I really don't get it.

When it comes to people getting drunk or car pics or pics of their girlfriend everyone takes some crystal clear photos (even if in motion).

When it comes to important things , witnesses etc , you get some blurry pics or videos.
2362  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 09, 2014, 03:29:44 PM
For a bear to affect this market they have to have bitcoin to dump right? So how are they a bear if they had coins in the first place? I still haven't figured that out.

Same for the bulls , they are supposed to be all BTC and 0% fiat.

But reality actions/ forum talks are two different things
2363  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: May 08, 2014, 02:08:22 PM

Highest living standard on the planet?
Are we talking about Russia and planet Earth?

Yes. By 1940 USSR reached average living standards of Europe and USA, by 1980 USSR got highest average living standards on planet.
In 1980 soviet currency, the rouble was golden. 1r=0,987g of gold. Average price of 1g of gold in 1980 was 20$, average personal mouthly income in 1980 USSR was 177 roubles.
177*0,987*20=3494 of 1980 dollars, around 10500$ today. That was AVERAGE salary in USSR in dollars-through-gold value
Some prices: 1 bedroom appartment utility bill - 4-7 roubles a month, that included unlimited hot and cold water, heat, gas. Electricity - 0,02r per kWh. Taxi is also 0,02r per kilometer of the trip btw
Subway trip - 0,05r, mountly abonement for all city transportation (unlimited trips) - 3r. Full meal in some canteen, incl soup, main course, drink and desert - 1r (0,5r for students). 0,4kg of bread - up to 0,28r e t c

Houses was given for free
Education - free (with 30-70 roubles mountly grants for all students)
Medicine - all free
Vacation services once in a year - free, additional up to 30roubles for 3 weeks in resort at black sea like this:
http://sundolina.org.ua/gallery

And so on...

Any proofs of them being mercenary?

You mean they are fellow ukraineans fighting for freedom against russian invaders right?

Yeah yeah , I know that piece of crap propaganda .. I lived in an ex commie country..
You had a lot of money but no heat in your crappy apartment no hot water nothing to buy from the market , I had to stay in line from 4 am to wait fro the 7 am milk truck and only the lucky one got they 1l ratio , everything was on ratios.. and we lived better than anyone on the planet...
Commie propaganda doing it's worse

what a fucking joke, the last couple of days some of you were crying all around the place about the rounding up and about Bitstamp ripping customers off, and most of you agreed on the $5 min order, in fact most of you said it should minimize the effect, but today you are crying again about them doing what you wished for !!!!! what the heck is wrong with people  Angry

Too much coffee, huh? Cheesy

By my count, 3 out of 4 posts here welcome the decision.

Maybe he got his numbers from another thread? I think I saw a thread related to this bitstamp move earlier

davout is pissing me off on the other thread, but we all know why Cheesy

Well , reading through that thread it's no wonder you posted that above There are some very angry people in there Smiley

I agree with Dragonseer about this, the devs and P Harris should come down from their ivory towers to mingle with us simple folks for a while. This is one key reason we have double digit prices right now.

Wink wink - developers we need u here, not with the great spirits (however important they are too..)

- Tomi

I wonder what you mean when you say the community...you guys holding mzc and hoping for the moon or the indian natives that should be the ones using and trading the coins.

Because there is a slight difference between those two groups.
2366  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is the West gearing up to invade Russia once again? on: May 08, 2014, 01:37:42 PM
I would object to the use of obsolete cold-war terminology such as "the West;" no such entity exists any more, and the Iron Curtain and the great ideological divide of  1917-1989 are long gone.

I had believed in the past that the cold war was long gone. But now it seems clear that it is very much alive. The USSR was replaced by the Russian Federation and nothing else changes.

I really can't believe you've said that Smiley. After all the debates we had on the subject Smiley))

Bitstamp have updated their minimum order amount to $5:

Quote
Dear Bitstamp clients,

On May 15th, 2014 the minimum trade amount will be changed to $5.00.

Bitstamp’s accounting system rounds trading fees to pennies. To greatly reduce the impact of this rounding for our clients the minimum trade amount is being raised to $5.00.

The $5.00 trade minimum will apply to both our web interface and our API.

Best regards,
Bitstamp team

https://www.bitstamp.net/article/bitstamp-minimum-trade-changing-to-5/

LOL, rather than do the correct fix.

Depends on your perspective. You probably have the fee escrow method in mind, right?

I'm not a big fan of high frequency, low volume automated trading in Bitcoin, so the $5 min trade size is a solution for 2 problems in my view.

I too think this is the right answer. All this bot trading is annoying sometimes.
Besides I really like the fact that Bitstamp at least did something pretty fast trying to fix the issue once the community start yelling.

Donetsk and Luhansk regions to hold referendum as scheduled earlier

http://en.itar-tass.com/world/730897

Quote
The Donetsk and Luhansk regions have decided not to postpone the referendum planned for May 11. The people’s council of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic has voted against the postponement. "People intend to hold the referendum. There are millions of people ready to cast their votes," co-chairman of the republic’s government Denis Pushilin told a press conference after the council's voting. "Even if we had voted against, the referendum all the same would be held," he added.

Why don't they have a referendum for the date of the referendum?. With this everyone will be happy and the will of the people will prevail.

Btw , if you're still an editor on wiki like me ( sorry if i misread or i remember it wrong) you should go here

The huge spike in value that Maza Coin had is a proof that we are dealing with a very explosive currency. U will see once P Harris and the Pirate get their forces together we will be flying way over 3000satoshis again. Mark my words.

- Tomi

ps. Megaman, Poppys, Danonthehill u are absolutely right in what u say and it is a fair critique. But u have to remember - this coin and its story has only began.

I would be more concern what an explosive currency will do after reaching 3000. 10 seconds after it goes bang. it's gone forever?
The only thing that can save mzc it's the community  , and that is the one giving all the problems right now.
2372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 08, 2014, 01:03:08 PM
Isn't it strange that there is no serious walls (500BTC+) for quite a long time (weeks) on the bid side. Neither on the ask side. Talking about stamp.

Whales are waiting for each other , none wanting to be the first putting walls to influence the price Smiley.
It's getting interesting
2373  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crimea on: May 08, 2014, 01:01:27 PM
If you really enjoy reading through human history you shouldn't use words like never or forever.
Forever ...like what 10 years from now on , 100 , 1000? Can you really predict the future?

OK... I'll change my words.

Crimea will remain as a federal subject  of Russia, even after Ukraine ceases to exist as a unified independent nation. (That will happen quite soon, if the things are going like this).

Since that can mean Ukraine will split in 6 months and Crimea will stay in the Russian federation for two years more after which it will rejoin the new formed Ukraine  , I agree with the text change Smiley.
2374  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: May 08, 2014, 12:59:14 PM
So you're suggesting that the observers going into the areas hold by the rebels should be escorted by Ukrainian troops?
Don't you find that a bit funny?

Either by the Ukrainian Army, or by the UN peace keepers (as agreed between the two rival factions). What role does the Black Water and other private security contractors have here?

Any proofs of them being mercenary? Please quote something else than rt.
This is a propaganda piece of crap and nothing more.

You see a blurry video and a photo and you believe everything they say just because you think Russia is better than the us. And in no time you're a brainwashed sheep also.

2375  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: May 08, 2014, 12:52:06 PM
Do you really think that observers go alone in those areas? How about you check wikipedia (which btw seems to be like 99% of your source of knowledge and out of the blue is not trustable anymore) and find out how those international military observations take part.

International observers are provided security by the host nation. International observers don't depend upon Black water mercenaries for their security... well that might be the case in Iraq... but no across the world.

So you're suggesting that the observers going into the areas hold by the rebels should be escorted by Ukrainian troops?
Don't you find that a bit funny?
2376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.6 HARDFORK MANDATORY UPDATE on: May 08, 2014, 12:50:03 PM
We just did something that may save DOGE and it may really go to the moon :-)
We made a product that is sold exclusively for DOGEs. We do not accept other currencies like BTC or USD. It is sold exclusively for DOGE.
Product is unique. It may save $$$.

Our product is http://www.PopupChat.com/ It is Live Chat server software sold for one time fee 99,999 DOGEs.
We permit to resell it or offer it as service (you can sell it in any currency). So if you have DOGEs then you can start Live Chat hosting business like boldchat, livechatnow or liveperson.

Doge doesn't need anyone to save it from something. It's perfectly fine
And if any coin would need your software to survive , then that coin need to die.
2377  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crimea on: May 08, 2014, 12:48:11 PM
Yeah, looks like that secret converstation with Switzerland president about freezing his $40 billions bank account really made him change his mind about plans on Ukraine.

Hmm.. keep dreaming about the imaginary $40 billion in the Swiss account and another $400 billion in the American account. And Crimea is lost to Ukraine. Forever. Come to terms with it before it is too late.

If you really enjoy reading through human history you shouldn't use words like never or forever.
Forever ...like what 10 years from now on , 100 , 1000? Can you really predict the future?

You sound like those guys enjoying their cheap BTC coins from December till now.

Be careful what cheap coins might bring

That turned nice indeed.
2380  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donetsk, Kharkov, Lugansk - way to Russia. on: May 08, 2014, 12:38:14 PM
Piece of propaganda?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Sloviansk
Wiki says he was part of international military observervers, he was released together with the rest OSCE mission.

We was bartered for imprisoned people from the People's Army.

Part of international military observers? What sort of joke? How come a soldier with a low rank suddenly become a international military observer? There are certain qualifications needed for that job.

Do you really think that observers go alone in those areas? How about you check wikipedia (which btw seems to be like 99% of your source of knowledge and out of the blue is not trustable anymore) and find out how those international military observations take part.
