1421  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for services with withdrawable welcome / depo / ref bonuses on: February 17, 2022, 05:46:13 PM
You can start looking in the crypto megathreads in r/beermoney. Make sure you do read the entire TOS about such things cause there is usually a catch which makes it not exactly free/bonus/or whatever misleading ad they try to go for.
1422  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitex.financial -- SCAM or TRUSTWORTHY ? on: February 16, 2022, 05:09:42 PM
I will try to explain this story: One day, i received a call, from Malmö.....

Your info must have been leaked somewhere. You might get a clearer picture if you check with websites like haveibeenpwned.com and intelx.io. There's a fair chance you'll receive similar scam attempts in the future as well. Unless necesarry, try not to click any links from your emails. It's also a good time to familiarize yourself with phishing scams in case you haven't already. I'd also check if there are important accounts relying on SMS 2fa or anything that could log you in using the same number cause it must be revoke, see sim swapping incidents for instance.

Thank you for all your responses. This site is as i remember it, great with people helping each other. I must admit that I have felt like mining again, hehe

I saw hashnest is closed, so no way to mining again. In Spain, electricity costs so much now, 0.25€/Kw, also i saw my well aprecied colos at Cryptoboreas is closing, too, so i think i will stay out for the moment. I have 2 friends doing something with cryptos, so i will have an eye here hehe.
Unfortunately, the only true cloud mining, i.e. the Hashnest, no longer exists. They mentioned that maybe they will come back with a similar project, but as far as I know, nothing is officially known for now.
Hundreds of other cloud minings have appeared since 2016, and they've all turned out to be a scam, so don't be fooled if someone offers you easy pasive income.

To be more precise, hashnest has exit scammed... they've gone MIA for months without fully reimbursing their users. We have waited enough and so it's safe to arrive at that conclusion. Although I doubt they'll come back again, but if ever that happens, it's best to not touch any of their services anymore @OP. This has been said a lot before but the whole cloud mining business sits in the extremely high risk area.
1423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Almost Lost Bitcoins Recovered - Forgotten Wallet Details on: February 15, 2022, 11:09:43 PM
Probably not a good idea for an average person to reveal they have that much bitcoin to the world. The BBC article shows her name and a picture of her and her daughter. It doesn't help that she seems to not be cautious enough considering she handed every info she got to a not-that-reputable service... glad that everything worked out though, hope she stays safe out there.
1424  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Confirm Your Info Email? on: February 11, 2022, 10:00:44 PM
Well the issue is I do gamble for a living as that is my income.
There isn't an option for self-employed in the dropdown menu.  So what do i choose then?

If that's your only source of income then you're bound to use coinbase for such activities. Even if we say you were able to hid your gambling tracks from them, I would say it would be highly likely for you to be marked AKA given extra attention the moment you declare your main source of income is gambling.

If you want to use a CEX with the lowest risk possible, better look for another option.
1425  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does Gate.io requires KYC? on: February 11, 2022, 12:11:15 PM
It is mandatory if that's what you're asking...

...Gate.io makes it mandatory that all users obtain KYC ID Verification. Only after your account has obtained KYC ID verification, can you withdraw funds, use credit cards or debit cards to buy cryptocurrencies and to participate in Startup projects.

but gate.io has made it somewhat ambiguous so I can't say I don't see where you're coming from.

See how they have this pls kyc notice

and a full bar withdrawal limit on my unverified test account

1426  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Confirm Your Info Email? on: February 09, 2022, 09:41:24 PM
I have zero idea how much I would trade as I never traded on coinbase before.  Do i just choose the lowest or second lowest option then?

If you have zero idea, you can base it from other exchanges you've used but I wouldn't worry about this too much. I doubt coinbase is expecting an accurate or near accurate answer.

Also where is the occupation for working online but you just gamble for your income?  I checked the industry options and it seems it has to be either

I would probably try to not involve anything related to gambling in coinbase cause they seem to be strict about it.

Unlawful Gambling: Lotteries; bidding fee auctions; sports forecasting or odds making; fantasy sports leagues with cash prizes; internet gaming; contests; sweepstakes; or games of chance that are not sanctioned by a governmental body or regulatory authority.
1427  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com - Makes things difficult to send BTC, am I the only one? on: February 04, 2022, 11:25:20 PM
This website has definitely a very strange behaviour. After working months without problems, now the "Send" Buttons on the main page of all my wallets which have quite a good amount inside have disappeared. So currently I'm not able to send any BTC from the website anymore. This happens with different IPs, Browsers and even with different wallets. It seems not to be a general bug, because I couldn't find anyone having the same issue right now. Call me paranoid, but I'm quite sure blockchain is trying to avoid "some users sometimes" to send their coins....

I believe it's a long time problem in blockchain.com. From time to time there would be complaint threads about its interface. To make things worse, wallet developments are as slow as it can be, at this point I'm not expecting for a fix.

Few examples:

Can't SEND BTC FROM BLOCKCHAIN!!!!
Blockchain.info Send button not working
blockchain.com - options not available
Couple of Blockchain.info issues/questions

Move to a better wallet OP.
1428  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FREE 10USDT ON BINANCE on: February 03, 2022, 11:41:12 PM
The only one who can help you on this is binance, you definitely should contact them.

Honestly, their support service has become lousy. I would recommend talking with 2-3 agents before calling it a day. Judging from your conversation with them, it doesn't look like the support agent knows whether the address verification was also a prerequisite...
1429  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hashnest on: February 02, 2022, 12:05:35 AM
Thank you for that. I tried to PM myself but am not allowed.
It's now over three months, tens of tickets opened and not a single reply.
I posted this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=766448.msg59087378#msg59087378

No replies from them. It's either they didn't read or don't care. They seem dead honestly.

Sorry for not making it clear but you should start a thread in scam accusations board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0) using the recommended format (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0). Posting in their ANN would be a lot less visible to ppl who helps with flags (Overview of the trust flags). Make sure to back your claims with evidences otherwise it's unlikely that ppl will believe your case.
1430  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do you think about the platform FYBIT.com ? on: January 29, 2022, 01:56:01 AM
for me, this is not a lot of money, as you put it, I usually deposit 1 BTC for testing the platform. It's not the first year I've been making money on trading.

Test deposit means you're perfectly fine losing the said amount in case things goes south. I understand that "small" and "huge" can be subjective in some cases but 1BTC is still not an amount that ppl can throw away like candies especially if they worked hard for it and were presented with valid red flags.
1431  Economy / Exchanges / Re: how to search currency exchange on: January 28, 2022, 10:01:07 PM
That's the thing. How do I know the recovery is genuine service or scam?

I'll just add to look specifically for those with blockchain analysis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockchain_analysis) experience, I don't see how it's gonna work if they're not well versed about it. Also pay attention on how deeply rooted are they with exchanges, kyc firms etc.. cause i think it gives you a hint on how much information they can easily access.

And how can they recovery even if they can trace the account?

I'm not exactly sure but most likely gonna be settled legally.

Quote from: What2022
Can they forzen the account?

Only if funds lands in a centralized platform e.g. binance, coinbase etc... Users don't actually control their funds in there so the recovery service can ask to freeze a certain someone's account if they have a valid suspicion.
1432  Economy / Exchanges / Re: how to search currency exchange on: January 27, 2022, 02:14:20 AM
But someone told here before any recovery money service need to paid in advance can not be trusted? So desperate now.

IMO, as long as they are reputable in their field, advance fee works fine. If you think about it they have a valid reason to ask for it. Whatever outcome may be, work has to be done, time, effort and resources would be consumed which is what you'll be paying for.

Be careful out there, most recovery services (for stolen funds) I've seen were scams. DYOR before anything else.
1433  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTCPOP status on: January 26, 2022, 08:03:18 PM
ooo didn't know btcpop was still alive... Waiting for two weeks doesn't look good. I would prepare myself for the worst

Someone emailed the support asking for updates

Meanwhile I emailed support. I almost got an instant reply. I asked about the status and if there is another chatroom to catch up with other users. This is the reply:

Update 01-21-22

Progress is slow, we are still trying to recover all the data, we do have most except for the last 5 days leading up to January 14th, we will continue the recovery process and have BTCpop back up as soon as possible.

No other chatroom

I suggest doing the same thing. While getting a reply doesn't mean everything is going well, not getting a response from them would be without a doubt a red flag. Try to ask another least expected question as well to make sure it's not a case of automated reply.
1434  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turnover verification on: January 26, 2022, 02:09:29 PM
Ok sir thank you very much to this explain thing...i want now to refer me good way to recover my fund

If it's not an amount that greatly affects your day to day life, imo it's better to give up. Tracking where your money went could require a fee, and even if they managed to trace the thieves, you might need to settle matters legally which would require another fee.  Most importantly, despite any efforts, you are not guaranteed to get the result you want.

Just something to consider Smiley
1435  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do you think about the platform FYBIT.com ? on: January 26, 2022, 06:17:54 AM
The first withdrawal of 1.04215498 BTC was successful and took only 7 minutes. Your reasoning is certainly impressive, but I have nothing to do with fybit, since I have been trading since 2014 and live on trading. If they also deceive me and steal my money, as binance did, then I will find a new platform again.

Let's say I believe you.

For such a huge amount of money, it's weird that you went full speed ahead despite the red flags mentioned. Normally, people wouldn't be so laid back with such amounts e.g. "I may be wrong, time will tell", "If they also deceive me and steal my money, as binance did, then I will find a new platform again."

The more I hear, the more I become convinced...
1436  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turnover verification on: January 25, 2022, 09:29:48 PM
Hello am very happy a reply ..today also this girl call me and ask me to open another wallet and put the equivalent amount i was lost before to help me to recover my money lost they told me only deposit they need to my wallet and when i deposit the transaction lost will recover ..i want ask if they dont want scam me even i deposit my money to my own wallet with my name can she scam me?

This doesn't make sense. Recovering stolen funds is not magic. Thieves can make their tracks difficult to trace and it could involve legal matters as well therefore it's never a guaranteed thing. It's not about depositing money to some wallet and then your stolen funds will magically appear.  Where are they trying to make you deposit your coins? cause they most probably control this wallet. Having your name on it doesn't make any difference, what matters is who has the private keys. Never send them anything!!!

Did this girl perhaps tried to flirt with you? asking because romance scams have been rampant. In any case, it's easy to claim that you are this and you can do that so if they can't back their claims with sufficient evidence, it might as well be a lie.
1437  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Lost Bitcoin wallet on: January 24, 2022, 10:32:05 PM
I suspect the answer will be no.

Yes, I'm afraid their funds have been long bagged by xapo, see:

Update.
I got an email from support regarding my account.
And this is the statement:
Quote
Early last year, we were required to take action on our older, unverified accounts in order to comply with know your customer (KYC) regulations. This resulted in closing down any Xapo accounts that were identified as dormant (inactive for over 12 months), had missing mandatory information to fulfill KYC regulations, or had zero balance.
And once the account is closed, it cannot be reactivated.

@Xronin, Coinbase seems to have removed some old dormant accounts as well but I see that you have more chances when it comes to recovery compared to xapo provided that you can back your claims.

OP: Cant access my Coinbase account from 2013. Website support not helping.

I've messaged and opened a case twice. "Support" has messaged back with two seemingly automated replies being :

" It looks like you are reaching us from an email address that was deleted from your Coinbase account. For security purposes, please email us from the current email address associated with your Coinbase account. " and "As an alternative to the account recovery process, you create an account with Coinbase, please follow the directions below:"

coinbasesupport: We're currently investigating your deleted account and we will keep you updated through your ongoing support case. Thanks for your patience here.

[Meta] for further discussion, I recommend starting your own thread so it doesn't get confusing in case OP comes back.
1438  Economy / Exchanges / Re: how to search currency exchange on: January 21, 2022, 11:58:24 PM
Try your luck in https://www.reclaimcrypto.com/

They are partnered with some exchanges and can flag the address in their database. BUT keep your expectations low! we don't know how fast it's gonna take (they might not even inform you...), it could be outside their list of partnered exchange, some cases will surely get prioritized like those who lost huge amounts of money, and there's a fair chance your funds may have already been in the thief's personal non-custodial wallet or cashed out.
1439  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do you think about the platform FYBIT.com ? on: January 21, 2022, 07:36:17 PM
I can’t say for sure that this is Bitseven, but so far I have been trading with them and everything is very similar. I may be wrong, time will tell. As long as I like everything, there are no problems.

As I said before, that's a weak reasoning. Take a look at kucoin and binance for example. Although they are very similar, they are not the same company/exchange.

But I do I agree that there are/there won't be any problems for you because you are affiliated with the website which explains your unconditional love for it.
1440  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Where to report fraudulent services? (EU) Blackcatcard is a scam! on: January 21, 2022, 02:35:26 AM
Hmmm... you can try to encourage fellow victims to report as well. The more people join, the more likely to be taken seriously but I would probably still keep my expectations low.
