2481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: September 08, 2021, 11:18:54 AM
If we destine to lose let's accept but if we  win it's a good luck ,an we all know in gambling wether you win or you will lose and that would be defend in the fate of your the game. Having no control or lack of control it can leads you nothing cause a person who greed to win and if not responsible to play in the gambling and all of the labored will be gone.
Well, most of the time the destiny was to lose and it's an acceptable matter in the first place. That's the thing most gamblers lack and the fact is even people who aren't new will still fall on that behavior - lack of control.

I think few gamblers only, because if we believe most gambler has that kind of problem, then probably gambling should not exist as it's not good for the majority of people. The fact that gambling sites are still profitable is because addiction is just a small problem and it's happening to some people only, of course, only those who are not responsible.
2482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: September 08, 2021, 08:46:19 AM

So is there an unfair judgment here?
That's what happened. They allow the fight, since they accept the alibi from Valdez camp.
Alibi should be valid that's why the fight continues. It's not us who will judge and though we think it's quite biased but they know their job and they are just implementing it based on their knowledge of what is right. Let's not talk about it anymore, instead, let's see how this fight will go and is the favorite really here has the big edge to win, or he is just overvalued?
Before I go to the issue, where do you guys put your bet at for this match? It's not available in Stake.com. The only boxing bout available is the Holyfield vs Belfort fight.
About the drug issue, he was tested twice and the first was positive then negative on August 30. But social media analysts and boxing community are trying to pin them down with the basic logic of he is positive, so he should be disqualified. "He cheated, don't give him a chance", something like that.
One thing is for sure, he is tested negative already so that's it. As long as he fights fair and square then the game is on. There is also a part that the boxing business is trying to get back what they loss from the pandemic and they will do everything to prevent postponing the fight.

It's not available also on the betting sites I'm using, if it's not in stake.com, then probably it's not also available yet in other crypto sites. I see the odds in https://www.betfair.com/sport/boxing/boxing-matches/oscar-valdez-v-robson-conceicao/30878073.. maybe anyone here is using it can put their bet now. For crypto betting sites, maybe they'll make the odds available 24 hours before the fight, just like the old unpopular fights.
2483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: September 07, 2021, 09:21:43 PM
This is what Oscar Valdez says:

Quote
"I have never used banned substances to improve my performance. I never have and never will. I am respectful of anti-doping tests since my time as an amateur and now as a professional," Valdez said.

"And since I've been a professional I have undergone more than 30 anti-doping tests, which is something we always ask for and we make sure that [drug testing] is in the contract, to do the VADA tests to keep the sport clean and to make sure that no one has any advantage."

https://www.boxingscene.com/oscar-valdez-i-never-banned-substances-improve-my-performance--160320

Yeah, we take his word, but seriously, how can someone who says who didn't take any ban substance was caught here? His A and B sample turns out to be positive, if it is only A sample, probably he get it from somewhere else, but both his samples are positive.

So I agree with some posters that he might have used this one to mask some other substance, or his condition coach forgot about the recycling calendar.

We are not experts in this area, let's leave it to the expert I guess. The fact that the fight still continues despite the findings, that would only say that he did not violate any rules and therefore there's no reason to speculate that he should be ban or sanction for being positive of such drugs substances.

What do you mean by 'experts" though? Urine and blood samples don't lie, he was tested twice and come up to be positive.

I'm not an expert in this area, but Valdez is not denying the fact that he has failed the drug test. But his defense is that he didn't used any drugs. So we will just have to used our common sense here as who is telling the truth or not. Science or Valdez himself, make your choice.

Anyhow, as @bisdak40 said, just a couple more days and we will see this fight. Still a must watch fight.

So is there an unfair judgment here?

He was tested positive for ban substances and does the fight still continues?
What does it implicate to the boxing organization? Are they now more on the money than the reputation of the sport?

Lots of questions in our mind now but it will never change the decision since the fight still continues, and probably they know how it would impact so it's not a big deal I guess.
2484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 07, 2021, 08:54:04 PM
The game of basketball, especially the NBA has a huge changes. Flopping was a part of the game even before, but because of the physicality soft fouls was usually uncalled. So, players like LeBron, Harden, and others who didn't get enough calls will exaggerate the contact, thus flopping will be the result. The calls was changed too, they added too many soft calls that even taunting an opponent after a highlight moves will be a technical foul today.
Also, the defense was also changed maybe because of the range the players can do to score today.

I feel like soft calls should be called. Because if soft calls are uncalled, physical players as you mentioned like (Lebron or Harden) will somewhat abuse that. That does not help in a tactical point of view in my opinion. Yes, physicality in a sport is important, but I don't want it to get prioritized over the tactical side of the game.

The soft calls like hand checking fouls are terrible for game flow.  It stops the momentum of the game and general watchability.  Allowing for some physical play also gets rivals going.  Watching in the 80s and 90s was so much better than now.

I really missed those times, players are not relying so much on their 3 point shooting, they are more into physical plays like driving inside to score and get fouled. I guess the NBA organization has realized that if they will not make it soft, their players will easily be injured and their investment will be at risk, so I don't think we will ever see the 80's-90's style in NBA again.
2485  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull market is back on: September 07, 2021, 03:44:35 PM
And base on the previous performance of Bitcoin during BER season, it is mostly in the pumps and this will likely have to see this year again. That is why I remain on the positive side. Though market corrections can't be stopped, perhaps it is a part of crypto, recoveries are still to see right away. I leave the confidence that we still keep in the range of $50k-$60k until the end of this year. But I'm not sure if it retains early next year as many people might spend and sell their Bitcoins during Christmas day.
2486  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I recommend a friend to buy Bitcoin now? on: September 06, 2021, 11:44:59 PM
You can recommend your friend any time to buy Bitcoin actually unless he is a panic seller.  Grin  If your friend likes long term investments more than short term ones, Bitcoin is the number one choice I believe. Your friend can still buy at this level also considering he already bought BTC after some time you posted this. We are still not in a bull market but the price continues to increase. I can't even imagine what would happen when a bull run starts.
It is important also to know the capabilities of the person you wanted to tell and to clearly understand that really it happens once you have been doing this. Because so many cases that blaming has been happening when they suffer losses due to their own fault. That is why we need for them to understand the situation and the risk in investing crypto so they can solely decide it with their well, not ours so this helps to avoid blaming each other.
2487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your investing Strategy on: September 06, 2021, 11:11:58 PM
Doesn't need long complicated answers - just a simple question:

Do you invest
1. mainly on price/the market trends
2. mainly on the underlying usefulness of the token/NFT
3. pretty even split of the two.

In my case, my way of investing is to split them into those two categories you've mentioned. Actually they're connected that is why I use them both as a basis if it is good or bad to invest to a particular coin/token. As of now, I also had chosen to invest on those NFT projects, especially those NFT games that are currently booming like Axie Infinity and Plants vs Undead.

Currently looking for more potential NFT games, you might want to mention some guys, thanks Wink
I suggest you not focus on NFT projects. I know it was your choice but it was risky to put an egg in a single basket but rather to spread your investment into more potential coins like Bitcoin, ETH, and BNB for the long term. NFT's projects are in their prime, many had made a lot of money but worried about how its sustainability. And besides, only NFT games had made the great pump while many of them just are dead now. You should think it again.
2488  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or altcoins on: September 03, 2021, 08:46:23 PM
Don't invest in crypto if you don't put money on bitcoin, bitcoin should own the largest portfolio in your account as the market is heavily relying on bitcoin. Try to observe the market or check the history, there's no time that altcoins had a good pump while bitcoin is dumping, it does not happen as bitcoin owns the biggest dominance in the market, hence, you can't neglect to invest in it if you want to be profitable and a little safer with your investment.
2489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL vs Staking, What is the best strategy? on: September 03, 2021, 04:52:07 PM
I choose hold, for me personally hold is one way to multiply money. i hold bitcoin and i keep it on binance if i sell bitcoin i will get a lot of profit from hold but i am sure in future bitcoin price will go up again so i don't sell it now i will hold bitcoin till the price is really expensive.
I know Binance is one of the most trusted crypto exchanges but it was not advisable to put your Bitcoin or any crypto assets there as it wasn't safe totally unlike you keep it on your controlled wallet.

I'm not sure if you are pointing to holding as staking where you could think about making money while holding and waiting for the price to spike? Most of us doing staking and it was of a great idea and even it was just of a few percentages given to us but at least our money is growing little by little.
2490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just in case on: September 03, 2021, 04:09:59 PM
Either it was a smart decision or not but that was their choice and I think they have thought it many times before doing this. Thus, if you are not comfortable investing in crypto that was because you are doubtful of the capability of this but these people who spend more money in crypto have thought differently from you and they believe that this is the smart idea.
Well, have you thought also the investing offline or outside crypto gives you the best compared to crypto? That is the question and that people have their choice where they become guilty of trusting themselves.
2491  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Give me some investment advice on: September 03, 2021, 03:41:20 PM
I will use about 80%(About $2000 per day.) of my funds every day to invest in cryptocurrencies.

Can you give your suggestions? For example, 20% btc futures, 20% altcoin, 60% btc spot.

And how are your funds allocated?
I believe that you have some idea how to spread your funds but thinking about trading and you were able to spend such an amount daily, You are trying to risk more as I per see. $2000 per day is a big amount, I can't imagine doing this in trading but if we just put this investing like 60% BTC and 40% altcoins, I think this was safer or the best deal to maximize your funds rather than putting this in trading alone.
I know that was your choice but you need to think about it and remember how cruel is the market is especially in treading, absolute losses might happen to you at any moment.
2492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spain bans betting adds - no celebrities, no sport sponsorship, no daytime adds on: September 03, 2021, 12:05:13 PM
I guess this happens in other countries too, IMO, sports should have a good reputation and it's not good to integrate clean sports to advertising of betting platform as there could potentially be a problem in terms of the outcome as game-fixing is happening in any sports.
2493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 03, 2021, 10:56:38 AM

It's a big gamble for them to really get the big 3, and it's first season together, the gamble hasn't paid off since only Durant was able to lead the team, Irving and Harden got injured.

So they re-adjust added more players in the rotation that can contribute and be a role players, giving them like 10 minutes of rest to avoid injuries and be healthy come playoff time. Maybe we can see restricted minutes on the big 3 as well if possible.

Good strategy in their part adding players who can add up good experienced in case injuries hurt them again,

Those players can play alongside with their stars and still can contribute and continue their rally. They are serious about bringing this team
back to conference finals and they are now bringing help.

Millsap is no longer young but the caliber as a two-way player still there while
if they can bring back Aldridge, that's again a good pick for them.

Nets will be full of veterans just like the LA Lakers do, and since they have the highest chance of winning next season, then they should continue to improve their lineup so they will not be called an overrated team. If Aldrige will come back, hopefully he will not become a liability of the team, I mean he should not be treated like he came from a serious health problem, and the expectation should still be high.
2494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Surprising price movement of BabelFish Coin on: September 02, 2021, 11:15:06 PM
I think babelfish is going very well as a new project that has been able to provide a very perfect breakthrough, so this coin is pumping very high, Hopefully SOV will soon build an ecosystem that covers all fields so that it can be listed on several major exchanges in the future, this way fish has a chance can compete with the top 20 CMC altcoins.
The only way it recognized this project to the investors is the use-case of the project. I'm not certain that a project has a high market value it is already enough to tell that it could really compete with others, that is probably a hypes only. But what I mean is to see how the project going to show in a few days, months and being consistent with it.
With this great market improvement of Babelfish, I believe this project could somewhat prove something to us. But of course, we don't need to rush.
2495  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador retirees protest against Bitcoin as legal tender on: September 02, 2021, 10:42:22 PM
Hasn't El Salvador already made Bitcoin legal tender? Because I've heard that they did it long time ago. And it is not surprising to see that there are Bitcoin antagonists. It looks like their number will never go down to zero. I wonder if Bitcoin price wasn't too volatile, would they still oppose it? Because whoever I see as a Bitcoin antagonist says that the volatility is the biggest factor for not makin it legal tender.
It has been approved by Congress and made a bill already. But the problem is that the government is somewhat forcing the people to use Bitcoin which makes people out in rallying. They have the rights as well and this is actually hasn't be made like that.
Yeah, I don't tend to agree with such a thing as it is just likes killing our freedom to choose, in fact, the use of Bitcoin is only optional.
2496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 02, 2021, 08:47:35 PM
We do still need to wait for at least 4 months if that December schedule is been anticipated even though its a bit far but still it wouldnt matter as long this match would really be worth to watch and worth to wait.

I agree that there's no such much action on that Inoue vs Dasma fight and same goes with Casimero vs Rigo.We would see some full action when these two boxers would collide.

They should really make people's interest to be worth to see this one.
Yup. The wait won't matter at all as these two are champs and this match is going to be big as the other matches that we've waited before. It is incomparable with the other division matches but the wait will be worth it.

And on this match, the expectation of most of us is that there will be that much action and that's what we're about to wait. Is there already details about the venue of this match aside from the date?
Just a prediction but most likely to happen.

On Saturday, December 18 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, USA Naoya «Monster» Inoue will meet John Riel «Quadro Alas» Casimero for WBO, IBF, WBA (Super) and The Ring titles in a 12-round bantamweight bout
.

Source: https://champinon.info/schedule/inoue-vs-casimero/#iw-modal

I was looking at the stats, and I think Inoue's reach is a good advantage for him, Casimero is a little shorter but if they both want to slug it out, then they cannot use their advantage but would only rely heavily on their power. Hopefully, this would really be the final schedule, right now, the only thing that could prove it is if its already aired in TV and Arum make a statement about the fight.

All of the info now is just speculation, but this is better than not seeing an update regarding the most awaited fight, the talks on Inoue vs Donaire fight seem slowly disappearing and people are now looking to this big fight. Good thing Inoue has finally made his decision to fight and thinking of punishing Casimero in the ring, and if Casimero would lose in the fight, he can still make some good money here as potentially it would be the biggest fight if his career.
2497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 02, 2021, 08:21:27 PM
I expected Billy Joe Saunders to perform better, as he had an unbeaten record. But he couldn't even last the full 12 rounds. And that was just three months ago. Canelo is still fresh from that victory. The last time when someone lasted for full 12 rounds against Canelo was in 2020, when Callum Smith (also from the United Kingdom) lost by UD. And before that it was Daniel Jacobs in 2019. Much was talked about Sergey Kovalev, but he got knocked out. Given this record, I don't have much hope for Caleb Plant.

I think the same and Team Caleb could have the same speculation with us as their ward is doing a lot of psych war and talking non-sense, maybe he thinks that he could irk Canelo and could not focus on the fight lol.

In this Canelo's current division, he could sweep this one and I'm thinking that he would be having a hard time campaigning in the LH division.

Canelo has been fighting like a warrior, if possible he will fight every month just to beat any opponent that would like to challenge him. It's his 3rd fight and he could still have a 4th fight by December if he wins this fight easily. I have no doubt about this guy, he really is a champion, however, since this is sport and this guy is still a human, upset could still possiby happen.
2498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dont get sad over what could have been on: September 01, 2021, 09:49:21 PM
Hey guys! I wanted to compile a post from past and current information given to me by others and advice given to me by others.

If you had cryptos in the past and could have made lots, to kick yourself over it. If you get caught up over what could have been, you will go insane. So focus on the current time. Good luck!

Nice advice, we can only correct our mistakes if we go forward, besides our main purpose here is to be profitable while we are investing, and losses and regrets are just part of the game, what matters is you learn how to play the game and make sure in the end you'll be profitable.

By accepting your mistakes and learning from it, you will likely improve and be more consistent in the future, not saying you will not experience loses again but there's a high chance that you will be more profitable in general and that would tell you have a successful journey in trading.
2499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The more popular Bitcoin is, the more valuable it is? on: September 01, 2021, 03:21:35 PM
Yes, the more popular bitcoin is, the greater its value will be. This is indeed the case.
That is why a lot of people are in regrets of not knowing Bitcoin earlier as they might become a millionaire at this time. Those who accumulate earlier and are never afraid of the risk of buying a scratch had been rewarded.
As the name Bitcoin has been published and promoted online, on the internet, the more it gains attention and increases the demand. It was so much to think that 10 years from now we might be able to see Bitcoin at $500k. This is possible, right?
2500  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Go About Crypto Trading For Newbies. on: September 01, 2021, 02:46:45 PM
Hello,
I've realised a lot of people have capital in their account to start investment in crypto currency but have no idea how to go about it.
In that case, I suggest for them not to try to invest in crypto as this will only bring them losses. Failure comes after being stupid, like if we wanted to make a thing we should also have to make searches how it works and how it was done. In general, it is our responsibility and a must to familiarize the thing we planned to for as this was only the way it gives us assurance that we are able to reach our goal.
