5141  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin prices may hit $1 billion - Fox Business Speculates on: July 06, 2017, 03:08:59 PM
Yes, you are reading it right, it is not million.
Very interesting, while reading it I just recalled what some folk said when PayPal directors speculated for $1 million.

Like me, you also will love to read this twice : https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/fox-business-speculates-bitcoin-price-reach-1-billion

5142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take place in the wagering tournaments? on: July 06, 2017, 07:59:23 AM
before open competition wagering tournaments you need popular youre gambling site
without popular and trust youre gambling site, i think very dificult can get much participant
I too before participating in contests usually check the status of the site because there is nothing that stops the site from wagering with their own accounts and giving them the prize.
I mean if they loose or win it coming to the gambling site only, and hence they can always scam us in that way.
5143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your maximum win streak? (Dice) on: July 05, 2017, 08:10:41 PM
Just curious to know, how many lucky guys we have around here?

My maximum win bet streak playing dice with 49,50 % chance it's 16 in a row!  Grin

And how about you?

At 50-50 my biggest winning streak I remember was 8 bets in a row but for some reason I get those streaks when I am betting lower amounts or dust amounts. As soon as I start betting big, I have to even try and find one win like martingale. I am not claiming sites are fake or scam but really happens with me and nothing stops me from sharing my experience.
5144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: July 04, 2017, 08:54:46 PM
Ofcourse im putting up some limits on my self when playing gambling because i need to be productive and need to manage well my money. I've lost all my money once and after i put limits on myself and controlling my greediness I successfully earn a lot of money . im not actually more into real casino i way more playing on a gambling site and sports betting where i could actually win with a 75% chance.
You are right, I too earlier used to just become too greedy and if I reach 0.1 from dust, I used to think like I can turn this into 1 bitcoins and usually lost all. Now after setting limits, I have my own commitment that if I once reach 0.01 bitcoins profits I will simply cash that out without having a second thought or opinion and that works for me.
5145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is an altcoin on: July 04, 2017, 06:17:44 PM
Honestly?
How can you call bitcoin core as an altcoin? It was pretty much the first cryptocurrency that was ever  designed, so the whole situation seems clear, at least for me.
I don’t ever think of the bitcoin as an altcoin because everyone knows it was the very first cryptocurrency, the concept of the digital/cryptocurrency was introduced by the bitcoin so how come some can say that the bitcoin is an altcoin?
Bitcoin is not only a currency but a legacy, we better to understand this.
5146  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Orbitbuy.com - Buy and sell stuff with bitcoin on: July 04, 2017, 08:53:00 AM
Australia seems to join with Japan by legalizing bitcoins. You come up with a trending business at right time for Australians. Good luck !

Please move your topic into Service Announcements (option available at left bottom).
5147  Economy / Services / Re: So I Have this Idea (constructive criticism please) on: July 04, 2017, 07:09:32 AM
There are two problems in your idea :

1. You may earn good only if you have thousands of referrals under you. To keep your referrals active they also may need thousands of referrals under them. So, consistency will be too hard to achieve.

2. Legitimate of programs you will join. Some will pay for one or two months after that there will be no guarantee that your hard will get rewards all the times.
5148  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical Analysis or charting is accurate? on: July 03, 2017, 08:48:07 PM
I mean maybe there was a little bit of truth in these patterns, but almost all of it is just technical analysts doing exactly what they expect the pattern to cause.  If everyone agrees that a head-and-shoulders pattern is bearish, they start selling and then what they said becomes true.
This is how a trading methodology must work, if you do not take the decisions most of the traders are talking then you will be out of race. Patterns will show the market sentiment, if we want ride along with ups and downs of market then we should react to those patterns.

There is no meaning of calling them dump. Without them you will never able to predict accurately all the times unless otherwise you are an extremely lucky person.
5149  Economy / Economics / Re: [Economic discovery] What is the fair value of a currency? on: July 03, 2017, 05:37:58 PM
It is a vicious circle. Without control of the currency does not have a stable exchange rate and is not credible, and if the government controls the currency, it is not credible because of distrust of the control.
Since the traders that is the buyers and sellers control the value of bitcoin and no other third party can dominate it's value. Therefore nobody other than the traders can control the value of bitcoin. In this way bitcoin will always remain a secure option for/as a currency with fair value always.
5150  Economy / Speculation / Re: ...was that the dip ... now the bubble on: July 03, 2017, 04:54:52 PM
Dip and bubble will not happen next to next. A continuous rising may be termed as bubble but it should be confirmed by an immediate drastic fall. I can say bitcoin has not into bubble zone even at $3000 levels as there are enough backing investors for those prices.
5151  Economy / Services / Re: Got a new website, anyone want to advertise on it? on: July 03, 2017, 08:05:03 AM
5 bucks a month to have your ad on my site, bitcoin accepted. Send me PM if you are interested
Can you tell us something more about your website? Its niche and the monthly traffic it gets, the source of traffic, the country from which the site is most visited and all other relevant data so that the probable advertiser can decide fairly?
Yeah, no proper details/ $5 per month/ a service from a newbie, I guess no one is going to consider this offer serious. OP should add some reasons why we may consider his site for advertising otherwise this topic may go dead very soon.
5152  Economy / Economics / Re: What power does Traders have on the Bitcoin price ? on: July 03, 2017, 06:51:36 AM
Alt coins, and Bitcoin, deemed by Florida courts as "meaningful value tokens", behave differently in the currencies markets as other world currency.  Normally, if the US dollar rises in the markets, that means at least one other currencies has fallen to some degree, Bitcoin can gain value and all FIAT currencies actually benefit from the additional movement power that increased value has brought to the world.
Bitcoin is steadily getting importance in the market. Because many people are heavily involved in trading and investment and many more are following the example, it is entirely possible that bitcoin will leave the fiat currencies behind becoming the most used currency and one of the powerful currencies in the world.
5153  Economy / Economics / Re: Why litecoin had SegWit so fast? on: July 02, 2017, 08:56:41 PM
Why did litecoin manage to get SegWit so fast while bitcoin is still slow and painful.
Altcoins are just test rats and it is once again proved when litecoin went forward to test a solution for scalability issue in real time scenario.
Probably litecoin might tried to get attention of crpto community (and especially investors) by adopting segwit but unfortunately it is still strucking under 0.02BTC levels yet.
5154  Economy / Economics / Re: The legalization of bitcoin. on: July 02, 2017, 08:35:05 PM
So you are hoping for the creation of an independant state because of Bitcoin on an island. This is impossible for the sole reason that no state will leave sovereignty over a piece of its land, so except if your plan is to buy a whole country that will not be feasable.
Actually you are getting wrong when it is become a legalize it will strong your economy even more than before. Suppose it is legalize by any state than that state will give an acceptance later to bank to accept the bitcoin investment into banks. So it will keep protected in your banks. And the risk will be also reduced.
5155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading safely on: July 02, 2017, 08:02:08 PM
Trading safely is fully dependent on how much efforts we are putting into research and analysis part. When are are hiring someone for that taking care of those responsibilities like OP, I guess there will be no meaning on focusing for trading safer as it might bring unnecessary risks into trading.
5156  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What percentage of traders profit? on: July 02, 2017, 06:13:48 PM
50% of traders must be most probably accurate answer here.

But practically one high volume trader will be losing that money may go to some 10 traders too. Because one person's losses may the profit of another person but trading does not need to happen one to one manner. There could be more possibilities for one trader against multiple trader kind of scenario always. Hence I believe we cannot be sure what percentage of people are making profits.
I understand you are contradicting yourself.
But the real fact is we cannot be sure how much percentage of traders are making profits. Moreover there could not be any accurate data on this will be possible. Losses are part of trading, so a winner might turn into loser some other day.
5157  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any website that allows you to add any coins you want to a portfolio? on: July 01, 2017, 07:55:14 PM
You can try Coinhills (https://www.coinhills.com/), it has a lot of coins/tokens listed, an awesome portfolio manager, and a nice design. Even if there isn't a coin you hold, you can ask the admins on their Facebook Page (messenger) to add the coin, and they will add it instantly (true story here).
If it is allowing everybody's coin why it is so hard to contact them on a Facebook page. If there websites is too good then there is no place to send them a message though their own website? It might be scamming as well. So we should need to see the reviews of this site as well. Because it is important for everyone huge websites to add more options.
5158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cyber attackers asking for $300 in bitcoin on: July 01, 2017, 07:40:56 PM
A cyber attack that is spreading accross the world

https://www.axios.com/ransomware-attack-is-an-escalation-of-cyber-hacks-2449233920.html

Attackers ask victims to pay 300 dollar in bitcoin after their hard drive is encrypted.

In your opinion can it cause governments to make the usage of bitcoin illegal as they can't prosecute peoples using bitcoin for illegal purposes?
Even if they make Bitcoin illegal what will it do if people keep attacking computer systems using ransomware? They'll keep doing it and if they really worry then they can send the Bitcoin/never use it outside of Bitcoin-friendly countries and get past their law enforcement (mostly) that way.

Making Bitcoin illegal would do nothing aside from hurt the normal user, which is probably something they would want to do anyways. Plus it would make it much, much harder to comply with demands of ransomware attackers if there were no means to actually acquire Bitcoin.
Simple is that Bitcoin is anonymous currency. In anonymous currency no one can trace the address of a user that's why hacker are using bitcoin instead bank or other address which can be traced. So don't blame bitcoin that it is just a feature of bitcoin. Bitcoin is a global ranked cryto currency which has created his image to the world 5 out 5.
5159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Afraid of August One? on: July 01, 2017, 07:02:00 PM
Well sort of.  Because I really have no idea what will going to happen.  As a matter of fact, I am thinking of withdrawing my hard earned bitcoin for safety reasons. Grin  I cannot still understand why they need to do that.  Bitcoin is pretty fine and almost perfect.  What is the need to do that.
The need of segwit is that the transaction backlog has been increased tremendously and we need bigger blocks to confirm all the transactions.
And if no action is taken then bitcoin might not be able to survive when there will be a mass adaption.
Bitcoin is looking forward to upgrade for effective handling of transaction. So we should wait for that. As the difficulties come to bitcoin, some bug or fault might found sometimes then bitcoin always take a positive action toward these bugs and fault. So keep calm it will reduce the time of waiting for confirmations as well tx fees then you can happily use bitcoin fast transactions.
5160  Economy / Speculation / Re: Slow gains and stability on: July 01, 2017, 07:20:32 AM
The last couple weeks we have seen a relative stable price with slow upticks. Many prefer to see this rather than huge instant rises. I like the fact we have been holding in in the 2700 to 2800 range last several days. We know from past summer is a quiet period. If we stay at this range through summer I would be quite happy.
Get through August unscathed then gain some momentum heading into the latter half of the year!
Steady price is good for bitcoin progress. But bitcoin being a decentralized currency, its hard to expect that it would remain stable in a price since volatility is its nature.Even it remains stable,it would remain only temporarily for a very short period. It is due to its volatile nature traders gain profits due to difference in price.

Bitcoin isn't really stable, even if the price is not moving it isn't mean it is stable, we can never guess which movement bitcoin will take, even if you assume that the price would just stay there, the bitcoin price is really resisting right now but the price we had is an A OK price because back then bitcoin value is only in the 3 digit number mark and right now that we are in the $2000 mark value earning with bitcoin is great for me.
Yeah this is true we can never say that the bitcoin is stable because it is not the feature of the bitcoin. The price if don’t drop down it will be increasing, but currently I guess the span of the bitcoin price growing high has started and it can be noticed form the recent drop that how soon it recovered its price in the market and is still growing. So, this is quite optimistic for us.
