1781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 05, 2023, 09:46:31 PM
The good "welcome" gesture they had for Messi was a very important one. PSG is a French club, and there are many French players, namely Mbappe as the best one playing at PSG. They could have been hating him all this time all he knew, because his team got the world cup title and not France, so who knows how they felt.

But, they have shown true professionalism and applauded him and welcomed him very warmly, and that is definitely an important thing to show that the team is one as a unit and whatever happens at national teams stays at national teams. I believe this is going to be very important for their future, they will probably get a lot more success with this chemistry.
1782  Economy / Economics / Re: Third of world economy to hit recession in 2023, IMF head warns on: January 05, 2023, 08:55:01 PM
Recession is fine, as long as there is no inflation, recession means we are recovering. Think of it as if you are sick and got a fever, but now you are taking medicine which makes you sweat a lot more. Normally in a healthy person that much sweat is not nice, you would consider that is a bad thing, but in this case a sick person would know it's there to drop their fever by sweating.

This is the same, it is a distasteful thing to have recession, we would prefer not to have it, but if fixes all the inflation issues and goes away in a year then it's good. Remember that period between 2008 crisis and 2011? We went from trouble to nice slowly, it could be that slow again.
1783  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Louisiana Begins Requiring Government ID to Access Online Porn on: January 05, 2023, 08:22:20 PM
Speaking of cryptos with low network fees, they can be Tron, LTC, Doge and XRP. I think there are no small gamblers who use BTC, I mean if they will only deposit one dollar because they also know that they can only pay more which doesn't look alright anymore but if it was done for testing purposes then it should be fine. Majority of the sites don't focus on payment methods. For them they think having BTC and ETH as their main coin is already fine.

Well, if you are a whale gambler you will likely use these two coins than the smaller ones and they have different preferences such as if the site provides anonymity and then if they have better bonuses or VIP treatments.
1784  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that this AI is good for trading? on: January 05, 2023, 06:48:40 PM
I do agree that it would be pretty amazing for machine learning to find the good trades and collect them (and also bad ones to see how it works both sides) and then make it a great trading machine. But lets be real, in order for that to work, what happened in the past should have the same consequences in the future.

Like we have regular trading bots right now, things you could buy for a grand at most, probably cheaper, where you could do indicator trading and what indicators that were hit in the past before an increase, could be used again but maybe won't increase next time. That's the issue with AI trading, it can learn from the past, but future may not have same results.
1785  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone out there doing money by trading? How? on: January 05, 2023, 06:18:20 PM
I haven't in a while, but I remember 2018 and what I did and I can easily say that you could still make a profit during this period as well. All you have to do is understand the volatility of it and the ups and downs and find the price ranges between support and resistance lines and how it acts.

Usually the bear market is a long one and that means price may drop time to time by a huge percent and that would be terrible for you, but aside from that it could go up a few points high and a few points down most weeks. If you could buy from the low end and sell at high end and keep doing that many times, even those few points could result with a good profit in the long run.
1786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: January 04, 2023, 10:02:35 PM
2026 in F1 will be a very very strong year for sure, it will be like a renewal for many teams and it is going to be insane. We are talking about a season where both rules are changing, cars are changing, both inside and outside of the car is changing and we are talking about new teams, more teams, more races, and many other things.

It is going to be something amazing when the time comes. We are just in 2023 season now, so we have this season, next and a year after that, 3 more seasons with this and I think Red Bull will win it all, 4 in a row constructors and 5 in a row drivers with Max, but after that? After that it is all anyone's game, everyone would need to work hard to build something around it.
1787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: January 04, 2023, 09:21:42 PM
It is not going to be 100% certain in 2-3 games because it is totally different type league. I mean it is not going to be like half a season before we know how he fits there, not that long neither, but will be like a few games.

Just because he may end up scoreless on his first game won't mean that he is not going to be good, nor if he scores a hattrick doesn't mean he will be bad neither, it is not going to be decided until a few games later where we know how he played for like 3 games or so, then we can make assumptions. I still think he is not as good as he used to be, which means no matter which league he plays, it is not going to be that amazing ending for him overall.
1788  Economy / Economics / Re: Soaring fertilizer prices could see millions more undernourished on: January 04, 2023, 08:25:06 PM
The reality is that we are just way too late to changing our farming methods, the year is 2023 and we are still basing our food production on huge lands and tractors and farmers who would raise those crops.

I am sorry but this had to change long time ago into something that would be just vertical farming in warehouses and you could grow 10x more crops in 10% of the land required, and a lot more healthier that way as well since there won't be any pest or anything that would go there and bugs and dirt etc etc. It would be pure clean and profitable while being organic and healthy at the same time. We need to make that the common thing for sure.
1789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting events in 2022 on the crypto market on: January 04, 2023, 06:44:54 PM
I have to say 2022 events weren't really that shocking, but became shocking because people cared about it. During 2021 when things were looking great, I could show 10 things that were worse than whatever happened in 2022, but nobody cared, why? Because the price was going up and they all wanted to make some money. But, because we were going down in 2022, whenever something bad happened, previous days and weeks and even months were bad so they reacted to bad news even worse than what it was.

Even like someone selling bitcoin caused it to drop more than it should, because people sold ten times more than what was sold, as a reaction which caused it to go down a lot, when in bull world people would just ignore and buy more.
1790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is difference between Wrapped Bitcoin and Bitcoin? on: January 04, 2023, 05:06:51 PM
First of all, a wrapped bitcoin won't get you pregnant, lol. But aside from the joke it is just a method to bring bitcoin into other chains, it is not really bitcoin, but how could you trade bitcoin itself on Bep20 for example, you can't and in order to do that, you have to trade wrapped bitcoin. That's really it, but if you are that much interested in bitcoin then go do it with the real one, or if you are really interested in bnb and its tokens then do that, do not bring that into each other if you ask me.

Never made that much sense, you can't even properly take it out that way neither which would cause a lot of trouble during the transaction period as well, not really too smart.
1791  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2023 be another up year for Bitcoin? on: January 04, 2023, 03:52:24 PM
I believe it will be. I know it hasn't been that great for a while, but I believe that it will be a great up year for sure. We just need to end up with a good reason for it to be not a great big problem and in order to do that we just need to have some belief into bitcoin, if you believe it enough then it will happen.

This isn't just for one person of course, it is for the entire market. I mean if you believe it enough as a market then it should be doing a lot better in the long run. Bitcoin already had the worst possible year, we are not going to end up with following that with a big bad year again, it will be a good year, if not the best year it will still be just a good one at least.
1792  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price, January. $20000 or above possible? on: January 03, 2023, 10:16:53 PM
It is definitely possible. I see new year as a new start and even though 2022 was a bad year, that doesn't mean that 2023 has to be a bad year neither. I am honestly expecting at least 30k before summer starts and that means we have 5 months to reach there and maybe a 20k during January would be a good start.

In any case, 20k is not too far away and it should happen, it would give the year a good feeling and when people see it start to grow, there will be some bad news popping out everywhere by people who hate bitcoin, if market ignores it and grows then bull will start, if people still stuck to them then we will go back down, it all depends how we react.
1793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a lone Sports Bettor or a Team Sports Bettor? on: January 03, 2023, 09:44:33 PM
Lone, definitely lone. I do not even check the odds before I make my assumption about the game and that is much better results so far for me. I look at what games there are this week, on 5 big leagues, and then I pick my games and the teams and I go and wager on them, sometimes I parlay them, sometimes I do individual bets and all but I know which games and which teams I am going to bet on without even knowing the odds.

If the odds show that the team I want to wager on is high underdogs and likely to lose, I don't care because there was a reason why I wanted to bet on them before knowing the odds, so I shouldn't change after I learned about the odds neither.
1794  Economy / Economics / Re: BIS draws up framework to allow banks to hoard crypto in 2025 on: January 03, 2023, 09:23:54 PM
It is really not a shocker that Banks would want something like this. It is such a huge asset group right now in the world that retail investors are growing their accumulation and banks can't afford to let everyone do this. They need to make sure that others can do it as well so it would work very well. I am not really entirely sure if it is going to be right away, but we are going to see banks slowly get more and more of it for sure.

Their entire existence depends on controlling assets, and money which means if they do not and we end up with most of the crypto then how could they control it. I am pretty sure their 2% would be equal to a lot of crypto.
1795  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does money bring you security ? on: January 03, 2023, 08:41:25 PM
Honestly it brings the freedom that you want depending on how much money you have. If I had 640k dollars today, I would be able to live without working ever again, but I wouldn't be going to Italy and Greece for every vacation for a month each summer, that is not how good that money is, or won't get the latest macbook and iphone every time a new one came out. That money is not equal to that much freedom.

If I had 6.4 million then I would be able to buy all the new iphones and go to any vacation I want, but I wouldn't be able to buy any car I want and live in a huge mansion. If I had 64 million dollars, I would buy any house or car I want, but wouldn't become partners to a big company. As you can see,  freedom means whatever you want it to mean.
1796  Economy / Economics / Re: Ford Reveals How Much EVs Save On Fuel Costs And Reduce Emissions on: January 03, 2023, 04:28:33 PM
And this is just Ford, which is not world famous for their EV neither, not like Tesla at least. Sure all other car companies are working towards having some EV car model but that doesn't make them EV car company like Tesla is. So, imagine how much you are saving by getting Tesla instead of getting any other car.

I believe that even though I dislike Elon himself, he invested into a good company and grew it, we need more and more EV cars and motors and everything else so that we would grow more clean and also save money at the same time. If we could have this much profit on solar panels etc as well then all humans would go towards that for their home electricity as well.
1797  Other / Archival / Re: [POLL]What do you expect from Bitcoin in 2023? on: January 02, 2023, 09:24:05 PM
Honestly I expect it to not crash, that is good enough for me. If we do not go under 15k all year, then I have what I need from it and that is good enough for me. I understand that people have a huge increase needs, like they want to see it at 30k first, then even break ATH and want to make huge amounts of profit and I get it, I understand it. But that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with something huge neither, it's fine if we do not have it at all.

This is why I believe that we should not be really focusing on the current situation as a big deal, just nothing under 15k is more than enough for me, even if we stay in between 16k to 20k all year without going under or over, that's fine.
1798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT Speculation on: January 02, 2023, 08:14:32 PM
NFT as a general is not something that will go up if you ask me. It was a big hype but that's it, as soon as hype died, the whole NFT space died and will not recover. The idea wasn't liked all that much anyway, it was used to make more profits and people bought and sold to make a profit but not because they enjoyed it or liked it or found it logical, they did it purely for money.

Now that there is no money in there, and no hype, how could they profit from it? And if they don't, then why would we want to see it do a lot better? This is why NFT will never recover and grow, not with regulations, and not without it, it is just going to stay as low as it is now.
1799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Memecoin and utility - impossible or next stage of crypto development on: January 02, 2023, 07:05:00 PM
I think it is going to end up being a bit of a trouble when people realize that the only thing that kept these coins were hype and nothing else and it's not going to end up being anything better in the long run neither. I get that most of them want it to go on for a longer period of time but it is not going to happen and we will have to focus on just fundamentally strong coins.

If you keep checking meme ones, then your money will turn into a meme itself and you wouldn't want that. It's much better if you could just put it in something serious so that you would seriously make some money, it's much better that way. It's my preference at least, much better that way.
1800  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting Started on Bityx — Beginners Guide on: January 02, 2023, 03:49:23 PM
It is not unusual for people to be wary of new websites considering the situation we are in right now I mean it is clear that we shouldn't be really worried about crypto itself but all the things you use it for. And in this case if OP wanted to promote something or at least put it out there, it is normal for people to be worried about it as well.

I do not trust even the simplest websites that want to connect to my metamask, let alone trust some unknown new place with all my money there as well. We have seen billions of dollars worth FTX crumble in a matter of days, so it's harder to trust newbie places. Still a good attempt though, we need some new places eventually.
