2721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 26, 2022, 08:39:44 PM
Back in the day of 2004, Detroit Pistons built a team of players that were not seen as great players neither, Ben Wallace was undrafted as well, and many other players were drafted low too, and yet they achieved a championship.

It is not impossible, it is not like you need to have superstars in your team on each position, but it is quite difficult to do that. Like for example 2011 had Dirk, and nobody else played in the all-star game if I am not wrong. This type of situation is happening again to Mavs, and it is a very tough thing. I am not saying that they won't become good, they may, but it is going to be very tough to get that good.
2722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoins did you have (All time in your protofilo) on: May 26, 2022, 11:21:45 AM
I know this is boring but having ETH, BNB, LTC are the most proud ones that I have. I have a smaller amount of matic, avax, dot as well and a tiny bit of sxp as well which I still regret buying because it doesn't look like it will recover, but that seemed like a good idea at the time.

I know that it's going to be a big problem not to diversify and that is one of the issues that I have, majority of my money is in bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin and bnb which means that if one of them goes down for a reason then I will be in trouble but I believe them long enough that I think that they will be good without ever having any problem at all.
2723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs new features on the market on: May 26, 2022, 09:49:56 AM
Utility is the only thing that makes any NFT worth anything if you ask me, other than that they will never mean anything at all. I get that some people may have met it recently but we have seen NFT mindset with cryptokitties maybe like 5 years ago or so, which is why it is not a new thing to us.

Maybe NFT craze happened in the past 1 year, and that is why there are so many people so much money, but why would veterans do that when we all know what happened to cryptokitties after a while? Same happened to axie now as well, things that worth 300+ dollars a piece for a while, went down south so quickly. Even utility may not save them at some points.
2724  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I buy BTC or DCA other coins? on: May 26, 2022, 07:22:04 AM
How about combine the two and DCA bitcoin? That is what I am doing and I am quite happy about it as well. There is nothing wrong in doing it like this, you could make a profit by DCA your way into bitcoin, and even do instalments. I had a friend who put order on his credit card to withdraw $500 worth and buy bitcoin with it, I think it was from coinbase? Not sure which exchange but it withdrew $500 automatically on 2nd of each month, and bought bitcoin with it at whatever the price was at that point. He has been doing this for around 7 years now, he has SO MUCH money, did some other trades too of course, but it made him a wealthy person.

We all "probably" could afford that, would be hard, but could have tried it, if it meant 1+ million dollars today, but we didn't had the courage.
2725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 26, 2022, 05:49:44 AM
I am not sure if these two teams will provide anything big. The teams that go from bundesliga 2 to bundesliga 1 usually end up at around mid table and that would be the best they will do for a while. There is a reason why they dropped and there is a reason why they won't be good and they are the same reasons. When a team is not managed properly, it is usually quite normal for people to not find anything decent in those teams because it is rare for them to do better.

I guess that management will do the same mistakes, the team will not be getting richer and not going to find amazing players and we are going to end up with them being bad in a few seasons again.
2726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Is A Scam Like Terra Luna And Only Makes Millionaires Rich Who Hold 1000ETH on: May 26, 2022, 04:58:22 AM
Why focus just on the fact that you could become a billionaire with it? I mean what if I am just looking for an early retirement? First of all, I believe that bitcoin and eth and similar high stuff could still go x10, which means that there is still time to get rich from them as well.

ETH around 20k is not something unexpected, hell it could even break current bitcoin ATH as well, which is 68k, but in 10-20 years. So that means if I buy eth a bit every month, then keep doing it for 20 years, then we are going to be making a good amount of money and retire early and will be happy. Hence, stop caring about just putting 100 bucks in and make 10 million from it.
2727  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price with a 4 year cycle? on: May 25, 2022, 09:30:22 PM
Halving is something that we keep on hoping all the time but to be fair I do not think that we need to wait for the halving for the next ATH. I think the next one is 2024 right? Maybe before that happens we are going to reach 68k+ price and break the ATH price. That would be something we need to work for though, it is not going to be something easy and we are not going to be making a ton of money easily by just waiting.

We need to get in, we need to buy more, if not you then the person next to you, without the market buying more bitcoin then how could it go up? So, in the end, someone needs to buy and we need to convince those people to do it now and not a few months later.
2728  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid omicron version 2.0 monkeypox coming and markets on: May 25, 2022, 08:08:06 AM
I am sick and tired of this just like billions in the world. I do not think that we would have lockdowns again, and I believe that world is at a place where we would literally prefer to die instead of going back to pandemic methods until it's too late.

World has lived through some horrible years, I made less last year and making double right now and still not living easily because economy is so screwed and so terrible. This should be even worse, inflation may cause us to earn a lot more but living is a lot harder these days. I am barely living by, it is getting worse each and every month and I do not know what to do. If there is another thing like this, I do not think that I can survive it.
2729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How centralized stablecoins keeps their value? on: May 25, 2022, 05:08:22 AM
Reality is that Tether company says that they are willing to buy it back from you. Which makes some people know this, even test it at times, and since it has been proven to be true so far, if it ever goes under 1 dollar, so like becomes 97 cents, then these people pay bitcoin to get it, and make it higher, because they trust the system and think it will be 1 dollar and they can get 1 dollar from tether.

So, if there is a big drop, many will spend billions to get it back to 1 again so that they could return it to tether if they have to and get it. This chain would be broken in a second and USDT could worth zero the moment Tether doesn't pay up when asked.
2730  Economy / Exchanges / Re: New bitcoin fork on Yobit? This is another shitcoin on: May 25, 2022, 04:32:26 AM
I agree that nobody should be considering even a small amount of respect towards that platform. I mean they have been ousted as a shit exchange that scams people and there were too many people that lost their money there and didn't get it back. When they had signature campaign here, they paid so much money and many people participated and that was a big discussion, heated arguments ensued and many people got neg trust because of it as well.

There is no reason to follow up on what they are doing, I am not even talking about participating or buying or hold, I mean not even being aware of them and what they are doing because that is how shitty they are.
2731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra can Wipe All (Crime) Records? | Kill Switch | Protocol Armageddon on: May 25, 2022, 12:58:21 AM
I have no idea if they will do that, because if they did, they should have done that with Terra one, the one that crashed, take all the money and hit the kill switch and run away with all of the money they had. Instead of trying to recover. What they will go down as will not be a scam, many people will call it a scam without realizing what happened because for many people everything they lose money on is a scam.

It could be a casino they gamble and lose and will call it a scam, it could be an exchange that gets hacked for real and it will be a scam, it could be anything and they will consider it a scam. Reality is, Luna is a terribly managed bad project they invested and lost money, that's it, no complex story behind it.
2732  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries with the most expensive fuel | Greece's case study on: May 24, 2022, 11:56:26 PM
I have to say it's all about politicians and how people elect the right people. Places near that east Europe block, do not have politicians that are decent, and using that indecent methods to keep staying in power. Greece may be seen as a place that has decent people, but their ruling parties has always been terrible and never managed the nation properly. Whereas people in Norway, Finland, Sweden and all of that has been shown as an example of how great a nation could be ruled.

The biggest power any citizen has is their vote, and unfortunately many nations have citizens voting for the "most powerful person" by their logic, not the one that will rule the nation best.
2733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euroleague 2021/22 Season on: May 24, 2022, 01:30:14 AM
I am shocked about the game score though. 58-57 right? That is one of the lowest scoring finals I have ever seen in a while. Even though I do not watch too many euroleague finals, I can say that scores are usually not that this low. Both teams tried their best to slow the game down as much as possible, like use the whole 24 seconds, and if you score then you score.

Compared to amazingly fast pace used both in NBA and also in most situations for euroleague, this game has been a big shock. Kudos to both managers for being ready for such a slow pace, it is not easy to keep giving half court sets at all times to get scores out of it. Specially the last 30 seconds or so was a big shock, without proper timing for fouls decided the game.
2734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: May 24, 2022, 12:42:16 AM
The difference between 5th Arsenal and 6th United is 11 points. That shows you how top heavy Premier league has been for a while but at the very least each position got close to each other. Like City vs LFC, but then Spurs vs Arsenal and then United vs West Ham. These are all great things to watch for us.

You know why premier league is the best league in the whole world? Aston Villa would not gain ANYTHING at all if they won, it would not mean anything, they would be like 1-2 spots higher but that's it and wouldn't really matter. Instead, they won 15 million pounds by losing, because City won and Grealish and all of that (everyone knows this already). Yet, even with that in mind, they almost managed to beat City and make them lose the title, this is why Premier league is so awesome.
2735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: May 22, 2022, 08:48:29 PM
It's going to be such a wonderful day for sports lovers. Unfortunately games are all at the same time, wish they did it back to back so we would watch Liverpool game first, probably see them win, and they would be ahead of City for just a short while, then we would watch City game and they would probably win too but it would be fun to watch with a "what if" situation at hand as well.

I do not know what's going to happen but I know that I can't watch both at the same time. I did that double screen on the television before to watch F1 and a match before, and it wasn't really good, I kept on missing both instead of watching both and wasn't a fun thing so I will just pick one instead.
2736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UST will re-peg by next week Do Kwon interview on: May 22, 2022, 05:01:29 PM
There is small chance for something like this to happen. I get that Do Kwon needs to say stuff like this because he is the project owner and he needs to try to keep the hope up, the more help he gets the easier it would be for him, he would prefer it if people would buy it and make it repegged themselves without him doing anything, so he is trying to make it liked more and more and trying to gain some attention.

But, we all know that it won't work that way, we all know that it is going to be a problem. So, we should be focusing on the reality and not the dream he has and not the thing he wants us to do because that won't be working.
2737  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🌴Summer Hangout event for $500 000🌴| 🎁 Free BTC, BNB & BFG on: May 21, 2022, 08:29:11 AM
The summer hangout version is not bad, they are doing the same thing as they used to do with the coinhub and the partnership, because that isn't the real thing because it's related to betfury token and not the casino. That could be the most important thing and I would guess that the best thing about this version is that they are doing something great about their current situation but at the end of the day at least they got something regarding the casino part as well, so the token part is not the important thing.

I prefer that they would focus a lot more on the casino and they did that which is an awesome deal. I hope that they will continue with that.
2738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto crash (LUNA/UST) on: May 21, 2022, 06:51:28 AM
Market definitely reacting to this situation as well. Luna would go down a ton and it would mean that we are going to end up with something that would be a bit of a problem for everything else as well. I get that it is not going to be that much of a trouble right now as of the current moment but it is definitely not something that would be a problem for that quickly.
We just need to realize that it is not a quick thing that made Luna go down like this, sure the crash was quick, it was a single day that made it go down a lot, but at the end of the day we are talking about something that was coming for a long time and it was obvious to all the people who knew that it would happen. I knew that algorithmic stable would not work and never invested into it for example.
2739  Economy / Speculation / Re: A crash where Bitcoin wasn't responsible should be treated as such on: May 21, 2022, 05:30:12 AM
This is quite important to notice. Bitcoin didn't had any problems at all, we started with FED interest rate, and we had Luna crash at the same time, combine those two things together and we are looking at something that would be a big deal for the whole market and not something that would be problem for anyone in the long run.

So, we just need to understand that bitcoin has been great for a long time, this could be something related to other stuff and that could be the reason that we need to understand that bitcoin is irrelevant in this topic. Just focus on what we can recover and bitcoin has been going up right now and that is a lot better.
2740  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin & US stock markets on: May 20, 2022, 09:40:30 PM
Of course they are very related, because the reason why they dropped was very related as well. The resemblance comes from the fact that FED increased the interest rate, which means that all of the world got impacted from it and that was normal. I understand that there were situations where it is not a deal that impacts both of them the same in certain dates, but there are also situations where both of them are impacted the same as well.

For example when pandemic hit, both of them went down because it impacts them both and terribly, but when money was printed a lot, then both went up a lot because it was beneficial for both. These are the situations, sometimes both got affected equally.
