2161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What did you learn about crypto trading? on: March 24, 2022, 03:35:03 PM
I have learned two best things from crypto.
1: Never create a sell limit order where a flick could exercise it. (Lost heavily).
2:  Never make a move based on the news. (Heavy loss). Too few big whales left in exchanges that can easily  manipulate the market using a lot less funds.

Actually the news thing is true, cryptocurrency is also affected by news especially when Bitcoin is the one that's on the news (a bad news), then altcoins is also affected. About the limit order, it is true, that's why before making a trade, always check your technical analysis to be aware of possible fake outs to avoid loss of profits, because that's what always got me when I was just starting trading last year.
2162  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It seems that more people taking crypto trading as full time job on: March 24, 2022, 02:53:25 PM
According to the economic situation of the world, most of the people in the world are living in unemployment. In that case, cryptocurrency unemployment has been greatly reduced. Those who can't find a job are getting involved in cryptocurrency trading.

Yes, I agree.

Many people have lost their job when the pandemic starts in 2020, that's why people also find other ways on how to earn money, and that's online jobs, as well as cryptocurrency. Many countries adapted Bitcoin as their currency because of the inflation that always happen in fiat, for example is on Venezuela. Cryptocurrency Trading became a thing for people because of the pandemic. They started to open their mind about cryptocurrency and how it's more better than fiat and on 8 hours job per day.
2163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you using trading indicators? on: March 24, 2022, 02:11:13 PM
If you are using indicators for trading, which ones have you used that make a good trades for you?

I'm using RSI for divergence and Fibonacci re-tracement to easily spot future support and resistance. These two are my favorites, so easy to use and understand. But you also have to know first of course how to read TA, and the basics to be able to understand what's those two for. I've been using EMA as well when I was just a newbie in trading, but it's too confusing for to use more than 2 indicators so I stick to two only.
2164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Largest Slots Win in Washington State History on: March 23, 2022, 03:29:26 PM
Quote
A Lynnwood man won a $2.4 million jackpot this weekend, the largest slot machine win at any casino in state history.

Jose Lopez, of Lynnwood, won $2,369,748.95 shortly after midnight on March 20 at the Tulalip Resort Casino.

The $2.4 million jackpot shattered the previous jackpot record of $1,101,976.12.

Lopez, a self-employed painter, was urged by his girlfriend to play the Golden Charms progressive slot machine.
Source.

Trivia:
  • So lucky he has "holy" girlfriend who told him to play slots Grin
  • This grand jackpot previous win is dated Februari 8, 2020, so it's more than two years of waiting until the jackpot triggered again.
  • To participate, simply play with $5/spin
  • He won 473,949.79x multiplier!

Golden Charms slot machine

What do you think? Dare to play $5/spin in a slot with more than 400k max-win? For me, I'd stick to 5,000x max-win Cheesy
FYI DOA 2 only has 111,111x max-win, and it's so tough.

He must have been so lucky to win such hefty amount. The persistence of his girlfriend to ask him play and him doing the act of betting in slot made this happen. It almost seem impossible, but it happened. Indeed, it's really a matter of skills and luck altogether. Fate and odds must have been on his side and it's so powerful.

Hopefully, he will take good care of his winnings to secure his future because the amount he won is really big. With right management of it, he can achieve so many things. I just wish that despite winning this big, he won't be addicted and be consumed.
2165  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor on: March 23, 2022, 02:45:13 PM
With all the talk about Jake Paul trying to find a new opponent and Conor McGregor leaving the door open for it to actually happen...  Do you think they'll meet up in the boxing ring at some point?  Conor has made it clear that his intent is to try and fight in the UFC for a belt, and is targeting a fight with Kamaru Usman for the 170lb belt this year.  Then there's talk of Diaz and Poirier rematches...  Personally, I think making a boxing comeback and getting some money isn't the worst idea if he were to go after Jake Paul first.  That would give his leg more time to heal.  However, if he lost to Jake Paul in boxing, that would seemingly be the end of his career.  With Jake having so much size on him, I'm not sure if that's the gamble I'd make so long as UFC title fights were still available.  What do you think?

Conor McGregor wants title fight against Kamaru Usman in 'late summer' return to Octagon

Exhibition matches aren't really for everyone. Some prefer professional boxing matches than that because they want to see the raw fight of strength of both boxers. The energy and effort exerted in games that are for a title carries so much in them rather than in exhibition matches that mostly are just arranged and happens because of money.

If the people would demand an exhibition match of the two, then their fight could possibly happen. Otherwise, it won't because audience demand matters too. After all, the ones behind the arrangement should profit too. Let's see whether if this would occur. Although I must say that Jake Paul is really popular when it comes to exhibition matches.
2166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your opinions about simulated reality games? on: March 23, 2022, 02:09:03 PM
I frequently see these "simulated reality" games (SRI) listed together with conventional matches.  Huh
As gambler I can think of a lot of questions...

Are these trusted services? Is the result already foreseen before a match or is it managed according to the bets?
Is there a single provider of these encounters or are there multiple services that provide this series of matches?

What is your opinion?

I don't think these simulation games are totally trustworthy because it seems that simulated games can be easily manipulated and controlled by the operator, unless they declare they are running on provably fair which I suppose, they aren't. Since these games are run with the help of artificial intelligence, it would be much accessible to bypass. The feeling of entertainment and excitement won't be elevated as much too because there's a difference between playing in actual in virtual or in simulation.

If you really want to experience, you could try and then decide from your first-hand experience. It's still much better to figure it on your own to know if it's worth it or not. Just be vigilant in choosing and in betting.
2167  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Sites on: March 23, 2022, 01:07:05 PM
Please! Is there any gambling site that I can easily sign up? I tried Gamdom.com but it is not opening either it is only loading since morning...so, I need a site that I can access easily.

If you really want to start gambling with sites that could easily signed up upon, you can check various thread here in gambling or in gambling discussion. Because there are some sites that are picky and have some sort of restrictions and rules imposed to follow such as mandating KYC and the likes. If you don't like that, then simply tick it off your list.

There are also websites which could be easily signed upon, however, some of it isn't available in other countries. So make sure to do a research about casinos that offer to your area. Most especially now that casinos instantly detect those people who use VPN which is against their terms and conditions.
2168  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 23, 2022, 12:35:26 PM

Of course, sanctions and boycotts are unlikely to stop Putin's war in Ukraine and bring an end to the crisis. While there is only a marginal economic impact, it is still a huge signal to the Russian people that something is wrong. The collapse of the Russian ruble and Russian stock market show how nervous the middle class has become. If the crisis is not managed and the sanctions do not lift soon, Putin will be in real trouble and will lose the last big standing support he still has. There is no doubt that the sanctions and boycotts will be painful for the Russian people, but it is arguably the only way to send a clear message to Kremlin.

Still not effective after several side boycott did by United State and Europe Country and Putin as Russian president keep continue his invasion to Ukraine before Volodymyr Zelenskyy as Ukraine President declare give up with Russian invasion, have several economic side have boycott and I think recommended for gambling platform from Russia to boycott is not fair with invasion did by president not with gambling platform, not have way with financial invasion war coming from gambling platform and looks not logic reason with many asking from world people to boycott Russia gambling platform.

The reason for boycotting Russian casinos is that the more money someone loses there, the more money is going into the Russian budget in taxes from these casinos. If less money is flowing from the casinos to the Russian government, this war will last maybe a few minutes, maybe a few hours, or maybe a few days less, and maybe in this way we will save someone's life.
I don’t think a significant amount of money is going in the Russian economy from the taxes in casino platforms. And if there is a shortage of government money, I think they will get support from many others states for example China is still supporting this WAR. So that just boycotting Russian gambling sites this war will never stop i think.

Valid point. Only those people who own a gambling business will be affected and the other perpetrators and supporters of war won't really be affected because they have other means to support themselves in the first place. These casino owners would be on the losing end if the boycott would be done in general. The innocent ones would suffer as well.

In addition, boycotting will not totally eliminate the conflict and war among Ukraine and Russia. The only way to stop this is for Putin to halt his aggressive moves against Ukraine. Which I don't really think he'll do anytime soon.
2169  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is trick for average joe but financial people know truth on: March 22, 2022, 03:55:51 PM
It's a trick for most people because the majority of the people are employees and they would certainly suffer from the high inflation rate of a country. Unlike those who are in the business sector, they can always makes an adjustment as they are in control of their business, and being a business owners, they'll make sure that they still operate profitably.

I guess this is the sad reality about the financial aspect of most people. Inflation rate really takes a toll on the lives of ordinary and working classes. They are always affected whenever there's a price increase in the market due to inflation reasons. Having a fixed and stagnant salary which isn't really enough to sustain the cost of living in some countries, it makes it hard for them to even survive on daily basis.

Unlike to those people who are living comfortably their lives because they are in the upper bracket of the society. They just need to adjust and adapt to the changes, which they can easily do compared to those averages and lower bracket since they have the means.
2170  Economy / Economics / Re: US warns India over oil deal with Russia on: March 22, 2022, 03:03:39 PM
A complete oil embargo cannot be imposed unless all countries comply with that embargo.
During the sanctions imposed on the Iranian regime, that country sold oil to some countries, and Russia's capabilities are much greater than Iran's.

It's gaining opportunities, Russia can sell oil at less than the world price and still be profitable, and the same for India, Russia is closer to them than Saudi Arabia and they can get them at a discount.

The problem lies in dealing in dollars, and this can be bypassed by using the barter system or by keeping mutual reserves between the two countries without the need to impose financial penalties on them because they did not use the dollar in those operations.

Well-constructed. If not every country would follow the restrictions set regarding the permission about buying and selling to Russia, the imposed embargo would just be futile. Maybe it isn't just on news, but perhaps there are still some countries bypassing the memo brought down regarding it. I'm guessing they are doing it secretly because after all, they know the repercussions that come with it if the world will know about the transactions.

It's frustrating to know that there are countries like these, but I can't totally blame them if they see an opportunity to buy some in much cheaper price compared to the other countries selling right now such as oil. I just hope it won't be as massive because what would be the sanctions for, right?
2171  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 22, 2022, 02:28:31 PM
Speaking with marketing or exposure then it is indeed happening and not really just now.
https://ph.news.yahoo.com/these-are-the-celebrities-promoting-crypto-even-as-concerns-around-digital-scams-mount-142036509.html

Some do make out some partnerships and some do only promote out personally. So everything would be on that win-win situation.
This isn't an issue with Stake and Drake because Stake is a known casino and has the reputation that their customers will be sure of. Although it's good to be aware of these potential scams that the celebrities might endorse.

It's mostly for those ICO projects that has used celebrities to promote their projects in the past. I'm not saying that they're fully gone but good thing you guys have brought it into attention because there could still be in existence.

While an example of it: https://coingeek.com/centra-tech-sohrab-sharma-sentenced-to-8-years-over-celeb-hyped-ico-scam/

Indeed. Stake has established its name already even way before having a celebrity endorser. Which is really good because they have a good reputation to begin with. This only means that the clients won't have to worry so much regarding the services offered. Unlike other casinos that only relies with the publicity that their endorsers would give them.

Celebrity endorsers can be of great help, but it would be so much better if the casino already has made its contribution and its reputation on its own. Even without an endorser, surely, the players would be encouraged to invest and play with them. Although having an endorser would be a plus and a win-win situation too.
2172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess online? on: March 22, 2022, 01:55:15 PM
Several players have been caught cheating in the past. They have used a variety of technologies to cheat. Of course it started with a pocket PDA and then consult an engine in the toilet. Cheaters with a bit more high tech stuff have also been caught. I'm sure there are still a lot of cheaters out there who have not been caught and will not be caught. You need to have a decent level of chess if you don't want to get caught, and understand which moves a good player would make and which moves a computer would make.
I'm lack of knowledge about the history about chess tournaments but knowing that it happens, in every sport there were always those exploitation that's being done by these athletes. Too bad that these have to do it because they probably know that they can't compete.
Why you need to think of being caught? You don't even want to get involve into cheating, the fun and intelligence that's involved in this game is going to be gone if someone thinks of doing it.

This is true. In sports, cheating shouldn't even be an option because the sports like chess is all about strategy, techniques, intelligence, and skills. The competition would be futile if they would even think about cheating when effort should be made, not some sort of tactics to just win, disregarding the process on how to get the winning title and prize.

Nowadays, it really isn't a secret that there are numerous ways to cheat. In almost every platform and games, there are cheats that are being made and sold. However, this just beats the essence. In addition, the cheating ways aren't even guaranteed so why bother. Instead of thinking that way, you can condition your mind and aim for winning by playing neat.
2173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do to speed up Bitcoin mass adoption? on: March 22, 2022, 01:18:52 PM
I still mostly hold the opinion that bitcoin won't be used by the mass majority for payments any time soon. First, they need to know the importance of BTC as a decentralized and scarce asset that you can park a certain percentage of your net worth in. We're nowhere near having most people knowing that just yet, it's mostly still that BTC is a get-rich-quick scheme.

I agree with this. Bitcoin adoption won't totally mean that it would be end of fiat money system. Bitcoin is still on its early age, although it is already known that it has withstood the test of time. But there would be so much more waiting for bitcoin in the future. Surely, mass adoption would happen, but it would take some time to be done.

People need to grasp the idea of bitcoin, its nature, and how it works altogether. They must know the advantages and its disadvantages for them to utilize it on its full potential. If people would rush things, they won't really learn and probably they would hate it if things don't go the way they planned it to. Knowing the importance and its possible benefits, they could adjust to the things they would do.

Bitcoin isn't a get-rich-quick type of scheme and it would never be. It's just so saddening that most people view it that way, which is why most have a misconception on the duration of returns. Risk management is a must to avoid regrets.

Overall, i believe that mass adoption would happen. We don't really have to speed it up as it could cause disruption instead of doing good. Transition would take time and surely, it would coexist with fiat still.
2174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scams now the second largest in the world on: March 22, 2022, 12:29:08 PM
This is the reason why you need to avoid shitcoins and pick only Bitcoin if you want to start to invest on crypto space. After 13 years created, Bitcoin never ever scam anyone until now. If there's an article discuss about Bitcoin scams, pretty sure it's either exchange, investment company, recoverable funds etc are the scammer, not Bitcoin.

You can utilize shitcoins to your advantage if you only know how to manage risks that come along with it. It could be beneficial to some, but to those who don't really have the patience and knowledge might just end up losing. It would be much better if you'll invest in coins that are considered to have a great potential despite the volatility. Surely, this isn't only revolving around bitcoin. There are many other coins that are showing a lot of potential if you'll just dig deep about their backgrounds and projects.

There are many crypto scams now because of ignorance and lack of knowledge of people. Most people easily fall victim into the scams and schemes because they don't have that skills and knowledge to detect whether what is scam and what isn't, which is their responsibility. I guess this matter still boils down to being responsible enough of every action we take and being wary to every possible tactics other people may do.
2175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Great Bitcoin Secret Revealed on: March 22, 2022, 11:50:00 AM
I don't think you fully comprehend the idea of how bitcoin works. Bitcoin isn't just a messaging system. It is so much more than that. Bitcoin is a mode of transaction as well as store of value. It serves these two main purposes with the help of blockchain technology. To say that it's sole purpose is messaging would be insulting it.

Digital technology exists, and it proves just how the bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies exist too. You can't just claim that they don't just because you are used to traditional and tangible ones. I suggest that you make a more in-depth research about it so that you'll be enlightened. I'm glad to read that people here in forum are educating and not really mocking.
2176  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bear Market thread on: March 19, 2022, 06:01:02 PM
2177  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paymaya will launch their crypto-friendly “Maya Bank” in Q1 2022! on: March 19, 2022, 04:18:58 PM
I think this is a good sign.

Paymaya has been established in 2007 and I might say na maganda naman ang record nila so far.
2178  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanctions left and right, Can the Russian economy survive? on: March 19, 2022, 03:30:52 PM
You think that Russia started the war all of a sudden without thinking. He has been preparing himself for this for years. He was aware of all the consequences he would face. So he already has all the alternative needed right on his hands. He has China with him, which is going to be a huge backup for him. Like, when Master and Visa decided to stop providing them services, Putin has already started to work with Unipay, a Chinese owned payment processor. Yes, Russia will survive the economy in the long run. And if they decide to use crypto currencies, it will be more easy for them to survive.

It's probable Putin planned everything before deciding to invade Ukraine. After all, he's a very smart person. The Ruble may be going down now, but it could recover as China comes to the rescue. And don't let me get started with the adoption of cryptocurrencies by the Russian government. With all of the natural resources Russia has at its disposal, it's easy enough to become self-sustainable.

Nonetheless, sanctions are just sanctions. Only a direct war between Russia and other countries will put an end to Putin's ambitions to conquer Ukraine. But the world is afraid of doing so, since Russia is a nuclear superpower. We'll see how everything will play out in the long run with Putin willing to revive the Soviet Union. Just my thoughts Grin

Nice analyzation you got there.

Indeed, Putin really did plan all of his actions he executed and is executing right now. The Russian's president is intelligent enough to foresee the things before it actually happen. Everything the military are instructed to do are definitely well-planned and thought of. For sure, they also did see coming the sanctions that will be imposed upon them once they invaded Ukraine, hence, has prepared for it also.

Cryptocurrency can be their way to evade the sanctions given to them by most countries. Despite their bank accounts being frozen, the higher ups, most especially those who are in favor of the war, already prepared their funds in various platforms such as in crypto, so they could access it despite the restrictions. This is just so unfortunate for those who are innocent because they are also at the scope of the sanctions, despite not wanting to be involved. After all, the sanction is applicable to everyone in Russia.

Countries are afraid of being involved in the Russia-Ukraine conflict because being involved means siding to the other. Which could trigger the aggressiveness of Russia that could possibly lead to a bigger war. Hence, most countries just choose to extend their help in subtle ways possible.
2179  Economy / Economics / Re: China's strategy on the Ukraine invasion war on: March 19, 2022, 02:53:20 PM
China has its own mission in helping Russia to carry out the invasion of Ukraine, China is a country that wants to have its own advantage, they will do everything possible to get an advantage, where he sees an advantage, he will try to approach, but if China does not benefit, already surely he will not care about all that, as China did with bitcoin, because the Chinese government cannot control bitcoin, so in 2017 China immediately banned bitcoin mining in his country,

This is no news. China wants everything that would be beneficial to them. They are just waiting for the opportunity to take advantage of the situation. The moment they got a glimpse of a scene that would be useful for them, they would do everything on their power to make it happen.

Right now, China said that they are not in any way affiliated as an ally to Russia. It's because they have seen all the sanctions imposed upon Russia. I believe they think that the world sanctions would really do much harm if they will be involved, hence chose to be secretly backing up Russia for the raw materials they need.
2180  Economy / Economics / Re: The economy is important for a family! on: March 19, 2022, 02:14:03 PM
I already have kids, but I haven't thought about teaching them about crypto and investments. My child is going to preschool, I want them to have a beautiful childhood like a fairy tale and according to their wishes.
Crypto will definitely be used a lot in the future but I think we shouldn't rush them because they are big and know they will have their own choices and we are the only ones behind.

This has a point. Every child deserves to enjoy their childhood. We should let them take over their youth, but of course, not to the expense that they could ruin their future. I know that most, if not all, parents want the best for their children. But parents should also consider the feelings, emotions, and their children's development over the crucial years of their growth. Because these stages are of importance for the kid's overall shape enhancement, behavioral, perspective, and critical thinking aspects speaking.

If you really want to secure your children's  future, you can start saving in different investments that your trust. If you want it to be in crypto, start as early as you can and let it grow over time. You can introduce them with it the moment they got in the right and perfect age to understand such things. Don't force nor impose it to them. Make them aware about the investment and /or educational fund that you made for them and you can teach them about it for their better understanding and handling when they got to their curious and explorative stage.
