ooo the pain mining this.. however it was designed that way to slow down miners and coin recycle 3600 confirmations!

a 100 MHS ASIC scrypt can only get you 80 VIA a day very very interesting... a 400 MHS ASIC at 6,000$ then 320 VIA a day, nice!

also preparing my usual 50 cents to purchase more VIA, its the new standard in crypto trading as so many lost so much, we do it in cents

cool, 50 cents or 0.00118688 BTC bought me 4.48927822 (at the moment)  I did ASK, not LAST I aint fighting over few Satoshis...

looking at various pools, there are miners satisfied with 0.75 VIA a day... I mean they could easily do above as their electricity costs exceed n time 50 cents

Cool

These calculations suggest VIAcoin is extremely undervalued.

its creeping back up to 29k.  i know a lot of miners who are not selling at these prices

LOL, don't panic sell, Viacoin has a solid and competent dev team, it is not like other scam coins, hold more, earn more Cheesy

Only one situation can panic sell: when SCAM coins are revealed. But it won't happen in Viacoin. Panic sell VIAcoin = lose

@petertoddbtc Hey Peter Smiley  Do you have an ETA for OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY?  ...super excited to try it out!

Peter Todd ‏@petertoddbtc  Sep 1
@MaxcoinOhio Same here! It's probably a week or two of focused work, including testing; hard to say how long actual deployment would take.

MaxcoinOhio ‏@MaxcoinOhio  Sep 1
@petertoddbtc Awesome!  So we may see it debuted on @viacoin in September?  #cryptogamechanger

And I check what OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY is, I found it here: http://blog.viacoin.org/2014/08/28/august-28th-update.html

7.New OP Codes - OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY (Launching soon)

New opcode proposed by Peter Todd
Locks payment from being spent until a certain time
Arbitration periods
Escrow
Inheritance

It seems awesome, it must be a game changer! Exciting!

We have an IRC channel for development talk, so you might be able to gleen development info from there, but please keep any chat specific to development #viacoin-dev on freenode.

I'm pretty sure you can still "burn" via for XCH.

Yep, just checked. You can get 93 XCH per via you convert today.

probably people hanging out in #viacoin channel on IRC freenode getting news from there as always. Still the best source for viacoin news imo.
