2061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don't care what Saylor or Musk say anymore, I'm becoming a BTC individualist! on: August 17, 2021, 09:47:07 PM
I don't care anymore what these guys have to say, I'm becoming a BTC individualist. Their words and actions will have zero effect on me.

I only hope someday BTC will reach the $1xx,xxx zone so I can fulfill some pretty basic human dreams, other than that I know this is the rich man playground; they don't care about us anyway and only want to increase their wealth, they have a huge control even if we like it or not.
Listening up on those words that do came from those so-called popular person is never been ideal or good to rely upon. Its not bad to make out some presumptions but believing on it 100% is bullshit.

We have experienced lots of similar scenario or circumstances on where we do end up on being manipulated and ending up on getting caught on the dump and we had learned enough.

As we do gain experience into this market then it is one of the things that we would eventually learn up on the process which would really be helpful into your future endeavor on this market.
If you believe in yourself, then you should not be troubled with how other people sees on your investment. The fact that you know exactly what you're doing, gives you more security that you will always be on the right track.

Elon Musk and Saylor have their own intentions why they are doing this so let's just ignore them. They are just here for their selfish gains and have nothing to do with us. If we can be more wise in dealing with our investments, then it has nothing to worry about.
2062  Economy / Economics / Re: Can blockchain replace the traditional banking system? on: August 17, 2021, 08:57:49 PM
Blockchain and cryptocurrency are integrated into all walks of life to solve traditional solutions with safer and more efficient technologies. Although it is well known that it cannot replace cash, it may have the opportunity to replace or cooperate with traditional banking systems. Blockchain as an important innovation field of financial technology, can it replace the traditional banking system in the future?
I don’t know if there is going to be any replacement at all. The way I am seeing things, the banks we are seeing now seem unlikely to be replaced by decentralized blockchain and cryptocurrency in future, except that they are both going to keep coexist, which to me seems good. Banks are already planning to create their own cryptocurrencies (CBDC), and the government is not going to let cryptocurrency take over, because that means they are losing. Banks are the like their control over finance, so they will fight to keep that.
I don't see any possibilities that blockchain will totally replace the traditional banking system as the government will definitely be opposing it. But i do believe that this blockchain and cryptocurrency has higher chances that they can be well integrated into the old banking system.

We are now in the digital age but seems the government is not ready yet to adopt the new innovation of blockchain but still give high consideration to the traditional one. Hopefully things will change in the future not for the benefit of the officials in the government but rather for the whole governance.
2063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH adoption lately is high on: August 16, 2021, 09:46:47 PM
ETH adoption has always been high and that isn't really new, but with BSC gaining ground and BNB token itself reaching over $600 most people got carried away and thought BNB was going to overcome ETH as the mostbused blockchain for development of new projects, they however forget that BSC itself is an ethereum project. A lot has been said about the ETH2 but i  will only have a stand on whether itself good upgrade or not when the whitepaper gets released.
No wonder ethereum is now very in demand today because its own features are more developed today especially with the previous London hard fork that makes it even more interesting to all the investors around.

And since ethereum are offering smart contracts which have a lot of real life use case, so it will never be behind compared to the other platforms. Ethereum is also heading to its close adoption because of that.
2064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin in the highest level of trust? on: August 16, 2021, 09:24:55 PM
It is because among the existing cryptocurrencies in the market, Bitcoin have already proven its worth through the years that it have been into the crypto market providing safety and security on those people who have risked their funds on investing with it and have fruitfully gain profit from and it have shown us that despite of many circumstances it can still be able to bounce back to the top even if there are lots of negativities roaming around trying to pull down this crypto. With that, Bitcoin not just gain popularity but also it have proven people that it can be reliable and trusted.
Well perhaps just because this currency is the pioneer in the market and that is all. Bitcoin has been proved its legitimacy for over how many years since then, and now, we saw some other statements that they regret why they sell their coin at an early stage and supposedly it becomes folded their profit for how many times. This means that bitcoin has been already proven and there is no doubt to put some trust than other cryptocurrencies and also it has proved that bitcoin is truly decentralized than the other one.
The best thing about bitcoin is that its fully decentralized so we all have the control on it which is totally  different from fiat.  And yes, its pioneering in the market so its strong foundation has been tested already several times and still comes out successful throughout the whole 10 years.

So why do we have to trust any other coin? Maybe its more of diversifying our investments but still bitcoin will always come out dominating the whole crypto market even with the new coins arising today.
2065  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: reasons for bad trading on: August 13, 2021, 02:39:05 PM
The big reason that I see is that some people are so confident with the blueprints they believe in it.  Until they found out it was broken through another drain, confused and got rekt.  There is no successful trader without going through failures.  They don't have the patience to follow their dream of becoming a good trader.  I am one of them, I quit trading because there is no winning, record of failure and loss.  Lol, today was a high win rate action on candlesticks and charts.
It is a rip-off for those who can't be patient to learn but wanted instant. I understand that we all wanted to make some money from trading but unfortunately, not all are also willing to take risks, to face failures, however, they all wanted to earn a profit all the time. That kind of mentality is absolutely wrong and this makes most traders not able to achieve their goals.

Bad trading is obviously the result of our wrongdoings. If we are not going to change this, it still resulted in the same thing even how many years we spend in trading.
2066  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin ever go down like 2018-2020 on: August 13, 2021, 01:55:32 PM
If someone could answer this correctly, he/she was entitled as KING of Crypto. But for sure, nobody could do that. I'm very certain of that because nobody had ever controlled the market in the first place and since the market moves freely, this makes the prices remains are unpredictable. Some people will say the history repeats itself, I don't think so and it doesn't make me believe that statement anymore.

Anyway,
Either we go that high or at the bottom again, many people would still love to invest in Bitcoin. This is how it gives beauty to the crypto market.
2067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull market in the currency market is about to start on: August 13, 2021, 01:09:35 PM
If so, crypto is indeed one of the best solutions at this time to overcome it all, and regulation of crypto should have begun to be developed, especially with the current bull run, does that indicate there will be very good developments in crypto this year?
If many think like this it will be a good fundamental and the market movement will be very positive.
Almost every year we can see market improvement, we actually saw the huge changes happen around which I could foresee that Bitcoin will even spread more and so the massive adoption will take place in the coming years. What we have to experience this time is somewhat relatively close to what we think before.

The current pump that we have these days will simply tell us the capability that Bitcoin could able to be bullish anytime and there is no timeframe like what we know before (usually after halving).
2068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm now all in BTC. All eggs in one basket! on: August 13, 2021, 12:26:48 PM
The right decision certainly hold bitcoin in the long term, even that can be said to be a very long way. We here know that bitcoin has an increasing popularity in the investment things, even more people are now more familiar with Bitcoin. For me personally, I set aside for the long term and some in the short term, I use the short term for if there is a need in my life that cannot be denied.

Short-term trading could give good profit as well, the only requirement is you need to have good capital and you should be consistent in trading, we have the opportunity to make more money here since the market is so volatile, too risky but the reward is very satisfying.

For long-term investment, it's good for retirement, but you should also have a job or business to sustain your needs in order not to touch your long term investment.
2069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 13, 2021, 11:58:09 AM
That is, do you think that Ugas is so much weaker than Pacquiao that he will not be able to win one of 5 fights against him (if it were possible to conduct 5 such fights in identical conditions)? It turns out that if you're right, then the 1.26 odds on Pacquiao's victory are super beneficial and you can make an all-in for this outcome?

Suddenly people stop talking about the age of Pacquiao that he is old and he might get injured seriously. But anyway, Yordenis Ugás is not as young as Errol Spence, he is already 35 years but at that age he might still be in his prime. Lots of possibilities in this fight, but all I can see now is that people are thinking it's just an easy fight for Manny Pacquiao.

This is understandable. Spence is a young undefeated boxer and a clear contender to dominate over the years. Yordenis Ugas is a slightly younger boxer than Pacquiao with an impressive record of defeats and does not claim to be a milestone in boxing history. It is possible that the upcoming fight will be easy for Pacquiao, I think if it happens this way, everyone will be disappointed.

I'm watching his fight against Shawn Porter where he lost via SD, I think he is just too slow compared to Pacquiao and I can see an easy win by Pacquiao if he will just always be careful. This is the video of the full fight, courtesy of Premier Boxing Champions (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAwDc3BgZpk)
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 13, 2021, 11:36:28 AM

My bad, I should take that early odd which gave Casimero 1.44 than what it is now.

Just a 3% drop, still worth it if you really believe that Casimero would win this fight.

Still on stake, and nothing on Sportsbet yet.
https://stake.com/sports/boxing/international/international-matchups/42107120-casimero-johnriel-rigondeux-guillermo

No handicap betting yet, it might be available tomorrow since the fight is already in 2 days from now.

Waiting for the handicap betting as well, as I have said, ML is not that attractive and it the odds keeps on dropping, then surely not a good way to bet.

Speaking of handicap betting, what rounds you guys think that the fight will end? 8-9-10 for a Casimero win or 10-11-12 for a knock out?

I think it will be 4-5-6.  Smiley... I'm thinking of almost the same scenario against Tete where he knocks him out in round 3, I will give Rigo 3 more rounds though. Anyway, I don't really count it, it's just for fun as I don't underestimate Rigo, but if he will get caught by a clean punch, we know what will happen to him.

The Tete fight was also tough for Casimero but he went ballistic on round 3.

If Rigo is caught clean by Casimero, yeah possible that he will go down but maybe he can go up from the canvass and finish the fight. But he will go on full defense and turtle up just to last on this fight.

I'm sure this one hell of a fun fight, Casimero is so animated and then Rigo really focus and I would say that the trash talking could have been affecting him specially the 'retiring' word that Casimero is throwing on him.

Rigondeaux seems so confident too when you see their face-off, Casimero just trash-talking him and if he is affected, that is good as we will see a great fight. Casimero even said, don't run, lol.. he knows the style of a defensive fighter so it will be a gift to the fans if we will see a toe-to-toe fight because of the trash-talking of casimero.
2071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 13, 2021, 06:59:53 AM
The latest interview of Bernard Hopkins makes sense.

BERNARD HOPKINS SUSPICIOUS OF ERROL SPENCE TORN RETINA "I THINK THERE'S MORE TO THE STORY!" EXPLAINS

Spence should provide some proof that his eye was really injured, like an X-Ray result.. AFAIR, he has not provided any, and it should be in public.
As Hopkins said, he respects Spence but the timing is quite fishy.
2072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 13, 2021, 06:34:59 AM
Korver is a good backup for Harris, if Harris will struggle again, he can of course help because he also has a lot of playoffs experience already. What I'm seeing is that the nets are really competing with the Lakers in getting veterans at a minimum salary, of course, this also gives an opportunity to the veterans to have their championship in their career.

The Nets will sign Korver, not as part of the roster, but as a player development assistant coach. Try to refer to the discussion above.

But even for let's say he signed as a player, there's no such thing as a competition between teams signing veterans. That's weird. Cheesy

The Nets have hired ex-NBA sharpshooter Kyle Korver as a player development assistant coach.

Maybe they really need to hire him as Harris their 3 point sharpshooter was not sharp during the playoffs.

Since 3 point shooting is the game now in the NBA, they need to also improve their 3 point shooting, I know the Nets are already good 3 point shooting but they need some consistency especially in a high intense game like the playoffs where defense is very tight.
2073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why crypto (bitcoin) is better than traditional money? on: August 12, 2021, 11:33:07 PM
Bitcoin cryptocurrencies are important to me as a Venezuelan citizen, as you well know in my country hyperinflation reigns and for anyone it is a terrible situation because it represses the quality of life of those who suffer from it.
By investing in bitcoin and some cryptocurrencies I am relieving myself of the negative effects of inflation.
As it is true, cryptocurrencies are not accepted in many stores anywhere in the world, we are still minorities.
That is where we should focus and do our best to know how to live with bitcoin and crypto because its decentralized power works.
In some areas where Bitcoin is not yet accepted pushes them to convert it into their local currency, just like in our place that only a few that know Bitcoin, there is no way we could spend it. That is why I consider Bitcoin just purely an investment unlike in the other countries will they can enjoy using it to make a purchase in some grocery stores.
However, it did not make me bother, sometimes we have to go through this as the biggest challenge in crypto development as sooner or later it can be accepted in all corner that surrounds us.
2074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of crypto on: August 12, 2021, 11:00:51 PM
as long as it doesn't harm the country, I don't think there will be an instant ban on everyone
You can be right. If the government doesn't think it will harm society, it is unlikely to ban crypto instantly. In most cases, crypto will be banned because of a big reason, for example: money laundering or scamming people's money. If there are no bad issues, the government can allow it as long as it doesn't break the laws or regulations in the country.

That is why even cryptocurrency isn't legal in many countries it was not banned and their people are free to use it no matter what they want. China who has been the enemy of crypto will think this thing will create some troubles for their economy. It was their presumption, maybe they have some basis, we don't know but that's their thinking, we can force them. But I don't have worries about their actions, many countries have been in support of crypto, therefore, I could think this will be enough to boost the adoption somewhat it happens in the coming years.
2075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 12, 2021, 08:51:10 PM
However, the coefficient on Ugas is very attractive, if you think objectively, he could have won one fight out of three against Pacquiao, which means that the bet on Ugas is profitable. Maybe I'll make a bet, at the moment I want even more analytics  Smiley

Not against your view but as a member of the PH community here, we know and understand the gap between Pacquiao and Ugas. Pacquiao is already in preparation for Spence for several weeks now while Ugas got surprised and I doubt he can maximize his training for about over a week now against Pacquiao.

But it's up to you if you still want to bet on Ugas. Profitable of course because of the odds but risky to take that and even it will rose to 4  or 5, I will pass.

Lots of possibilities in this fight, but all I can see now is that people are thinking it's just an easy fight for Manny Pacquiao.
I do even saw some memes on facebook about being a punching bag.I dont have any tracks nor being aware about on how Ugas do fight but this isnt something an opponent which could really go toe to toe with manny.

Its just sad that Spence vs Pacquiao didnt push through due to those unexpected events or injuries but for sure the interest on that previous arrangement isnt the same on what we do have here.

They might still sell some PPV but wont really be the same when Spence is his opponent but its not bad to check out this fight though.

The fight was announced early and PPV was available early so I think some people have already bought the subscription and they will not be able to ask for a refund, it's still a great fight to watch as we have our very own Manny Pacquiao continue in making a legacy in the sports of boxing.
2076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 12, 2021, 08:36:26 PM

Personally, any fight that involves Pacquiao is a sight to behold. The fact that he is 43 years old and he still manages to fight in the ring is a privilege to us watchers and fans!

Indeed, therefore I will still watch this fight just to have fun, but when it comes to betting, I guess I'm not sure I'm willing to put on that odds. Ugas might lose here but the odds of MP are just too small to gamble. Maybe a KO win would be attractive and I'll try taking it when the odds are available.
2077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: August 11, 2021, 09:03:54 PM
From my experience and gamblers i know will only use this to try to make more money in gambling so they can cover their taxes with the winnings which will somewhat lead them to losing all the money..

Taxing the money on everything is the government's job to make money and make things worse for the people.

Each country has its own rules regarding gambling tax. There are countries where you have to pay tax on the profits per month. In month 1 - 100,000 eur profit, and in month 2 - 90,000 loss, then you will have to pay something of 29% tax from month 1. Count out your profit. But I don't know to what extent governments are actively involved in checking such matters.

I'd say the government are being greedy if they have that kind of huge taxes, it's only the gambling sites that makes consistent profit here, for gamblers, we don't one day we make big profit, the next day we could lose it all together with our fresh capital, so it doesn't make sense at all.
2078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 11, 2021, 08:52:12 PM
Greed pure and simple.  He is a marginal player, and getting offered and turning down $85million is rediculous.  He couldn't really expect to get top nba tier salary does he?  I think they avoided a disaster at even offering $85mil.  Maybe next time he will accept:)
Yeah, it looks like it was only his greed. However, I don't exclude that Schroder doesn't want to be a bench player, and Westbrook signing could have influenced his decision. Anyway, he still might be able to prove to everyone that he deserves a big salary, although I don't expect that he will be playing like a superstar next season.
He is under a new system, so let's see if he will improve. If he plays like how he played in his last season with the Hawks where he averages 19.4 pts, he will be a big help for the Celtics, and his chance to get a good contract will be possible. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/schrode01.html

since he didn't get a big contract, he will surely work hard this coming season.
2079  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I start trading? on: August 11, 2021, 03:47:11 PM
Hello everyone, I just got introduced into crypto by a friend and would like to know how do I go about doing it. Have went through lots of tutorials from different places but did not quite understand how to use them and what to see. That's when I thought a forum would be the next best place to place such a question.
it simply you can't just learn about trading and those tutorials because you haven't try to use it in actual trading. Because trading wasn't just only learning the tutorials online, it must be done in an actual scenario as well to know how it really works. You can start for a few bucks like $50 or $100, it wasn't big enough and hurting to lose if we fail.

If you have a lot of questions before it starts, that is probably more questions to ask once you are already in trading. Honestly, you need to have a companion to work with you but to tell you that never get close to signal groups as these people will not helping you to grow.
2080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which NFTs are worth the investment? on: August 11, 2021, 03:20:03 PM
I suggest to you to invest in NFT game, as NFT games are now the new trend in the crypto world, in our country the NFT games make the crypto world known by many people, it really became a good way because of the NFT game that is now become the new trend in our country.

I suggest you to try the Axie Infinity, you can Invest in AXS and SLP, I am also investing in DPET and PVU which I think will be good as well as Axie infinity.
I was surprised by how these NFT games are in hypes, unlike the others. I think people are more engaged in games or gambling these days as the pandemic still exists, actually, they are making money from these games that also give them the interest.

But on the other side, I wasn't thinking how this could survive for a long time. Even though it has been said that NFT games are very hot this time but never in mind I'm going to risk some money with them. Instead, I'll still choose the leading coins in the market.
