1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock Ethereum ETF Filing on: November 12, 2023, 05:20:01 PM
ETF has been trending lately, it's because of Bitcoin which has a lot of rumors about Bitcoin ETF approval, and most of the final deadlines of Bitcoin ETFs are next year.

Suddenly the highest market cap altcoin has been shocking announcement about this ETF filing.

Do you think Ethereum will be approved first before  Bitcoin?
Or Bitcoin first then Ethereum?

And do you think after Ethereum is approved on their ETF, any other altcoins will follow too?

https://listingcenter.nasdaq.com/rulebook/NASDAQ/rulefilings

This news has ignited new wave of excitement in cryptocurrencies market. Ethereum price surged to above $2100 and all protocols on Ethereum network are showing price increase to the extent of 10-15%. There is speculation in the market that Ethereum can potentially soar to $3000 or even more once formal improved of Ethereum is obtained by BlackRock.
I think that $3k is not much for eth now. Especially since the hype around the etf will only get stronger. But until the etf is approved for bitcoin, it is too early to talk about possible developments for eth. I think we are seeing a local altseason so far and that's already good.

there were predictions that ETH would go $25k once approved. the adoption is really arriving in 2024. it only needs ETH ETF to kickstart this altcoin season to full steam. even now, SOL is outranking competitors and reached almost $60 at this very early phase.

ETH ETF will be approved after all it's the Blackrock that is applying for it. it's not just someone. Blackrock is wallstreet and if SEC Gensler was already grilled this time while the approval will still wait for several months, what more could Gensler get if he denied Blackrock? he is owned.

So that explains the recent rise in price. It's interesting to see more and more investment companies adopt cryptocurrencies; it means that we're moving towards a phase of accepting realizing that they're real assets, for those who have always doubted it. If Bitcoin is approved, then Ethereum will be approved too, for sure, and who knows, more cryptocurrencies might be listed in the future as well. However, $25,000 sounds like way too much. How much will Bitcoin be worth if Ethereum reaches that high? It's previous ATH sits slightly below $5,000; in my opinion, a more reasonable prediction would be around $7,000 to $8,000 tops.

$25k may be too much to believe in. it's just a delusional prediction of random guys out there but it's what they said too when someone said ETH will hit $4000.
i don't find it hard to believe especially because the digital currencies growth could be parabolic this time because the fiat currencies are falling apart and at the same time the largest institutions are supporting blockchain projects like ETH to be one among the ETF.

eventually, they will all be approved BTC and ETH ETF. the thing that we need to be warned of is what will cause the price to fall down in the bear market because there usually is a company that will break or will the government do the witch hunt for crypto criminals.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Luck and skill, which is more important gambling success? on: November 12, 2023, 04:56:12 PM
Luck of course. Skills with analyzing the game would also help but if it is determining which one is more important then that’s luck which is something we cannot develop no matter how hard we try. You are free to create your own analysis but if you are not lucky today, you’d still lose. Especially with games such as slots, dice, and even card games; luck will be always needed. With sportsbetting, an analysis would work but given that everything could still happen during the match, then nothing’s assured still. Luck won’t be always taking its place on a daily basis so if there’s one thing every gambler would desire of, then that’s absolutely luck.
Luck is definitely important, but it plays a role in the short term. Even if luck is on our side and we can win 1, 2...10 times, it will not last forever. And no matter how lucky the player is, it will end sooner or later. It’s another matter if a person has strong game analysis skills. These skills will always be with him and, unlike luck, the player will eventually be able to earn very good money with these skills, over a long distance. But this path is only available to a very small number of players. To summarize, it would be with the help of luck to win a lot of money in a short time and never return to gambling again.

for gamblers to take the opportunity to win big, they just have to grab their chance and risk to bet a big amount if luck is on their side. but we all know success in gambling is always gonna be short-lived. there is no way you can get lucky every day.

no matter how skillful a gambler is, he will still need the luck. the sports gambler are sharing their analysis but somehow they sometimes get so wrong with the result of the game. it's not a 100% win but luck plays a role in gambling. it can not be manipulated even if you pray 10 hail marys every time you bet, you will still lose some of your games.

1164  Economy / Digital goods / Re: I am Buying Older Wallets / Accounts with History on: November 12, 2023, 03:54:11 PM

you should put a price for it just like the first who had tried in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5440895.0
maybe someone will be interested. can you now tell us what is it for?  because it already is interesting to see two of you are looking to buy old ETH wallets. i have mine very unused since 2018 which was created from ForkDelta how much are you offering for it?

i still kept the oldest ones that i have as i have a spreadsheet for the wallets i created. maybe if the price is good enough to ignore the risk, i wouldn't mind selling those old throw-away wallets.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a gambler be a good bitcoin trader? on: November 12, 2023, 05:17:50 AM
when you are in the crypto industry for a long time, you will eventually learn to trade well like the swing traders who gets the most profit in few trades. its not hard to learn to trade when you are interested.

just like the traders or anyone holding coins, gamblers will certainly be interested to trade coins if it meant profit especially in the bull market. but it would be best if they trade in major exchanges and not on the internal exchange of casinos where they are playing.
1166  Economy / Speculation / Re: This bullish momentum - Breaking through the $35,000 mark on: November 12, 2023, 03:03:33 AM

don't assume to much that it will plunge because its on the overbought high in RSI, they institutions want you to think that way which you will be waiting for the price to dump while the price soar higher.

if you compare it to the previous bull run, its almost the same where it shoots up instead and the whales got your coins. they don't care anymore whether they bought it at a high price. they only care about having more BTC. and we havn't got the ETF approved yet and the coming halving is still approaching.

you must have the highest tolerance for scammers to wait 5 months before creating this thread. your patience is mother teresa level. he didn't offer collateral and then its a big amount for someone to send.

because he went online and knew that red trust you gave yet no communication still, youre right to think he isn't coming back to pay for it.  its already in his mind since he couldn't restore his account to remove the negative trust.

how do we know this project has really people in it?

interesting project but i don't see anyone buying the tokens that someone created by someone under mintme. for what? is mintme going to add utility to the token that someone creates?

it felt crazy already reading the comment above. investing a $1 and return be like $30. dude i'd kill myself for missing this opportunity. earning while supporting favorite creators. if this is how easy it is to make money here, they'd be cramming this thread. i see only 3 of us.  Grin
1169  Local / India / Re: India trained 3,000 police officials on crypto investigations in 2022–2023 on: November 11, 2023, 05:25:13 PM

if its purpose is to bust Indian scammers in crypto that would be good but you'll have to consider also that these police officials can also hunt down big crypto holders in the end especially when the laws turn against crypto. Indian government is also confusing with regards to the regulation on crypto, sometimes i hear news their government will be banning BTC, but the next day it explains not actually.

Narcotics Control Bureau is involved in this and it sounded like there will be a crackdown on users using crypto to buy drugs.
did the Indians have their own Silk Road?
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: November 11, 2023, 04:23:24 PM

It's a personal choice and a good number of people you expect to answer your question don't own a gambling business. But, looking at the lifestyles of gambling shop owners they mainly focus on running the business and attending to customer's problems. Not everyone feed on their product. It'll be at a minimal, as it'll look like cheating on themselves. When they win or lose, it doesn't count.  Though, in the movies, gambling owners do participate in board games to at least keep their customers entertained. Hence, in real life, people tend to continue playing when they see the owner also participate in games. In other words, few of them don't gamble, but, when they do, it could be a marketing strategy.

not seen an owner sitting on the table to play but i guess to fill one chair i guess he can join so that it appears there are players.  why not, they have money to spend. the baccarat game and the likes are like the owner/casino vs players.

they were hiring influencers to play on their website to promote the casino as well. the money used by the influencer comes from the owner, i think this is just like him playing in his own casino. the purpose is just different though.
1171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sad reality: some countries gamble more than they can afford on: November 10, 2023, 08:15:09 PM
What do you think about this issue where people gamble too much in countries where the vast majority of the population isn't well off? Should governments step in and restrict casinos more perhaps?

the government of Greece can do something to prevent the population from getting hooked on those casinos but if the risk outweighs the benefit, they will just limit the promotion of the casinos just like what Australia was doing.

this isn't just happening in Greece. in my country, the government steps in and shuts down the casinos operating illegally. these casinos provide money to the government, it can't just stop their business. but the government creates another law for it and will also ask for more money from the casino otherwise they will do something to their operation. seems regular stuff they do to squeeze more money from casinos especially if they know the casino is making more money from its people.
1172  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Sell your EMPTY ETH Wallet! ($5-10/address) on: November 10, 2023, 07:43:57 PM
He just want to claim that free UniSwap tokens for you ... sell him your wallet used for uniswap trading and he will claim free 400 uniswap tokens ... It's that simple.
How much do they pay for those garbage tokens these days?

Today 5$ for one token.  There was a moment in history they were priced 40$ each.

Still claiming 400 tokens x 5$ ... you get 2000$... If he buy a wallet even for 500$ its still great business.

Are you telling me that I can claim 400 tokens worth $5 each with those addresses I posted? Where can I claim them?

Edit, I have no idea how to connect wallet to uniswap, and these shit coins confuse me a lot, if anyone is interested, I could accept the use of escrow, you just pay 70% of the airdrop value to the escrow and I will give the keys to the escrow and I will take the money from him after you are done claiming.

However here is the question, how are you going to claim anything if the keys are already exposed and scammers are  collecting whatever shitcoin going there in less than a second. Yeah I never use eth bnb and other total shitcoins, those are scam addresses, well most of them, some of them I found by collision attack.

Check which one doesn't have a in and out tx with a second interval, that's actually not a scam wallet, if the wallet is empty but you could still claim the 2 bounties posted on uniswap site, then please tell me so I can claim them and convert them to eth, bnb and let them be there for the owner before the pot of bounties is empty.

Every ETH address that "interacted" with uniswap contract address before  September 1, 2020, at 12:00 am UTC can claim 400 UNI.

The most important thing is : Was your address involved in any action with UniSwap before mentioned date ?

If your answer is yes then you will probably get the tokens.

If you want to try i can help you claiming the tokens - if you decide that my hints was helpful you can send me a small reward - if not then i'm fine with that too.

BTW  I've checked the few addresses you posted before and unfortunately no one of them can claim UNI tokens ...

anyone who have been in the forum during that time must have claimed their UNI tokens already. everybody knew that airdropped. OP must have know something else that he is buying the old wallets. it could be another possible airdrop.

but the original owners still have the private keys of those wallets, there is no point since the original owners can still claim any airdrops to those wallets and send them to their new ones. it's pointless buying the wallets.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: November 10, 2023, 07:25:21 PM

i could be wrong with that odds, 30% for almost a 90% win Inoue would be a loss for the bookie. i could just be giving tapales a big credit because he is also a champ. he wouldn't be in that position if he can't box. he still has lots of time in preparation but i remember fulton is close to that as well. kudos to tapales for not ducking the no. 2 p4p though. for a boxer who has seen firsthand what Inoue can do.  it's a tough fight when you can foresee yourself taking the canvas temperature challenge with just one hit from the monster.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney (9th of December) on: November 10, 2023, 06:02:09 PM
So it's still almost a month before this fight. And just like most fight fans, Eddie Hearn is also anxious about this fight. Only the result of this fight will determine if Haney is really good and is stronger in this division since he was struggling at 135. Or Haney isn't good and was only good at 135 due to his size advantage.

Still, it is Teofimo Lopez as the man to beat in this division after beating Taylor. I am curious about what's next in this division. We want to see unifications or at least the top names fighting each other.

I do agree, I think in this division, since Teo beat the former unified champion in Teo Lopez, he will be the man to beat at 140 lbs. Haney is not yet tested, but Prograis is a champion, he doesn't have that kind of pop in his name.

Ryan Garcia is yet to make his name in this division, he will have a hard time facing a knockout artist in Duarte. If he wins that one, for sure he will call out names here. Might be good to see him and Teo Lopez though, could be the biggest fight at 140 lbs and Ryan making a lot of money again.

But let's wait for the outcome of his fight, and still good to see Prograis a huge underdog.

I am still doubtful about Ryan's eagerness to face a champion. He is earning big money even if he never fought a belt. So he may continue doing it and just hype the public by calling champions and then in reality he will face non-champions just like what Tank is doing.

But maybe Ryan will dare fight the winner of Prograis and Haney especially if the victor shows many flaws that Ryan believes he can take advantage of. But there's also the issue with Ryan and GBP. Ryan's fight against Duarte might be his last with GBP so his next fight will depend on which promoter he will sign. If he signs with PBC then he might get the easiest undeserving WBA champion of the division, Rolly and there is also the IBF champ Subriel Matias but I guess it'll be suicide for Ryan. Matchroom has WBC champ Prograis and his challenger Devin Haney while Top Rank has the lineal, WBO champion Teofimo Lopez.

it's even a wonder why Ryan still fights under GB even when there is litigation going on. they can't just look away from what happened to them, he will part ways with that promotion just like Canelo.

do you think it's gonna be Haney vs Teo after Prograis?  Haney arriving in this division and suddenly getting a shot against Prograis is stirring up the division which Haney vs Teo seems like the plan. but why didn't they just arrange Prograis vs Teo?
1175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Andre August - December 15th in Florida on: November 10, 2023, 04:35:39 PM
So, after Jake Paul's impressive performance against the popular sports personality Nate Diaz, he chooses to fight an unknown boxer? It doesn't make sense because if Jake Paul wants more money, he should at least look for a tougher opponent, someone decent that would get the fans' interest. What's his goal here? Is he just trying to boost his win record?

I think he should go for a rematch against Tommy Fury, the boxer who beat him via split decision. That would be more interesting than this reported fight.

while a rematch with Tommy makes sense, Jake may not be prepared for it and Tommy just fought with KSI last month who also won.
if jake wants to fight someone who is popular i think he should fight a youtuber as well. but this won't add value to his record. he needs a real boxer but also someone that he knows has more than 50% rate of winning. he found one in the name of Andre August.

if there is one thing that Jake helped in combat sports is that Dana still signed Tony Ferguson in a UFC contract regardless of his age because Dana doesn't want him to fight Jake.
1176  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: November 10, 2023, 04:08:57 PM
I always try to keep my gambling habit hidden because I live in a conservative family where everyone is religious and in this religious conservative family gambling will never be accepted. Moreover, I have small children, if they see their father's gambling activities, then a kind of curiosity will arise in them, and from that curiosity, the small children will develop an addiction to gambling. Also I have many primary level children around my house and I always try to stay away from them and I don't enter gambling sites in front of them during the day. I try to avoid gambling and casinos at all times considering the overall condition of small children.

it will also be the cause of quarrels when someone in your family knows you are playing casino online. it could be a big problem that you might as well just stop before they catch you doing it. but just like many of us we are so invested in gambling, that we can't just wake up one day and stop.

while my family is not really opposed to gambling.  i would rather not let them know because they might just think i have a ton of money to waste. and if one day i ask help them financially, they might think i lost my money due to my casino activity online.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: November 10, 2023, 05:27:41 AM

As for the long training time of Tapales which runs for more than 4 months and sparring high-level fighters in the very first month are very unusual. Normal fighters train between 2 to 3 months. They start light, go hardcore, and sparring is part of the final stages when the body is nearing its peak. Most fighters who overtrained in the past lost their fights which is why it is uncommon nowadays to have very long camps. But we'll see how this goes. I am somehow hoping for Tapales to show something big in this fight.

Tapales is pushing himself to train harder than his usual routine, and we can't blame him for it. He's going up against the best in the world in that division, and even though he's a champion himself, people see Inoue as more dominant. So, Tapales has to prove them wrong and earn the respect he deserves.

It's good to hear that Tapales is pushing himself very hard in training. That is the sign that he wanted to really show that he is the one that will give Inoue the lost. And we like that kind of mindset for a boxer and I think they all learn it from the great Manny Pacman Pacquiao. I mean you could have all the talent in the world, but if you don't put your ass off and train hard, you will end up for nothing.

Moreover, if Tapales were to win this fight, he would bring honor to the Philippines, and people might start thinking of him as the next Pacman. Just imagine, a pound-for-pound top fighter falling at the hands of a Filipino underdog champion. That would certainly grab major attention once the news gets out. But for that to happen, Tapales needs to ensure he scores a massive upset win here.

Definitely, I don't think that the Philippines has a reigning world champion except himself at this time. So he needs to continue and fight and should be retaining that belt at all cost as he doesn't want to earn the year without any Filipino champion. He needs to sacrifice more to continue the Filipino tradition and follow the path of Manny and other great champion before him.

even when tapales is in his prime years, he'd lose this fight. Inoue is just a different monster, tapales be lucky if he survives 12 rounds but most probably it's going to be Inoue by KO.

betting is still yet open but the odds will probably be Inoue 1.3 vs Tapales 3.4 you have to be a die-hard fan of Tapales to actually bank on him. he is a champ though and by any chance there will be an upset, it's a facepalm to Inoue fans.
1178  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: minimum amounts to buy and sell a coin when trading on: November 09, 2023, 08:04:31 PM

safetrade does have a discord https://discord.gg/4szJzdR  you wanna ask them there too.
you would [refer to have at least good amount to make profit. trading in the bull season is a perfect way to learn the market while its advantageous. if you are to trade in binance you can deposit with just any amount you want to trade.

I have never heard of this exchange platform so I can't give you much information about it. Seems like you were just starting your journey. So I would suggest using those platform that are on the top. Centralized platform are not the best way to go but when you are needed to use it, it is the best choice to choose the ones that are reputable.

I personally use Binance and Kucoin exchange platform. The minimum you can trade on their platform is from $10 and above. If it's less than $10 then you can't make any order and complete any thread. There are no minimum deposit amount though it is wise to check first what's the minimum requirement for withdrawal. As it is different from coins to coins, I can't really give you detail information about everything. You need to try it on your own.

In Binance, there's an option to convert some coins to stable coins or to Bitcoin. It has many options which you can choose from, and the amount has no minimum requirement. You can find it in wallet > future > convert.

So deposit what you can withdraw later on and also deposit some extra too. So that when you make a loss in trade you will be able to withdraw if you don't feel like keeping your asset there.

as little as $10 i guess its possible for him to train himself to trade on spot. with how the market swings today its too high a minute ago it was already $38k then suddenly down to $36k. it will be a big profit if you deposit bigger.
1179  Economy / Economics / Re: Swiss Franc become a new Cryptocurrency ;D on: November 09, 2023, 07:11:59 PM
True, they are one of the riches countries, but I think if we talk about adoption, isn't total number of user better than total amount?

It is theoretically possible that in a country like Switzerland there are more people who use/own Bitcoin than in a country with perhaps ten times as many inhabitants. Even at least 5+ years ago in Switzerland, you could buy Bitcoin at a machine where train tickets are sold, or you could pay taxes in the same in some of their cities.

I want to say that in some countries financial literacy is much higher than in others, and this combined with favorable regulation creates a positive environment in which people are not afraid to invest in Bitcoin as in some other countries in Europe where the central banks practically call it a fraud.

When we talk about the total number of users, or perhaps it is better to say those who own Bitcoin, some studies say that this number is somewhere around 2% of the total population, while the most optimistic ones go up to 5%. In any case, this is definitely too little considering that Bitcoin has existed since 2009.

which means there will be more users of CBDC than Bitcoin once every government launched their own CBDC. quite a tiny percentage of people who are more aware of BTC existence despite how popular Bitcoin is.

people will prefer the CBDC i think because its easy for commercial payment services. if CBDC are to exist on blockchain i think Swiss Franc will work like stablecoin and every country will have their own stablecoin as soon as they launch theirs. i can only assume they will be using Ether network.

What a weird man who made that video Grin counting and editing all that.

Btw, I find it strange, that bookies dont have an obvious winner in paira Jiri vs Pereira and Pavlovich vs Aspinal. Only Pereira and Aspinal have little advantage. I guess we gonna have some close fights. However, I still dont understand why they evaluate Jiri so high. Except Teixeira I see no big names in his record.

probably because he submitted a very experienced Teixeira and Jiri does have striking that can match Perera. that's why i bring that video up for it may give an outlook on the fight if they do it on feet. a missed shot could be an opponent's chance. 54/120 and the fact that majority didn't made them fall, i think jiri can absorb his hooks.

its not a guaranteed analysis of the fight but Jiri knows Perera is not well equipped when it comes to grappling and wrestling it will matter when one of them find an opening to where they bring the fight to.
