That sucks man. Can you imagine the heart dropping feeling if you were to click send & see what you’d just done?
i had a very similar heart stopping moment sweeping a paper wallet many years ago. clicked, realized my mistake (failed to sweep all of it.. dont ask and this was before RBF). man till i verified the change went back to the paper wallet addy.. well.. not a good feeling. TLDR check it several times when messing with stuff. Yeah, I hear you. I remember once I was transferring some amount of BTC (double digits) and was waiting for the confirmations. It took a while. Man, that was a long wait. But it went through eventually. It's always gone through. Never lost a sat. The Bitcoin network is a model of robustness. But it won't forgive you if you make a mistake. Which is one of its powers. No safety net. No customer service/bank to call to. WE are the bank, so we'd better give it the respect it demands. HoDL.

What are your predictions for BTC to reach all time high? Usually it takes a year time to reach there after the halving but I am willing to hear your predictions What will be the ATH price this time, any idea?? 26 December 2020. $24777. Don't ask me how I know.

The BRRRR meme goes all the way back to the 1800s when Lincoln issued the greenback to help fight the civil war. It was a fiat currency, not backed by gold. #Bitcoin BTChttps://twitter.com/bradmillscan/status/1270123986412765186?s=20On the other hand let them Brrrr the machines, so BTC can go to 6-7 figures more fast as its already doing 6-7 figures of what? That is the question... 1 BTC = 1 BTC.

Funny. I can imagine AlcoHoDL doing an expressive dance towards his phone trying to get the phone to cooperate in showing the proper numbers. I need one of those too... just like my avatar suggests. That's the beauty of HoDLing. The older we get, and the longer we HoDL, the better we become, at anything! I can bet that soon we'll all be able to perform almost as good as her...

Pay off most things like mortgage and be a free man... let the rest mature further
Nothing free about having to pay taxes. New poll suggestion. Do you say yes or no to the taxman? Is it better to be a slave or a prisoner? You have a freedom of choice which taxman you pay. 80-90% is a fcuking robbery.... One of the reasons why I'm planning to move, as soon as I find a decent place. Romania is supposed to have 0-13% taxes... A word of caution: Romania is a (relatively recent) member of the European Union (EU). It hasn't yet adopted the Euro, but has committed to adopting it once it fulfills the necessary conditions. Whatever that may mean as far as taxes are concerned...

I am back in the 100 million club. May I post again? And if all of the above hasn't made you, mindrust, Reconsider, and quickly get some corn in your stash, It won't be r0aches or ants, At the seat of your pants, But the boot of a HoDLer in your stubborn fat ass! Welcome back man! I almost sold everything in early 2017, but Kraken's crappy servers saved me by failing to execute the sell order. It can happen to anyone, especially to newbies like me at the time. What's important is what you do about it. Selfishness, greed, and a red-hot temper are the wrong emotions to have when dealing with this. You just need to keep your cool, clear your mind, and do what you know is the right thing to do. Get those coins rolling in your wallet, and never ever doubt the Honey Badger...

Can someone recommend me a portfolio tracker for Smartphone (iOS or Android) ?
Blockfolio is a popular app. https://blockfolio.com/I would say the best one, but just to not let them analyze data correctly, what I do is I pick a constant as a multiplier for my account. So If I buy 2 Bitcoin, I just add 0.2 in my portfolio, for example having 10x as a multiplier which only I know. That way they won't know my real holding. I've written my own app to track my portfolio. But what if someone steals my phone/PC and finds out how much corn I own? I might have to endure a $5 wrench session, which I know I won't be able to... So, what I've done is exactly what you've done, and have also added a piece of code that detects a special, complicated gesture that only I know, which forces the app to show the correct values. So, when you run the app you get the adjusted, scaled amounts, and the special gesture reveals the true amounts. Got to protect our stash from that dreaded Kebab Accident... Keep HoDLing, and you may soon have to change that multiplier to 100x or 1000x!

And they are all made in China... Let's face it, almost all of the electronics (and many other items) we currently own are made there, and some are even designed there. BTW, the HUAWEI P30 Pro is easily the best phone out of the four. It is by far the best phone I've ever owned. Previously using Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and 4, both of them developing at least one serious issue within one year of ownership + the usual Samsung bloatware.

I don’t know if anyone remembers this game/list.....
This first sad face on this list was 27-12-2017
Now two remaining able to win the prize
-20/02/2020 romneymoney -18/12/2021 luckygenough56
The game was when we hit 24777$
Who are you guys betting on from this moment?
Surely, looks like the odds are slightly in favor of luckygenough56, but probably many of us would prefer romneymoney to win it. Looks like the split date is around 1/18/21... so romney wins if BTC reaches that price before and lucky wins if after... something like that... And The Dude will prove his deep conviction to Bitcoin by awarding the prize to luckygenough56 on 1/18/21, without having to wait when BTC reaches $24777. Because it's not a matter of if, but a matter of when, so luckygenough56 wins on 1/18/21 by default. Now, of course, I wouldn't mind if romneymoney turned out to be the winner... 2020, 2021, 2022, in the end, we are all winners. HoDL.

It's starting...
Red dot, on its way to deep blue.
$100k is a certainty. And sooner than we might expect. IMHO.

[...] we are well out of the long bear market now. The effects of the halving won’t be seen for months yet. The next big bull run is going to melt our faces off, definitely $100,000+ by 2022.
Are you ready? Are your bags full?
The train won’t wait for long!
Wondering how many new people learning about Bitcoin feel the train has already left the station, even at current >$9K prices. Broker IBKR for example recently dropped the requirement of a minimum first deposit of $10K because they were losing too much retail business. Joe Average does not have a lump sum of $10k to invest, let alone in something still considered very speculative as Bitcoin. Not being able to buy an entire bitcoin at once could discourage many from putting in any fiat at all. Think that after the next price cycle Bitcoin won’t be denominated in bitcoins anymore, as gold is generally not in kilos. It shouldn't discourage them, but it does. We tend to see Bitcoin as a train leaving, or a rocket launching to the moon, and we need to rush to get in. It's all nice and good, with CCMF memes and Carolinas when it pumps, and the dreaded Vegetas when we revisit the price that shell not be seen again. I see Bitcoin as a train, but a train that's infinitely long. One can get in any time he/she wants. There's always a wagon passing by you. Some of us have managed to take the front wagons, and will reach our destination much earlier. Other will join later, but they will still get there. Just later. I have a few friends and relatives who have followed my advice and got into the crypto space, buying some fraction of BTC. Most of them sold it soon after, and bought some altcoin(s) which are "much cheaper than BTC". That's the mistake newbies make, thinking they have to have one whole BTC. When we talk about BTC price in terms of satoshis, those people would wish they had kept the 0.1 BTC (= 10,000,000 sat) they once had...

Only just noticed your Merit Source application via a post by JSRAW in the WO thread (too busy with RL stuff lately). Merited and fully supported, of course. Hope it'll soon be approved.
No need to merit me, save it for some other post that's really worth something.

I read this name mindrust a lot, can someone remind me who that was ??
JJG perhaps??
There once was a coiner, whose name was mindrust, He posted in WO, and gained our trust. But little did he know, He would suffer a blow, When he did the unthinkable, and sold all his stash! Even r0ach would agree that this move was quite baffling, It's Bitcoin 101, you just don't sell pre-Halving. But his mind was all rusted, It was Masterluc he trusted, So he blindly followed his all-bearish rumbling! He blames COVID-19 for his panic reaction, "Armageddon is coming, I just had to take action." Now his Bitcoins are sold, He is turning to gold, In a desperate attempt to get some satisfaction. Many WO'ers advised him to buy back some corn, But he just couldn't live with the thought of being wrong. Now he hears of Bitcoin, And gets a pain in his groin, Because deep down he knows, that his chance is now gone! I know that those limericks are shitty as hell, And I know that Jimbo's shit, as everyone's, smell. I just hope that they serve, To help us all keep our nerve, And never ever give in to the pressure to sell! And if all of the above hasn't made you, mindrust, Reconsider, and quickly get some corn in your stash, It won't be r0aches or ants, At the seat of your pants, But the boot of a HoDLer kicking your stubborn fat ass!

About French cuisine, I haven't tried much, I have the (probably wrong) impression that the portions are really small and it's all about style, looks, and accompanying wine, than it is about the actual food. Reading your comment, I will certainly give it a thorough test (taste?) drive the next time we go out dining.
When I was talking about French cuisine, I was talking about Classic French Cuisine, not that disgusting aberration called Nouvelle Cuisine. ___ Your impression is bang on for Nouvelle Cuisine. It's basically a scam perpetrated by restaurants to rip off their patrons. They start with the cheapest ingredients, calling them locally-grown and seasonal, reduce or completely omit more expensive ingredients like butter, cream, foie gras, veal, etc., and then reduce preparation time to save labor costs and kitchen overhead. They don't take any care in presentation, Instead of carefully arranging foods according to shape and color, everything is piled up in a heap in the middle of the plate, leaving large areas of empty plate exposed. They may try to make up for it by quickly slapping on an inexpensive decoration or two, like a kiwi slice or a couple of un-chopped (more laziness) chives. Portions are indeed ridiculously small. Even if they were properly arranged aesthetically, they might not fill the plate. Gotta make sure you have lots of room for overpriced desserts and those aforementioned overpriced wines. It's all about maximizing profit. ___ The Classic French Cuisine I'm talking about is the cuisine of Marie-Antoine Careme and Auguste Escoffier, a time-honored tradition developed over the centuries with the emphasis on creating the finest dishes, despite higher ingredient and preparation costs. It was the food of royalty and wealthy industrialists. Quality was the number one consideration. Rich stocks were simmered from roasted veal knuckle bones with carefully selected vegetables and carefully matched herbs. Roux was cooked carefully to just the right color for the best flavor. Marinades were blended with care. Meticulous hand preparation was used to bone, stuff, glaze, and trim meats for presentation. Foods were carefully laid out with careful consideration given not only to appearance but also to aroma and temperature. Sauces were not hidden underneath the meats to try to make the small portions look bigger, but served on top of them to preserve warmth and also to distill the essential oils of the garnishes directly to the diners' noses. Garnishes were used primarily as aroma enhancers, not decorations. The foods themselves were used as decoration. Portions were large enough that dinners often took hours to eat. Needless to say this was not conducive to maximizing restaurant profits. They needed fast food, whip it up fast, get 'em in and out the door fast. Thus Nouvelle Cuisine was born. ___ 5 of the 9 great cuisines I listed had their roots in Classic French Cuisine. Nouvelle Cuisine made its debut on the maiden flight of the Concorde. How fitting. Small portions, fast preparation, short meal time. Basically it's airline food. ___ Think about the difference between traditional English and French cooking: The English boil all the flavor and nutrition out of food, throw away the flavorful, nutritious water and serve the washed out food. The French boil all the flavor and nutrition out of the food, throw away the washed out food, and add the flavorful, nutritious water to more fresh flavorful, nutritious food and serve it. Which will be more flavorful and nutritious? Wow, Jimbo, thanks so much for the information. You certainly know your stuff when it comes to culinary matters! Now I absolutely have to try a Classic French dish...

^^^ I like your optimism! We're all on that train, but I'd like to think that we may need a more powerful vehicle to reach our destination. Like this, perhaps: [Wernher Von Braun pictured next to the F-1 engines of the Saturn V rocket.]

I consider Italian cuisine as the best tasting food in the world.
Second best (for me) is Middle Eastern cuisine.
On the other side of the scale, the absolute worst has got to be English cuisine. Italian food is OK and certainly much better than English, German or most American, but I wouldn't rank it near the top. IMHO, it can't hold a candle to French (the best food in the world), Hungarian, Thai, Mexican, Greek, Middle Eastern, Vietnamese, or even some regional North American cuisines like Cajun or Quebecois. To each their own, I suppose. Seeing your list of cuisines, I've got to agree on Greek, Middle Eastern and Mexican being top choices. It also depends on your mood (hot 'n' spicy vs. more mild tastes). I only tried the goulash dish when I spent a day in Prague a couple of years ago, which was delicious. I also like some (just a few) of the Chinese dishes. About French cuisine, I haven't tried much, I have the (probably wrong) impression that the portions are really small and it's all about style, looks, and accompanying wine, than it is about the actual food. Reading your comment, I will certainly give it a thorough test (taste?) drive the next time we go out dining. To each their own, that's true, especially when it comes to food...
