3361  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What to do about people who believe that stealing is ok on: September 30, 2019, 02:25:05 AM
Glad to see you are back and active here again. Regarding your topic, the Western world is a high trust level society. What you are describing is a low trust level society. This is largely a cultural issue, so the solutions are more systemic and institutional than individual fixes. In my opinion a lot of it has to do with corruption in government and law enforcement. If the law doesn't apply to those in power, people have no respect for the rule of law any longer because it is only imposed on them and not used to protect them. It is like playing a game where everyone is cheating. The honest player always loses and that mentality is difficult to reverse. Of course there are ways such as personally imposing harsh penalties to send a message, but most people don't have the stomach for that.

This conundrum is one of the main reasons I am very much in support of gun ownership in the US, because even in low trust areas such as cities, crooks know they are rolling the dice and it is only a matter of time before they catch a bullet. This is a very effective deterrent that people often completely ignore when advocating for gun bans/restrictions. People don't appreciate how nice it is to live in a high trust society and how easily that can break down when it is not maintained. Even harder is rebuilding a high trust society from a low trust one once it is lost.

I don't think this qualifies for a flag unless they explicitly stated the info would be kept private. It is definitely shitty behavior and should be brought to people's attention though so they can avoid these projects if they take issue with this. Thanks for bringing attention to it.
3365  Other / Politics & Society / Re: While people stare at Trumps Ukraine comments, Biden is let off the hook. on: September 30, 2019, 01:48:04 AM
Don't worry, hes not off the hook yet regardless of how hard the media is trying to deflect. As far as your "at worst" scenario, I assure you it gets much MUCH worse for Biden regarding what he is responsible for. This goes way deeper than the majority of people realize.

I mean this is more of what I'm pointing to.

As the media continues to talk Trump Trump Trump, they forget that the start of this whole story is Biden. Though you can see that Trump and the rest of the GOP is attempting to point him out -- and to make people look at him.

How much deeper do ya think this goes?

Potentially multiple former high level officials with names we all know executed for treason deep. The potentially part has more to do with being unsure of the penalty that will be imposed rather than the guilt of the involved parties, that part is well documented. As I explained before, this is going to be the greatest political scandal in US history. Because those busting up this cartel only have one shot, this information is being rolled out slowly and deliberately.

All of this info has been available to average folks for some time if they bothered to monitor the right channels. Unfortunately most people have been conditioned to ignore these resources in favor of corporate overlord regurgitated content. Too bad for them they are going to have to start reporting the truth soon or they will be joining the line to the gallows for their knowing complicity in these crimes.

3368  Economy / Reputation / Re: TECSHARE is abusing the trust system on: September 29, 2019, 07:18:08 PM
... Not only do I have extensive experience with trading, I know people who make a living explicitly doing what Cryptosparks does, and his claims are not at all unrealistic. Furthermore I have been in every role relating to cryptocurrency managing a project that at one point had a market cap of over $10 million dollars and was the highest returning asset of ANY CLASS globally as far as percent gains for the year of 2014 under my management. So excuse me when I say I probably have more knowledge in this arena than you do.
...

You can do a quick google search on me, find my identity and go to any reputable hedge fund in Zurich, Frankfurt or London today,
and they will be happy to tell you about me and my trading record, but ok let's not digress so much here...

Cryptosparks is a smart guy and I like some of his witty comebacks; however with regards to his capital management offers he is at best an overeager total rookie unaware of his fiduciary responsibilities as a prospective asset manager, and at worst is deliberately feigning ignorance and misrepresenting many of the risks inherent in his proposition to sign up as many people as possible because it's a free call option for him with 0 downside...

If you disagree with such an assessment, that's fine, why don't you then meet his minimum requirement and make a 100 USD Bitmex account, and publish the track record here for the next 3 months (after all it's not so bad to make 20% / month Smiley ). I believe your statement that you are not affiliated with him in any way, and if you average even half of the roughly 20% / month performance he is claiming for the next 3 months, you will have made a phenomenal statement against your detractors, I'll also withdraw the neg feedback on him, and finally something substantial can come out of these incessant DT dramas...

Very proud of you. I am sure that makes you an expert on cryptocurrency trading and trading bots. This is all besides the point, the point being you assumed I have no knowledge of what I am referring to and you were mistaken. You and your new friends are doing a great job of stripping away all the freedoms people come here to enjoy so you can turn crypto into exactly what it was designed to escape from.

If you will notice you didn't actually even address my argument that this flag is arbitrary and subjective and rather instead again started arguing about how you think your assessment is correct. I don't know Cryptosparks let alone even support him. What I do know is that this system of arbitrary accusation and inquisition is not only an abuse of the trust system but is extremely destructive to this community. Complain some more about drama as you create more of it with your trust system abuse and your new friends.

You deleting the positive trust rating you left for me is a nice touch as well. Way to prove you don't abuse the trust system by only leaving ratings when it serves you and deleting ratings at the slightest criticism. Go for the gold.

EDIT: I may be remembering a rating from Kalemder

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2019/09/28/pelosis-house-rule-changes-are-key-part-of-articles-of-impeachment-being-drafted-over-next-two-weeks/

Overall, The Last Refuge (Conservative Treehouse) far right biased and borderline questionable based on multiple failed fact checks. This source is one failed fact check from moving to the Questionable list.

Nice source you chud.

As usual, not even an attempt to address any of the contents of the information, just a simple attack on the source (from a hacked account I might add). The usual weak failing attempt at refutation to be expected from the left because they have no actual principles or arguments.

- gets upset about an "attack on the source"
- immediately attacks source of comment without trace of irony

"Rules for thee but not for mee, REEEEE......."

LoL.

So what is Pelosi doing that is illegal again?

I should start a poll, "What excuse will Trumptards use when Trump is impeached by the House?" Then list the obvious options.

Exactly what am I to debate with an alt account presenting no argument except an attack on a source presented? Cute try at being clever, but no cigar.

"koshgel   2019-09-28      Right wing incel. Proceed with CAUTION!!!
koshgel   2019-09-28      TRUST SYSTEM ABUSER. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!!
koshgel   2019-07-05      Bitter soul. One of those guys that never leaves his house. Mind is so warped that semen is basically coming out of his eyes.

Avoid interactions. Avoid trades. I wouldn't even use escrow. Mental stability is a serious factor with this person. "

Certainly looks like some one presenting a valid argument and clearly not just some pussy with a grudge using a hacked alt to settle a score.

I can confirm. I have also been targeted this way heavily in the past, and banned as a result. Of course the reports I made were almost completely ignored.  More recently this hasn't been an issue, but a very large percentage of my reports still stay permanently unhandled.

I just wanted to add here that since this post there has been a very evident improvement as far as the number of reports I have been making going unhandled. Thank you.
3372  Economy / Reputation / Re: TECSHARE is abusing the trust system on: September 29, 2019, 01:33:16 PM
Just wanted to post here so that people looking to target me can't use it as a "gotcha" moment later as if I don't know my trust inclusions are public and they have exposed some crime I was trying to keep secret. I have removed Kalemder and Vispilio from my inclusions over their support of this flag. I am disappointed after themselves being targeted by these kind of arbitrary flags that they turn right around and do it to others. I am open to changing this later if I see a change in behavior.

Tecshare what are you doing man, there are hundreds of posts demonstrating the total unreliability of Cryptosparks' business model, it's probably now become the most discussed flag on the forum:

Check here, here and here:

From your general tone I understand you are completely outside the realm of financial services, and yet you seem hell bent on protecting someone whose business propositions have been debunked very convincingly by many members just because you can never seem to palate the possibility that you may be mistaken on any issue whatsoever...

And just like our old buddy Cryptosparks here, you seem to lash out with ad hominems whenever people disagree with you...

My advice to you, the trust system might not be for you because you take every debate regarding it way too personally, relax and move on.

It would do wonders for your psychology if you understand that being wrong every once in a while does not compromise your honor and dignity, it's just part of being human. Good luck.

The standard for flags is not some arbitrary subjective determination of "unreliability". I have seen no one present any evidence Cryptosparks is up to anything illicit whatsoever beyond mere suspicion. Just because most people think something doesn't make them correct, and as some one with a financial background I would figure that is critical life experience to have any success in that field. Bitcoin itself was nothing more than a joke to the world for the longest time, and the ones who looked at the facts instead of just its popularity benefited greatly.

Your understanding is incorrect.

I don't know Cryptosparks, he is not my buddy, and I have had zero contact with him before this flag issue. You will notice I am not using ad hominems when I am talking to you, but are reserving them for others who have a long history of attempting to "get me" at any opportunity in retaliation for various perceived slights. You really have zero awareness of the relational dynamics of this situation, so please shelve the sanctimonious judgment over my language. I am presenting solid logic based arguments regardless of my inclusion of ad hominems from time to time directed towards people who have more than earned the honor with their own duplicity and slander. Why shouldn't people being judged unfairly tell the people delivering judgements upon them to go fuck themselves? Is that not the beauty of the freedom of working for yourself? Being nice and doing what is popular and upsets the least amount of people is not synonymous with being trustworthy.

I was hoping as some one who has been on the receiving end of these arbitrary accusations you would understand the flaw in judging people based on popular consensus instead of factually observable objective information, but it appears I was wrong, hence my removal of you from my inclusions. From where I sit it seems to me that you and others now feel like you have been accepted into the fold and are just abandoning any principles of fairness and seeking to ingratiate yourself with your former abusers hoping to be included into the default trust cartel. I haven't yet come to a final conclusion as to your own character, but I am not going to support you while you run around perpetrating these arbitrary mob inquisitions on the user base by supporting these arbitrary types of flags in the hopes you get to join the popular kids club.
3373  Economy / Reputation / Re: TECSHARE is abusing the trust system on: September 29, 2019, 09:39:11 AM
I am open to changing this later if I see a change in behavior.

Yeah, mainly if Kalemder re-adds you (he dropped you on 9/19, surprised it took you so long to reciprocate) and Vispilio gets added to DT1  Cheesy

Those seem to be your basic behavioral criteria.

So if I add some one when they are on DT it is only because I want a reciprocal add. If I add some one who isn't on DT and later remove them it was because I plan to add them again later if they get on DT. Me participating in ANY WAY in the trust system is grounds for suspicion according to you and the other clown cartel members regardless of how transparent I am about it or how I justify it. None of the people accusing me of manipulation would themselves pass these levels of scrutiny of their own trust lists full of reciprocal adds and retaliatory exclusions, but of course they are above reproach and don't have to explain themselves as winners of the popularity contest. Everyone knows being popular means you are trustworthy of course.
3374  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flag - "CryptoSparks" on: September 29, 2019, 09:22:40 AM
This is the majority of my objection with these kind of "proactive" (arbitrary) flags. If there are not victims coming forth, then you better have DAMNED GOOD evidence to support your accusations. Just whole sale burning peoples reputations assembly line style is extremely corrosive to this community whether people realize it or not. Unfortunately people don't really understand until they have been on the receiving end of it. I am sure it makes the accusers feel like they accomplished something, and it is a good excuse to raise their own profile and signature spam arguing about it, but it is at the cost of driving out legitimate users, most of which who leave and never return while giving real cons cover, and they simply come back on a new account seconds later anyway.

Now I can already hear the autistic screeching replies "So you think we should let people be robbed before we do anything?!" No. By all means, start a discussion and raise attention to users you find suspect if you think it is necessary. What is not acceptable is burning peoples hard earned reputations in a sea of con-artists because you want to reassure yourself of your super scambuster status. I hate to break it to you, people who are getting conned will continue to get conned, no matter how many reputations you preemptively burn down right or wrong. Preemptively flagging people is like throwing out all the bread in a food kitchen for the homeless because bread often gets moldy.

Stop playing blind whack-a-mole with people's hard earned reputations. It is tremendously difficult to build a reputation where random people over the internet who don't know you will trust you with money in this sea of fraud. Have some respect for that. No one is going to put any effort into building a community that doesn't respect that because building a reputation here is very difficult and time consuming. People aren't going to make that investment of time and effort if it can be arbitrarily stripped from them at any moment.

3377  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flag - "CryptoSparks" on: September 29, 2019, 02:36:22 AM
NO BTC ARE EVER SENT TO US, WE CAN ACCESS THE CLIENTS' BITMEX ACCOUNTS VIA PUBLIC API KEY WITH ONLY TRADING PRIVILEGES

If we were to ignore the 5 btc loan request then that is true, you can't withdrawal your client's funds on bitmex, but you can make it disappear in a few bad trades, so technically thier BTC is at risk, it does not matter if you withdrawal it or lose it.

You could very well be legit and not willing to get rich by risking people's money but unfortunately most bot's creator are scammers who go by the rule " if the bot wins, i win, if the bot loses, who cares ?" - so you should not be surprised that people will tag for you this, think of ICOs, there are probably plenty of legit once out there, but what are the chances?

Your reputation and rank matter too, you are not even in a position to trade 50$ worth of btc without escrow, let alone 5 btc loan.

I am not trying to be mean, I just don't want you to feel bad, nothing personal here, we just learned from experience that promises like yours are usually never kept , and people have lost millions of dollars trusting random people with random trading bots, we are only trying to protect the newbies by being extra conservative, some innocent users could be victims to that, but that is life !.

So your argument is even though he may very well be perfectly legitimate, statistically speaking he is a fraud? What kind of wonderful governments practiced collective punishment throughout history? What kind of freedom did people subject to those systems end up having? The flag requires "concrete red flags", not a standard of "well we guess he is a con because a lot of cons exploit this business model, so burn his reputation because statistically the odds are we are right".
3378  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vid of Biden admit bribe of Ukrainian Pres. to fire prosecutor investigating son on: September 29, 2019, 02:21:07 AM
Argument by ridicule confronts you now Tecshare, and on multiple fronts.

So you must be on to something.

This is why I stopped giving a fuck what people think a long time ago. Most people are too intellectally lazy to think for themselves and too broke to pay attention. I have spent an exceptional amount of time following and learning about these topics over decades. It doesn't make me smarter than anyone else, but more like an athletes trains their body I train my mind.

When these shit heels try this cheap lazy shit it feels like some stick boy challenging a professional power lifter to a fight. People don't have to be stick boys, but they are too lazy to put in the effort to change that then call me arrogant for pointing out they are stick boys. Consciousness is a burden after all, and being brain dead is a lot simpler. Also if people learned something that challenged their belief system, they might be forced to change the way they live and view the world, and who wants that?

My tasers are for tobacco use only   Roll Eyes
Wait! Are we talking about the same thing here? Tasers aka stun guns?

...

What are tasers for tobacco?

In the USA there are many state and local level ordinances banning the sale of marijuana pipes and other paraphernalia. Businesses get around these restrictions by selling these items "for tobacco use only", as a result it has kind of turned into a joke over time. Similarly they get away with selling things like crack pipes in some areas by including a tiny plastic rose in a glass tube and pretending people are buying it for the fake flower and the tube is just packaging.
