1641  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Newcomers ask for help, what should I do if I recharge the Kucoin card? on: June 29, 2021, 12:47:51 PM
There's no information about kucoin card/crypto debit card, at least from what I could find. Do you perhaps mean you bought QNT using your card? if that's the case, what does it say in your 'Order History' page?
1642  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone know of a genuinely free transaction accelerator? on: June 29, 2021, 09:09:57 AM
How do you push your transaction in viabtc OP?

If you aren't using a timer that has seconds on your side, this is the sign. This makes pushing your transaction 1-3 seconds after a new hour easier as you can properly gauge how far is the new hour from xx:59.
1643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mechanism for Retrieving lost BTC on: June 28, 2021, 03:02:31 AM
Some of the big centralized exchanges allow transferring crypto currencies including bitcoin to heirs in case of death of the account owner. The problem is that most bitcoiners don't store their coins on exchanges, they store them on their non-custodial wallets meaning that those coins will be lost forever when they passaway.

Very nice nice to know. But as you pointed out, many users don't save their coins on exchanges. But some exchanges are reputable, like Binance. Which means they can be good for holding. Does Binance has this feature?

Anything you're not fully in control of is no good for holding and that's pretty much every centralized exchanges, see https://notyourkeys.org/. You risk of getting your funds locked/sniped by hackers not to mention the slow support which has been a critical disease of every CEXs.

Actually, if you trust your fam you can just outrightly tell them about the inheritance. Tbh, I prefer trusting my fam over some strangers but i guess to each their own...
1644  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is the Beginners & Help section excluded from certain signature campaigns? on: June 27, 2021, 08:52:36 AM
On the question on why beginners help is excluded into signature campaign valid boards is on where i do think that majority of only people
who would go to that board is only noobs.

Myth.

Sure, thread starters are usually newbies but most helpers who tends to these are certainly not someone we can call 'noob'. Let's also not forget that one help thread would get more than one response.

IMO, ppl who just started tends to be more open on trying things cause they're at the peak of exploring stage, so unless we're talking about spam bot powered accounts, beginner or not is irrelevant.
1645  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BYBIT LOCKED 12 BTCS OF MINE, WHAT DO I DO? on: June 25, 2021, 09:04:35 AM
As I said above though, the good news is they have to return it to you if you cannot verify. They cannot seize it.

Source that this possibly applies to OP's case? cause bybit is doing the exact opposite which could get them sued if your claim is true.

... Please kindly reply to us with the above requirements within 5 business days. Please be noted that your account will be restricted from withdrawal until we reviewed the supporting documents.

Interesting thing I found is bybyit doesn't have the license to operate in Canada and is now being hunted by the regulators.

The regulator said Bybit is operating an unregistered crypto asset trading platform and encouraging Canadian customers to trade crypto asset products that are securities and derivatives on the platform.

I honestly would bring this up as a means of refusal/skepticism lol wouldn't hurt to try.
1646  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I am concenred about Binance reliability on: June 25, 2021, 06:52:45 AM
Are you perhaps under the idea that all CZ knows is how to flip burgers? cause the guy led a team and built an exchange from the scratch which is one of the big players now... I've read a bit too and the mcdo thing happened when he was a teenager, ofc a lot has changed since then, he studied, gained experience etc...

If there's anything to be worried, it's CZ playing 4D chess with his users.
1647  Economy / Exchanges / Re: PLEASE HELP! CEX.IO on: June 24, 2021, 05:55:06 PM
We'd like to emphasize that CEX.IO never withholds the users' funds and even if the verification cannot be completed due to AML/KYC policies, international or local regulations, etc, the customer is still always allowed to withdraw the personal assets.

That's good but I'd like to hear a further confirmation from op cause it looked like their funds were locked based from this post:

I'm just worried that they rejected my documents and may not return the funds.

If funds were indeed locked, did you make sure you weren't able to withdraw @op?

In any case, doesn't change the fact that the long ass cool down is a huge inconvenience. Because users can't use cex.io, they have to go to another exchange which depending on the situation (e.g. wants to trade fiat but verified acc is only on cex.io), could mean another KYC... not to mention it could as well lead to loss of users/activity because they might like the exchange enough to be a regular.
1648  Economy / Goods / Re: My time beleveing in bitcoin and painting this... on: June 24, 2021, 02:50:45 PM
it's for sell but for auction I let people decide of the price  Wink

You are missing a lot of information then, see this guideline on how to do a proper auction: HOW TO BUY OR SELL HERE...

The painting looks bitcoin related which I say fits more in Collectibles board. You can also look at past auction threads there for reference.
1649  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: QuicklyBTC.com scam exchange on: June 22, 2021, 09:22:34 PM
Aside from getting the member perma-banned, some servers are kind enough to publish warnings when situation like this arises as scam DMs are usually mass sent, so if you haven't, report this to your shared servers as well. Don't forget discord too, see How to Properly Report Issues to Trust & Safety

Lastly, anyone who wants to minimize scam DMs should consider tweaking their privacy settings, see Blocking & Privacy Settings
1650  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Possibly exposed email data from hacks/leaks being used to register in Coinlist? on: June 22, 2021, 07:29:14 PM
Email spoofing makes it possible for scammers to use the exact display name and email address so this may not be coinlist at all. Copy the link and paste it to URL redirect checkers (e.g. https://wheregoes.com/) to see if it redirect to something else.

Otherwise, they could be checking if you have an account there to see whether it's a brute force candidate or not. Make sure tied important accounts have strong passwords and if possible enable 2fa too. They could be doing the same thing with other websites, who knows one day they might hit a website which you have an actual account.
1651  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: minermaster.com on: June 22, 2021, 03:34:57 PM
Im interested if anyone on this thread found out more about Minermaster.com it looks like a decent product from there site and the limited videos.

and those videos have complaints about users not receiving their orders...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50VDbkgVzQM

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZPF9dTHOfM

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHatxnYGRNA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfYJ5k3PD28

These youtube vids looks paid tbh... it doesn't add up that they have lots of reviews there but barely any in other platforms.

Speaking of other platforms, same complaint in reddit

Purchased October 20, 2019. Today is January 19, 2020. Their Facebook page has been dead silent to all my inquiries, where initially they responded to my questions within 24 hours. All e-mails have gone unanswered. Item still not received...

If you're counting on paypal, they don't have it anymore

Don't trust them.
1652  Economy / Exchanges / Re: PLEASE HELP! CEX.IO on: June 20, 2021, 07:19:16 PM
I have been verified up to $ 10,000
I made a deposit much less than this limit
And I did not understand the essence of the check.

The total trading volume at certain time frames could've also played a part.

Assuming you weren't/won't be asked after this for additional documents, this could just be a re-verification, you triggered something and the exchange needs to verify it's you.

I sent the same photos as when passing the verification at the very beginning, but they refused me

Did you check your email?
1653  Economy / Goods / Re: Advices needed - Crypto & Bitcoin jewelry 💎 on: June 19, 2021, 07:03:04 PM
I have just launched the possibility to pay there with crypto currencies BTC after a customer asked me about it for his proposal ring.

I wonder if he's the first one who asked? In any case, it's always nice to see another merchant accept bitcoin as a payment method, good work and best of luck to you op!

Demand is most likely gonna be a problem and to help with that, you can spread awareness about this by: (this is ofc without breaking any rules)

1. Posting in bitcoin communities

a. Français - This is our local board for french speakers. I don't understand the language but if there is a board where service/product announcements are meant to be posted, you should post there. I'll leave it at your own discretion @op.
b. /r/Bitcoin/

2. Getting listed in search engines/list of bitcoin accepted stores

a. https://spendabit.co/
b. https://cryptwerk.com/
c. https://bitcoinwide.com/
d. https://spending-bitcoin.com/

3. Getting listed in articles about this - if you search 'list of bitcoin accepted stores' a lot of articles will come up, see if you can contact them to list your website

Wrong place to ask. I think this should be asked in “trading discussion”.

It actually doesn't fit there as it's more on stuff about trading bitcoin against crypto/currencies. I'm actually quite confused myself as this also fits in service discussion or project development, I guess I'll leave it to the mods if they decide to move this thread.
1654  Economy / Exchanges / Re: PLEASE HELP! CEX.IO on: June 19, 2021, 01:01:14 PM
Found a similar problem in reddit. It looks like having their users shoulder what they lack is how they handle the surge of users.

I have heard back about verification, stating that because of delays they will only let you submit verification documents once every 30 days, which is absolutely ludicrous

Just how busy and limited is cex.io that it has to come down to a one month cooldown... even a day or two cooldown makes a huge difference. Ngl, I am suspicious.

In any case, we have a rep from cex.io here, you can PM them to follow up your case/respond to this, see user https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=148073
They will ask you your support ticket number so to save time, make sure you include it in your PM and in your post.
1655  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius Coin 1BTC on: June 18, 2021, 03:57:07 PM
I also didn't an expert on this but based on my quick research it usually sold on the eBay market and here in Bitcointalk at the collectible section as linked above.  I don't know how much the price because you didn't show any image as an example but you can visit eBay.

Ebay is bad bad. There is pretty much no seller protection as they would often side with the buyer. Horror stories about this are all over the internet, search engine is your friend. Cryptocurrency specific items are also overpriced and is therefore not a good platform for gauging the price.

I suggest sticking in this forum @op. You can look up past threads about your casascius coin by adding "site:bitcointalk.org" when you search.
1656  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Livecoin return of deposit on: June 18, 2021, 12:35:41 PM
LMAO this will just add more taint to their name. Imagine a barrage of newly created accounts posting the same thing... it won't take a genius to tell that something is wrong.

Thanks for sharing this op!
1657  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binomo and cryptocurrency on: June 18, 2021, 08:14:19 AM
As with Binomo, it has claimed to have been operating for years in more than a hundred countries and is a member of the International Financial Commission (IFC). But there are way too many complaints and accusations of different kinds against it from those who have first-hand experiences with the platform.

FinaCom membership doesn't mean much. It's only for resolving disputes in case settling with the exchange doesn't work out and definitely isn't meant as a regulatory body which these shady off shore businesses make them appear to be

In addition, given their circumstances, I have doubts they would be able to stay neutral at all times. One is they're not affiliated nor regulated in any jurisdiction (note that this is useless if the country has lax laws). Second is, it's pretty much a business whose earnings come from the exchanges who pays for their membership.
1658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance Tax Reporting on: June 17, 2021, 04:35:12 PM
I made google search about the Kazakstan cryptocurrency taxation system, but I don't find still they passed the proposed bill from 2019, so all your trading earnings will come under the personal income tax rate and also there is no tax for crypto to crypto trades, so you have to report only when you cash out into fiat.

Any source they have passed it? Cause I could only find this: Kazakhstan will only tax cryptos once they are sold for fiat, that has a misleading headline as it's actually about the bill under review which means it isn't effective yet.

If I were you op, I'd follow joniboini's advice and get a tax consultant even if you have to pay for it. Taxes can be mind boggling and one mistake could lead to penalties in which you'll be paying more.

Side note: I suggest doing these to get a better set of answers
1. Move this to Legal
2. Change the thread title to something like Taxation in Kazakhstan
1659  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bustafish is a total scam | Unauthorized use for bab source on: June 17, 2021, 11:37:14 AM
Hi , I am Bustafish.com owner, while browsing the name Bustafish on google, I felled right on this topic.

4. Fraudulent sites that are unauthorized to use the bustabit name and brand, making false
representations about their relationship to bustabit and/or plagiarizing bustabit's website Using the start of a domain *bust on crash game is not allowed
IS https://bustafish.com there ?
YES, since I don't care if, i use *busta at beginning of my domain name so people recognize the game faster.

Which doesn't make the situation any less worse

The said brand is their intellectual property so using it without permission counts as theft... and being bold about it just makes it worse.
1660  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius Coin 1BTC on: June 17, 2021, 03:40:40 AM
What would the the average price be for this coin in BTC?

Would help if you can post what type do you have and its condition.

Is it worth putting it into a crypto exchange and earn interest on that, or should I keep it closed?

You risk of getting your funds locked/getting asked to KYC which is usually a total nightmare for reasons:

1. Support works at a very slow pace
2. KYC could be over the top which means your ID and proof of address may not be enough;
3. Complying doesn't mean you'll get your funds back, it is still within their discretion
4. No way to verify if they actually have set effective precautionary measures from hacking.

Holding where you have full control of your coins would be a better option if you're looking to increase its value over time but this is of course if you believe in bitcoin.

PS: you can move this to Collectibles to get a better set of response
