^^There is also one fight that we haven't talking and it's Anthony Joshua vs Jermaine Franklin. Here's the official weigh-in,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0quLYVBNMs

And the fight is ongoing right now. Joshua is boxing good in the first 3 rounds and I would say that I give him 2 rounds out of 3.

Franklin did a better job in round 3 in avoiding Joshua's power punch and it seems his chin is holding on right now.

But let's see, too early yet and maybe the phase will pick up in the later rounds.

Edit: Joshua won by UD, The scores were 118-111, 117-111 and 117-111.

I have him 118-111 in my unofficial scorecard.

@bisdak40 - it's decision win and that odds, ohh, hehehe.
1622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: April 01, 2023, 09:43:01 PM
The press conference kick off:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQxR1tzUjrM

Yeah, this is real fight, all the belts on the line and two of the best fighter in 135 lbs. Just love what the Haney's are saying on Loma though, there is respect, but we all know that when this two steps in the ring, then it's going to be war. I expect a clean fight, and their style are contrasting, Haney though still a huge favorite, Loma almost 3:1 underdog. In contrast against Davis vs Garcia, this could be the biggest fight though, in terms of the belt on the line and the legacy that either boxer is going to make, whoever wins. And it's funny though that Bill Haney is saying that the Davis vs Garcia fight is comparable to a exhibition match, hehehehe.

For Haney this is a validation for him to be the undisputed, beating Loma and cementing his legacy.

And if Loma wins, he will fulfill his dream to have all the belts, even comparing it to a Gold medal chase in the Olympics.

Glad that finally, everything that we speculated has come to fruition. All has been finalized in the contract and both agreed to the terms which we don't know as last time i've heard that Haney wants more money to agree to this fight but i think its all been settled now as they were already announcing it to the public.

It's probably just Haney trying to bargain for himself to get more money. But for sure Bob Arum knows it and most likely either talk Haney about it or just give in to the demands just like what he said during the Pacquiao vs Hatton fight wherein Hatton wanted another million and he says that he give it out of his own pocket just to make the fight (not sure if this is true though).

Yup, Haney could get the respect of the boxing community if he beats Loma fair and square while for me, even if Loma loses this one he still deserves to be in the Hall of Fame hehe. Fighter like him seldom comes in our generation so he deserves that recognition as the way he entertains the boxing community with his boxing style is exemplary.

He will definitely cemented his legacy in this fight if he won against Loma fair and square (Loma being healthy and 100% in this fight and no longer affected by the war going on in his native Ukraine). Yeah, Loma is a HOF boxer, one of the best Olympian that went and become pro and become a world champion. He has accomplished a lot in just short amount of time as a pro boxer. And his skills, we haven't seen anyone as technical as him before.
1623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 01, 2023, 11:39:47 AM
Oh well, 2 bad early picks for me, so I did the live betting on the Lakers vs T'Wolves, bet at half time when the Lakers are down by 10 points.

And it did take a lot from the Lakers to get back and make a huge run in the third quarter. AD is unstoppable in the last 6 minutes of the game although he had one bad fall and I thought that it's another season ender for him.

After that, the Lakers wake up from their misery, and it was the combination of Dennis, James, Vanderbilt, D'Lo, and Reaves.

A must win for them and they deliver.
1624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 01, 2023, 02:42:44 AM
Ouch, Anthony Davis is down again in the 3rd quarter against the Wolves. Hopefully it's not that serious, otherwise if they lost this game in the road, it could be over for the team.

They are just down though by 6 points against the Wolves, and Lebron should start now if they wanted to win if Davis is not able to come back.

Lebron just 10 points, while Davis is the leading scoring for the Lakers before that unfortunate injury.

Edit: AD is back on the floor.

What a huge comeback from the Lakers in the last two quarters to win this very important game, and even if Davis looks like to be going down again with another injury, he comes back and score crucial points for them in the fourth quarter, finishing with a high 38 points. And there are another five players who score in double digits.

I love how the Lakers put a defensive clinic in the third, they didn't allow any easy points for the T'Wolves and then they score to lose their rhythm, KAT didn't have the percentage in three point area. And it seems that Anthony Edwards is sick leading up to this game as he also scored 11 points. And it was Mike Conley with 25 points. And with this win the Lakers move up to 9th place.

Pusoy Way & Pusoy Dos

This game is like poker in terms of card combination hierarchy it just vary on the way cards being played. You can read full mechanics on this blog https://www.pinoygame.net/news/detail/18/Pusoy-Pinoy-How-to-play.html

If I remember correctly, https://swcpoker.club/ is carrying this game, but not sure though if the discontinue it already for lack of players.

For all other games, its mostly local to us and so I doubt that crypto based casinos is going to open it unless there is a huge demand for it. And not just Philippine games though, there could be other games that is local to one country and they could be also lobbying casinos to list it to no avail because again for the same reason, they needed money to developed it and so before doing it, there should be some business behind like (making money).

Here's my pick for tonight's game,

Philly vs Raptors, I already put a bet on the Raptors 6.5 early when the odds is still @1.83. But it seems it has moved a lot already, because that odd is now @1.72. Philly might win but might struggle to not cover their spread. Or at least Raptors pushing for a win for a spot in the playoff, they are in a 3 game winning streak now and on the .500 and technically they can still make it.

Hornets vs Bulls - I live the chance of the Hornets, although they are out, but they have been a solid momentum as well with their 3 game winning streak. While the Bulls is very inconsistent whether in the road or home game. Hornets 8.5 @2.01 (currently 2.20).

And most likely to bet live if I there is a good line or see which player are out or teams may have been resting them. Best of luck.
1628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin open source wallets that support replace-by-fee (RBF) on: March 30, 2023, 11:13:49 PM
I have not done this Replace by fee (RBF) but a friend of mine did it and told me that it was good and it made the transaction very fast. Really not everyone knows how to accelerate their transactions.

Just one example, you can enable it on Electrum if you wanted to have this capability in your open source wallet.

In my own understand of the whole stuff is when the person uses low transaction fee with many blocks to verify the process, then the delay of unconfirmed occurred. But if the person set high transaction fee rate, then the transaction would be faster. When the transaction is slow as it is said, the person can check the mempool to track the movement of the coins.
Op thanks you for the information.

Yeah, basically that's it, so there's a lot of benefits to enable this features on a wallet. And I guess it should be the norm for every bitcoin user. Because just like in recent months, the fees has been tremendously high, it used to be a minimum 1 sat/vByte, but due to ordinals in which the mempool has been clogged those normal fees that we are used to are stuck and many are complaining how to accelerate or bump the fee.

If they only knew this features on most of the open source wallet, then they won't have any headaches. The cons is that you will have to used more than usual fees. And looking at the mempool now, 1 sat/vByte is no longer viable for a quick confirmation.
1629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 30, 2023, 10:45:31 PM
As boxing fans and bettors, we have no choice but to wait for that moment when we can witness a unification fight. While this won't be Donaire's first time in a championship fight, we want to see him become a unified champion since Inoue is no longer in this division.

Therefore, I hope the promoters don't play games and give Donaire what he deserves, which is a big fight. His time in boxing is limited, and he deserves a chance to achieve his goals before he retires.

That's good and there will be no other good thing to have when they retired than unifying all the best in their current weight division. since Donaire still has the power and speed because he is still getting intense training, he can go and take this chance before he finally put down his gloves but before that, he should put a lot of effort to win his next fight first and think about that after he wins it. He needs to focus on this one and get into the right shape to unify all the belts and become one of the legends in this sport.

Just thinking about it makes me excited to see Donaire to be the unified champion of bantamweight division or at least fight for the unification.

I guess the first goal is to become a champion first in the bantamweight and forget about the unification. And by chance Moloney won the other belt, then obviously Donaire won't fight him and vice versa. Because that is the original plan here, Moloney vs Donaire for the WBC vacant belt. Unfortunately, Top Rank has issues with Donaire's manager to the fight is scratch off and both made a different plan. So for now, there could be no unification in the table if both fighters win the belt.

But to be real though, that requires a lot of time before Donaire even have the chance to be in that position and considering Donaire's situation, I'm afraid he can't really chase up to two fights per year just to secure those belts after defeating Santiago for the vacated belt. Needless to say, I'm not doubting him but that's the reality he's in.

That's why the best thing for Donaire is just win that belt first and then worry later. He has control if he won the vacated belt and maybe dictate the terms on when he will fight next who it is,  and the location. So he can fight once a year, or to an stretch twice if he can. He has been in this business for so long that he knows when to fight.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 30, 2023, 10:35:03 PM
Ok let's hear the opinion of Shakur Stevenson, he will have his fight at 135 lbs later and this is his take in this fight.

Quote
“Ryan don’t have the IQ, the defense. I just think Tank's IQ is better than Ryan’s for sure. You gotta make him earn everything. Ryan, it don’t look like he’s the type of fighter that’s gonna make him earn anything. It’s all gonna be given to him. Once he gets that shot, it’s over with.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/shakur-stevenson-believe-ryan-garcia-iq-beat-tank--173482

So another fighter in the books who think that the odds are correct and it should be in favor of Davis because he believes that Ryan doesn't have the ring IQ and one dimensional and he blatantly attack and says that everything that Ryan got at this point of his career is like spoon feed for him but Golden Boy. Not sure what will be Ryan's response here, (I haven't seen one), but for sure he will not take this lightly and could be very well replied through his official and verified twitter account hehehe.
1631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: March 30, 2023, 10:24:30 PM
^^ Yeah, I think he can clean up that division and won all the belts, might be good challenge for him with the likes of O'Shaquie Foster or Hector Luis Garcia (which Tank Davis beat) and Emanuel Navarrete. It's going to be a good fight for him at 130 lbs and then beat those name above. But I guess it's the right division for him to move to 135 lbs, no business for him to stay when his body is saying otherwise.

Now he is on a different weight class, no need to cut that weight that hard, and he can train as hard as anyone without thinking of foods that he will need to eat or go into his system. So good choice for him. And in this fight, it's tune up as we have seen, maybe just trying to get a feel on his power and speed so this is still a test for him, could be sparring for some, but for sure his trainer is going to look at it very closely in tapes and see how Shakur performed at Lightweight for the first time as there could be somethings that he could improved to stay with the best like Haney and Loma.
1632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | POSTPONED on: March 30, 2023, 10:12:35 PM
This is excellent news for the upcoming fight. As a fan, I don't mind the postponement as long as we have a new date for the bout. With this update, we no longer have to worry about the fight's uncertainty. The mega fight is still on, and I just hope that Inoue's power has not been affected so he can display the same ferocity in the ring that we've seen before.
I agree, injuries are probably one of the worst aspects of any sport, but at the same time they are inevitable, athletes take their bodies to the extreme so it is natural there are injuries along the process and no one was at fault for this, however it seems the recovery of Inoue will be fast enough and Fulton is willing to wait, which obviously makes the fans really happy about this as I really thought the possibility of the fight being canceled was very high.

True, we don't want to see this happened to athletes specially like Inoue who is still in his prime and already a star in his own right. Luckily, he has the same injury as like the best of the boxers, recently Canelo Alvarez also had to go to a surgery to fix the bone in his knuckles. But there could be worst injuries for a boxers like health issues that could lead them to not fight at all, or even some who suffered from mental issues too.

So there's a lot from this athletes, we think that they are super human because of Inoue's punching power, but it has a caveat, that is, the whole hand is not taking those power very lightly and sooner it's going to break. The good thing is that it's not that serious as it may seem and as I have posted the fight will go on July.
1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar Loses €1M in Casino in Just an Hour on: March 30, 2023, 09:38:30 PM
I saw this news today and went to find out if it was true or not, after all it is a bit strange that he would bet and lose 1 million that easy.
I know Neymar likes to play poker, and he probably plays with high values, but in this case it wasn't making much sense.

I found a source, but it is in Portuguese, that says that everything was just a marketing move, and the value probably wasn't Neymar's, so there was no investment on his part and no loss of money.
Source here: https://ge.globo.com/blogs/brasil-mundial-fc/post/2023/03/29/neymar-chora-ao-perder-1-milhao-de-euros-em-poquer-assista.ghtml

The funny thing in the end is that the marketing works, after all there are a lot of people commenting on this news today, and even here we are talking about hehehe.

This is also want I suspected in the beginning, maybe he is being sponsored by the casino that's why he is not bothered losing that kind of big money. Although we know that his salary is huge, still $1 million is $1 million.

Good marketing by the casino, whoever it is, we have seen a lot of sports athletes and celebrities being endorsed by casino now to bolstered their earning. And just a year ago, we are just talking about Twitch banning gambling for good. But look at where it is right now, there are still steamers, big one still doing their thing on Twitch.

And with his reactions, it made me believed that this is a sponsored stream.

According to the source, it may be Poker.
He loves Poker. But in the article, we can't see a detailed explanation about the game which make him lose $1M.

It could be poker or other games, because you can't simply lost that big amount in money in poker in short amount of time unless he goes all in with a bad card and his bluff was called by someone.
1634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk still market booster? on: March 30, 2023, 09:28:03 PM
Is Elon musk still market booster and markit crusher or markit just moving on news and Elon musk investment in Bitcoin or just published news about that

I think he exposed himself already in the BTC market as just riding the popularity of it. When he initially announced that his company Tesla is going to buy bitcoin as a reserved, obviously it was a big news to us, as the price goes up instantly. However, in 2022, in their Q2 earnings report, it was revealed that he sold 75% of their holding. And he said that they loss their investments (because of the bear market) and that Bitcoin has a negative impact on them.

And with that, we understand that it's more of a business moved for him to sell and most likely that he is just riding the bandwagon early.

So Bitcoin investors knows what's up with Elon and so we lost "trust" on this guy. Now he is not that influential to us and everything he says with Bitcoin on it is not going to affect us. He also attack Bitcoin mining and said that it is harmful to the environment which we know is very wrong in the beginning.
1635  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expectations for March?! on: March 30, 2023, 09:14:03 PM
Not that I think that happens, this month or maybe ever but absolute default as a fear is easily jet fuel for BTC and a reason why a search for alternative assets exists amongst other reasons.   BTC always to do better then I expect but this kind of ongoing failure is part of why I think.

And it's not that we wanted to have this bank run or bank crisis, we don't. But if that happened and it did we have seen the worst and there could be more in the next couple of months and governments will have to bail them out. If this happens then BTC will always be the logical choice for smart investors or even average joe like most of us here in the community.

Again, as I have been pointing out, the resistance level is $28,500. We really need to break that in order to go up next month. And I would say that we have a breakout run already and if it continues then it is bullish for now and might reclaim that level again and can close this month with green candle which is a strong bullish sign.
1636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 30, 2023, 08:39:36 PM
The Dallas Mavericks have lot's of struggles since the Kyrie Irving trade.

Before they got Kyrie, they are at the 4th spot of the Western Conference. When the trade happens and got Kyrie, many knew already that it was a fail experiment though many thought that it would be beneficial for the team especially for Luka because he will now have an all-star type of player on his team. What is the expense of the Kyrie trade? Their best defensive player in DFS, their supposed back-up point guard in Dinwiddie and some draft picks. Before the trade deadline, they are already one of the worst defensive teams around the league. After the trade? They got even worse than they are before the trade. Also add the frustration that Luka is dealing on each game, and that also affects his performance on every game.

Well, I guess there's nothing left to do but to try and enhance the team again in the next season and get some reliable players on the wings because it really seems that they can't get any spot soon and winning remaining games is just almost too impossible for the team. It's evident enough why they are losing than what they expected it to be and that's because they freed a lot of good players in the Kyrie trade. That's the gamble they did for the sake of adding an all-star caliber beside Luka Doncic.

Maybe Kyrie is not a perfect fit for a Luka tandem, just hard to dissect right now, maybe Kyrie is really trying to do his best and at some point, making such errors that is detrimental to the team and that's why Luka is very frustrated because the team should be improving as they let go some of their best players in Dinwiddie and Finnie-Smith in exchange of Kyrie. And perhaps those two had the last laugh since Mavs are no longer in a good position to enter the playoff while the Nets are into 6th place.

Durant was a monster, without a doubt, Charles should stop talking shit about him.  Grin

I’m defense of Charles, Durant is pretty sensitive and it is Chuck’s job to comment about things like that. I think when Charles goes out of his way to talk about Durant on other people’s podcasts he is probably crossing a line a little, but it is his job so I’m not surprised other people want to talk to him about this sort of thing. Durant just needs to learn to take criticism with a grain of salt. Unfortunately, when you are getting paid big bucks, part of it is because of what you have to deal with.

True, Charles will be Charles, it's that want cost him his friendship with MJ, he open his mouth and talk it real, and so if Durant can't take it, then he should be quiet. But the problem is that he will not let go of this criticism and he is going out in public to response. And the thing is that they can always go back to Charles and says shut your mouth because you don't know anything as you didn't even win a ring, hehehe.

1637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 30, 2023, 08:26:12 PM
There is another article that surface recently about Canelo and what he think of David Benavidez,

Quote
“I don't say no to any fight. But I have goals this year. Then, we'll see,” said Alvarez.

https://www.boxingscene.com/canelo-open-fighting-benavidez-david-good-performance-vs-plant--173493

So now maybe he is open for a fight with Benavidez in the future. But most likely his goal is for a rematch with Bivol and if he wins it, he might go with his mandatory now or at least the interim belt holder in Benavidez. Maybe he is now impressed with David's performance against Plant which Canelo beat already. Or what another highly anticipated fight for us fans next to settle the score with the Benavidez. So we will see, I mean David just won his fight against Caleb and should be resting by now and most likely going to watch the fight of Canelo vs Ryder as well.
1638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 30, 2023, 04:45:59 AM
^^ Congrats @LogitechMouse.

Here's my bet, it was just the start of the 1st quarter when I pulled this one, when I see Giannis shooting and missing free throws, I should have bet on the handicap, but still it's a win for them, with that odds.

The game that made me nervous is the Nets against the Rockets because it was very close till the last 5 minutes of the game when the Nets suddenly play good defense and did not allow the Rockets to score.

Phoenix vs T'Wolves, still close as well and I don't know if they can cover the spread because they were just up 6 last two minutes of the game. And in the last 18 seconds, they allow a three, cutting the lead. But in the end Booker and Chris Paul made their free throws and that's enough for them to cover.

1639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is the next altcoin season? on: March 29, 2023, 11:49:22 PM
I have decided I have too many altcoins in my portfolio and want to convert up to half of them into Bitcoin but I am waiting for the next pump like we saw in January to do this as don't want to convert while my altcoins are 20% down.
If you wait for altcoins to recover, it's the same as waiting for Bitcoin to recover. If you convert to Bitcoin, then you will get the same amount of Bitcoin as now. Because altcoins will also grow based on Bitcoin.
This is different when you convert to stablecoins. You will get different results if you convert now and you convert when the price goes up.

This is not always 100% true - I hold Quant and it pumped last October while Bitcoin was moving sideways and I should have sold then but didn't as it is one of the altcoins I believe in most and want to hold long term.

Looking back I should have took some profits though as I was over 2x at the peak of that rally in October. I am just waiting for something like this to happen again with either Quant or one of my other altcoins and when it does I will put a lot of the profits into Bitcoin.

Perhaps it's just one instance wherein it was pump due to hype or some positive news about this project. I don't have anything about it, might be really solid and I also can't say about you not wanting to sell during the pump and I hope that you have learn your lessons from that x2 increase and your possible paper profit by that time and yeah, it could be good hold. Because the altcoin season is not yet here. It might take another year or so, right after the block halving. And far as history goods this is the catalyst for a massive bull run for bitcoin, so in any case, the pump will trickle down and have a domino effect on most of the altcoins, and again who knows, maybe your Quant and others in your portfolio will have a massive increased that time so keep on holding.
1640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: March 29, 2023, 11:35:30 PM
They have the name Skill added to it but I don't see any skill can be applied on the slot to win the game, its just another round of spin so the chance matters here so its still zero skill and pure luck when it comes to slot. I think they use it to trick players by giving an extra round where the results are still going to be random and no skill to be applied with it.

Skill is something you applied based on your study to come out with the desired results I don't see it here it's still random you still have to rely on luck so where is skill comes to play here, I cannot imagine luck-based games turning into skill-based games, with players employing a consistent method to win, because luck-based games are casinos' bread and butter, will they allow that?
It's a game-changer for the casino industry and it will turn the tide against casinos, the casinos can lose their business.

I don't think that it will turn the tide against casino though, maybe yeah they will go and have this on the floor, but I don't see it as the one that can beat their system. Maybe just a small percentage of this machines are going to be allowed by them, because this skill based games are a game changer as you have said. So I will estimate that it might be just 1% or even less than that the machines that they are going to allow in their casinos. The bread and matter luck base games like Slots will continue to dominate because of how big it generate and it's one of the favorite game that everyone enjoys. And not everyone can play that skill based game too in my opinion. So it won't put any dent on their business, it's just the industry is developing something new just for gaming experiences.
