So, what the numbers we should be concerned with as far as performance/hash?

Is my external IP actually supposed to show up in the 'peers' section of my wallet? Because if so, I'm doinitrong.
Can anyone shed some light on this? There's definitely some people in peers. Wondering if I should actually be showing up in there. I suppose I'm currently mining as my miner is submitting shares, so I'm not sure whether I should actually care about this.

For all of you: when you are going to dump your coin, think about how hard it was to set up everything and how difficult it was to find a block! Don't sell low and give this coin and this community a chance to grow! However, is there any way to make an android wallet!? Is anyone able to create one!?

I think we have so many questions, some are answered, some repeated and some unanswered. we need to create some FAQ, maybe dev can put it on the first post, these are the questions i collected, please answer or improve it so later maybe dev can compile it into single FAQ and put it on front page - 1. What is Burst unique features ?
- 2. What is Proof of Capacity?
- 3. How do I increase my mining performance ?
- 4. Where is the source code ?
- 5. What is the difference between Nxt based wallet and regular bitcoin-qt wallet
- 6. Which one is my public key?
- 7. Which one is my private key, and how do I backup it?
- 8. How do I know when i am mining correctly ?
- 9. Can i use multiple hard drive for mining?
- 10. what is plots, scoops and nonce-range?
- 11. what kind of component that affect mining performance ?
- 12. which one is better, single 1 TB drive or dual 500 GB drive ?
- 13. can i just copy my generated plots, and use it somewhere else ?
- 14. is there a mining pool ?
- 15. why there is no logo ?
- 16. Can the password be changed without restarting the plot creation?

just for example, i am answering FAQ #15. why there is no logo ?its on first post, dev say No logo since I can't draw

Can the password be changed without restarting the plot creation?
FAQ #16your passpharase is your private key, your account number is derived from private key, so if you change your passpharase you are changing your receiving address (and account number), and plots are tied to account number, so plot must be re-created

FAQ #16your passpharase is your private key, your account number is derived from private key, so if you change your password you are changing your receiving address, and plot are tied to account number, so plot must be re-created WOW So everyone should pay attention to this. Make sure you create a HUGE and complex password. Because if all it takes is guessing a password to recreate your account than hacking will be relatively easy.

If you have plots created on multiple drives does it make a difference if you run the miner on each drive or is one miner good for the whole system?

It is included in the "src" folder. FAQ #4there are no github yet, all source codes are included in .zip file ( wallet and miner ) in src directory

48 hours ago it was easier from what I heard. I started 24 hours and didn't find a block yet.

Found my First Block after 3h on my 30GB test plot. Now I'm going to create more plots. How long can i mine on one plot? Indefinitely. Think of your plot size as your hash rate. That's like saying how long can I hash at 2MHS? Just keep hashing .

Let;s hope this will be my 8th block:
{"result":"deadline: 1175"} {"height":"606","generationSignature"
How you made this low deadline? ? I allways get more than 100k. deadline is just like share diff on regular GPU mining, on GPU you are trying all possible nonce on hashing as fast as you can (that's why performance is measured in hash/sec), if by using a selected nonce your resulting hash is lower than pool diff threshold (or network diff on solo mining) then your nonce is can be used to announce a block. on PoC mining, instead of trying all possible nonce as fast as you can, valid nonces are stored in plots file, so the bigger your plots, more nonce you can use, every nonce resulting in different hash, the resulting hash is then calculated by difficulty factor to produce deadline number, the deadline number showed on log is the best deadline number you can have limited by available nonce on your plots

Just found my first block!! WOOT Congrats! Give us some stats! Its kind of hard to show because I am running off of 4 different drives. Pretty sure its from the drive I started creating plots on last night. Its currnetly using ~110 GB of the 800GB I allocated for it. Here is my run_generate.bat text: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java -Xmx1000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate noaccount#foryou 0 3200000 1000 2 Also I started mining with a different server and I installed the 64 bit version of java and it makes it so that you don't have to change the bat files from: java -> C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java Doing it this way allowed me to run the bat with a higher Xmx value: java -Xmx3000m -cp pocminer.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer.POCMiner generate noaccount#foryou 0 8000000 1000 2 this one is using 2tb per drive Hope that helps. Takes forever to generate the plots so if your just starting please please please use a huge complex pass phrase.
