Bytes to bytes: 1 byte on any Byteball address gives you 0.1 new bytes
Bytes to blackbytes: 1 byte on linked Byteball address gives you 0.21111 blackbytes

There are already specific plugins for Chrome (No Coin) and Firefox (CoinBlock 1.0) to block coin-hive. The adblockers will soon also block the js coin miners by default. Don't really see coin-hive having much traction long term consumers will not stand for it.
That's irrelevant, you give incentive to people to want to javascript mine, for premium access time, game items, whatever. It's for websites with large userbase. You don't stealth mine in background like a fucking asshole raping their cpus and wasting their power while they have no idea what is going on. And it is working pr0gramm.com users mined 5k usd worth of monero in just a week. |

I have 3 minipcs browser mining this under linux with firefox and they act differently for some reason. Sometimes they refresh the page despite "do not refresh" being checked, sometimes they just stop hashing, can't leave them unsupervised longer than an hour.
How hard can it be to setup a stratum to websocket proxy for freebitco.in? We send actual miner optimized hashing power to your stratum server then you proxy that to coin-hive's websocket.

Not sure if this was addresses previously, but what stops people from coding optimized miners in something a lot more efficient to generate hashes than a web browser and therefore taking over the total netshah rate, signing its own blocks, double spending you name it?
We encourage users to code their own miners. However we are looking into Memmory Bound PoW algorithms so Browsers always stand a chance while having less power consumption Sorry but that makes no sense. |
