Stuff like this is good for us on the right IMO because it does a lot to wake up the masses of centrists and bring them to our side.
People that otherwise pay little attention to politics, or are borderline, see things like this and it redpills them to what is really happening.
Just like the buzzfeed fake news the other day that BTFO the media they step right up to the plate to be BTFO again over these kids..

I have been following this story the entire time. Another aspect of this story is the injun feller's military history.
At first he was supposedly a Vietnam Vet "Recon Ranger" but now some stolen valor guys have picked up on the story and set the record straight.
His military records show that he never served abroad, was only ever a private, was a refrigerator repairman, went AWOL 3 times, etc.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIXIzvyAlLA

The more mistakes like this the liberal media make like this the better to get more people to understand what is happening and it also exposes a lot of enemies..
Google search "covington violent tweets" and look at all of the violent and threatening tweets posted by many including media employees such as..

A disney producer.. Media..

I also think this is amusing, fitting, and chilling..

FACECRIME
Their are so many similarities to the classic "1984" these days it really makes you think..
2042  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The First Seastead is in the water on: January 23, 2019, 07:35:47 PM
The difference from a boat is the sovereignty part.

That is what I figured..
As far as I know, from very limited research, every boat has to be registered to some country. I guess your "seastead" somehow gets around this because it is "not a boat"?
Can you explain some about how that works?

So if your seastead is sovereign doesn't that make it a country like that oil platform country?
Does this give your country your 12 mile and other zones of sea around your country that your seastead country controls?

Do you get your zones like those?
Hypothetically, could you move your seastead next to an active oil platform that is in unclaimed international waters, to put it into your exclusive economical zone, and then tax the shit out of that oil company? lol

Could I register my sailboat to your seastead, or, could I buy my own seastead and register my own sailboat to my own seastead country and therefore have a sovereign sailboat while it is outside the zone of any other country?
2043  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think traps are gay? on: January 23, 2019, 07:16:37 PM
a women has a penis
Doesn't exist..

Do you consider that gay since its a girl though ?
It's not a girl. It's a queer man with a fetish that may or may not be confused to the point of insanity depending on whether or not they actually believe they are some sort of magical gender shapeshifter..
2044  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Ethical Dilemma] What would you do? on: January 22, 2019, 09:05:21 PM
Also I feel that all of the "donate to charity" options are unethical simply on principle: either the user is entitled to keep the money, or he is not. If he is not entitled to keep the money, he is not entitled to donate it, either. Donating the money serves no purpose except to make stealing from a scammer seem less unconscionable than it is.
That is correct. User should either keep the money or return it.

If the user is entitled to keep the money then couldn't he keep it and then donate it if he wanted to?

This is sounding to me like we are hypothetically talking about a proven scammer, not just alleged, and these funds were sent in the commission of a scam, and the contractor user did do the work but basically had to pull it due to finding out it was a scam.

Actually this whole thread is bullshit because we don't have any of the facts and this is all just hypothetical without even the clearest hypothetical events to go by.

None of the opinions in this thread should be applied to any specific situation until all of the facts of the actual situation are laid out for all to see..
2045  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Ethical Dilemma] What would you do? on: January 22, 2019, 07:27:34 PM
basically the aTriz situation but not carrying on with the project right?
No, absolutely not.
Working for a project that turns out to be a scam, but this was caught in the very early stages and was immediately stopped.

Was the payment solely for creating and maintaining this thread or were other funds included earmarked for any other service
Creating, posting and keeping it open for a while (which essentially requires no work to do). No maintaining of any kind, nor any other service of any kind.

Did anyone else get scammed
Nobody got scammed
So it should be a small amount of coin for a small amount of effort and only between the would-be scammer and the thread-maker-guy.

I can see doing BBcode work for someone but why would you post their thread for them and put your name on it? This was done before copper memberships were available to post pics and links but now that is solved.
I guess if you don't mind your name being front and center on some random "project" for no good reason ("No maintaining of any kind, nor any other service of any kind") have at it, but not me..

How much for the service already rendered and how much is the remainder/overage? Is it substantial?
What does this even mean?
you could argue that 100% of the work has been done.
It was unclear to me what all the funds were supposed to be for and if their was a large amount of overage.

Who busted the scam?
Maybe instead of giving all of the money to charity you could give it to the scam buster, or a good chunk of it, as a reward.. Maybe put some of it up as a public bounty to bust more scam ICOs?
Reward and incentivize the good samaritans stopping these scammers..
This was not publicly revealed yet, but it isn't an issue as there is no project thread/no way to buy any tokens etc. Should be today/tomorrow once things are wrapped up.
So we don't know who came with the information to stop it? The scam buster... Source of new information..
The guy I would probably give a big tip..

new information came to light which undeniably makes "project1" a scam: The whole team was fake.

In this case I think you could do any of the above poll options without it being entirely unethical. I don't think doing any of them would make this person a bad guy..

Myself I would probably send it all to the guy(s) that found it out as a scam and keep none of it because I would feel like shit that I almost just contributed to a bunch of people getting scammed..
2046  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Ethical Dilemma] What would you do? on: January 22, 2019, 06:19:21 PM
new information came to light which undeniably makes "project1" a scam: The whole team was fake. This put the user in a difficult position, who now holds all of the money and will not finish the remaining part of the job ('keeping the thread open') for obvious reasons.

So basically the aTriz situation but not carrying on with the project right?

I think it depends on some more things.
Was the payment solely for creating and maintaining this thread or were other funds included earmarked for any other service this person was supposed to provide or any escrow for any other possible payments?
Did anyone else get scammed or lose money or their effort over it?
How much for the service already rendered and how much is the remainder/overage? Is it substantial?

Who busted the scam?
Maybe instead of giving all of the money to charity you could give it to the scam buster, or a good chunk of it, as a reward.. Maybe put some of it up as a public bounty to bust more scam ICOs?

2047  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The First Seastead is in the water on: January 21, 2019, 03:51:28 PM
This is very interesting to me..
I had to read your 2 threads here, some on the 2 forums, and your site before posting..

What are the advantages of a seastead platform over a boat? Is it registration laws?

I have been thinking using a sailboat to travel and live cheaply so I am already interested in being on the ocean but moreso to see interesting places and live happily on a relatively small budget, escape the rat race, than for the purpose of escaping laws. Actually traveling in a sailboat would be inflicting myself to all sorts of terrible laws depending on where I was visiting at the time.

I am behind the idealism of being sovereign but I don't think it would be worth it for me to have to live on a tiny space way out in the water. I think it would get very boring..
What are you going to do out there to stay occupied? Are you planning to do anything profitable out there through the advantage of no laws?
It sounds great being out there governed only by yourself but what are you going to do then? I imagine it would be fun for a minute and then get very boring.

One of these seastead things looks very easy and cheap to build. I already have a few ideas of how to build the spar cheap and easy with used materials.
Why don't you put a buoyant doughnut around your spar and use it to generate energy from the waves?

I like the idea of the spar being float height adjustable by pumping water in and out of it like a submarine. It sounds like a cool way of building a boat lift out in the water for maintenance.
2048  Other / Meta / Re: grin is now accepted for forum payments on: January 17, 2019, 01:59:42 PM
Grin has a retarded inflation rate. How do you think its price will remain sustainable?
While I am fond of Mimblewimble, whoever decided the coin specification decided to create a serious flaw.
Doge 2.0 with some bells on? Idea is sound, but sounds like Cryptohunter sorted out the supply
I don't understand...
60 Grins created every minute forever...
Isn't it the very definition of perpetual inflation? Oo

What exactly is so terrible about the price history of DOGE? You could have done a lot worse holding many other coins. It is worth more now in terms of USD than it was even at the peak of its early pump.

I watched this early pump, I was there, I had some sells in my trade history in the 240s.

Doge has always been one of my favorite cryptoCURRENCIES..
I love sending doge around for its small fees, confirmation speed, high liquidity, can send micro amounts, great CURRENCY..

Yeah sure it's not deflationary like BTC and you probably won't get rich hodling it long term like BTC, but BTC is more aiming to be the most secure store of value and not necessarily to be used for everyday small payments.

The FEDs in charge of fiat currencies do have a bit of a point about inflation keeping the currency flowing, they don't do that by accident..
High deflation stops currency flow in its tracks. Their are plenty of threads about why people don't spend BTC..

Since the inflation rate is so high in the first ~year, I think it will probably go even lower, probably under $1, and I'd expect the price chart of the first year to be a general downward trend. Again, I don't particularly recommend buying this stuff, and I myself am not going to be buying large amounts soon. But if it survives for several years and ends up competing effectively with other coins on scaling and privacy, then the inflation rate starts becoming reasonable even despite its unlimited supply

I think it could be the best CURRENCY yet, to actually be used as a currency..
So what if Grin will only be $0.01 each in a few years. You can still send $1,000,000 if you have enough of them..

Satoshi created Bitcoin and this forum in order to change the world, not to create a "Cult of BTC".
if you're interested in Bitcoin for the same reasons that Satoshi created it (freedom, privacy, and interesting tech), then grin is worthy of acknowledgement.

I think their is a righteousness to the emissions rate of GRIN. The early miners aren't going to get instarich with an instamine, no premine, no ICO, and a good inflation/deflation rate in the long term for a CURRENCY..

the first really impressive, true scaling solution in crypto.

Isn't this the holy grail of cryptocurrency? To be able to truly scale and be able to do what we naively thought/hoped that BTC would do?
Bring crypto to the masses, everyone from the rich to 3rd world countries, affordable for the poor, everyone can use it to buy their coffee every morning..

This is what we need if we are going to take the power away from the elite and banks. Eliminate the last excuses to use fiat..
We all can't use BTC or any other altcoin for every transaction we all make. All of the transactions simply will not fit in any crypto while still achieving decentralization.

Can GRIN do this? Can GRIN compete with VISA and remain decentralized and immutable with a fixed supply and no trust in 3rd parties?

Isn't this what we have been waiting for to change the world?
Or is everyone just interested in what they can make a quick $ off of..

2050  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia - ONLINE ARTICLES related to hack & theft of funds 2019 (non discussion thread) on: January 16, 2019, 01:55:44 AM
Their doesn't seem to be as much of a frenzy over this hackening as their was for Cryptsy.
It's almost like we are desensitized to exchange hacks by now having been around for so many of them..

I'm hoping for the best in this situation obviously but by now people should know not to store significant amounts in exchanges because their are so many ways things can go bad doing that.
Maybe one of the reasons their isn't that much of a commotion over this is that people know they should be in control of their own keys and know they partially have themselves to blame full well by now, and they are not surprised.

The coins prices are in the gutters at this time too, similar to the lows during the Crypty hack.
I haven't seen hide nor hair from Bruno over this one yet either..

Is he getting paid by petestheman's bounty for his signature and posts nothing but free raffle claims?
Then maybe yes..

If it is not petestheman's bounty he is in or isn't getting paid by that sig for those posts then probably no..
Someone would really pay for that signature on his posts? If it is paid then that manager needs some correction..
Who runs this blocknode bounty he is wearing a sig for?

But only for petestheman saying not to ban him I don't think so..

RawDog? Yeah, he was somewhat entertaining. Far more entertaining than cryptohunter, at any rate.

That's the one!!

2054  Other / Meta / Re: Trollonomics: My observation on troll. on: January 15, 2019, 02:37:43 PM
That is not what I would call a troll at all. What you describe is just someone that is disgruntled or angry, misinformed or not, they are actually battling for something..

A Troll to me is just someone that is having fun. A troll gets their kicks and laughs by posting crazy stuff just to get a rise out of people or piss people off.. Trolls often larp as something that will aggravate users just for fun.
Like you could go to a gun forum larping as a leftist just to get them all riled up and waste their time.
You could go to a Mercedes forum bitching about your car (that you don't even have) always breaking down and tell them why your Honda is better..
Or you could post about Bcash on this forum. Or just pretend you are an idiot asking stupid questions to frustrate others trying to explain to you and waste all their time..

Here is a good troll to read and lol  bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1376986

Well...
Cryptopia was just hacked and many major crypto news publications are running stories including suspicions of an inside job..

Their main reps here are now on DT1 so I guess we will see how that goes..

I suggest they do not use their DT powers in any relation to this event, to tag "fudders" or whatever, and we should watch to make sure noone is intimidated about speaking about the situation..

I'm not suggesting they be excluded but I can just imagine what it would have been like if the cryptsy crew were on DT when that went down..

What a shame..

Quote
Reports are emerging that a huge transfer of ERC 20 tokens from Cryptopia’s hot wallet was recorded on Etherscan. According to the records, about 48 million tokens worth approximately 1176596 USD were transferred to an unknown wallet.

The crypto community is reading mischief regarding this huge transfer and some are even calling it an exit scam.
https://www.cryptodigest.com/exchanges/huge-transfer-of-erc-20-from-cryptopia-raise-red-flags/

All I have heard talk of so far is just ERC-20 tolkens..

Cryptopia is hacked. All coins seem to be stolen and send to this address https://etherscan.io/address/0x9007a0421145b06a0345d55a8c0f0327f62a2224

Coins are moved now in small batches to exchanges so it's 99.9% sure this is the hackers wallet.

The exchange seems to be attacked with a massive influx of feed tokens and at the same time assets got withdrawn from cryptopia wallets.

Sorry for your losses guys. Lets hope people learn to not keep so many coins on exchanges

Being tracked to exchanges..

Hopefully this is all they were able to get and they might be able to recover some of them from the exchange accounts they are being sent to.
Hopefully the rest of the customers funds are safe.

I have had an account their for years but thankfully I haven't been keeping coin in exchanges in quite a while..

Quote
It’s worth noting that the first official tweet on the exchange’s official Twitter profile regarding the maintenance is from January 13th, saying:
"We are currently experiencing unscheduled maintenance, we are working to resume services as soon as possible. We will keep you updated."

"it’s somewhat “interesting” that the attack took place during a bear market where small exchanges struggle to stay afloat, hinting that the possibility of an inside job cannot be rule out."
https://bitcoinist.com/cryptopia-exchange-hacked/

Crypto news outlets are jumping all over the story.. Search "cryptopia hacked" for many articles..

Can you not mix these types of coins or is the hacker that stupid?
If the exchanged are notified in time, and they care, can't they freeze the accounts and possibly recover some of the lost funds?

2059  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 14, 2019, 11:53:54 PM
There are a concerning number of users now on DT2 who have left zero, or close to zero, ratings.

I don't think it is a problem that DT members that haven't sent much feedback..
Maybe we voted for them because we think they would make good decisions for the community if they got into DT1.

Also concerning is that in a not insignificant number of the users who have only left 1 or 2 feedbacks, they are only on DT2 because of the inclusion of a single DT1 user, and the only feedback they have left is a positive to that same DT1 member.

This IS something to keep your eyes out for.
DT1 members padding their feedback scores by including or excluding certain DT2s..

I strongly disagree with adding people solely for the purpose of boosting your own trust score
+1

I'm not sure what to think of the cryptopia bunch anyway having been around for their earlier threads and having personal run-ins with their hotshots at their site also..
2060  Economy / Reputation / Re: S_Therapist = mdayonliner on: January 14, 2019, 11:29:35 PM
I think most outsiders who look over the op will probably feel something like the following:

Yes, there's a very good chance they're alts. No, there's currently not enough evidence to tag them so so I'll stay out of it.

I mostly don't give a hoot because they are both already red-tagged to hell regardless of this alt connection..
I don't see why they care so much either because their accounts are shot anyway. Maybe they care because they aren't really alts but I don't really because they are both already overwith..

New accounts being so ambitious to gain merits and trust, to get in with the forum police crowd, are extremely suspicious to me and I hope everyone keeps their eyes peeled..
Their are others I am suspicious of too but these ones are in the past..

Edit: Thanks for the drama thread though.. I had a good read all day after I woke up to multiple PMs from S_Therapist after my post here the other day..
