1241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which currency do you prefer to use for BTC/LTC/ETH transactions? on: December 21, 2023, 08:43:33 PM
It was a question that's been asked months ago but it's very timely. Using BTC now for transactions will be costing you a lot of fees and might be the same for ETH because sometimes fees there are also that much. For LTC, I've used it and it still has cheap fees at all.
If there are other networks like the TRC20, matic sol, and many others. Wherever you can save fees, use them at this moment but eventually for the fees of Bitcoin, I think that they'll be very back soon for being cheap again.
1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fast / easy / cheap / free way to create my own altcoin? on: December 21, 2023, 08:01:06 PM
If I wanted to create my own altcoin, what is the easiest/fastest/cheapest way to do it?
Hire someone to do it for you.

By "create" here I mean a coin I could give to my friends, offer to trade for other altcoins, and store in a wallet.
So basically you just want to make one for yourself and put it on the market so that it's gonna be tradable. This is why we've got a lot of altcoins that don't have a use because the same mindsets of people that make it. They just want to make one so that it can be traded to other altcoins for their own purposes.
1243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing altcoins now or during halving? on: December 20, 2023, 11:52:21 PM
You'll also DCA just as what everyone does with Bitcoin, if you are able to do so with altcoins and you should have done it before the halving for actual Bitcoin so you don't miss both ends.

DCA's strategy for investing on altcoin is highly risky and I wouldn't recommend at all, better just apply the strategy only for bitcoin and few altcoins that is here with years of price history to analyze and predict their future movements.
The strategy itself is also applicable to altcoins. But the risk depends on their choice but if you'll choose the common ones, I don't think there's a problem with that. There is no doubt that it's best done with Bitcoin but it's a strategy that is also fine with other cryptos.

But not much of the altcoins that exists longer are not doing that geat if we compare it with side by side on Bitcoin's growth since its last ATH.
There are many of them so the choice varies. If you go over with the top rank altcoins, it's your choice. I've seen people that even DCA it with unknown and random altcoins that they find and believed to have a potential to grow someday.
1244  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poverty change people on: December 20, 2023, 11:25:04 PM
It changes people for the worse or the better. You chose to get the betterment of your life and made poverty your inspiration on how you'll face the future of yourself.
These people, choose the worst of what poverty can do to them so that's how they're changed or nothing actually changed with their situation but only their adaptation to the neighborhood that they've lived for long that affected their outlook in life and their attitudes.
1245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I’m done with trash coins!! Looking for something promising on: December 20, 2023, 10:52:46 PM
Just choose the altcoins that you know and believe will someday grow or as you've said, the prominent ones. We've got a lot of them and it's your choice on which is going to be your pick. There's lesser risk with them and that's gonna make you like Bitcoin because it's always been the stable crypto in the market. Stable in that sense that you've got assurance that it won't be rugpulled unlike the choice of many folks today, meme coins, NFTs/tokens, etc. Too rampant in that scene.
Other altcoin might likely do well but it just depends on the project and it's best to be careful not to be a victim to some random scam project, investors still buy memecoin for long term investment in my opinion I think they're taking a big risk and the funny part is a lot of them know much about new memecoin but they get deceive by others testimony, it's always good to choose bitcoin for long term to avoid stress, the reason why a lot of people still deal with shitcoin they've refuse to make research they just choose to take risk always, when dealing with shitcoins there's no guarantee of making profit, it's likely that newly investors are the ones who always fall victim to such investment that's why newbies who can't differentiate between scam project and real project they should just choose bitcoin.
That's totally a big risk for them. They have tasted the profits with these meme coins and I think that's why they're still into it and can't stop buying more of it because of the potential that they see. I think that's totally fine on their end and all they need to do is to keep checking the memecoin they've bought so that they won't be a victim of a scam because there are too many altcoins nowadays that are scams. If they're not alert with it, they're going to lose a lot money compared to the amount they've profited.
1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana Leapfrogs XRP as Fifth-Largest Crypto on: December 20, 2023, 10:06:31 PM
So far it has been a very good day for the Solana investors and other memcoins, even though the difference is just around 1 Billion market cap still its good to be in the top 5 after FTX collapse. Solana investors, what is your next step?
I am not a solana investor and this isn't a financial advise either. I think that everyone now is going to think about trying to goal to reach back the former ATH. While it's possible with such pattern of what Solana is showing. I guess that the FOMO will start in once it steps to $100 again.
It's just a wow journey to this coin when I've seen it on the rock bottom and now it's rocking back to the top and even managed to surpass XRP with its ranking.
1247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Actionable steps to be 10x better than you're on: December 20, 2023, 09:25:36 PM
The tips are not actually for trading but it is, in general, our lives to become better. While applying those principles and tips for each and every one of us, we know that being positive is what's going to give us the source to keep on moving better. Whether you're winning with your trades or not. If you can't just be good as the others then do something else for which you might better with. If you're not talented in trading, holding could be better for you.

The trader should not mix their life with the money involved in the trading application.
You don't say that because trading is already part of life as it's a livelihood to many.

Because many beginning traders will cash out with the loss for meet the expenses in the real life.
Well, it's a different thing with newbies. It's mostly that they're going to lose their trades and it doesn't matter whether they want to cash out their money with losses or let it lose more.

But he forgot the fact the loss can’t be recovered once it was loss with that money. You need to include more money for the recovery of loss.
While that might be true that you need more money to recover those losses but, as I disagree about what you've said first that money can't be recovered once you lose it.

1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we reduce the energy consumption of POW? And whether it is necessary on: December 20, 2023, 08:21:26 PM
4. What methods do you think can be used to reduce the energy consumption of POW?
PoS is the solution for it. But are you going to settle for PoS when PoW is the most secured of them all? if you are for security, PoW is the key. But if not, then PoS is totally fine and if you're already rich then it's likely that you'd be richer with that.

The problem with POS is with centralization. All the token is concentrated in a single pool so if something happens with it the whole Blockchain can be in danger. Though it consum less energy and faster than most POW network but it's centralization problem can be a big concern in the future. Vitalik also said that the problem of eth centralization will not solve very soon.
Exactly.
But because of what they believe is right, they've pushed for it and it happened for ETH. And we're seeing more of these projects go into PoS because of their advocacy to save energy. Like everytime there's a PoW discussion, it's always the emission that they discuss like it's a curse that they can't getaway with it.
1250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana just reached $80!!! on: December 20, 2023, 07:29:34 PM
wow! Solana just reached over $80! Of course it will dip down again but I think it will reach even higher and stabilize over $80 and even more, i was shocked when it was up to $70 and even $60 and now $80.
This year Solana have reached 557.1% November 2021 Solana reached it's all time high $259,96. Do you guys think it's possible for Solana to reach a new all time high again?

I hope I didn't jix it now and Solana will go down 50% next 24 hours.  Grin

https://www.coingecko.com/sv/coins/solana
Yes and just as Bitcoin hits $44k. While it is not the first time to see Solana reach $80 because it's higher in the past for its ATH. But I am impress on how low it was and how it is doing right now. I have believed that majority of the altcoins that have been into its former ATH will have hard going back there. And with solana, it's way different from those altcoins that I know will have hard time going back there because its progress to be back there is fast.
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - yes or no? on: December 20, 2023, 06:52:09 PM
Well there is alot of news about the Bitcoin spot ETF. And now there is suggestioins that XRP might also be getting a Spot ETF filed by wallstreet insitituons.
This is very 'bullish' news for me. And XRP tokens will gain big profits if this does happen.
https://thecryptobasic.com/2023/12/18/heres-why-wall-street-institutions-may-file-xrp-spot-etf/
If BTC will get an ETF, there goes the other one which was Ethereum and then there goes XRP. I knew the pattern for what's going to be on this market. There will be more of this for sure and that's why it's going to head over with the other known projects in the market. People might think that it doesn't sound good and right whenever it happens because nothing has happened on it during the past bull runs. But maybe this will be its next reason for its bull run.

ETF for XRP that is something new to me. Any asset manager applied for XRP ETF yet? If SEC announce that XRP is a security then no asset manager will provide service for xrp ETF. Though XRP and it's technology is pretty solid and they have institution grade technology and connection for mass adoption but I don't think there will be any XRP ETF in the future.
Well, when I have first heard about ETH ETF, then that's possible that every single top altcoin is also going for this. They knew it that the hype of what will happen if ever there's going to be one filed for that specific coin. That's why aside from this, we may see more of it when we see the news of a Bitcoin ETF being approved. So, it follows just like how Bitcoin is managing to be dominant on this market, it's going to be the same for the others as followers to follow the path of the king.
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: We've onboarded FBI, Secret Service to our platform on: December 20, 2023, 06:28:05 PM
So this is the next step for Tether and probably the other stablecoins as well. We're getting occupied now by the regulators and the government themselves that are tasked to maintain intelligence and threat. So that's how it goes with the threat and they probably are seeing something that's needed to be done. What's next? there is USDC, GUSD and the other stable coins that's owned by the companies and exchanges.

1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading new listed coin/token on: December 20, 2023, 12:21:09 PM
In the first few days actually, this is normal for the newly listed coins in exchanges that they'll get some value and that's going to determine if they'll stay for so long. But also the choice of exchange is an important thing to them if they'll stay here for a longer time. That's how new projects goes and usually a dump is followed by listings so, most of the early investors can get out. But if they survive, then the rest gets hefty load of profit.
the trend of the market that is bullrun right now kinda changed that routine right now many coin after listing still holding its value for long because many people are also getting fomo into buying the coin and holding it instead, sometime the coin after listing are also having some rally like if i remember correctly JTO was having quite good rally after listing and instead of dumping it have some rally that increase the price to be quite high, and recently its ACE that have the same rally, I guess bullrun does affect greatly towards the listing of new coin it also prove that the decision of many dev to hold for another bullrun in releasing their coin to be right.
right now I believe can be a good time to invest when at first listing so long we can get the initial price its already good enough because the trend is rally.
even though there might be some coin that dumps after listing thats because the coin is fundamentally weak so its different based on quality alone.
While that's likely true, the reason behind most of the newly launched projects that are holding with their market and prices is due to the upcoming bull run. This is one of the signs that we're entering the bull run because most of these projects are getting success with their pre-seeds and launches. When they hit the exchanges, that makes them very reliable on the eyes of most of their investors but still they need to rethink because they're just launched at the right timing.
1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When #Bitcoin goes up to $200,000, what do you think the #decred will be? on: December 20, 2023, 11:08:27 AM
While I am in favor to see Bitcoin goes $200,000 soon, I am familiar with decred like this was one of the popular coins during the 2017 bull run.
While it's known that most of the cryptocurrencies are going to be bullish whenever Bitcoin is bullish, so you probably are expecting or waiting for some people to tell you that it's going to be bullish. If so, I am not that person that you're waiting to say but I'd speak for general market if Bitcoin goes $200k. Btw, I truly like whenever someone says something like this for Bitcoin.  Grin

I've just checked my wallet and didn't notice that I've been far behind with the blocks but so far I'm already on 2022 and updating it as of typing this.
Maybe some of you don't even noticed that so I did the favor to you to check out your wallets and let the blocks update up to the recent date that we are now.

1258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin's comeback on: December 19, 2023, 10:53:27 PM
He is? I thought that he has quit his position but yes, even if he has already quit. No doubt that he's still the main guy. And with the news[1] years ago, that's why I felt like it was an abandoned project and the community is the one that sets for running it and that's why it's still there.

[1] ‘Conflict of Interest’: Litecoin Creator Charlie Lee Sells His Entire LTC Balance

Charlie Lee sold all of his LTC to make the project more decentralized. It would not look good for a cryptocurrency creator to have a large stake on the network (conflict of interest). LTC is now in the hands of the community. Just like Bitcoin. It's one of the few projects that actually supports decentralization and censorship-resistance. While other coins have cheaper fees and faster speeds, they're often centralized and unreliable.

It's not about the hype, but rather the usefulness of a cryptocurrency. The time will come when LTC will gather the attention of mainstream investors and traders alike. It has a limited supply of only 84m units, making it second next to Bitcoin in terms of scarcity (if I'm right). The crypto market often behaves in strange and bizarre ways, so expect the unexpected. Wink
Well, that maneuver he did seems to have a significant impact to Litecoin. While the project is now on the hands of the community, if it's about the progress of it, it's visible that there's not that much happening on it. I think that he should have stayed and did made a lot but then, no matter what happens to Litecoin, it's still no doubt one of the best altcoins to be used for transfers but with investing on it. I'm done with it long time ago.
1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you take out your investment when in profit? on: December 19, 2023, 10:14:55 PM
Then that's good. If you want to take profits with those, you should because if I am on your shoes, I'd take my profit with those alts and won't be having a second thought. Most of these alts are very fluctuating and volatile and that's why you may see it grow more or you'd see a drop and might just give you a disappointment after wards.

One thing I advise on Alticoins is to set a price target for them should they meet the target I would say take off some profit and probably leave some there. If the amount even doubles or triples you can simply just withdraw your own capital and gamble on the rest. This tactics should be used mostly for Tokens most especially meme tokens, because they are mostly pump and dump tokens. If the price begin to significantly increase then be sure to know that some investors most especially those who earned it through airdrops will sell off which will result in price fall
There are moments that we do ignore those 2x,3x or 4x gain because we're having a thought that it can go that much. The reason for that is they see other people flaunting their profits and they think that they should also do the same and reach those 100x+ of gains.
It's a different case per investor and there's no need to get onto the shoes of those people flexing their profits and just look up to your own investing journey because many of these tokens/coins are truly pump and dump and you might even get left behind if you don't do necessary actions.
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who knows about cryptocurrency arbitrage? on: December 19, 2023, 09:54:27 PM
I get it.

Yes, these hacks do happen sometimes. You can read on the internet about Gala and about Crv. When Luna dumped, that was also arbitrage, for example. So I'm looking for people who are also interested in arbitrage.
Okay, I didn't know about that because the normal arbitrage that I know is the one that you'll look for exchanges to exchanges and compare prices with them.

i don’t personally dwell in trading most especially arbitrage it’s a very complex way of trading
There's nothing special with it, it's actual trading but more job to do as you need to check and compare prices from here and there.
