I am also working with small plots up to 250gb each and the 0 kb file size stays until the plot is done or you start the miner, once the miner is running you can watch the file growing.

I started generating a second 200gb plot on the same drive as the first.
since i started generating (and started miner again) I get this message in the miner

Code:
Error reading file: 18161680916049278482_819201_1638400_2000

Now, I know it's a common error but I'm wondering why it doesn't give this error for the 0-819200 plot.
How do I know that the miner is reading both plot files?

It's not giving you the error for the first plot since it's complete.

If you look at the new best lines to see what nonces were submitted to the wallet, you can see that the other plots are being used by seeing what ranges the nonces are in.

It's funny watching people hardcore mining this. Your hard disks will be dead in a year, as fast or faster than if they were on a server being hammered.

This coin is just a money vacuum and the price won't be the next Bitcoin.

Are solid state drives better in any way, as far as mining goes?

I think we've all noticed this guy before, but just damn:

dame it , what a lucky man,, how man tb does he use, dev, you should check the code whether it can be in some situation, there are some bugs!,,

~16TB

So if you have 16T and about 650000 BURST at this moment, and there is about 11330000 BURST in circulation now, i would estimate all BURST miners ~278 TB, which is 0.278 PB  Grin

BTC compared to PASC looks like big clumsy dinosaur - still not aware of meteor coming.

Nice One! Didn't even think about this warranty shit !
There are ppl who just can't recognize good things... sorry for them...

POC mining is easy and fun !
Yesterday I was at the bar chatting, and brought 3 different ppl who don't even hold btc to start mining (with my guidance which I owe to some ppl in this thread)... so simple...

depending on my BURST network estimation ~278TB you will have 0.18% contribution, with 360 blocks a day it will give you average 0.647 block a day, which means it will depend on your luck Tongue

Yeah, would be nice to see the diff somehow, getmininginfo only returns height and hash.
