1221  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mining farm in Iran on: November 07, 2019, 07:09:39 PM
Actually I don't think you didn't have a more perfect time to do this but now because the last news I heard about this is a lot of Chinese miners are actually moving their operations from China to Iran and this could be a perfect business opportunity for you to have a partnership with one of them. Of course your only problem is on how you could get in touch with one of them and how the profit will be split since judging by what you wrote the only thing you can give them is your plot of land which is really a big deal for any business operation. So I think the best thing for you is to be a silent partner where you won't be in charge in any operation and let your partner be the one who runs the place. Maybe posting your business idea/proposal locally will help in one of your crypto communities online as this will be a lot faster than finding an investor/partner in the forum.
1222  Economy / Securities / Re: Vietnamese Exchange BitcoinVN Is Seeking Investors For 12 New Bitcoin ATMs on: November 07, 2019, 06:17:55 PM
I've read some of your FAQs in your website and I have some concerns regarding on how you will process this in the foreseeable future legally speaking.

Quote
Are there any transaction limits?

BTMs do not have any transaction limits. Occasionally, BTM may automatically limit the order size (always notifying the customer beforehand) for orders larger than 50mil (buy) and 30mil (sell) due to technical reasons.

Do BTM require verification or KYC?

BitcoinVN, as the operator of the BTMs, does not require any verification or KYC on transactions executed via a BTM.

A mobile number is required for the operation of the BTM. It allows customers to

pre-sell cryptocurrencies online to reduce the wait time at the BTM and to
privately view links with the latest status of the transaction.

KYC process is something that a lot of countries with Bitcoin ATMs require for their users some do it not directly with the ATM itself but from a crypto wallet associated to them, if you don't have it now then expect that you will forcibly have one when the Vietnamese government starts to get more involve with the industry. Having transaction limits is also inevitable since it is a standard procedure for most country to issue limits as a precaution regarding AML procedures, think about the abuse your machines will have if a customer can literally have unlimited transactions with it. Yes it's good that you don't have KYC and transaction limits as of the moment but think about the potential legal issues you will have because of it.
1223  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bullish time? on: November 07, 2019, 02:52:12 PM

1224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KSI vs Logan 2 on: November 06, 2019, 08:35:45 PM
I won't think of staking high on this match because the last match between this two ended ridiculously, a draw. This guys are performing publicity stunts to gain popularity.
If I'm to bet on who would win, I will go for KSI because he fit aggressively and doesn't get weak easily. He knows about boxing, Logan only started practicing last year when they fixed a date for the fight.

Judging with the memes and troll videos I see they aren't really into boxing that much they always create content based on how they train, how they talk trash to the other side, and even throw in some music videos while they are at it. So basing it on their "experience" when it comes to boxing I really don't think they have one. If you are saying KSI has experience because he did this before against Joe Weller well it's really not much of an experience really especially when Weller isn't really a boxer to begin with. Logan Paul on the other hand is a wrestler but I don't know what he his advantage will be when it comes to boxing. But really if you see the first match any person can say who watch at least 1 pro boxing match will say that this is lower than an amateur bout.
1225  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: ATM Coin Founders Forced to Pay $4.25M Fine Following Binary Options Fraud on: November 06, 2019, 07:59:56 PM
One of the biggest thing that happened here is finally one of the white collar criminals will serve a term in prison, Harrison Kantor will serve more than 7 years in prison for his fraud and I think one of the factors about that is that he lied with the FBI, I'm happy that someone already will serve as an example as mostly crypto related white collar criminals only gets a slap in the wrist. The most recent one I know is Mark Karpeles who is the CEO of Mt. Gox who was found guilty of data manipulation and was suppose to serve a 10 year jail sentence but the Japanese court was good enough to hand him a suspended 30 month jail sentence which he won't receive if he maintained good behavior for four years. I just want to see these kinds of punishments more and more for them to stop attempting to destroy the industry anymore.

I don't remember what user stats look like but I think your profile in bpip.org is a good alternative if you want a quick snap on some of your stats like who you send merits the most and who are your top merit fans (merit senders), and your trust score. Here is a your profile link in bpip.org, hope this helps ease up some anxiety you are feeling right now.
1227  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are Airdrops worth participating in? WHERE to find all of them? on: November 06, 2019, 06:11:48 PM
Also, I advise you to avoid the airdrops that ask for KYC, they're not worth giving your identity for.

This is the truth about tokens asking for KYC especially the ones not known to be active on any domestic activities. You see the thing is a lot of airdrops from ICO have been doing a KYC-trap lately and even on bounty campaigns which didn't disclose anything about a KYC requirement and before reaching the end of the campaign/airdrop period they will somehow make KYC as a requirement before they receive the payment. Here is one of the examples here that happened lately and victimize a lot of participants in their campaign. So you really can't trust airdrops without asking KYC first as they can make it as a requirement at the end which really sucks on their part.
1228  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Holds Above $9k on: November 05, 2019, 08:27:05 PM
As suspected Bitcoinist is doing these Bitcoin vs. Stocks kind of comparisons when it comes to gains, I just posted a reply in one of the threads in the Press section with a different Bitcoinist article but the same point. Are they running out of ideas on creating articles that they resorted to comparing Bitcoin to returns of blue chip stocks in the market? Like what I have posted in that section Bitcoin might have higher returns but Bitcoinist is comparing it to returns given by blue chip companies not to mention a more stable asset. We may have higher returns but the risk is more than doubled compared to traditional markets we have, the volatility alone can cause a lot of people to lose money while trading.
1229  Economy / Services / Re: Need help advertising my crypto company on: November 05, 2019, 07:44:09 PM
Why spend extra or try to share your profit when you can be a seller of Bitcoin in localbitcoins? It's fast to create an account and they are technically advertising your product for you without any hassle on finding a buyer on your own. Because realistically speaking I don't see how a middleman like this would be able to find you your own clients, having them advertising you and then directing them towards you would just add a lot of suspicion on how the deal should really work. At least with localbitcoins the sellers are somehow trusted by the buyers since they also have KYC involve.
1230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder Vs. Luis Ortiz II on: November 05, 2019, 07:10:22 PM
I wonder why nobody here is discussing about the upcoming rematch fight between The Bronze Bomber and the The Real King Kong. Is this rematch battle too long overdue that there is no more hype left? Well, the day is coming near and the battle is definitely going to end with one of them lying on the canvas.

Probably because the talks are already in for the rematch of Wilder and Fury to happen in 2020, I don't know how this works but they already have a agreed fight even before their first bout will happen. Originally the match against Wilder in 2020 was meant for Dillian Whyte but he tested positive for substance abuse removing his right for a mandatory fight against Wilder. This fight against Luis Ortiz isn't really the one that fans want nor they even expect this to happen. The organization might just be treating this as a filler bout in order for Wilder to maintain his belt.
1231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Send BTC twice and it didn't confirm fast enough, but it's gone on: November 05, 2019, 06:09:31 PM
Give us the site you sent the funds to and the transaction ids you used and we might be able to help...

Contact the support for that company too they'll reimburse you if they're not a scam for the second transaction.

Was at a shady market lol, nothing despicable but figured I'm out on this one.

Dozens of people are asking the site where you have transacted already and you are giving up on your own. Usually when things like this happens what you just need to do is the txid proving that you have sent the funds to the specified payment address you are given too, if you have that the 30 minute timer they have is useless since you have sent the payment to it even if they have received it late they still receive the payment twice. If you don't want to mention the website then just try to contact them on your own, if this is an e-commerce type of website then you will find their support/contact page easily and try to voice out your concern there.
1232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 18,000,000 bitcoins have been mined! on: November 05, 2019, 05:30:39 PM
what will happen if bitcoin runs out in the mine,? whether the price will be more expensive because it can no longer be in the mine, what if people in the future turn to other alternative coins besides bitcoin, maybe at this time bitcoin is number one crypto, but we will not know what will happen in the future, it could be that most people will leave bitcoin.

It does not mean the end for Bitcoin when all of the 21,000,000 BTC are mined it just simple marks the end for miners earning BTC in their mining operating, they still will have transaction fees to be earned afterwards. If you think that if all of the BTC are in circulation in the market that it will cost an oversupply for us think again because if you look around you will see that the development for the crypto industry itself is rapidly growing and I think the demand will even be more in the future, to be honest 21,000,000 doesn't look enough for the growing demand it has currently.
1233  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-11-03] Bitcoin YTD Performance Exceeds 140%, Outperforms Most Traditional on: November 04, 2019, 07:57:40 PM
I'm not liking the comparison given by the article more particularly the tweet that is based on it. Bitcoin in that tweet is being compared to the most stable assets known around the world this consists of mostly blue chip companies as well as stable precious metals which if compared to Bitcoin, a volatile asset, would surely lose. But if we mention stocks in the SMEs, penny stocks or some newly launch IPOs not only found in USA then surely the 140% ytd by Bitcoin will be nothing compared to it not to mention that we are talking about stocks a more stable asset compared to Bitcoin.
1234  Economy / Economics / Re: The Economic Analysis of Demand for Bitcoin on: November 04, 2019, 07:10:22 PM
The wrong thing about this is when people talk about higher interest rates = people saving/investing their money is they are only talking about traditional kinds of investments here from stocks, forex, and into mutual funds. There is really no direct link that tells us that people will move their money onto something that is not stable given with a higher risk to reward ratio, some even enter the market late when Bitcoin and other cryptos already went up which in their minds is what a "favorable market condition". Other factors such as Bitcoin not known to many has a less likely chance to become one of the preferred investments by people when the time interests rates increase, they would just go like I said to traditional investments where they think their money is much safer to grow.
1235  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blastrocket - 200% after 120 hours (doubler) on: November 04, 2019, 06:00:16 PM
Flag supported and tagged the account. However this is expected to be in the Investor-based games section in the forum where you will commonly see these types of scam investment, the section is in fact meant for these types of scams to be posted in the forum.
It does not matter in which section this Ponzi scheme is located. Scam does not cease to be so if placed in the Investor-based games section.

For me it does matter, if members especially the newbies know where these type of scam investment are usually posted then they are less likely to join them. Them not being aware that this types of "investment" are not true are most likely blinded by the returns given in a short period that is why they are attracted to the scam. For me the warning given in that thread isn't enough for a lot of newbies to realize that most of the things being posted there are scams.

Because this warning:
Quote
Warning: You are in the Gambling section. You are likely to eventually lose any money that you gamble/"invest". Additionally, moderators do not remove likely scams. You must use your own brain: caveat emptor. Do not gamble more than you can afford to lose.
isn't really enough for newbies to understand that they need to stay away from this threads or at least be careful on what they join.
1236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 04, 2019, 03:29:22 PM
After seeing today's game of A.C. Milan it just confirms what I have seen in the past games and Milan's playing style is too vulnerable to counter-attacks those two goals scored by Lazio are a result of the defense collapsing after Milan fails to deliver a goal. They always try to pressure the opposing team's defense leaving their defemse vulnerable as well. If they were only good at finishing or maintaining the ball on the other side the defense won't do so much work in this.
1237  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: P2P Provably Fair Casino Project on: November 03, 2019, 07:51:09 PM
I'm more concerned in the legal side of this since we are talking about "gambling" here and not all can just host a server and become a "casino owner". The idea of a P2P casino looks good but why don't you think it has been done by now? Because this can be more complicated than you think and each "casino owner" should be licensed to operate a game and I don't think everyone speaking individually can obtain one especially if you aren't a company of your own. There is no loophole in this if you want users to host and play because it's simple legally impossible if you ask me. It would be better of creating a casino on your own where you can control the games.
1238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 03, 2019, 07:11:01 PM
Did someone watched the game of Detroit Piston against Chicago Bulls yesterday? I mean it's Derrick Rose and it's his hometown. He get's standing ovation from Bulls crowd to chicago return, that feels of how much they love D. Rose and a sign of comeback in chicago continue and end what you've started on us.

You should know that Derrick Rose only loves the city of Chicago not the team itself. Remember that they are the ones who lost faith in him that is why he got traded away which has started him to become a journey man in the NBA, his injury ruined his career but the team itself ruined his heart. I doubt that he will return to the team without any kind of organizational changes for the team, remember that when Coach Thibs left the team and went to Minnesota he was quickly recruited in there to play, and he was really the one who he is chasing. Without him or any kind of familiar face in the Bulls I don't think he will be wearing their uniform any time soon, maybe in his retirement or so.
1239  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Pilipinas Bitcointalk Org Shirt on: November 03, 2019, 05:43:40 PM
Ako game ako dito kahit anong klaseng t-shirt bast breathable fabric gamitin wag cotton or nylon. Yung mga fabric kasi na ito hindi bagay sa panahon natin kahit malapit na pasko sobrang init pa din, kung dri-fit type yung shirt medyo presko pa susuotin. Another suggestion is not to overdo it in terms of it design mas ok na yung simple yung typong pwedeng suotin sa kahit anong okasyon mapa party man or pang dating, yung kahit anong pwede basta  babagay sa pambaba natin at sapatos.
