I spent 20 years being angry.
I hope not over one thing... That's a long time to hold a grudge. Yes, something very unfair and difficult. I was wronged. The lesson, though, is that my own anger also poisoned me. I'm angry all the time. A lot of people in their 30's and 40's believe it or not still live at home with mommy still washing their underwear and making them dinner. Those are the ones you see on here mouthing off, caps lock on, have no idea what they are talking about, can't spell a word even using a spell check. Those are the guys that have nothing to worry about. No bills to pay, no real stress in life. The biggest thing they have to worry about it is when is mom going to feed them. They're too scared or too cheap to even get their own place and have their own life. These type of people have no reason at all to be angry with anyone. I moved out of mommy's nest at the age of 18. And since I'm not financially rich I've seen just about every bad end of the stick you can think of. Everything is an uphill battle. There is always someone saying no, you can't do that, you will have to wait, it can't be done, denied, whatever. When you actually live life a little the anger can set in and start to be a poison. I've been angry for a while now and probably was much more angry years ago but have gotten much better. I basically just don't think about it and move my thoughts forward. And to think people on here can make me angry or disturb me with posts and verbal words is just funny. It will take a lot more then a message forum to even start me to begin thinking about getting angry even the slightest bit. When I speak with someone for a little bit or read what they have to say a few times it is quite easy for me to tell if they have even begun to live life a little. Anyone that has this experience under their belt knows what I'm talking about. If you are scratching your head, wondering what I'm saying or thinking of a smart ass comment or dig then you just haven't experienced "life" enough yet to get it. Not sure why I even wrote this, but I'm glad to hear you released that poison. How did you do it? Self medicate? Therapy? All on your own? Hey, just curious.

Another check arrived Now 5-for-5 on flawless sales. Keep up the good work. I've transferred many times right to my bank via ACH and has always worked out great. Sorry if I'm prying, I'm just curious, why are you requesting a check when you can DD via ACH? Privacy?

Hi btctrada,
I've had a look at your screenshots - replied by email.
Ever get back to my issue or check out the screen shots I sent you?

And someone's Facebook page? 3/4 of the worlds population has one. No one is going to listen to an account that was created two days ago throwing up links to Facebook accounts.

Sorry bud, no ASIC here's I guess you forgot to mention it was an FPGA chip. That's right, only half truths here on the forums. opentoe, you are an absolute moron. From the thread linked above: My friend and his co-worker have been putting together their own ASIC miners.
And on here you say it's FPGA, and get onto people for quoting you correctly. What an asshat liar you are. Good day. You are an idiot. You have no idea what you are talking about. Seriously, what are you even saying?

I am building a homebrew FPGA miner. I know after ASICs this won't be a big deal but, hey I've really discovered FPGA's just soon after disovering Bitcoin and it would be nice to tinker with it and they don't cost much. I've seen couple of people pushing around 400 Mhash/s from XILINX based boards costing under $200. Be smart, do it right and you may end up deciding you want to build an ASIC miner also. You may even have a very good chance of beating BFL to the punch.

Now that AVALON is shipping.... I guess BFL needs to start preordering through AVALON! The money I got back from my BFL refund I may just buy an Avalon batch#3 if it is not too long away. Considering I will receive that Avalon months before my BFL order.

Hey why not. I've already canceled my BFL orders so I have nothing to lose now. The only way I would want one now is if I would be first in line. Anything after that is just not worth it.

I have a small question. Is there a way to include the date/time on the order history page or even within the order itself?

I have a problem with Multibit. Right now I have exactly 37.41 btc in my Multibit wallet. I'll subtract the transaction fee of 0.01 and that will come to 37.1. And yet when I still go to send that amount it tells me I do not have the available funds. This has happened to me before several times. How am I supposed to know what I can and cannot send if the program is not even letting me send the exact amounts? Here is the screen shot of what I am talking about. You can clearly see the amount in the wallet and the amount I'm trying to send. It all works out, but Multibit has it's own way of thinking or something here? Please help me with this as it happens all the time and I can never clear out my wallet, EVER. 37.39 + 0.01 = 37.4 So there actually is .01 left in the wallet according to the math, but it still won't let me send it out? ?

opentoe: this an Actel ProASIC3 chip. And despite the marketing name, this is an FPGA, not an ASIC (so I was right, again): http://www.actel.com/products/pa3/default.aspx Based on the VQFP-100 package it has got to be an A3P030, A3P060, A3P125, or A3P250. It is absolutely not made specifically for Bitcoin mining. There is no way whatsoever that this generic 130nm FPGA beats the power efficiency of the 40nm Arria II FPGA (BFL Mini Rig) or 45nm Spartan6 FPGA (in pretty much all other Bitcoin miners). Sorry for the false accusation of attempting to scam. It turns out you were merely ignorant of what hardware type you had. As I said, I was merely the middleman trying to give a helping hand to my friend. I've already said I have no idea on what the chips are or anything about them, but I do appreciate the fact that you guys do know what they are. I'll break the bad news to my friends and tell them their little ASIC mining project is over. Thank you guys for letting me know what the chip is. That's why I went to this forum first, I knew some people here are so damn smart technically they would know exactly what that board was. Thanks again!

Thanks for the replies.
TC, I emailed you about this but sometimes you respond quicker here. Order# 18365. Can you "push" that through or refund me back to the address I put in refund spot? Everytime I go to send you an exact amount .03 or some very small amount gets tacked on AFTER I know what it will be then I don't have enough to send. I was .03 short and couldn't get the .03 to send. Thanks! Fixed. The site allows setting orders by either amount to sell or amount to receive. I believe there is a bug in the logic and in some cases is incorrectly trying to keep the receive amount constant instead of the sell amount when there is a price change. To avoid an attack by stale dating the selling price is pulled fresh at the time the order is placed this can result in a small change to either the amount received or amount sold. I will take a look at a solution this weekend. If you ever create a sales order and it is incorrect you can always just create a new one. Ok, good to know. Thanks for fixing it!

It seems these are the only two players in the ASIC market at the moment... That being said, which one do you think will ship new orders first?
I'm considering getting one of these, but not sure which might actually get here in a sane ammount of time.. BFL says new orders will ship in June, but with them missing so many self-imposed dealines already, I'm considering going with avalon...
Comments? Thoughts? Open to all input...
Thanks
Avalon has already shipped. They have working units in the field at customer's homes right now. BFL is still in the paperwork phase I think and no one will see anything until winter holidays. At least 6 months.

I'm going to order an Avalon just because I'm thinking those will be out before my BFL order. I think my friends will do the same, but they will also request refunds from BFL. I think there is a trade law that if a company cannot produce something in 90 days they HAVE to by law refund money. Not even ask the customer, they are supposed to just do it with no questions or comments.
I hope the Avalon's go up for sale soon. As least they have working units in the wild, mining away.

Most likely by what's been going on there will most likely be another one or two ASIC building companies around that will beat BFL into customer's hands. And by that time with all of Avalon units already delivered god only knows what the difficulty will be. We all know the BTC price isn't going to stay in the 40's for a very long time...it can't right? Once that drops it very well could take 2 full years to get your money back from one SC. 24 months to break even to me is not far fetched for a BFL unit, right?

Just because it is an "ASIC", does NOT mean it is a "bitcoin ASIC". As someone pointed out earlier, a GPU is a type of ASIC. Yes, it can be programmed to mine bitcoins, but that was not its original purpose. Given any random "ASIC" it may or (more likely) may NOT be able to effectively mine bitcoins.
Let's see a photo!
Yea, I hear you on that. I truly hope that it is made to mine away. I'll admit, I know ZERO (0) on what the chip is, or anything hardware at all. I'll be taking some photos tonight and putting them up here. Charging my camera battery right now. It is an old Nikon D70 so I barely use it and the battery was dead. Sorry. Give me a couple of hours or less. This was the best I could get right now. This is one of many boards that will be put together I'm guessing. I was told this is about 5 GH/s. It is a very small board.

We are just a few tech guys that wanted to give this a try and are stuck at the programming/interface portion here.
Oh, so now you are one of the founders, and a tech guy at it? Strange, because you claimed to be a bystander having no clue what your friends were up to just a few posts ago... I'm not involved in this in anyway besides helping my friend find someone to help with the programming, that is it. I'm the middle man right now. Just taking what they have, trying to find someone to help if even possible and that's it. Man, you guys are paranoid as hell on here.
