What miner are you using to get 458 MH/s at only 985MHz?  It takes me like 1010MHz to hit that number with the phatk 3% mod.
I use phoenix with phatk 2.2, I think its mostly due to using a headless Linux setup. I have a Windows machine with a 5870 that only gets 445 @ 985 though its my daily workstation and has Aero and other crap enabled.

A joy for the eyes! This is how it should be done. Proper housing improves air flow and thus keeps the temperatures down. Thumbs up!

Bios is flashed on both the 6990's & 5870's, I did have the 6990's sitting at 150hmz mem clock but I was worried it would cause damage so I upped them just in case.

I've seen other posts where it's been verified to work. No guarantee it works on all motherboards but at least for some it does.

I see you got some Vornado fans on those 6990s, how big of a difference do they make versus a cheap Honeywell desktop fan?  I know those suckers are strong but not as strong as those Lasko/Stanley mini carpet blower fans....It's all about efficiency at this point though  Wink

6970 I wish was 6990's Cheesy
almost 10 degrees less, it's not really cooling down the card directly but moving away the heat form the areas! Make a big difference

I am going to move things around and I am in the process to change all the cards with 5830, hash/watt/$ are the best

I got inspired from some rig on the wall I am thinking to place the PSU there Cheesy

Temps run about ambiant+40c, so typically 65c in our office.

  • 3/8" ID UV sensitive red tubing, add a black light for bling
  • Danger Den pump, 237 GPH, really moves a lot of water
  • Black Ice GT Stealth 360 Radiator, triple 120mm fans pushing, dual 200mm fans pulling, these move a ton of air, quietly
