1601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Elon? on: May 09, 2021, 11:53:36 PM
Elon is a very polarizing figure. Some people really love him and some really hate him. I'm indifferent towards him. I really don't understand the cult-like adoration some people have towards him, especially from dogecoin supporters. It's weird to be so obsessed with a particular celebrity. His ego is getting really inflated by all this attention, that's why he keeps talking about dogecoin. Dogecoiners can have their weird Elon cult, I think we should not be worshipping celebrities and giving them such a big influence if we want bitcoin to remain decentralized
1602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING POLL ADDED] FURY vs JOSHUA: A Two Fight Deal Has Already Been Signed !! on: May 09, 2021, 10:47:44 PM
It's already been over a week since the final contract was supposedly sent to Tyson Fury and we have yet to hear anything. Hopefully they will interview Hearn and Fury during the broadcast of the Canelo fight so we can get some answers as to why they haven't closed the deal.

You missed the update, this fight will not happen anymore as shared by.
News being leaked is the Fury vs Joshua fight might not go ahead. Bob Arum (promoter for Fury) said it is "dead in the water".

That's why we don't talk about it anymore because we already lose the excitement of this fight, this is a big fight and the promoter would like to make huge money from this, but it seems the negotiation does goes well.

Arum said it was dead in the water because he thought it would take too long to come to an agreement with the Saudis on all of their demands. The next day Eddie Hearn, who is the one negotiating directly with the Saudis, said they would have everything agreed to by the weekend. We are getting mixed messages and the fight is not officially dead until the hosts withdraw their $150 million offer.
1603  Economy / Gambling / Re: on: May 09, 2021, 10:16:16 PM
Are we talking about the same site because I've done millions of rolls on FBC now using auto (which is actually by the way one of the fastest autos if not the fastest on my connection). Even on manual, which I do for games like Blackjack or Roulette at top speed,,, easily easily 2000 in a few hours:) Have easily seen >15 streak on roulette black/red!
It seems to me that I am well versed in the functionality of Freebitcoin, and in particular in the details of the automatic betting mode. Therefore, your comment, taken out of context, made me feel rather stupid ... I want to add that If you delved into the essence of the issue under discussion, you would understand that we are talking about Martingale, (and the incompatibility of this strategy with the automatic betting mode). I hope you are thick-skinned enough to understand that I am not criticizing you ... but I think not only I do not like phrases taken out of context

[x], [1], [2], [3] .. In case you still want to read the details of the discussion.

I don't understand why you think that martingale is incompatible with automatic betting. I've tried this strategy in the past on auto bet and lost many satoshis this way. Sometimes it takes hours to hit a bad streak and sometimes it happens in a matter of seconds.
1604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders - May 8 on: May 09, 2021, 04:21:53 AM
That was a really disappointing ending. Billy Joe was more competitive than many expected and then he abruptly quit. Apparently he suffered an eye injury and that was the reason for the stoppage.

The next opponent for Canelo should be Caleb Plant to crown an undisputed champion. Plant doesn't have a great resume so I'm not expecting very much from him but he does move around a lot and could find a way to win some rounds.
1605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Josh Taylor vs Jose Ramirez - May 22 on: May 08, 2021, 11:35:23 PM
I really look forward to watching this match. It is not very often that we see fights for an undisputed title. The last one was Loma vs. Lopez but there was some controversy because some people didn't consider the Franchise title a real world title.

This will be a really close fight in my opinion. Ramirez's fights tend to be close because he gets hit a lot but he also throws a lot of punches. Taylor had a really close fight with Regis Prograis and I consider Ramirez to be of a similar skill level as Prograis.

If someone is living in a country where you're not allowed to use Betfury how are they supposed to access their account to withdraw their money? The only thing that appears is a message that says 'gaming denied'. BFG tokens aren't even withdrawable so there is many people who just have their money trapped on the website because of these restrictions.
1608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mixing your Bitcoin might become illegal in the future on: May 08, 2021, 04:26:51 AM
I don't know if it's even necessary to ban mixers. Money laundering is already illegal and they in the US they really don't need very much evidence to charge you with this. If their intent is to keep track of how people use their money then they will just undermine your privacy by making KYC/AML laws even stricter. We are already seeing in Europe that you need to verify your identity to make online purchases.
1609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC new historic ATH exceeds 900% in just 3 months on: May 08, 2021, 02:04:42 AM
I used to own a lot of ETC but over time their developers abandoned it and we didn't see any adoption. I dumped what I had before the price got too low. Now we see it pumping but it is mostly just riding ethereum's coattails. I don't see it really gaining any traction outside of just using it for speculation. We have seen how bad it's security is after it was attacked and reorganized multiple times. It's starting to show some signs of life but it is not something I have too much confidence in. Over a long period of time it's price will go back down.
1610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many negative posts about BTC lately? on: May 08, 2021, 12:56:47 AM
I've said this before but I think a lot of the new people that are joining the Dogecoin community are not very intelligent. They just care about their bags getting pumped and have taken the fun out of dogecoin with their toxic behavior.

FUN Token Is Changing the World of iGaming. Join the Revolution.

2021 has been an amazing year for FUN Token and FreeBitco.in.

We acquired FUN and launched the Premium Membership Program powered by the token. Subsequently, FUN Token gained over 125,000 new users this year; this renewed activity even helped FUN hit a three-year high of $0.068.

And we want to go even further.

Our vision for FUN Token involves developing it into a token that would help bring decentralized gaming to the mainstream. We’ve developed a roadmap of our plans for FUN Token over the coming year, and we’d like you to take a look:

~snip

This is a very interesting roadmap. Now we are seeing FUN pumping again because of this. My tokens are now worth almost a million sats.

I hope these are not just empty promises. We have seen other casinos which were supposedly decentralized but then they started implementing KYC and blocking people based on country of residence.
1612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: May 07, 2021, 02:29:49 AM
Is this fight confirmed? Jake Paul has created much hype for this only from the hat incident that would make Conor McGregor appear like an amatuer hypemaker hehehe. This fight must be organized now. The pay per view revenue will be more sizeable than many other fighting events.

This brawl could have just been staged in order to set up Floyd vs. Jake Paul after Floyd beats his brother Logan. They are just building the storyline with these kinds of stunts. It makes the sport look like a circus but they are getting a lot of attention from it.

A Floyd vs. Jake fight would probably do great numbers. Jake will try to avenge his brother and now there is some bad blood because of the altercation.
1613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is good. It’s hard to persuade parents to invest in it. on: May 07, 2021, 01:53:06 AM
Bitcoin is easier to understand so you might want to start there instead of altcoins. Digital gold is easier to explain than smart contracts, defi, and NFT's. Then you can use bitcoin as a gateway to introduce them to other cryptocurrencies.

BNB and ETH are relatively safe investments but we have also seen ETH lose more than 50% of it's value during long bear cycles. This kind of volatility might make them hesitant to invest in any cryptocurrency.
1614  Other / Off-topic / Re: GOTCHA HAT aka Jake Paul! on: May 07, 2021, 01:12:59 AM
This press conference was a shit show. That's what the Paul brothers are known for. They are certainly making this event bigger than it should have been with all their stupid antics. Floyd isn't going to get charged because Jake isn't going to press charges. He got the publicity he wanted and that should be enough for him.

1616  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction fees: send or wait on: May 06, 2021, 03:24:22 AM
It should get confirmed in the week-end.

And if it doesn't and you can import the seed/keys to Electrum (sorry, I'm not familiar with Zap), you can increase fee, since it has RBF enabled (just then it will become another transaction, which may matter or not)

There doesn't seem to be anyway to export privkeys from Zap wallets.  Zap also doesn't allow you to spend unconfirmed TX's (and you can't cancel a TX already in play).

I appreciate your estimate that the TX will clear by the week-end.  Hopefully you are right.

I have not tried this before but I think you should be able to export you Zap wallet keys to Electrum using this guide.

1617  Other / Politics & Society / Re: RELIGION IT'S POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE IMPACT ON SOCIETY on: May 06, 2021, 03:07:28 AM
I used to be religious when I was younger. As I grew older I saw people who use religion to justify discrimination of certain groups. I think many Christians are hypocrites and pick and choose which aspects of the Bible they want to follow. There is also something strange about worshipping a being who you cannot see and who cannot talk to you. Religion has held us back in many ways. There are some things which are not considered morally acceptable but they don't harm any third parties and there is no logical reason why we can't do these things.
1618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOGECOIN (DOGE) is only HYPE! Better to leave before the BUBBLE BURST on: May 06, 2021, 12:50:08 AM
I think the bubble will eventually burst also. Most of the new people buying into the hype are really misinformed and acting irrationally. They are getting their investment advice from TikTok influencers who want to dump their bags on them. None of the celebrities that are promoting this coin can give you a good reason for why you should invest in Doge. They just like the meme and don't care whether it has good security or if any developers are actively working on it.

At the end of the day Doge is just a copy of Bitcoin and not a very good copy. I would rather be holding the original instead of a shitty fork.

i dont know if i am doing this right . is this a native segwit adress bc1qp59sht2cej4eeczm6mvsvnqc2ck89nfjs6jqrf  ?can i use this safely in the withrow tab? otherwise i will use the segwit one. i know i have done transactions on that one. i am only asking couse supposedly transactions are cheaper on the native segwit

Yes, it's a native sewgit address. You can use it for slow and instant withdrawals.

Also still a long way to go; I am at 42 %  Wink. Bought some tokens when they were 60 satoshi and sold these with a profit of 3000 satoshis  Grin.
Not a major profit offcourse, but happy with it.

If I sold all my tokens today I would make a profit of 61k sats. It would be a nice ROI but I still want to hold them to see if the premium benefits are worth it. I'm getting close to being able to exchange my reward points so it would be better for me to hold FUN and get more RP's from the WOF.
1620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manga Betting on: May 05, 2021, 04:06:06 AM
This would be a very niche thing but I don't see anything wrong with it. As long as it's just betting between friends then we really don't have to worry about manipulation of the final outcome. It would be like betting on pro wrestling. You know that the result is predetermined but only a few people know this result ahead of time.
