1021  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Little knowledge and understanding navigating bitcoin transaction fees - Help me on: July 28, 2023, 02:50:21 PM
Op, if you want to make a transaction from your wallet to the exchange or withdraw from the exchange to your wallet make sure you choose the same type of Bitcoin wallet. some exchanges seem to have the option to change the Bitcoin address according to the type you are using. maybe it can reduce the fees you have to pay. but maybe it helps your transaction to be faster.
If you are withdrawing from an exchange to your Bitcoin wallet, it is the exchange that charges you fees for withdrawal, you do not pay the fees directly to the miners, it is the exchange that combines all the withdrawals they want to process at that time into one transaction, thus you can't adjust the fees in that situation. But if you are sending from your own personal wallet into an exchange address, you can adjust/customize the fees. Mind you that the only way to make your transaction faster if you are making the transaction from your own personal wallet is to pay a higher fee.

If Manchester City sell Bernardo Silva, it will be very risky for them. An experienced coach like Guardiola does not take such risks. Because Manchester City's midfielder, one of the most important players, İlkay Gündoğan has left the team. Now if Manchester City sells Silva too then Manchester City will have to rely solely on Kevin de Bruyne to stabilize the midfield next season. And if de Bruyne doesn't play well, Manchester City's overall performance will suffer. This is why Guardiola needs Bernardo Silva so much next season.
Bernado Silva is one of the best players in Manchester City, but mind you that Pep Guardiola is famous for not standing in the way of players that make known their intentions to leave the club, so if Bernado Silva has decided to leave City, Pep wouldn't stop him. City have already signed a midfielder this summer in Kovacic, though he isn't a direct replacement for Bernado Silva, but he is going to bolster City's midfield. I don't think Bernado Silva is going to leave City, but if he does they'll find a replacement for him and City would still be very strong to compete for all trophies.

Let's see how far Chelsea will go for the player. I feel bit over 80m maybe like 85-87m should be enough for a Brighton "Yes".
Their last bid of around £80m was rejected by Brighton, and that's what i don't really understand, i mean, Caicedo has only played one good season for Brighton, and now the club feels he is worth more than £80m, that's absolutely ridiculous. Brighton did a similar thing when City wanted to sign Cucurella from them last summer, City pulled out of the deal and Chelsea went on to sign the defender for over £60m, and he was a complete flop last season.

I don't know if Chelsea are ready to leave the Caicedo deal and go for other options that won't cost them this much, but i think that is what they have to do, Caicedo is being overvalued and it is ridiculous.
1024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 27, 2023, 09:52:49 PM
@David_Ornstein
🚨 Chelsea’s 4th Moises Caicedo proposal to be turned down by Brighton was £75m + £5m add-ons. #BHAFC do not want to sell despite midfielder’s wish to go. #CFC also considering alternative options, including #LFC target Romeo Lavia @TheAthleticFC #SaintsFC
The transfer market is now absolutely ridiculous, every club now overvalues their players just to make more money from the team that wants to sign them. Caicedo is a brilliant player, but i don't know why Brighton are still holding on to him when the player has made his intentions to leave known to them, they ought to take the money Chelsea is offering and use it to buy a couple of players that won't cost them too much money. I think Brighton are being greedy here (considering how much they signed Caicedo), and i think it is wise if Chelsea pull out of the deal and look for other alternatives.

If Bayern want maybe it's better for him to go to Bayern Munich. As long as you can still compete in Europe, it's better to keep playing there. Although maybe the salary received is not as big as in Saudi Arabia. Maybe at 35 years old he can go there. At least he will still be valuable and have the best stamina for the Saudi Arabian League. But Pep can keep it up, this is in preparation for a hectic schedule.
Of course Bayern Munich wants Kyle Walker, he is one of their main targets and according to legitimate sources, Bayern Munich have made a proposal to Kyle Walker (though i don't think there's been any negotiations with City of yet). Manchester City are also interested in keeping Kyle Walker, though i don't think he is going to start too many games for them, but he will be important for them in certain matches (as he was last season). I don't think there is any chance of Kyle Walker going to Saudi Arabia, from what i think, it is either he signs a new contract with City or moves to the German champions.
1026  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How government and us fit tel benefits for bitcoin on: July 27, 2023, 04:06:54 PM
However, it seems the harassments by our Nigerian police on young boys found to have a crypto wallet on there phone (i.e Trust wallet & Binance) been tagged as Yahoo boys don reduce small now abi? Because eh don tah I here news about such.
Police harassment never stop oh! The only thing be say people don tire to dey talk their stories because e no dey change anything. If you be youth for Naija wey get doings with crypto, you gats dey careful because police go fit accuse you wrongly at anytime, no dey carrry the device wey dey hold your main portfolio dey comot, so if police check your phone unlawfully as dem dey usually do, dem no go see anything.
If our government can make BTC legal tender like d way El Salvador government made BTC legal tender to their citizens and it has increased their economy, which many countries is looking towards their steps to do d same thing. There are many BTC users in d Nigeria who are billionaires, and dey are looking for were to use d money so that there will be development in our country.
I no understand wetin you mean, Naija government no go make Bitcoin legal tender and dem no even gats do am, make dem just lift that yeye CBN ban on crypto, come try regulate the industry, na that one dey feasible. As Naija dey so, no be Bitcoin go fit make Naija develop, so make the government just make things easy for individuals like us wey dey deal on Bitcoin, and also for Bitcoin businesses to prosper for the country.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 26, 2023, 08:33:28 AM
Manchester United's striker shortage is not a big problem right now, I think. Rashford can be considered for that area. If they can get Harry Kane it would be a nice extra deal but I can't imagine Tottenham selling him to a competitor. So I think this possibility is slim. But Hojlund will strengthen them, that's for sure.
Rashford isn't so good in the central attacking position, he is better on the left side of attack, and Erik ten hag would know that if he wants to harness the full potential of his best attacker, he'd have to play him in his favorite position.

Having said that, Harry Kane doesn't seem to be serious about leaving Spurs, if he is; he would have handed in a transfer request, other than that, it would be impossible for Manchester United to try and reach an agreement with Spurs/Daniel Levy for Harry Kane. I don't know much about Hojlund, but i think Atalanta are asking for too much for the Danish international, if they don't reduce their valuation of the striker, Manchester United might be forced to walk away from the deal.
1028  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How government and us fit tel benefits for bitcoin on: July 26, 2023, 07:27:09 AM
I earnestly desire that the government refrains from imposing regulations or interfering with cryptocurrencies.
E no dey possible say the Nigerian government no go interfere for crypto matter, and no be only the Nigerian government wey dey do am, crypto dey regulated for many countries, the government talk say the risk involved dey too much, thus regulation go help to protect those wey dey involved, clear regulation go also help the government to make money from the industry through tax.

Wetin me i wan see na the regulatory framework wey Naija government go carry come, if e no go dey too strict, then e go make sense, wetin dey vex me be say our government wan dey collect tax when CBN ban crypto and when dem never begin regulate am.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 26, 2023, 06:12:51 AM
...therefore Pep Guardiola still needs Kyle Walker's services at least until next season.
Of course, but the problem is that Pep wouldn't need his services throughout the season, he will be picked specifically for certain games, just like what happened last season. I'm pretty sure Walker doesn't want that, he wants to move to a team in which he can start nearly every game, and he knows City can't give him that and this is why they are offering him just a one year contract. If kyle Walker leaves City, it is because he knows that his game-time at the Etihad would be quite limited next season.

I think that if it will take a very long time for saudi pro league to be one of the top league in the world. Saudi has a very big ambition in making its sport business become even bigger. Massive investment already made by saudi.
I hope that will pay off in the future. Saudi has been trying so hard to sign more and more top players in the world to increase the popularity of its league.
They might not even attain that, i know that money is quite important in the development of any league, but money isn't the only prerequisite, and for now the major reason why most players move to Saudi is because of the huge amount of money involved. Definitely the Saudi Pro League is now more popular than it was before, but that's exactly how popular the Chinese Super League was a couple of years ago, when they pumped money into the league, but it didn't quite end well for them.

I'm not saying that the Saudi Pro League is going to end up like the Chinese Super League, but it is a possibility, we'd have to wait many years to see how big the Saudi League is going to get and if their huge investment is going to pay off.
1031  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Smart Contract helps when shopping!? on: July 25, 2023, 02:30:44 PM
Do I think this idea made sense?
I don't think this can be implemented for this purpose. The buyer doesn't even need to use smart contracts to achieve privacy, the buyer should avoid reusing addresses when making payments for shopping.

When the buyer makes the payment, all the seller is privy to is their address, as well as linking the inputs and outputs on the address, thus if the buyer avoids reusing addresses as well as using CoinJoin or mixers for obscurity, then they will achieve a high level of privacy. If the buyer also wants to make the payment from an address with too many inputs, they can use Coin control to select the address and UTXO they want to spend, these are better ways to achieve privacy.
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $20,000 to invest in any Altcoins of your choice? on: July 25, 2023, 09:10:59 AM
There are many good Altcoin available in crypto currency market. You can visit coinmarketcap to found it. There you can easily found all data about thats altcoin. Many Popular Altcoin you can found in coinmarketcap. I am also holding some altcoin such as PBR, TRX, DOGE, BNB etc. I think that's coin will up in bull market. Because it was high price in past bull session. I think if you also bought it will be very profitable for you.
There aren't many good altcoins in the cryptocurrency industry, mind you that just because an Altcoin pumps in price doesn't mean that it is a good Altcoin, many of them are pump and dump coins, and they'll pump when there's hype and dump after a very short time. A good cryptocurrency is one that has an actual utility like Bitcoin does.

Having said that, quite a lot of people add Altcoins to their portfolio because it can pump very fast, though it is very risky, thus i'd not tell someone to invest too much money into Altcoins, it is better to basically pick a few of them and put only an amount that one can afford to lose.
1033  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How about a convention on: July 25, 2023, 08:51:18 AM
Naija get 36 states including the FCT, i dey sure say we get users scattered all over these states, a convention no go fit work because the location no go favor many people and dem no go fit dey present. A physical convention no go dey possible because of privacy concerns, no be everybody go like to reveal their identity, and i no even think say a convention dey necessary, anything wey person wan learn, e go fit learn am online, the person go fit also ask for local board and people go reply am.

Our local board dey progress and i never notice the issues wey you dey talk about, in terms of quality posts we are doing very well, and we do not have to see each other before we can learn from one another, you fit pm person sev if you go like make him teach you something, that's if you feel say the person get the knowledge wey you dey find.
1034  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Setting up an offline wallet on: July 24, 2023, 11:24:36 PM
Although ledger and trezor have many privacy problems they are indeed safe. And ledger closed source.
The problem with Ledger is not only a privacy problem, it is a very serious security problem. They (Ledger) propose to split and send their customers recovery phrase to "trusted parties" through the Ledger recover service, that makes them unsafe because the safest way a seed phrase should be backed up is on paper and by only the owner of the funds. The thing is, Ledger recover is a big red flag about the entire Ledger project, and it is enough reason to stay away from the hardware wallet.
1035  Other / Meta / Re: Icopress ' Merit Source Application on: July 24, 2023, 04:36:01 PM
You had everyone thinking you are a merit source before now, including myself, anyway, it is better late than never. I fully support your application and i am pretty sure that most of the users in the forum will, you are a good user and your contributions are pretty obvious for all to see. Well, in the end it is up to Theymos to decide, but i think whenever he decides to add new merit sources, you'd be one of the stronger contenders to get the position, so goodluck.
1036  Other / Meta / Re: Charles-Tim merit source application on: July 24, 2023, 04:19:57 PM
I am applying for merit source for Nigeria (Naija) local board.
Our local board definitely needs more merits, and you'd be a good merit source for us over there; thus i support your application. I see your initial merit source application hasn't been accepted by Theymos just yet, but i think you have a stronger case here, since our local board is somewhat new and undermerited, giving us a merit source might be something Theymos will consider doing. Goodluck with your application and i'm certain you'll make a good merit source when accepted.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 23, 2023, 09:10:43 PM
Last season was competitive and interesting, I was surprise to see Manchester City win the league.
I would've been surprised if City didn't win the league. I know that Arsenal were on the summit of the table for nearly the entire season, but during that period i still believed that City would win the EPL title. Manchester City know exactly what needs to be done in order to win the league, thus once it gets to the final part of the season, they get into gear and become unstoppable. Arsenal put on a great show last season, but it just wasn't enough.

City are yet again favorites for the title, but with the good business that Arsenal have done this summer, they will be one of the contenders for the title, this new season will even be more competitive than last season, and the big clubs would want to make sure that City do not win it again.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 23, 2023, 08:33:35 PM
The only reason he's leaving PSG as a player and Board member is to compete in a better league; he wants the spotlight, which he wasn't receiving at PSG and will only grow worse now that Messi has departed; he was the only reason people watched that league. That's a huge deal, but I don't think money is the reason he's leaving PSG. He would have signed the multimillion-dollar proposed contract if it were for money.
Mbappe has always been in the spotlight even at PSG, the only thing is that he has been unable to win either the CL or the Ballon D'or and he feels that he has a higher chance of winning it in Real Madrid, he has also been a long time admirer of the Spanish giants and he never hid his desire to play for them one day.

Having said that, Mbappe is definitely not going to leave Europe, he will remain one of the highest paid footballers if he either stays in PSG or moves to another top European club, thus there is no need for him to leave Europe right now. PSG have put him in a very tight position and i predict that he is going to sign a new contract and then he will be sold to Real Madrid next summer.
1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 23, 2023, 12:03:52 AM
It is just too early for Mbappe to go there. I think it would be a big hit to his career just because he will make more money. I assume he doesn't want that now so he will turn that down.
Mbappe would still make quite a lot of money if he stays in PSG or moves to Real Madrid, thus why would he move to the Saudi Pro League which is a less competitive league and effectively end his chances of winning the CL or the Ballon D'or. There is no chance in hell that Mbappe is going to switch to the Saudi Pro League, he is either going to be forced into signing a new contract with PSG or he is going to be sold to Real Madrid, these are the only two feasible options imo.
1040  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How are individual transactions validated? on: July 22, 2023, 11:51:02 PM
Anyway, I am correct about miners can choose to add unconfirmed transactions from the mempool that may may/will added to a block once it is validated right?
Miners add transactions that have been validated by nodes into their candidate block, all of the transactions that miners add into their candidate blocks are unconfirmed, they become confirmed if the miner adds that candidate block to the blockchain.
Right, I forgot that the node allows developers to write JavaScript and memory pool or mempool are where the data is being stored. If I am correct then the mempool is the one who are running node right?, Since they downloaded the data.
I don't know if i understood you correctly, but every node has their own mempool, and this is where they store transactions that miners will add into their candidate block to try and mine it.
