that surely points to the PSU then ?

What wattage is it ? have you got another one you can try ?
I doubt yochdog would underpower his rigs.

But the crashing is odd, I've had 6 on 1 rig before, all on extenders, and 1 on a PCI to PCIe adapter.

I'd be interested in what the BSOD says. 11.6 with SDK 2.5 should be stable.

All those are fail, and the thai baht chiefly because it is already a currency symbol. This is better: http://www.ecogex.com/bitcoin/

Ƀ

I can never get this symbol to work in websites and other online forms/forums so I'm not quite sure about this one. i could just be unicode-tarded.
To be honest, I'm not sure. In Word, I can use Alt+579, but it doesn't work in this forum edit box. (I get "C") I usually copy and paste it, same as with the Baht symbol. I could create a keymap to do it though.

Also note that the lower case variant of the above symbol is: ƀ

You probably need to install the FTDI driver if it's a fresh install.

Nope it installed automatically when i plugged in the BFL Single.

Right click Com3->Properties->Driver
Driver Provider: FTDI
Driver Date: 4/10/2012
Driver Version: 2.8.24.0

Actually that reminds me - .Net is an optional feature in Vista that might need to be turned on. If you get Windows Updates and install .Net 4.0 Client Profile, it is backward compatible with apps compiled for .Net 2.0.

This is a community of good and honest people, we will patiently wait for solutions to problems.
LOL what?
probably a bad translation. I mean that less ignorant and stupid. More people - who understand the complexity of the situation.

I thought the lol was more about "wait patiently" - I've seen very little patience in this thread.
Yeah that.

No its a fresh install -- i shrunk my linux partition, and setup a dualboot with the dell-provided windows vista CD, let it do all its windows updates, downloaded chrome, downloaded easyminer.
If it's just a throwaway install that you will never use again, might as well go with Win7 30 day trial install.
2528  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL "EasyMiner" Released. Reviews? on: May 24, 2012, 02:36:22 PM
Of course, I must add that Windows Vista is probably the worst operating system ever developed since the Big Bang.
Hahaha! So true.

would you be willing to sell just the frame??
oops just reread i see the price
Yes, asking 19 BTC, but make an offer if you want to. I'll accept most reasonable offers. It includes the mobo tray.

I will give you a free bump cuz that is a massive laptop. I really had no idea they made such things. How much did this cost new?

I really can't afford or use something that massive but I am impressed. If nothing else, thanks for showing it off.

(I just bought an Acer aspire cuz of its low cost and high battery life Smiley  )
More than $5k new, so whoever buys this is getting it for less than half off.

Has anyone used BitForce SHA256 Single or any of their products? or is it all hype? http://www.butterflylabs.com/product-details/
They're real, I have one and others have many more than me. They do take a while to deliver. Search the forum, there are literally dozens of threads about their products.

Bump + price reduced to 500 BTC!

You could try removing the shell of the cooler of your card.
This won't work the way you might expect - the blower fan requires special ducting built into the shell in order to work at all. Without the shell, it will just blow air in all directions, and not through the heatsink.

Someone draft an RFC and get it published - i'm deadly serious.

Get the IETF onto bitcoin and it'll never die.

If the someone has to be me i'll do it, i've worked with the IETF before.
Sounds great. For those that are new to the process, here are the guidelines that the IETF publishes for independent submissions: http://www.ietf.org/ietf-ftp/1id-guidelines.txt

2537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [1BTC Reward] help me pull a transfer out of "unverified hell" on: May 24, 2012, 01:25:35 PM
I can't find the transaction there. How do I delete a transaction using pywallet?

Under "Delete a key from your wallet:"
Key is the hash of the transaction you want to delete (type "all" to delete them all)
Type: Transaction
Make a backup first, since this sounds kinda dangerous.

It's the only miner I know of with decent combined cpu & gpu mining Sad
CPU mining costs more in electricity than you get back in bitcoins. I recommend cgminer for all your GPU mining needs.

ToS have been shot down in court many many times. Not armor by any means.
