Ah, those were the days... cassette tape i/o, command line UI, system RAM measured in kilobytes, saving up to buy a FDD controller and drive... but we felt so cutting edge at the time... kinda like Bitcoin a few years back.

My first computer ... Robotron KC 85/3 (Made in GDR)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KC_85

Mine was a Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K. Made in the UK. Featured here in an earlier post. Still have it (complete with box, PSU and "Horizons" cassette tape). Still working (last time I checked, 30 years ago).

Mine was a Trash-80 MC-10... 4KB RAM, upgraded to 20KB.

Man, I wasn't aware of this! Funny name, Trash... (Googled it and found out why: Tandy / RAdio SHack computer).

This is GenX / Boomers material.

I remember 56k damn that thing was slow!

Not as slow as 300 baud.  Cool

Sparta grabbed the meme for $300. Will we post pictures of dial-up modems for $56k?

My first Model was a 28.8k High Speed Machine ...

Btw... Watch the movie hackers. They talk about super fast 28.8k Modems Cheesy

My first 300 baud modem didn't even connect automatically.

You had to listen for the modem at the other end and manually flip a switch.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Yet another ATH ($48481 Stamp)with an accompanying tiny correction... currently $47620USD/$60335CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Go Bitcoin go.

Mine was a 2400 bps V.42bis modem. Fun times. BBS, FTP, terminal stuff. My parents' worst nightmare (phone line occupied 24/7).

Is $50k near?

I'll tell you what: whenever Elon wants to sell me a new car for 0.1 BTC, I'll buy it Smiley

I'll tell you what: whenever Elon wants to buy 0.1 BTC from me, I may consider a new Tesla car as payment. Smiley

Please guys, no more DOGEtalk...

There are other, more important things happening...

Like, a corn PUMP (hope not for ants)!

I realized, that I only will get 4.5 btc for my car (okay, maybe 4 BTC I have to remove 20%, because it's used)... Last week it was 5... Cry

Wow, 4 BTC? What kind of car do you have?

My car is worth way under 1 BTC...  Cheesy

Bored + night time + Bitcoin stuck at $47k (are we poor?)...

Sorry OOM, I just had to do this...!

1470  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 09, 2021, 07:51:49 PM

None of them saw Bitcoin for what it really is: a revolution. They merely saw it as a means to splash out on Bentleys and holidays. Calling them amateurs is very generous...

HFSP indeed.
1471  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 09, 2021, 03:28:45 PM
A change of a few hundred USD is merely a dot in the charts... Amazing.

Just imagine when 1 BTC = $1M, a $10k change will be a dot of the same size.

Nice green dildo BTW. Ants are active today.

Mini ant-sized pumplet, just to bring us back up to ATH territory.

Will it succeed?

Never underestimate the power of ants. And Elon's.

two WO's from the East are practicing for their appearance at the $100k party.

https://youtu.be/41_d4D7T6uI

later a NOCOINER joined them but better late than never.

https://youtu.be/WgD57y4Tkng

I like throat singing, actually there are some evidence it was practiced by the old Norse.

Those 2-stringed instruments look nice. Must be easy to learn.

And what's that thing the guy on the left is holding? A brush?

With the proper tweaking, this could be the $100k party theme / prayer to Karhu.

40k € milestone near-broken in Euro-land...

I know that's not a reference exchange for the price, but it did touch 39999 EUR on Binance  Grin

Now a rather unpopular thought: will a correction overlap with Chinese New Year?

39,901.1 € on Kraken.

40k € will probably be broken today.

About Chinese New Year, I haven't got a clue as to what the effect to the market is going to be. I have a lot of Chinese friends, but only one of them is a coiner, and a hardcore HoDLer, so he doesn't follow market trends, etc. (he's very happy though—he listened to me in 2016, and bought 2.7 BTC for a total of $1100!)

Second wave of Elon cornage.

Warren Buffett said I should be earning money while I sleep.

Fuck him, I don't want to sleep!

Table looks wrong... Are we rising or falling? Helicopter should go UP!

And why is $100k pinned to the ground?  Roll Eyes

Helicopter going to SpaceX launch pad where the rocket to the moon is located.

Correct. Helicopters don't fly to where we're going... We need rockets for that!

Man, this is crazy... Won't be sleeping tonight...

Another pump / ATH...

Doesn't Elon ever sleep?

Edit: Welcome, $45k!
