My take right now is we are seeing allot of larger EAC sales, due to last weeks pump, I think we had some new buyers that were looking to make quick money and got dumped on Now they are trying to get their btc back for near their purchase price. I think EAC is far from dead, however Eac will not rise overnight, The supply still out weighs the demand, maybe when EAC halves (?december) we will have a steady rise in price, until than keep mining and holding. A large mining effort from the community with the intention of holding would be good too. Or mining another alt to buy up cheap EAC. People talk about an interest for EAC holders. maybe if we had a mining group that mined a diff alt and sold for EAC, a small % of the pool could be returned to members of the community though earthcointalk.org giveaways. let it be clear I am not a miner so If i'm speaking out of my ass go easy  just throwing out Ideas, I know some of these ideas have already been touched on. No, that is a good idea. One of the reasons I keep my miner on EAC instead of a more profitable coin is to drive up the EAC difficulty hoping to deter dumpers, just the slightest bit. This is actually part of what I'm doing. I don't currently have any good way to mine scrypt coins, but I do buy EAC pretty often with what I get in other alts. Most alts are only good for dumping, and that's what I do with them. I'm pretty broke right now, so it's a small percentage. But whenever I have some extra, I buy EAC. And hold it. Though I'm also going to be buying silver with EAC and reselling it at market for BTC, which I'll use the profits to buy EAC. |

Well it looks like I picked a bad day to sleep in... I have been looking at the case and was able to recompile the Windows wallet. However, it looks like that does matter if nothing will sync. I just woke up, so I havn't been able to look into this yet, but I wanted to let everyone know, I will not let this coin died.
I would like to officially take over development of this coin, affective today. I would also like to welcome any help from any other developers. As soon as I get a shower I will get in front of a computer and get to work.
I'm sorry I haven't responded to PMs yet, since I can only post or pm every 356 seconds, I thought it more important to let the community know that we are alive and we will handle these issues.

I use Electrum, it's pretty nice, easy to use. I had issues with Multibit with it not ever wanting to send transactions through or update balances. QT , was just too much loading time for me.
No comment on multibit due to no experience. QT is probably the safest, since you have possession of the blockchain, but I HATE waiting (sometimes for more than a day) for it to sync. I've been using Electrum almost exclusively for a couple months. No issue with it at all, other than it's an ugly interface. I can deal with ugly when it's functional, and I love the 2 to 3 second sync time. If somebody were to program a good looking skin, or even a skinning kit for Electrum they would be doing the users a great service. |

I believe we are in state of anarchy now, but i think someone (CryptoGir?) already looking at the code and stashcoin developer is willing to help also. Let our voting pass first. We need to be a little patient. Maybe close your wallet and not think about SHACoin for a couple of days. We need to work out what is wrong with the client and we may need to do some testing to ensure it is a smooth release. We will work this out. who are 'we'?? |

Working toward and uptrend requires a focus well outside of the exchanges, and instead building the coin into something useful and useable in the real world. That takes time. It seems to have stabilized for the moment at a rather low value. For those interested in the brand, that's an opportunity. I'm buying as much as I can get at the low prices, and when we get it working at various shops and person to person, the value will rise in accordance with it's utility. If day trade is all you're interested in, this is probably the wrong coin for you. If it's only one facet, stay tuned Nothing's wrong with having a purpose on a coins.it's all i want on all coins. It was supposed to be for the first newsletter, but I got delayed as well as some technical issues, so I decided that something was better than nothing. I got so frustrated with this thing that I sold out.
Then I calmed down and realized I wouldn't be so frustrated if I didn't care, and bought back in. I still can't get stake, and the coins have been sitting in an opened wallet for several days.
I'm not a programmer, but this needs fixed if the coin is gonna have a future. It seems to be a very cool coin, but it don't work right. Some people get stake every day, some of us not at all.
it drifts in and out of sync, has to be restarted often, and is basically buggy. Great concept, poor implementation.

any news on exchanges ? could have been using my votes for kimocoin  We will let you all know about this when its time will come (quite soon ). Till then read this : Yes mate. We're gonna publish soon our Project Growth Plan.
Our system allows block reward scheme an inflation / deflation scheme, that can reach up to 100k KMC block and then decrease to 5k relatively slowly , but all that will take place in the space of a month or so , calculating that we're grinding blocks faster than expected .. so the " stabilization phase " of the KMC value ( in relation to the block reward, not his exchange value or absolute purchase power) will come "soon".
So, in order to avoid being subjected to the usual dump in which every other coin gets involved entering into an exchange , even if this would happen during the inflationary phase of block rewards , will be our KimoShop to determine the value of 1KMC before the entrance in the Markets: this fact will make the market adapt to us and not the opposite, cause of massive unscrupolous dumps.
In addition, the fact of entering the market with an added value of real usability of the coin is something that few have involved.
As you can see on the official thread price proposals it's been already done Smiley . Now without being visionaries or dreamers , the price of 0.00003 1KMC to me seems a bit excessive compared both to the absolute total production of coins and the the relative coins production in the period of max profitability. .
That price may be a quote that could be achieved only at a later time , perhaps when we will be on exchange and usability of KMC will be popular and with good feedback from the community . For the moment, we are still evaluating the best compromise between KMC and Euros (or if you want it between KMC / BTC ) to start selling our products through KimoShop .

The current team is trying to put that back on rails after things got messed up, but I tell you this: I'm with forgetme on this one. Exchanges are cool, I mine alts and sell them myself. But most of them I do not hold, nor attempt to make purchases with. They're really only good for the exchanges. The few that have some vision behind them are better off staying off the exchanges. Why? Because exchanges are paired with bitcoins. In some cases, LTC and DOGE as well. But the primary "measure" is bitcoin. You want to see something cool happen, make an OTC exchange with ANY pair trade-able. I already put that idea out on the Earthcoin thread, and I'll put it out here. I don't have any kimocoins, but my offer on the other thread will be the same here. You make an OTC exchange that's not solely paired with BTC, or even just the "big three", but rather paired with any two coins at the trader's discretion, I'll put up 500K EAC towards it. It's not a blanket thing, we'll have to come to some sort of arrangement of exactly what's to be done, and then it has to BE done. I pay bounties for finished projects. But if somebody can do thinks they can do this, get ahold of me in PM with a good outline of your plan. If I have any problems with it, I'll say so. If it's doable, and I think it's the right way to go, all you gotta do is launch it. You'll have half a million EAC totally to profit from you exchange. |
