1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I will pass KYC later is a bad idea on: August 22, 2023, 08:45:32 PM
I don't know where some gamblers are getting their confidence from, do you know that online casinos can keep rejecting your ID after you made some high amount of money? Some people cares about winning first before passing KYC, it's cool you believe that you won't always win but the luck comes when we least expected.

Imagine winning and you find it hard to pass KYC, trapping your money on the casino for like ever.

It's not always the casinos fault, I know some are dubious but the thing is KYC verification is something you should first deal with before making your first deposit.

Online casinos can be frustrating at times, some casino won't accept your submitted document even when you haven't make any deposit on the platform yet, so always confirm your identity first.

Submit your identity and wait for approval, do not be in haste to make deposit first, because the identity you submitted without a green approval from the team can still be rejected, take your time to get the passed approval first before proceeding with gambling.

I don't honestly know why someone would even bet on a site that requires kyc and they know they can't pass it.  As soon as you send your money onto the site it's trapped forever.  The worst part actually is if you win.  Be easy if you lose to just go away but imagine winning huge and then not being able to pull the money off?  That would be a nightmare.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 22, 2023, 08:43:35 PM
So it's a few more days before the 2023 FIBA World Cup starts. At least NBA and basketball fans, in general, can once again watch NBA stars play. There are a lot of NBA stars representing their countries, headed by Dallas Mavericks' Luka Doncic. I haven't seen the odds yet but it's pretty interesting to see if the USA will retrieve the gold after failing to reach the final top 4 in the last FIBA World Cup. France, Australia, and the USA are probably the best picks to win the tournament but I love upsets to make the event more thrilling and exciting.

I am actually excited to watch the US this year.  After watching the Germany game and the desire these kids are playing with its gon a be worth it.  Team has a good look.  Playing hard on defense and dam ANT.  dude is just different.  He is gonna be a beast in the tpurny you can just see it.  And I hate to admit I might be wrong on austin reaves.  Kid has a fearless game and is super smart on the court.  I like the makeup of this team.
1003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another red day on: August 21, 2023, 09:09:09 PM
Seems like a lot of major coins are down again, XRP, ADA, SOL, TRX, MATIC, LTC DOT, AVAX all of them are quite down today. Anyone knows if there was a specific reason for this drop, or was this just another one of those days. I am not worried by the way and neither should you, crypto prices sometimes falls like this and they just recover after a while and its natural part of the market. There is no UP without Down first and that's what we are seeing right now, we need to see the down like these days in order to appreciate the up when we get it. So do not be worried, its fine, I have no idea what caused it at all, but it will be gone in a week or two for sure.

It's definitely a down market right now.  I consider a great buying opportunity.  Don't think this market is going to progressively get better for awhile.  At least not in 2023.  This is a time when smart people are accumulating.  Remember be greedy when people are fearful and be fearful when others are greedy.  Right now is a buyers market.
1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ASIC or Anti-ASIC? on: August 21, 2023, 09:05:32 PM
For POW coins, some people think that only anti-ASIC can be mined fairly, in order to prevent the concentration of hash rate and ensure decentralization. But other people hold the opposite view. They believe that it is ASIC that strengthens the security of coins. For CPU mining algorithms, large data centers or cloud computing vendors can easily launch 51% attacks.

Do you think anti-ASIC is necessary?

Think there is no real answer.  Some ASICS tend to be expensive so being truly available to any and everyone isn't really achievable which is why some people are against ASICS.  I don't think asic/gpu/could mining one vs the other is more 51% attack preventable.  It relies on how much hashpower is being thrown at a particular chain.
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 21, 2023, 08:59:26 PM
I don't think so that it's like that for those NBA players that will play for FIBA. Most of them are careful and that's why you've said that Team USA doesn't have their best.

And that is because they still think of the future at least for those that have played for FIBA before and then begged off to play for their national team.

Maybe that's just me that doesn't really see that much difference on FIBA and NBA in terms of physicality because of them are.

Yup, for sure those players who begged are concern with their future not against with those players but it's just being practical or there are some other factors that leads them to decide not to play and represent their country, for those who will compete they are bringing the pride of their nationalities and playing hard for the country might give them that inspiration to do well.

All will be witness during the competition and for sure the winner will be the fans who love supporting their nationals and those super stars that will participate during the tournament.
They've got a choice whether to proceed and play for their country or they can just choose what they think is best for them. When playing for their country, it's not just about the offer that they're given.

It's about the honor that they're going to give and bring for their country that they're going to play for.

What keeps on my feed are the games being played by the Dominican Republic.

For some of the older US players, especially ones who played on teams that went deep in the playoffs it's just not practical.  They see NBA championships as a goal more than FIBA championships.  Players legacies in the US lean on how many NBA titles do they have.  I can't tell ypu how many FIBA or Olympic titles each player has and not sure how many other people would know without looking it up.  It's just a value proposition they don't want to break down in March and April because of international play.

Pelicans star Zion Williamson shows off new look in viral photos

Take a look at these viral pictures. What can you say about his appearance? He has been criticized for being overweight, with some suggesting that his weight is the reason he is prone to injuries. However, when you look at this 'scary man' now...

It's not just his weight but the way he plays with that type of body. He's still too bulky for someone who loves to fly in my opinion and those knees are not going to hold out for an entire season. I'm betting he could play 30 to 40 games in that condition before suffering another season ending injury. What I would like to see them flex is how he improved his game in the post.
Every year since he has been drafted, we have seen these kinds of photos around this time of year. So, naturally, I don't find them believable. When he gets serious about his discipline and eating habits that anyone can see, that means very visible results, then I can believe him. Otherwise, in summer he probably gets better in shape but again some time later he will eat too many burgers and chicken wings and we will see him getting injured again. I'm sorry but that is reality and what we have seen all these years. If he gets serious though, he can energize the whole league. He has the potential to be like Iverson or T-mac in terms of making the league better and more exciting.

Honestly I just think his frame is too big for the pounding in the NBA a slashing wing would take.  Most big bodied guys are centers and just post up, he tries to play like a guard but with a power forward/center build.  I hope I'm wrong but I can't see him lasting for more than 40-50 games a year before his body breaks down every year.  He is going to be one of those guys that might sit out every other game for maintenance.

Soon after final it was announced that father of Golden goal author Olga Carmona passed away. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66566564
As she posted on Twitter, it's the best and worst day in her life. It's difficult to imagine her emotions after what she experienced in one day.

Now I ask the question: What was the biggest disappointment in your opinion?

The United States?
New Zealand, Brazil, Canada?

For me it was Brazil, who didn't even make it past the group stage, it was quite frustrating not to even reach the round of 16

Good question. New Zealand - no way, there was no big expectations about them and that they won against Norway what is huge achievement.
Probably Brazil who got eliminated after group stage already and their group wasn't really strong. USA is disappointment, but after all they got eliminated by another strong team.

By far the US, they barely escaped group play and on the heels of 2 straight world cup titles not winning a single game in the elimination round was certainly disappointing.  I think that was also the earliest they've ever been booted from the tournament as well.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 20, 2023, 06:06:00 PM
Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting this morning that the NBA is launching an investigation into the circumstances surrounding James Harden’s claim that Daryl Morey is a liar and got him to sign a contract under false pretenses. The drama takes another step forward. I’m not sure what the NBA can do though. Maybe nullify the contract?

I don't think that the NBA can simply nullify the contract, it might take a long investigation though, as they needed to get all the facts straight before making this hard decision, but nullifying it might have a ripple effect on some contracts on the NBA specially those who are signing or teams that are giving big money to NBA players right now.

For now, it seems that the case is his words against the owners word. So let's see how the NBA is going to settle this issues. Regardless if James is not happy Sixers should allow him to get out of contract and that could be the best settlement for him.

I mean that would be unprecedented if the NBA got him out of that contract.  I think it sets a bad precedent in that anytime a player gets unhappy they can try to wiggle out of theor contract.  I would think the contract itself is the only underlying thing you can lean on.  Talk is talk, people always go back on their word.  If you want it documented insist that language gets drawn up in the contract.

I almost laid money on England in this one, thanking myself now for laying off.  Didn't get to watch the game but it seemed like a tight match all the way through.  Great touny for Spain and heartbreak for England.
1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to tell if a new coin is worth investing in! on: August 19, 2023, 07:13:56 PM
If a coin introduces a completely new technology that enables a different function and is sustainable in the long term, does it have the potential to be a worthwhile investment?

There is never an easy answer to this one otherwise everyone would nail it.  You really need to either do an insane amount of research or just gamble and know there is a good chance you might lose all of that investment.  Start following smart people amd check our their recommendations and go from there.
1011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 19, 2023, 07:11:50 PM
NBA Central is reporting that Apple Computers may be in talks to purchase ESPN. This would give them rights to pretty much every sport and make AppleTV a sporting powerhouse. Given the ties between Apple and Disney, I’m surprised we don’t see Apple buy the entire company, but ESPN is a good start. Sports are about to takeover Apple products.

That would be the worst thing ever.  Watching baseball on appletv is the worst have you tried watching it yet?  I will watch significantly less sports if those does go through.  Not to mention having to be sucked up into their endless round of apple products which I'm not too fond of.  Ypu have me freaked out now lol.

Congratulations Sweden Women tems...
Australia women's team performed poorly today and did not work hard enough to win. The Swedish women's team had a lot of luck, which led to a foul inside the Australia D-box early on and resulted in a penalty decision. And there was a one goal lead which gave Sweden a one goal lead and then they won by another goal. However, the Australian team is very forward in attack rather they lost to their luck as many attacks were missed from in front of the D box by the players of the Australian women's team. However, the defenders of the Swedish team were very strong and the Australian team could not succeed in the attack.
Yup a big congratulations for Sweden Women's  team. Australia played very poorly and many were eyeing them and believed that they would beat Sweden to clinch the third prize.  But no one expected Australia to play such a bad game. Sweden arrived on time and showed everyone their excellent performance. Now it's time to see what happens in the final match.  This year's Women's World Cup champion is Spain or England.  Are you ready to watch the final game tomorrow?

I also thought that they wouldn't let the third place go like that, but after all it should be noted and remembered that Australia has been an amazing team regardless besides also being the host. I think there are many people very satisfied with the performance and the event and there is still one more game to go, which is definitely a real highlight.

Has my money on Australia on this one.  I haven't lost so bad on a touny like this in a long time lol.  I can definitely say I am no longer betting women's soccer lol.  It is wildly too unpredictable.  At least on the men's side it's somewhat easier to lay in bets confidently, in this one I felt like I was throwing money into the wind to see where it fell lol.  Oh well was fun to watch.
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some smart guy converted $1000 to 1 million in one day with $BALD coin on: August 18, 2023, 08:54:39 PM
Smart has nothing to do with that, it's pure luck.  99.9999% of people will easily lose that $1000 before they would make $1mil off of it.  These projects are all just pump toys to make money for very few while most lose because they buy the tops of these pumps.  It's the sad part of crypto I wish didn't exist.
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New trend PEPE ? Seems many projects Launching with PEPE Names. on: August 18, 2023, 08:46:54 PM
The fact that people put money into pepe, let along these spinoff that use the pepe name is astounding to me.  Does anyone really think any of these things will exist in 5 years from now?  There might be one pump but then it's off to the crypto graveyard from there.  Stay away from these things and they will disappear
1015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 18, 2023, 08:44:41 PM
I don't what to speculate but it should be around the money I guess. Maybe he was promised to have a good money this season. But the owner turn his back on Harden.
Words are very powerful, and they should be honored. If James Harden is promised good money without conditions, then he is due for that. However, sometimes these businessmen are very clever; they tend to use their power to influence a player's decision but ultimately may not stand by their words. Nowadays, the system has already changed, as players can make demands. In the case of James Harden, being a superstar, I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing. He understands that he won't lose his job, even if the 76ers decide to trade him, which they have refused to do until now.

Might be but as we all know, owners will have to make promises, and players should take that as a grain of salt. I remember the Jordan Poole trade, Poole said that he was assured that he will not be traded by Dunleavy Jr. But in the next 12 hours, he was traded to the Wizards.

So that is a lesson that there is no absolute word in the NBA, it's business, the owner or the president of basketball for operations of a team will have to make the hard decision. And with that, Harden might be hurt by the promises and so he wanted to leave.

Players end up thinking they run too much in the NBA.  They've been given too much control of the process.  Theor job is to play basketball, it's the business side of the team to position the players how they see fit.  When players sign a contract for millions of dollars the owner can do whatever he wants with that player from there.  Ypu always here players surprised and say that it's a business in the end.  For these teams yeah it is lol.

The schedule for CONMEBOL qualifiers are out. This time South American teams will get a total of 6 slots, compared to 4.5 slots that they had in 2022 (4.5 was reduced to 4, after Peru lost to Australia during playoffs). The CONMEBOL qualification tournament will start next month (September 2023), and will run till September 2025. As usual, 10 teams in total will be taking part. On 7th September, there will be a total of 3 matches and defending champions Argentina will start their campaign against a strong Ecuador. For Brazil, the first match is going to be against Bolivia on 8th September.

really looking forward for this match Brazil vs Bolivia
I'm betting 2x1 for Brazil
curious to see the results

good to know that south american teams will have 6 slots now, I think 4.5 slots was just too few
what do you think about that?

I think 6 is a good spot for south America.  At 4 too many good teams get left out.  I've said it before but I'm all for the best teams in the world being part of this tourny.  I know every region needs to be represented but there ends up being teams that don't need to be there in place of a team that could fight to get into the elimination rounds.
1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is currently the best crypto to invest in? on: August 17, 2023, 09:02:51 PM
I have been a crypto enthusiast for some time now, thou I have lacked consistentency, but over the years I have seen people who have carved out good lives for themselves with crypto, either by direct or indirect investment.,as a result I wish to invest in crypto with cash, but with minimal knowledge,so I seek the help of this house in advise on which crypto to invest in currently as someone who is just getting to learn about crypto currency.

Easy answer you always pick bitcoin first.  Then dive into other stuff.  If you watch the markets over the last cycles they are all driven by bitcoin increasing in price.  You always want to buy the thing that drives markets not the followers.  There is value in some altcoins but it's too risky if you don't have bitcoin yet.

I’m not sure I understand the point of the in-season tournament but I did just see a suggestion that the winner of the tournament get an automatic playoff berth. That’s interesting…

I’m more 76ers updates from Philadelphia, James Harden is now saying he’s open to play for a different team than just the Clippers. He wants out…

I think it's a cool idea, but for different reasons.
If I read correctly, every player of the winning team of the tournament gets 500000$ in prize money.
So imagine you are a rookie or whatever, on a minimum contract. The 500k make a HUGE difference in your annual salary.

The big names of course couldn't care less but for the bench players this is a nice pay day. Of course the journey is long, but it's a nice opportunity.

I haven't looked into it yet but how would they get an automatic berrth?  Wouldn't that leave an uneven amount of teams from the eastern and western conferences.  And I guess about the money you are right.  You might see more of the young guys balling out in that game for that money.  Imagine the guys who are on a 10 day contract or something lol.  They'd be balling in those games
1019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Calling all high rollers ($300,000 bet) on: August 17, 2023, 08:57:20 PM
I am looking for someone with high sports betting limits who I can send $250,000 to place this bet for me:

There is much to this. So why can't you say the reason you can't bet that by your self. Must you do a telegram?
Despite your "willingness " for an escrow, you have to do all the transaction processes here for all to see if you don't want to be doubted. I just won't do a risk as such no matter the reward in percentage of the winning. No need for telegram chat, that is the point.

Lol why in the world would anyone send $250k or really any significant money to some random person on the internet.  This has to be a lie looking for engagement.  Does anyone have proof this was done?  I mean I don't know how ypu would prove all this but either way if true than OP you were bound to lose this anyway.
1020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: August 17, 2023, 08:54:26 PM

The match is unpredictable because both countries are strong and I think that Australia might win the game and not Sweden because they will use the their last strength to play the game, but I might be wrong on this. I will love to see who will win on that day because I haven't really had time to watch the matches since the world cup started but the semifinals motivated me.
Both the teams on the competence for the third position is really strong. Based on the performance throughout the FIFA World Cup matches both Australia and Sweden are doing their best. Sweden defeated Japan in the quarter finals which is truly a strong team. Australia won the World Cup favourite France on the penalty shootout which is really surprising and big achievement. Earlier Australia won against Denmark, whereas Sweden won against USA, Argentina. So, from the beginning both the teams have faced the best ones to fight for the third position. Lets see who gonna win the match.

Got money on Australia, no way can you bet against the home team here.  Hoping it's a low scoring game which it should be based on earlier games from both of them.  Would like to see Australia ride out on a high note.  They were actually one of my favorite teams to watch this entire tourny
