1082  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining on cryptocurrency. on: February 09, 2023, 05:49:20 PM
Please I as answers to these questions.
Who has been mining any cryptocurrency and have succeded in withdrawing his money, cause I have minied so many cryptocurrency for past years and presently now, but has not have access in withdrawal.

You should first tell what hardware have you used for mining.
Since your question is this generic, I can tell that I did withdraw when I was mining.
But I've never used cloud mining, because I understood very fast that those are scams.
And I have a feeling that you didn't mine with any hardware, instead you've gone for the nice (meaningless!) numbers the cloud mining scam websites are displaying.

Reamintire: mai aveti doar azi si maine timp pentru prima predictie de pret la concursul Sinbad pentru aceasta luna.
1084  Other / Meta / Re: Selling bitcointalk account is allowed? If not, the post should not be deleted? on: February 09, 2023, 05:40:33 PM
I'm surprised that you, as Legendary, don't know.
As I remembered I saw somewhere about it. To make sure I did a quick google search but did not get any sources during my search. And tbh the account that I have shared in the OP really heart me when I see 95% of the topics are about selling accounts and the topics are still in the forum Smiley

For why I have created the topic so that Mods think again if something needs to be changed.

No worries  Wink
As a suggestion, in the past years TryNinja's website has returned much better search results on bitcointalk than google. At least for me.
For this very case: https://ninjastic.space/search?content=%22selling+accounts%22+%2Ballowed+%2Bbitcointalk

Plus, it's also part of forum's (unofficial) rules (point 18).

1086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and it effect to our local community on: February 09, 2023, 05:00:49 PM
Do you think it will be of advantage or disadvantage to my community?

It really depends...
Some communities have started using solar power to mine bitcoin and now they get money off that.
Some communities use Bitcoin as a coin and they can make payments without the need for banks.
Some came to bitcointalk to read/learn/understand what's bitcoin about and maybe invested some money into it (or into its mining).
However, people can come to bitcointalk and get caught into hyip scams, compulsive gambling or even altcoins (the list of examples is actually much longer) and lose money.
So, as I said, it depends...
1087  Other / Meta / Re: Selling bitcointalk account is allowed? If not, the post should not be deleted? on: February 09, 2023, 04:52:59 PM
Selling bitcointalk account is allowed here?

I'm surprised that you, as Legendary, don't know. However, selling accounts is allowed for at least two reasons:
* if it would be disallowed, the sellers would simply sell somewhere else
* this is a free (speech) forum

However, buying and selling accounts is seen as shady, hence those caught doing this are getting tagged.
1088  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Electronic devices that can detect wrong wallet on: February 09, 2023, 11:26:20 AM
I want to ask if it's possible to create a device that detect wrong wallet device, i dont know such device or bot app is already existing, somebody sent Bitcoin to Bitcoin address given and since a week the person insist of not seeing the coin and not even showing a sign of coin is on process and he complained to me. Having such device that  notice Bitcoin addresses will help bitcoiners.

Bitcoin addresses do contain a checksum and the proper wallets do check it before allowing you send coins to an address.
This being said I'm not sure what would achieve such a device as you propose.

You can have a clipboard virus and send to a different (but valid!) address than his.
He can have a clipboard virus and tell you a different (but valid!) address than where he expects the coins.
You may have been sending from a scam platform that doesn't process withdrawals/payments.
He may have the wallet on a scam platform or one with bugs that ignored the incoming money and didn't fund the account.
(there may be many more cases that didn't come to my mind right now)

Would the device you propose fix this? No.
Would the device you propose do more than what a proper wallet already does? No.

And then..?
1089  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: All you need to know about Mixer before using it on: February 09, 2023, 11:08:19 AM
I sometimes wonder why we haven't see yet a new mixer coming with the same business model as CM

Copying a working business is not easy, especially where trust is involved.
The newcomers have to do at least something cheaper (which is not possible) or better (which I dare to say that in this case it's probably also not possible).
1090  Economy / Economics / Re: Untouchable Savings: Do you have it? on: February 09, 2023, 10:46:04 AM
There is a huge difference between untouched savings and untouchable savings.

Rational people will have, if they can afford it (!), some savings they will not touch unless something big and bad happens. Does this means they'll die before spending all their money? Yes, and it's fine. Having a certain peace of mind has its costs.

Untouchable savings is imho stupidly risky. They have their purpose in case of people with certain addictions, but it's something that has to be treated with extreme attention. It's more advisable to allow other (trusted!) person/entity take care of those savings than lock them and make them untouchable, since if a health issue comes up, one may need that money, but may not be able to touch it.
1091  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Should BTC amounts greater than 10.000E be declared when leaving the country? on: February 09, 2023, 10:29:31 AM
or deposit your money or btc to a centralized exchange and withdraw it when you arrive in destination country but of course you need a liquid exchange like binance

I think that even if I don't take into account the CEX-KYC problems (since Gazeta already did), depositing such big amounts of money into others' pockets "just in case" is by far the worse idea.
The point here was about avoiding problems, not getting into bigger ones.
Bitcoin is about being your own bank. Since you can easily store/hide your wallet's seed in your luggage (not all in the same place!), why use a CEX?!!?

1092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ark Investment lanches report Big Ideas 2023: bitcoin price above 1mi in 2030 on: February 09, 2023, 10:15:32 AM
Well if ARK and Cathie Wood weren't invested then people would be asking why didn't they buy any bitcoin if she thinks the price will go so high?
Damn if you do, damn if you don't. At least they put their money where their mouth is.

You do have a good point here  Cheesy
Still, I think that by making such price predictions on Bitcoin, their goal is to advertise their own business, not Bitcoin itself. That's all.
1093  Other / Meta / Re: Ban evasion clarification! on: February 09, 2023, 10:07:47 AM
Well done @yahoo62278 for bringing this up. I've explained in his thread that he's wrong, I've tagged him and.. the rest is up to the mods.

I don't know how the evil fee related page looks like, maybe it worth taking a look onto it, maybe it needs some information added to avoid this kind of confusion (which, as I wrote there too, may or may not be on purpose).
1094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC fights thread (predictions + money back guarantee) on: February 09, 2023, 09:55:10 AM
Addressing the ban evasion, When I registered today, I paid 10$ for the register account fee for bitcoin talk. bitcointalk got my IP.
I got banned before. When I pay again, the ban is canceled.

You've misunderstood what you paid for (whether by mistake or willingly, it doesn't matter here).
You've paid for lifting a restriction on an IP, not for lifting a ban against you, as person.

This means that the IP is free to use, but you are still banned.
1095  Economy / Reputation / Re: Discrimination against bounty hunters on: February 09, 2023, 09:42:12 AM
I stand to be corrected anyway if my submission is not accurate.

Your "submission" is, first of all, a wall of text. If you want to be taken seriously you should start with making posts that can be read effortlessly.

Then, your premises are incorrect. The fact that it's especially lower rank members jumping in without second thought into bounties is their own fault. If they would not be so keen to see posting as a means of income and just use the forum as a forum (and see the income for their posts as a bonus) then everything would be better. But that comes with experience, and with experience the better rank also is there.

So imho the participants are looked down upon because of their own behavior.
Plus, it's not the bounty managers those who bring new bounties. It's the various projects and businesses. The bounty managers only manage all that.
You have so many questions it's difficult to answer them all. I wish the bounty hunters come to their senses someday and think before joining to campaigns. Maybe some campaign managers will have tough days for a while, but afterwards the things may get better: better managers, meaningful payments, better rules too ... because I expect huge levels of meaningless posts in those campaigns.

Unless it is technical, I don't see how ordinary and normal discussions improve the forum as we claim.

I've seen plenty of meaningful discussions without being technical. The fact you don't see that, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
This being said, I think that your... proposals are based on incorrect fundaments, but I admit, I didn't read carefully every word you've written.

Plus, I don't understand your problem:
* Is it that some bounty hunters are not being accepted to campaigns? Well, maybe better ones got accepted and the (limited!) places got filled?
* Is it that they spam too much? Report the spam at sight!
* Is it that some bounty hunters or bounty managers see this as a daily job? It's a risk they take and it can easily turn bad. But it's their choice.

This is a forum. You know, a place people discuss.. preferably about bitcoin and altcoins. Somehow far too many keep forgetting that... sadly.
1096  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A reminder to all new Bitcoin investors on: February 08, 2023, 08:08:16 PM
New thing is not guaranteed to replace the old thing just because it's new. I can demonstrate the absurdity of this narrative by pointing out that every of the thousands of altcoins claims that it's going to replace Bitcoin soon. And yet they don't, just like Bitcoin is not replacing banks.

You're right, but only partly.
While Bitcoin will not replace the commercial banks and even more I think that sooner or later those will offer Bitcoin-related products - exchange, investment and maybe reserve too - (some already started on that path), Bitcoin does have the potential to render useless the central banks. Of course, we are very far from that (globally), still, it is possible.
1097  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: All you need to know about Mixer before using it on: February 08, 2023, 07:58:29 PM
Thanks for the honest review about content.

It was by far not a review of what you wrote, I am sure that you still have mistakes there, some are getting pointed out I see. But no problem, if you pay attention to what people will say and you'll adjust your post accordingly, you'll get it right after some time. After all, it's a learning curve also for you.

Some possibly interesting points:
* Chipmixer is donation based, so if one reads the FAQ he can easily mix his coins for free (only tx fees to pay)
* Centralized mixers are trust based - from the trust they'll give your money back to the trust they don't keep logs. Also, it's good to know that some mixers' web page is behind CloudFlare and even if they don't keep logs, CloudFlare will probably do.
1098  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: All you need to know about Mixer before using it on: February 08, 2023, 07:37:15 PM
If there are more, do let me know.

This kinda saved you  Wink
How you managed to miss the mixer that's most well known on the forum, ChipMixer?
It's the most reputed mixer, just one has to beware of the fake clones and go to the onion link from the signature(s) or from the ANN
Please add it to the list, it worth it.

Thanks again for your flawless timing!

Sorry to interrupt all the talks about Bonbon L, but it's time for some weekly time travel.

Aaaand... Foxpup's not-so-well-oiled time machine tricked you again into being too early  Grin
However, after being sometimes way too late, it wort pointing out your punctuality this time. Wink
1100  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: February 08, 2023, 06:25:40 PM
Since the year started with a good results by moving from $20k to $24k this year

As said, you've started with inaccuracies. Even more, the tiny 4k movement means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Just look at the whole price chart.

because, the price of BTC will surely reach $80k before the end of this year 2023.
Are you sure investors will experience $80 this year?

So you fist say that people should take advantage of the low price because it'll rise to 80k... then kinda ask us if it's (surely) so?
No, I'm not sure of any price level for Bitcoin. And, to go on the actual speculation area, I don't even expect 80k this year. I would be happy even with 50k. The 80k I expect for next year though. But again, what I expect and what will happen... those may be wildly different things.

So it's nice to tell people be careful and don't miss the train, but on the other hand make sure you remind them only invest what they afford to lose, else if tomorrow the price will go a tad lower, they'll already panic and sell.
