There was already uncertainty with the publication of the email. I was attempting to clarify what actually happened. If I had done nothing, there would be no "uncertainty"—as the consensus was that the email was bogus. However that certainty would have been false. Sometime uncertainty is preferable to certitude. I can't convince you of anything, I can only say what I've done to resolve this issue—for myself—and let you make up your own mind. Though really ... all of this will be moot by this weekend, as either they will or will not release the public testnet by then.

I am the original author of the reditt, i have offered D-Lux TeamViewer access to my pc to view the email in person to clear everything up. i would not benefit from FUD since i have so heavily invested in it. The email address is readily found on the github page if you know where to look. - i also sent D-lux the header info of the email clearly showing the email route/trace so the email was not "spoofed"

Yes i am a newbie on the forum since signing upto these types of forums seem to be targets for hackers and this site had a data breach, user data is for sale on the dark web apparently. - ive been following this thread for many months now, and the blog on Factom.

I did not just meet in trollbox, i have been talking to 88 about fct for about two weeks when i see him on, just about how deep we both are into FCT and its potential.

i gave D-Lux Teamviwer access so clear things up since i trust him, i would not of given a random off reddit access but since yesterday i found out d-lux on reditt was him made sense. - i can see why this would be considered FUD and why people would be scepticle about it. but only time will tell, i thought i was doing everyone a favor with some news on M2.

I don't think giving teamviewer to someone you just met in trollbox is enough. Invite a stranger to your home and let him sit next to you while you show.

I believe that they do a lot of testing with potential customers and after that can follow an official announcement. It was the case for DataYes for example. They started with Factom in April 2016 - can be seen here - usage statistics, and the official announcement followed on august 10th. The chances are very good that future partnerships already are in the pipeline.

It was the same with Intrinio. Tests started in February 2016 and the partnership-announcement followed in august. And yes, I agree. I believe that Factom always is a buy because of it's general potential. The price in short-term is pretty much unpredictable, but I would be surprised if we wouldn't look back in one year and say "wow, it was so cheap one year ago!" ;-)

The difference was you told the community instead of one person privately.

I'm not angry with you as I understand these are common mistakes made by startups.  But please reflect on this and learn from it.  Small startups can be forgiven but as you get larger, how Factom interacts with the public and investors is going to have to grow substantially more sophisticated.

This isn't something small.  If I was a VC invested in Factom, we'd be having a long conference call.  This is one of the issues I see with going through Bnktothefuture instead of normal funding routes.  Yes, I'm sure you'll enjoy the greater autonomy, but there is tremendous value in having highly seasoned advisors with a substantial stake.

well I'm happy I'm out of all my FCT. bought earlier this year just before the completion of the bnktothefuture deal at 0.0025 avg.
was too greedy and didn't sell over 0.006, but sold 80% at 0.0052 and just yday the balance at 0.0047...(last trade 0.00405 !)

i didn't like the price action and there were ongoing rumours of whales/insiders selling heavily around 0.0052/0.0055, thats why i gave up...

and now i see those rumours....

The reasons i invested in FCT was that 5M funding enables to have a plan for the next 2 years, and be able to focus on clients. But so far, i have to say Factom has no real clients.

I have seen no announcement such like:

"Factom is happy to announce that Company X will be publishing hashes related to its (.....) and will submit Y amount of data per year for a value of Z USD (=ZZ EC)"

as long as there no such news, Factom will stay just speculation, and if they don't find a real client (with Z being a significant number) in the next 6 months, i think they will be done, as a new product / a new competitor will emerge... because on the tech side, i don't think its rocket science.

i own the series A so i hope it goes well, but i don't own any FCT anymore. The FCT profit was more than the amount invested in series A so now i can just hope they turn into a giant company....

but reading this forum makes me think i shouldn't count too much on it after all...

It does raise the question of who else had this information before the rest of us?  I wish I would have PM'd Paul so I could have dumped before everyone else too.  I thought it was just people running stops but now I'm not so sure.

Nothing has fundamentally changed with the company from a week ago except fear, this sell-off is way over done. I'm not sure what rumours you're referring to ? This whale has been dumping and pumping 100+ BTC way before the 52/55 run up. I agree that a public announcement should have been made. Brian said Paul announced this info in the last public interview ?  I need something more substantial to give in here. All these negative comments timed with a dump seems a little too contrived.  I'm greedy when others are fearful!  Watch for the rebound to 47 +

Interesting price action. Keeping an eye on this. Recovered very quickly from the dump, but some small 200+ BTC buy walls were very temporarily put up and removed after the dump.

Also just sold - the 500btc dumps always seemed a bit fishy. Feels more like I'm investing in Nautilus or something. Grossbit is right though. What I would have liked to have seen, is a costed announcement of partnerships that explains how many entry credits they anticipate each partner will use. Might make it a little bit easier for potential investors to estimate the future price of factom. At the moment, only the Factom team can have a reasonable guess at that.

I was wrong about the mail. Where in that 1 hour and 30 min podcast is the importance? Anybody with time can come up with a transcript and post here anyway if it is close to what was said in the mail then I have no issue with the ordeal anymore.
