421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Joshua Franco vs Kazuto Ioka WBA World Superfly (June 24) on: June 22, 2023, 07:46:29 AM
This is the highlight of their first fight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXMaJq64C6o both fighters have the same style, they love to engage and mix it up the kind of fight that you want to see in a boxing match,  the match is very close going to the championship rounds and based on the highlights it was Franco dominating the championship rounds, he should have won the fight because he is the one more impressive in the last two rounds.
I didn't know it was already a rematch. I watched the highlights, and now I can say that both fighters have a chance to win. However, the 'home court' advantage makes it likely that Kazuto Ioka will have the upper hand again. So, Joshua Franco is right - he needs to look for a knockout if he wants to ensure a win.

Although I voted for Ioka, I do enjoy seeing the visitor win the fight. Smiley

Let's just rule out the homecourt advantage this time because if that's indeed a real thing between their fight, then Kazuto it's already safe to say that Ioka was already victorious in their first fight but that wasn't really the case because the visitor, Franco, is giving him enough struggles to lose that advantage and even brought the fight into a draw.
422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 21, 2023, 01:20:49 PM
But still its good to watch how this prospected number one pick will perform since many expect that he can dominate NBA since he is called as generational talent.

He won't be playing as the center, I guess, as that would most likely increase his chances of getting injured. Wemby will be the number 1, and I'm certain that the team, the Spurs, will prioritize his protection. Considering how Coach Pop nurtures his players, I expect Wemby to become one of the greatest players in the NBA in the future given his gift, you know he is a number 1 pick for a reason.

Given his versatility on the court, he is best suited to play as a forward. You can see his stats here: https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/w/wembavi01.html
Based on what is written as his position, he is listed as a Center/Forward, but I believe he has primarily played in the forward positions in most games.

While his numbers may not be overly impressive, being a talented big man, it's certain that teams will pursue him. That's exactly what happened with the Spurs, who were able to secure the number 1 pick.

Well, what can I say, I'm just glad that this kid, Victor Wembanyama, has fallen into coach Pop's hands and not the other teams. Don't take it wrong, it's not meant to underestimate them but knowing how experienced coach Pop is, this kid will surely learn a lot from him especially now that he will start his rookie season when the next season will commence and we know how important this season is to the newly drafted players.

It seems that GBP and Ryan is going to be a disputed legal battle, Golden Boy Promotions Files Lawsuit Against Ryan Garcia, Lupe Valencia To Enforce Contract.

We know that this could be brewing for years now, but after Ryan lost to Tank Davis, it seems that his camp is putting the blame to everyone, even firing his training and now are looking to severe his ties with GBP and get out of his contract with Oscar.

Not siding on this one, I will just wait and wait will be the judges decision on this one. But for sure, if there are still fights in Ryan contract, he will have to finished it and then get out os GBP for sure.

I don't know what is up with Ryan Garcia these past few months because he is totally destroying his career just to save his ego because he literally thinks that he is able to fight and defeat almost everyone in the same division just because he got talents but in reality, it's not GBP's fault nor his trainer's fault because Ryan Garcia himself is the one who is destroying everything he wanted. Even Reynoso confirmed Goossen's story that the kid is just too hard to train because he just wanted to train whenever he likes and just wanted to sit on social media all day instead of focusing on his trainings and preparations.

Hopefully he can learn a thing or two with this dispute because I'm kind of sure that GBP will not leave him without having any settlement as it was stated in the article that Garcia's camp is complaining a lot which is now GBP returning the favor with a lawsuit. Well, let's see what will happen in the next few weeks.
424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do gambling addicts bother about the consequences of their actions? on: June 21, 2023, 08:07:44 AM
They all aware.

But, it's because of the addiction and they still do it. It's not easy mate, fighting addiction need a lot time for cure-team and support from the family. Without a support family, they're struggling.

It's really hard, for the case addiction.

Yes, I bet too that they are all aware of what they are doing. But because they are addicted, they cannot distinguish anything between right or wrong anymore or weigh some things first if it's good for their own family or bad as the only thing that matters for them at that very moment is to continue their activity by means of gambling.

Might be too unfortunate to think but that's their reality and without the family's support and help from the professionals, he/she might have a very rough and rocky road towards recovery.

I will never deny that a lot of high rank members are still into spamming and creating low quality post. But know that everything will be learned in time as long as they continue to explore the forum and learn from the high quality post of some reputable members. And by having DYOR, which i think is a must for all of us, we will always improve what we have learned and eventually share it to others so they can also benefit from us.
426  Economy / Economics / Re: Is poverty a lack of money? on: June 20, 2023, 09:27:35 PM
I believe poverty means you lack all the resources not just money to make yourself profitable. So if you are living in line with poverty, most likely you cannot afford to sustain your life at its best. However, when asked if you have no money but you have all the necessities around you, then you are not living ultimately poor. You just lack some money but when it comes to resources, you have everything you need and that is the most important thing, being satisfied on what you have and don’t look for what you lack.
427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you tired of waiting for the jump? Pls Hodl on: June 20, 2023, 08:56:27 PM
I have bee here for quite long years so now I understand how highly volatile the price of bitcoin is. And if you insist selling at a low price, even lower than the price you bought, it will always be a sign of loss. So the best way is to understand that bitcoin will have it own time to rise its price, and hodling it until it’s price become bullish is the best key to be in profits.
Selling your bitcoin just because you are already tired of waiting for a jump simply means you have a poor mindset in your investment. You should have known from the first place that bitcoin will not just keep on surging it’s price all the time, it has also its own time for a price decline especially if there are factors that suddenly affect the market condition. Hodling will make you profitable in the end, just trust the process and the high potentials of your coin.
428  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 7 tips to know about crypto trading on: June 20, 2023, 08:30:56 PM
Quote
_ The more money you put into crypto trading the more money you get and also there is a high risk losses without proper risk management in place.

This is not true, most of those who invest heavily in cryptocurrency only burn their used capital due to the wrong purchase of crypto that is thought to give a good profit in the future. But there are others who only used a small amount of capital and it gave them a good profit in a short period of time.

Meaning, it depends on the knowledge that you have in conducting trading here in cryptocurrency, not that you just have a lot of money is enough for you to get a big profit, this is a wrong big understanding of crypto trading.
Well, trading at a bigger money also means higher risk of losing if you don’t know actually what you are doing. However, if you trade with the coins with highest potentials and you trade at its best price, then you will reap huge profits after. So it’s true trading becomes more profitable if you are highly knowledgeable in trading and you are trading with the perfect market price. While it could give us some life changing profits, it could also be a source of life changing losses if we are trading the wrong way.
429  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Stop Teaching When You Need To Learn. on: June 19, 2023, 09:54:40 PM
Newbies should focus first on acquiring new concepts in the crypto market before they will be reliable enough to teach others so that their teachings will be based on facts and are not misleading. And to think that you cannot share something relevant when you have nothing important to share in the first place so always chose to learn first for yourself before others will learn from you. That is how teaching and learning takes place.
430  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your honest review of the Demo account? on: June 19, 2023, 09:36:19 PM
What is your honest review of the Demo account?
Do you think that should spend so much time trading on a demo account? I believe that in demo trading, there are no real consequences for losing "money". If you notice, the pain is different than the one felt when you actually experience a loss on a live account. Demo trading simply helps the newbie get acquainted with the trading platform, and it should only be for a few weeks. Compared to  live trading, demo trading lacks the ability to mental and emotional resilience. For me, the real trading education starts where demo trading ends. What do you think?

1. admiralmarkets.sc/education/articles/forex-basics/...f-forex-demo-account
2. http://tradethatswing.com/when-to-switch-from-demo-to-liv...rading-real-capital/
Demo trading will never be able to give you real profits as you are only trading not for real. So you have to experience live trading as it's the only way you will have the chance to improve your knowledge and honed your skills so you can take advantage when trading in the market. Although I have to say demo trading is quite helpful for beginners, but demo trading will never be good in the long run as it will only limit your abilities and capabilities to trade unlike when you push yourself trading even with a small amount of money as you are still susceptible to losses.
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste on: June 19, 2023, 08:46:48 PM
Yes!
you got the topic very correct and I do mean it because after my last thread, I was actually wondering  the essences of having all the knowledge  about bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large and still don't have the money to buy, I just feel its a waste of effort and such a person  with all his knowledge  will definitely miss out of the opportunities in bitcoin and I'm  on the opinion  that people still need to always have some form of money at all time to buy bitcoin especially  at every instance a dip arises and I want to know the essence of wanting to crowd ones brain Brain with so much about bitcoin  when such a person doesn't have any more to buy rather than seeking ways to buy?
Yes, it’s certainly a waste of time and money if you don’t have sufficient funds to invest in bitcoin in the first place. Regardless if you are highly knowledgeable about bitcoin and you have the best strategies to use, still that won’t guarantee that you will make money and buy bitcoin. The important thing here is you have to come up with a source of income so that you can take advantage from buying bitcoin because if you don’t have the means to invest, then you will never be good enough in  crypto investment.
432  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Luck is what you need in gambling but you have to get to work with trading on: June 19, 2023, 08:15:49 PM
Only those who trade based on their luck will compare trading with gambling or say that they are the same thing. They live in their comfort zone and never want's to learn new things. That is why they think that way.
Trading is not for everyone because it's not an easy task to do. While gambling is so easy that anyone can do it. Trading requires skills, analysis, understanding of sentiments, long term planning. But in gambling, your skills and analysis does not have any effects. Gambling is a win or lose situation, where in trading we can take risk management and control on how much we are willing to lose.
Uncertainty and luck are the main things in gambling. But in trading we need knowledge, experience, skills. So in order to gain them, we need to work our a**s off. So yeah, I agree with OP. While gambling and trading might overlap on certain situation, they are totally different things.
I have to agree that trading is not for everyone, unlike gambling that only requires luck and then you’re good to go. While in trading you need to stick with the rules and analyze the market well, and even use the best strategies that will work on your trades to ensure profitability, but in gambling everything is based on luck and chances. You may win or lose in the end, not because you have well experienced in gambling, it’s just that some might have been lucky or gone out of luck at the end of the day. That’s why some go home with huge gains while some end up losing all their funds and go home empty pocket.
433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: June 16, 2023, 07:44:57 PM
The news today is that Nate Diaz was pushing hard for a 10 round fight and finally Jake said OK.  Then Nate reversed his position and says he's fine with a shorter fight.  Not sure what the point of this was, but it seems to me like they rushed into the announcement a little bit and they're still trying to get the details worked out.  I haven't changed my mind though after seeing more footage of Nate boxing.  I think Jake will win and Nate will end the night covered in blood.  If they met outside of a boxing ring though, Nate would choke Jake out in less than a minute and I'd put money on that.

On one hand Diaz is fast, at least he used to be fast. Haven't seen him box but I watched some of his MMA fights. That said, McGregor was outboxing him in his prime, so I don't know...
I remember a few fights where Nate would start standing, trying to box, then get cut fast and start going for takedowns. The problem is this time there will be no going for the legs.

One thing is certain, both these guys are some extreme characters, you either love them or hate them, the way that if they were arguing about some stupid shit I wouldn't know which one to back because they both can act like assholes.

It's like seeing a fight between a snake and an eagle mid-air, which you probably know who got an advantage as it was fought mid-air.

That's just like this match-up, we know that Nate can be very deadly, but this is a different case because the fight will happen inside the boxing ring where Nate's talent cannot be maximized because he is not that accustomed to the sport. So of course, Jake will have an advantage on this and mostly the reason why I'm still inclined to give my vote to Jake Paul even if I know that Nate Diaz will probably give him some difficulties in the ring.
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 16, 2023, 05:29:02 PM
Ok there is a rumor circulating around that Canelo's next fight won't be Bivol and not against Benavidez as well.

Again, this is just a rumor, it is said that it will be Canelo va Jermall Charlo. Jermall last fight though is 2019, so not sure why Canelo and his camp are picking a inactive fighter and not even a true 168 super middle weight boxer.

Sure Jermall is a middle champion, but he will have to go up in weight and fight Canelo at his best weight.

And it seems that Canelo is really cherry picking his fight now or someone in his team did. So let's see if this fight is going to be developed and will actually going to happen late this year. This fight though might hit Canelo's legacy as he duck Benavidez and then his rematch with Bivol.

So far, there are two things that might explain why Canelo picked Jermall Charlo instead of picking some bad boy in the same division as him or at least active.

1. They chose Charlo to keep Canelo warmed up until they can establish a negotiating position with Bivol because as of now, Bivol shows no interest in Canelo because of the terms being given to them even after upsetting Canelo in their first clash.

2. Canelo's career is in sundown already and what they are doing right now is just taking advantage of Canelo's fame while he can still sell a fight while picking a much safer boxer that will match the equation. I mean, that fight with John Ryder might be a tune-up but that also revealed Canelo's current situation and most probably revealed the likelihood if he will fight heavy named boxers.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 16, 2023, 04:20:20 PM
~
To summarize, Bronny James' eligibility in the NBA Draft will take place in the next year's draft (2024) for the season 2024-25.
I guess this is also the reason why LBJ has a Player Option for the '24-'25 season, so that he can just opt out, on his contract, and follow his son because it has been his dream for a long time. On the other hand, he said in one interview that he is still ok if that thing will not happen. That him, and Bronny will not play in the same team.

Yeah that might be his final goal as he have achieved almost every thing in basketball. However, in a different interview LeBron also said that just because it is his dream to play alongside Bronny doesn't mean it's what Bronny wants  as well. He said he would still respect what Bronny wants with his career, whether or not he wants to play with his dad in this uniform in the NBA. That's perfectly fine, as long as he will be successful with his basketball career, LeBron added.

On the other hand, I guess coach Malone is still sour with LeBron and the Lakers. He keeps trolling the Lakers as if they were the team they beat in the Finals. I'd love to see LeBron's retaliation next season LOL!
Yeah, I don't understand why the Nuggets can't take Lakers from their mouth, even in their celebration they mentioned that the Nuggets are the daddy of the Lakers? WTF is that? I didn't see any animosity from the Lakers, they accepted defeat already. This might be the downfall of the Nuggets and coach Malone though, I mean this could bite them in their ass in the future. So just celebrate and enjoy but don't make fun of other teams because it's over now. You have achieved what you wanted. And again maybe in the next season they might not go back to back.

We can clearly see that they don't have the traits of a true champion and I cannot even blame them as this is their first time to be a champion but what they did was really unreasonable and the place they have now doesn't give them a right to make fun of any team that they defeat on the process. They should not forget that the world is not flat, therefore, if they are on the top right now, there will be a time that they will be at the bottom again.
436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: June 15, 2023, 10:28:20 PM
It's been awhile I try daily to make profit

Stake casino mostly mines

But it take back profit.. I have 2k balance.. is there method

To get 100 $ per day

If you want it to be consistent you have to enter a game where you can get an edge - either against "the house" or against other players where the host usually gets a small cut as well. There is anecdotal evidence out there of some people who are capable of create strategies to win with sports betting, however bookmakers are always adapting too. Poker might be your best bet, but you need to be super intelligent and spend a lot of time learning the game - which most people are not able to do. Generally you might be better looking elsewhere to invest your money wisely, maybe training yourself on a proper education course to improve career prospects.
I saw a thread like this one when the op was asking how he could be making consistent profits everyday like same as this $100. Although that was on the trading section. If op what to make a consistent profits which could be very hard, it means he would have to take big risk to achieve this. There are sometimes that he might make loses and if he becomes so desperate to make profits, he can lose more money if consciousness is not taken.

This is not going to be easy because earning consistent profit like $100 a day is big if he want it to be consistent. Maybe this can be achieved if he does not intend to make it consistent.

Therefore, the OP is finding a consistent profits that is somehow guaranteed in the wrong field. We must know that nothing is really certain if we engage ourselves in gambling activities because there is no way on Earth that we can know what will be results even if we say that we have a vast knowledge about every games in the platform or casino. That is still the same as we all know the likelihood but not the true outcome.
437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: June 15, 2023, 09:55:43 PM
So it could be a bluff on his end so let's see how it will developed in the future. I also seriously doubt that he will just retire. There is also this element of money in this sports and he is always looking for a bigger pay so most likely he will have to play hard and then declare that he is coming back, win-win for him as there will be hype on his name again.
The element of money. Make a fuss and suddenly people will pump a trend about your fight and the champion. It actually works.
Here is the champs Regis Prograis's take on this retirement of Teofimo Lopez.
Quote
“Nah, I think he’s frustrated,” said Prograis (transcribed by Boxing 247) when asked about whether he believed Lopez was officially done with the sport. “He said he got paid a million dollars to fight [Josh Taylor]. That’s terrible.”

“That is terrible money, so I don’t think he’s going to retire.,” continued Prograis. “If me and him fight, he’ll probably get 10 times what he got. So I don’t think he’s going to retire.
https://bloodyelbow.com/2023/06/14/teofimo-lopez-regis-prograis/

Personal issues, mental issues, divorce, and more. There's a lot going on in Teofimo Lopez's life and I doubt he could easily retire with less money in his hands. You are right @Yaunfitda he may be looking for that one big pay that will get him out of that problem. It may not even matter if it's a win or lose, as long as the money is there to save him from all these issues that he had been carrying. We saw him fight Josh Taylor in a dominating way, and if he is still asking if he still has it, yes he does.
Make that money, and retire in a secure way for a better life, I bet even his cornermen are giving him the same advice to end his career in a better position rather than now. Fighting whoever the champion will be after the Regis Prograis versus Danielito Zorrilla match will be the key to that target. It's just two days away.

I believe Teofimo easily earned a minimum of $2 million in that fight which might reach $3 million if the numbers did well.

Prograis is also bluffing. He said he wanted Ramirez and Taylor rematch yet he signed with Matchroom. He said he was offered bigger money by Top Rank but why did he decide to join Matchroom? Prograis is just talking about fighting the top dogs but in reality, he does not want any of them. Now he is challenging Teofimo as if it is easy to make a deal between DAZN and ESPN. And I highly doubt a Lopez-Prograis unification bout can guarantee Teofimo $20 million. Teofimo can actually earn more by giving Kambosos a rematch or a Devin Haney fight or a Ramirez fight.

They can make the unification fight happen as long as both promoters will agree but seeing their situation now, it's not a good time for them as they may be the current champions but their names is still not ringing a bell for most people to make their fight bigger. It's still preferred if both of them will have a few title defense to market their own name and make it more known in the industry.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 15, 2023, 09:27:33 PM
The first championship in history must be feeling magnificent for Nuggets.   Cheesy

Jokic had another incredible game and it was nice to see in the game to seal the deal for his team by 4-1. He got 28 points and 16 rebounds firstly. However the most impressive statistics was his having 75% FG made - 12/16. On one hand Butler played quite poorly for Heat. 27% FG made is just horrible. He was much better than this before the final series. Heat really needed Butler to bounce back.

Herro didn't even play but like I said before this wouldn't have changed much thing anyway. Because he just returned from an injury.

Congratulations to Jokic and Nuggets!

Jokic is fun to watch. I can see Denver winning 3 or 4 championships with this team.

I don't think they can win 3-4 more championships, because there are better teams.
If they match like this, they can win, otherwise it's very difficult.

Jokic is a unique actor, everyone who watches it knows it.

It's not that impossible for them to do that and having their 1st championship did made things more possible to achieve in the few seasons to come but considering as well that they just got their first chip, it's quite premature to think about getting 3-4 championships just because they are a better team and probably much better than others just like how they finished top in the West while also giving a hard time for the teams in the East.

There are some factors that a team should consider first especially their health because a severe injury mainly in their superstar will literally make the team crumble as I think it is evident enough to see that Jokic cannot handle the team in his own just like Murray cannot handle the team.
439  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is ahead is very dangerous on: June 14, 2023, 09:43:23 PM
If they want airdrop from Optimism, they must follow up Optimism's official website and channels.
The problem is, how can a beginner who is eager to get involved in the airdrop know the difference between the official website and the fake website?

I think the general advice should be that we should avoid airdrops because scammers are using the airdrop channel to scam beginners.

Most airdrops end up being scams, which is why some coins that advertise through airdrops are not getting the attention they need in the public market because most people cannot trust the project unless they follow various advertising systems that involve bounty and signature campaigns.
There is always high risk of losing for beginners when it comes to trusting and participating airdrops. Aside that they don’t know if the site is legit or not, these beginners may easily fall for scams since they always see airdrops as another source for quick profits. So if they can avoid airdrops no matter how promising it is, then definitely the better and safer for them.
440  Economy / Economics / Re: Rent or buy real estate - let's have a debate on: June 14, 2023, 09:21:37 PM
I have been debating about it with couple of my colleagues whether stay on rent or buy a property.

Let's assume, you are well capable enough to buy a new property through bank loan. Your income supports the mortgage payment so banks are willing to lend you money.

What will be the best route to take? Buy the property or stay in a rented place?

The usual appreciation rate of your property value is around 10% owing to the development work that are ongoing. For rented property, your rent increases by 15% every year.

What's the better option for you and why?
If you have a plan to buy a property in the future, then why not do it now especially that you are already capable to do it by taking a loan. However, if you have other better plan that you want to achieve first than owning a property, then owning that property may not be align with your plan. So it all depends on your life’s plans. If renting will make you profitable this time and may give you the current advantage, then stick to it and set buying a property as you future plan.
