a 400 MHS ASIC at 6,000$ then 320 VIA a day, nice! also preparing my usual 50 cents to purchase more VIA, its the new standard in crypto trading as so many lost so much, we do it in cents cool, 50 cents or 0.00118688 BTC bought me 4.48927822 (at the moment) I did ASK, not LAST I aint fighting over few Satoshis... looking at various pools, there are miners satisfied with 0.75 VIA a day... I mean they could easily do above as their electricity costs exceed n time 50 cents ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)
