1901  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Win c.$50 on Free Lottery#1 JollyGood-Ratimov-Utopia: Fury vs Usyk on: April 07, 2023, 09:30:56 AM
As has been well documented in the media, talks have broken down between the Fury and Usyk teams to get this fight confirmed. Like many of you, I would liked to have seen a unification fight between Fury and Usyk but that might never happen now.

Now that we are sure the fight is not going ahead I have had to unfortunately lock this thread. If in future the fight between Fury and Usyk does take place, I will re-run the lottery making all 58 tickets available again and by making all entries in this thread null and void.

I would like to thank Ratimov for offering to pay $25 towards the prize fund after the winner was to be announced and I would also like to thank Utopia.

For those interested, there is a $50 prize available in another competition here which closes on 22nd April 2023 therefore you have plenty of time to enter:

1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: April 07, 2023, 09:17:57 AM
Wallin gave Fury huge problems when they fought and lost on what many deem to be a dubious points decision but nevertheless Fury was the winner. I think Wallin spoke the truth and many agree with him. Joshua simply cannot get the physical and mental side of his boxing to balance when he fights ever since Ruiz destroyed him with that devastating win.

I cannot work out why Joshua feels pressure, it is not as though he is the greatest heavyweight ever. He is an average boxer with average technical skills. I do remember his once saying he wanted to earn a billion from boxing but that was when he was world champion. Even a blockbuster unification with Fury would not have given him more than maybe $70-$80 million from the fight purse but could the fact that he knows his retirement is near (and his opportunities for pocketing millions are diminishing) playing a part in his mental ability when fights?

Otto Wallin put in perfectly in this tweet,

Quote

@OttoWallin
Joshua is not the same guy anymore. His head is gone and the stuff after the fight shows it even more. He’s feeling too much pressure

1904  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ultimate Bitcoin Privacy - Discussion on: April 07, 2023, 09:03:07 AM
Yes you have been open and transparent about Whirlwind and your posts demonstrate it. I think that is what people here appreciate when a team member or owner interacts with them in a transparent manner taking the time to provide explanations and answer questions no matter how difficult to explain or articulate.

As you stated, members only have your word to go by but the reviews and feedback of the website are positive and as your service progresses members will begin to make their own judgements in increasing numbers about the service and quality of service you provide. I tested the service and posted my review, it is a very simple service to use.

As for mixers seemingly launching on a daily basis, I have to say I cannot recall a time here when this many were being promoted via signature campaigns or a time when this many were using ANN threads frequently. It does provide competition for each other but if you have created something unique from your competitors from a technical perspective then they will have to play catch up.

After a quick navigation of the website anybody can see it is simple to use and the Fast or Notes options are extremely easy to select. It is a basic no-nonsense to the point website that is easy to navigate and that is a plus for end users and that should play a very important part as your business grows.

Having said that one of the fears people must have is about sending funds to mixers at the unfortunate time the mixer decides to exit scam (and to my knowledge it does happen from to time because people end up posting about getting scammed). Keeping that in mind this would be a very difficult question to answer but what can you say here and now to give confidence to forum members that a future exit scam is the furthest thing from your mind and what your very long term strategy is?
It's impossible to answer this question in a way that would have any sort of weight and I don't want to appear like I'm asking users to trust me just because I'm writing some messages here. My expertise/intentions will become clear from my actions as time goes on and that's the only way I can prove myself other than decentralizing the service.

I've been very transparent about every detail of Whirlwind, I've built everything from the ground up. I took the time to analyze every aspect of this business and I believe I came up with something unique in the Bitcoin space, something that our competitors don't even come close to from a technical standpoint.

It seems like a different mixer launches every day, but if you have a more in-depth look you will notice that each one of them has some major issues.
Use of [banned mixer] as their backend/very weak privacy set/ use of Cloudflare/ use of mixing codes which basically means keeping logs.

Even though I could have taken a lot of shortcuts in order to get the service out in 10x less time,  I chose to do everything the right way and made no compromises at all.

I have no idea how I managed to overlook this when I tested the Whirlwind website for my review.

There is no mention of this in the changelog so was that feature always there from day one since the Whirlwind website went live? I cannot understand how I missed that part of the functionality where multiple withdrawals of varying amounts can be made from a single Note. This was one of two recommendations I made in my review but it was there and somehow I missed it during my testing for my review.

Also a few other things I've seen on the forum that I want to address, I will make it clear on the website too when I update the FAQ:

-You can withdraw as many times as you want from a single Note, you don't have to spend its whole balance at once.

----------------------------------------------------

As much as already been reviewed and though I have not read them all, I have read some of the reviews in some parts therefore would not want to reiterate the functionality side of things as that has been covered extensively in the reviews here. I would like to review my overall experience and views after touching on the two types of options to mix on Whirlwind.

FAST
This was a simple process. I entered the withdrawal address and chose to receive the amount within zero hours. As expected, I received the funds in under 60 minutes.

NOTE
After the amount was sent I withdrew the Note and chose to receive the amount within zero hours, which they did.

OVERALL VIEWS
I used the service twice (once with Fast and once with Note options) with the minimum 0.001 BTC sent on both occasions. I also used the lowest 0.25% fee on both occasions.

This is an easy to navigate website, there is very little going on with regards to excessive hyperlinks and focus is mainly on the core aspect of the business (which is mixing). The letter of guarantee is made available to download. When sending funds, two confirmations are required before any mixing takes place.

The captcha is an essential part of stopping spam and bots flooding the website, I did not find this one a problem with the 5 characters but during one test of refreshing I am fairly sure I entered the characters correctly but it took four attempts before I finally was allowed to proceed. Not sure what happened there but most probably my error rather than software or configuration issues.

After I withdrew the funds, I tried to go back and try again to withdraw and already withdrawn amount (for testing purposes only and not with the intention of scamming) and the pop-up alerts with a notice can be seen in the images above.

One thing that I noticed was after the withdrawal takes place, it shows Balance After Withdraw 0.00000001 BTC which gives the impression that the end user is owed 0.00000001 BTC (when that amount will be taken for the transaction fee) and it caused a little confusion. A quick attempt trying to withdraw again will show the pop-up alert above.

For the sake of testing functionality for this review, I should have withdrawn to several addresses but opted for one. Also, for both transactions I used Tor browser and found no issues with the settings on the strictest level.

Maybe I will revisit this review and update it if/when I re-test the Whirlwind service with multiple address withdrawals and by using clearnet. My review took place some time back but I posted the images and review just now when I had ample time.

POSSIBLE FUNCTIONALITY TO CONSIDER
Possible improvements or nice-to-haves would include a system where a withdrawal Note can be used to withdraw a percentage of the full associated amount. Technically, it might not be too difficult to have a superseded letter of guarantee to accommodate the disparities between the deposited amount and withdrawn amounts but the Whirlwind owner will know if this is possible (or even feasible) or not.

It could also be useful for a user that has deposited funds at Whirlwind to enter the Note and then have an option to generate a second Note or several Notes for an amount from their balance which could then either be used to withdraw another time or to provide to someone else for example in the form of payment for goods or service or trade. If there is a demand for this sort of service it might be something for the Whirlwind owner to consider implementing one day.

Earlier, the website on Tor was accessible but the clearnet came back with this:

Considering the recent situation with Chipmixer, I think this is definitely a valid question.

Rather than asking a few questions about user privacy, I will ask another kind of question.

What preventative measures have you taken to protect yourself from arrest and federal government seizure of website assets (i.e: how do you plan to avoid Cipmixer's fate)?
1916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: April 02, 2023, 08:20:11 PM
I was never impressed with Anthony Joshua but it was expected for him to win this fight against Franklin, I even predicted it would be win with points as unanimous decision, and I won reward from Sportsbet Smiley
What is more exciting for me is potential fight between Joshua and Tyson Fury, and I want Fury to finally kick his ass and shut his mouth.
Fury is better in all areas except is body figure, but that brings zero points in boxing, maybe Joshua should do some modeling  Grin
At the way Joshua is fighting he does not deserve to share a ring with Fury, it is that simple.

Oleksandr Usyk already defeated Anthony Joshua twice and now that match up is over as there wont be a rubber match with two looses and Tyson Fury is the best boxer in this generation and Joshua will not stand a chance against him, the other opponents for Anthony Joshua that would create interest is Deontay Wilder and it will be a great fight for the fans and their future.
Usyk has nothing to prove because he defeated Joshua twice, they will never fight again. As for Fury (regardless of why his fight with Joshua never happened) he will never give Joshua an opportunity to fight him now. The best Joshua can hope for is to try to get a fight with Whyte, Wilder or Joyce. For me, Wilder will knock him out. As for Joyce and Whyte, I think Joshua  will struggle to beat either of them.

I watched the fight on my iPhone on a crappy stream. I expected more from Joshua to be honest, I know he won, he was the better fighter in most rounds but I expected a more explosive performance. He’s going to have to be much, much better if he’s even thinking about fighting Fury or even trying to get a 3rd Usyk fight.
Believe me, even you watched the fight in HD you would not be missing much  Grin

Joshua seems way past his best and in my opinion his best was simply just about good enough to beat a 41 year old Klitschko when Joshua himself was just 27 years old.
1917  Economy / Reputation / Re: How wide reaching can the consequences of Chipmixer money laundering be? on: April 02, 2023, 03:47:28 PM
I am confused, you stated the was up to that point very little risk for regular users at the same time as you said there were protective measures for theymos and staff (and the forum by default). Can you elaborate on the differentiation you stated between them?
I already wrote to you that you should be able to read between the lines so that some things would be clearer to you.
No harm in seeking clarification because I was unable to read between the lines  Smiley

There with mixers, we don't know with which violence the arm of the justice will strike. Because it will strike one day.
As with drugs, those who have used a mixer for a small amount of money or who have displayed a signature here should not be worried (*). But, again, if the justice wants to be zealous, Bitcointalk as an entity can be considered as part of the network and the forum can be closed. This is the kind of thing, I think, Theymos wants to protect against.

(*) Not a legal advice Smiley
I understand your opinion, thank you Halab for elaborating.

I think the general consensus here has to be that promoting mixers does not by default mean anything wrong is happening. Most people require some degree of privacy to to attempt to anonymise their BTC (such as signature campaign participants or lenders), however but some of the service providers could face having some of their services misused for criminal activity including money laundering.

The fact that all mixers are promising to provide an anonymous service means it could be targeted by criminals for nefarious purposes. Having said that, if any law enforcement agency stated they deemed mixers to be illegal it would change the equation very fast because the forum would ban their campaigns and probably their forum representative accounts too. On top of that forum members would not be wearing their brands in avatars or signatures.
1918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: April 02, 2023, 02:12:55 PM
In a nutshell, based on your previous post do you think the Liverpool owners should sell and allow someone else to come in and fund a new direction and at the same time do you think Chelsea should sack Potter and bring in a new manager? Would both of these scenarios turn around the fortunes of the clubs?

FSG was only interested in third-party investment and was only willing to give out 50% I believe they took the entire thing off the market when they didn't get any offers and those who were interested in buying wanted 100% ownership Io hope now that owners will throw more coins to the club now that they have refused to sell. The problem with Liverpool is more about ownership's poor investment plan for the club, whereas the problem with Chelsea is more about management.

New ownership is needed asap.
The owners at Liverpool have taken the club off the market and have decided to not sell. As far as I know they have not yet made it known how they plan to make new finance available for strengthening the squad but they have made it clear they will not sell. Maybe Klopp and the current owners will buy clever in the summer transfer window and will re-emerge as a force for next season.
1920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: April 02, 2023, 09:58:52 AM
I am quite disappointed with Joshua, he was never the most talented or the best but he always found a way to win until Ruiz knocked him out. After that defeat he was never the same again even though he won on points in the rematch. When was the last last time Joshua won by KO rather than TKO? A quick search shows just 5 KOs over his 28 career fight record.

Can we all admit he simply is not good enough to be taken seriously as a world champion contender?

Not impressive at all compared to Wilder's comeback fight that establish him right away as a big contender with that devastating first-round knockout of Helenius, I just watched half of the fight and was looking for Joshua to knock out Franklin but it never came, but it still a good win somehow it will get his motivation back that he still got it.
Hearns can make the Fury - Joshua fight this is the best time to do it, although Fury has the upper hand and edge still the world, and the British fans want to see both of them inside the ring.
Let's see in the coming months who he will fight he needs to fight top-ranked fighters and that includes Wilder.
