4181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 143: Dillashaw vs Cejudo Prediction and Info Thread on: January 20, 2019, 06:03:38 PM
Well, that was a quick fight. I did expected Cejudo to have a shot at winning but to be honest with you if you asked me if the game ended at 30 seconds and who I thought won I would probably say Dillashaw, I mean I know he cut weight and thats why he is probably feeling not full on himself and it must be really difficult to lose that much weight on a sports player in that short span on time but 30 seconds was a shock.

If the game went on to second or third round and Cejudo won that was something we could totally expect, they are not really THAT much different and its really predictable. 30 seconds basically shows how amazing Cejudo is on his standing up fight, he attacked really relentlessly in the first seconds, his defense and guard was a bit down and there was some moments Dillashaw could hit him countering his attack but Cejudo attacked so fast and so ruthlessly that Dillashaq didn't even had the chance.
4182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any valid reason to continue gambling? on: January 18, 2019, 06:13:35 PM
What are you guys talking about, it is the purest form of entertainment. It gives you highs of winning and lows of losing, it gives you graphic entertainment, it gives you the anticipation of whats going to happen, it gives you chatbox, basically all you can ask from an online entertaining thing.

Not even many mmorpg and battle royale games give you the feeling this gambling can give you. I mean depends on what you like, some people are gamers so I understand but to me instead of playing pubg or something I would rather spend 10 bucks gambling on a website 0.10 cents each time and try to make it last as long as possible before I bust out and have the time of my life. I know I am going to lose so I am not going to get mad when I lose since I get into it knowing that but it is also amazingly fun to do.
4183  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are Exchanges Launching StableCoins Market. on: January 15, 2019, 09:34:47 PM
Because tether has fall out of grace from crypto space and people do not trust tether as much as they used to and they should not trust it anyway since they are a shady company who just took everyones money and said "its here" on some bahamian drug cartel bank, they could be making millions of dollars just due to savings interest rates from all of our money and still failed to work with a proper bank in a proper country.

However, that doesn't mean exchanges want to send money to your bank account directly, coinbase does that and there are some around the world but the big ones like poloniex and binance and bittrex and so forth wants to use stablecoins to allow you to keep your money in dollars with the luxury of not sending dollars to you at the same time hence they are using stablecoins for that purpose.
4184  Economy / Economics / Re: what should consider before investing in a coin? on: January 15, 2019, 08:55:27 PM
Before considering ICO for your investment, I like to suggest you to go for considering this community's opinion about their ICO experiences.

Most people are suggesting to stay away from any kind of ICOs before some initiative from this community to be implemented so that there will be less number of scam in the names of ICOs. There are some steps will be available to evaluate an ICO, but you need to remember the scammers are becoming wise every day so that they will easily convince you to go with them for the reason of just a running away with your money.

I recommend you to go investing with bitcoin; it is simple and safer and definitely profitable in long-term. Learn methods to secure your capital before looking for multiplying it.
4185  Economy / Economics / Re: On Bitcoin as money on: January 15, 2019, 08:18:20 PM
Probably bitcoin is here to break everything including how a money should be Wink. Moreover, bitcoin may not be a thing for an average Joe. He needs basically something before get start within. Unlike fiats, bitcoin exist online hence he may need to have a data connection at least to start with bitcoins (assuming here no one could remain as a bitcoiner by holding only few physical bitcoins).

Bitcoin must be a money for some layer of society and its complexity will be eliminated over the time by new innovation or every human will become knowledgeable so that will be ready to adopt bitcoins on the go.
4186  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will market price be BULLISH this 2019? on: January 15, 2019, 07:32:59 PM
This is hard to tell. Many are disappointed how the 2018 was for Bitcoin and now they are expecting almost miracle in 2019. For the moment there are no big movements in the market and no signs of some big changes in terms of significant price rise.
Big movements may get triggered on the event of most anticipated things like bitcoin ETF. I read there are many pending decisions on various bitcoin ETF and some companies are really working hard to convince SEC. One or other, we are going to have ETF approval then we may start forgetting those 2018's bad things. I believe ETF kind of big things alone deliberately needed as of now.

it's only the beginning of the year  and there is still plenty of time but I wouldn't expect too much from this year. At the moment it looks like we will see current Bitcoin price range for a longer period of time.
This year started with positive but right now market is moving sideways. Even it is boring, I guess most people here are just watching how the support levels are holding. If they remain unbroken then we can be sure about positive things on this year which might be possible in second quarter of this year.
4187  Economy / Speculation / Re: Numerous altcoins and tokens also a reason for bitcoin's downfall ? on: January 14, 2019, 07:35:06 PM
I don't think altcoins lead to Bitcoin's price going down. The altcoin market has brought in a lot more money, so it has expanded the investment space of crypto. While it also takes some money from Bitcoin I think the overall effect has been net positive for bitcoin, in that if it wasn't a whole industry and instead just Bitcoin by itself it would garner a lot less interest for trading and investment.
But, just think about what an investor will do when he is not having any other options for investing but having only bitcoins. I guess this is what being emphasized here. I agree that altcoins are bring more new people into crypto space but not sure how many of them also adopting bitcoins for some reasons. I do see people invest into some altcoins and then encashing them into BTC or ETH but not sure how long they will remain as a crypto adopter but most of them will go for converting back into their fiats.

Here, we must note those only new investors who got chances to know about decentralized system and bitcoin's limited supply features may remain as a long term crypto holders and all others are treating this space as an alternate investment opportunity when they plan up short term profit gaining.
4188  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market is looking boring 2019 on: January 14, 2019, 05:53:15 PM
I will gladly take boring over scary Smiley.

2018 looked really scary, not at first maybe but even in the first months of 2018 we have seen bitcoin going down, it wasn't expected to go as low as 3200 which eventually we reached and was really horrible but it showed sights of bad market even at the early stage.

Right now, 2019 is just 14 days old and after 2 weeks we can't really say bitcoin is boring or market is boring since its just 2 weeks old but even with the first 2 weeks of 2019 compared the 2 weeks of 2018 we look like we are moving up and down between the same numbers and even if we do not go above 5-6 thousand dollars like some people suggests I would rather stay between 3.4-4.2 thousand dollars for a whole year rather than going down 80% from the peak. That way even tough we won't be making too much money we won't at least lose all of our money.
4189  Economy / Speculation / Re: The American doomsday by Tom Lee on: January 14, 2019, 04:07:07 PM
Tom Lee loves these big headline news type of talks. He is known for making wrong predictions after wrong predictions and if you look at what he imagined bitcoin would be by the end of 2018 you can see how he has NO CLUE about market at all. The most recent I remember was bitcoin going to 15 thousand dollars each whereas we ended up with 3-4 thousand dollars each instead. That is about 300% off from the truth.

Yeah, american stock market did dropped a lot and not looking like its recovering as quickly as people imagined but really Tom Lee is not the guy you should be getting your information at all. I understand people share his news because its hilarious and we all love to point fingers and laugh at a clown but really all it does is to create a fame for someone who doesn't deserve a single second of it.
4190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any chance that XRP can defeat BTC? on: January 14, 2019, 03:19:15 PM
Of course, there is no chance that Ripple could beat Bitcoin in capitalization. Bitcoin is the most basic cryptocurrency and it will always remain in the first place. Ripple is a coin that does not represent anything. As soon as Bitcoin becomes more convenient to use, then Ripple will not even be near of BTC
Market cap is just a number, who needs that. Let me imagine in your way, if bitcoin changed their basic unit into satoshi, then it will not be beaten by XRP Grin. But ,I am very much sure that is going to happen one day or another because bitcoin will be having price levels in millions then we are going to have basic unit as satoshi. Basically, market capitalization will not bring any value to a coin's ecosystem but people are considering it as a measurement to compare different coins.

XRP got a lot of real fiat money, so if BTC will dump very very very deep) They can cost higher than BTC) But this will be the crush of all crypto IMHO)
Good imagination. Usually I'm not replying to day dreamers but this time I just want to be different. If you notice, even XRP is being valued based on BTC's price levels. If bitcoin will get dumped them XRP will become zero. This is the basic fact here we need to notice but most people are not ready to analyse these but just want to have big day dreams.
4191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid being disturbed on: January 14, 2019, 02:08:14 PM
Contrary to OP I do not wait to see what the price will be after a dump. If I believe on a coin than I will invest time and effort and even money into a project and than either I will hold it until I need money or I will sell it right away as soon as I can. There is no middle ground for me, there is no waiting 3-6 months to see how it will unfold and all that.

Either I am getting paid right away and than using that money to buy something I trust more, or I am going to keep that money as long as possible until I need money urgently and the easiest way is cashing that out. The logic that we should wait around after the dump is senseless for someone who is still looking to cash out, if anyone wants to cash out the best time is the first day and even first hour of the project being listed somewhere.
4192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptomarket 2019 on: January 13, 2019, 07:11:40 PM
this will be another depressed year for the most crypto projects. I will not surprise if some of top 100 currencies will collapse in 2019.
Most probably, you will be proven wrong. Definitely this year will not be that much struggling like we had in 2018. It may be boring year for the people who are all looking for exciting rising markets but for long term holders there will be no big differences from last year.

I am expecting crypto may bounce back this year sharply. Most cryptos will have new ATH and like you mentioned top 100 coins will not be a big concern when they will be failing or even get collapsed too.
You are right. It is always expected to have drastic changes in top 100 coins. No wonders if wee see multiple coins will be losing their ranks from top 100 in coinmarketcap list. But, I am sure that bitcoin and few other major coins will never lose their reputation and ranking for sure and they may grow further in this year too.

2019 year will be crucial even have passed half of its first month, bitcoin is not showing where it will be heading. I guess we may get good sign before the second quarter will start. In between time, this market may be boring as most of the coins will be showing only sideways movement alone.
4193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are any of you paid your salary in crypto? What's it like? on: January 13, 2019, 02:03:47 PM
How do your employers buy it?
It will be purely depending on the country. But I'm not seeing any difficulties for this because many reputed services are available almost for all the countries but we must need to clear KYC at very first hand. I believe the decisions of paying their employees in BTC alone must be a big thing here and definitely not the process of how they are going to buy it.

Have there been scenarios where after they purchased the agreed amount the value increased/decreased substantially before you were paid? If so, how did they react to this?
Buying bitcoins and then paying to employees instantly is possible to overcome the bitcoin fluctuations. This is how many merchants are doing against fluctuations to protect their profits. People must work on avoiding delays while holding bitcoins otherwise they may see extra dollars or shortage of dollars kind of incidents happening.
4194  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short now = make lots of money? on: January 11, 2019, 04:38:36 PM
Hi,

I have no experience short selling but I debate shorting now. Good idea? Anyone with experience? BTC seems overbought...
Seriously ? This clearly shows how OP and anyone who agrees with OP doesn't know trading at all. Shorting while something is already down 80%+ is insane, why would you start shorting now. It is exactly like buying leveraged longs while we were in 20 thousand dollar levels.

It makes no sense at all to short it when the price is so low. I am not saying buy longs or even buy but if you think bitcoin is going down just stay at fiat for a while until you decide its time to buy but do not risk your money shorting bitcoin when its already this low, the most likely scenario is you will lose a lot of money because of it.

This is exact opposite time to short since the price is not really good for going too much down, it may go down only a bit but it won't go down too much like it did in all of 2018.
4195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Margin Funding on: January 11, 2019, 02:29:01 PM
Bitmex offers margin trading, you have to use BTC for trading.  I have traded there without any problem so far. Sometimes, the platform will lag but not too often so it is acceptable.
Bitmex by far the biggest in this matter. They literally control the market if you look at their short and long futures. When the shorts are more than the possibility of bitcoin price going down is likely and when the longs are more than possibility of going up is more likely.

You can literally buy whichever is the most at that moment and you can be right and make profits from margin trading. Do not go for 51-49% times though, that is too close, I don't even do it when its around 60% or so, I need to make sure it will happen so I only go to the direction that has 70%+ invested. When longs are bought 70% versus 30% shorts than I buy longs and vice versa I do the other way when shorts are 70%. They are that big, they do not care about rest of the market because their volume is insane.
4196  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fundamental or technical, which one you do used? on: January 10, 2019, 12:47:53 PM
I think we have to use both analysis to earn better profit, technical analysis is need to use to determine support and resistance area. And fundamental analysis need to learn and to understanding when we make invest crypto in long run.
If you want to cover long-term and short-term investment opportunities then you need to go for both fundamental and technical analysis. But, I am mixing up these two analysis for short-term so that I am making very safe trading regardless of I am making profits or not but I'm not losing my capital.

I am simply choosing fundamentally strong assets for my short term trading and when I am facing unexpected downfall then and just moving them for long term holding. I never book losses but sometimes I am enforced to wait longer than I'm expecting still I am not finding it frustrating because I am investing only what I am afford to lose.

The better fundamental of coin will be offer bigger profit and the price possible to going up to 5 to 10 times just in a few month.
Holding is always profitable compared short-term trading but you need to give enough time for it and moreover finding out high potential coin is really important key here.
4197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Africans Are Not Embracing Blockchain - Crypto ! on: January 07, 2019, 08:01:17 PM
Over the Past 9 years since Satoshi and his team introduce bitcoin and Blockchain Concept there are many challenge  due to government policies and  whole allot but Asian , European , Americans , Arabians they are  embracing it because they believe  its the future . 99.99%  of ICO are from Asia , America , Europe and Arab .  0.01 percent are from  Africa upon all there resources where  we need funds to manufacture still we are out of the Game ? Why Please tell me what you think !!
You cannot that in general. I am working with many of my friends who are all based on various African countries and I believe they are all strong believers of the future of cryptocurrencies but you are stating completely different thing from my assumptions. I am sure that you are lack of update hence please go for studying what is actually happening in most part of the Africa.

Many African countries are now alone getting their latest mobile network and high speed broadband networking. This could the another reasons why many people whom you met may not aware of cryptocurrencies. At the same time, different continents are having different level of crypto adoption but the good thing is even in Africa it is happening on its own pace.
4198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are dead! Yeah I mean DEAD!!!! on: January 07, 2019, 07:24:17 PM
The ICO is not dead.  If you have the mindset that put closure to ICO investing,  I will bet you will miss out on very good project that has lots of potential to be successfully funded and possibly get to create great value for investors!
But the real problem is identifying the very good projects. Instead of struggling with scams, I am also thinking many times just to stay away from contributing for ICOs. Because, that would be an easier way to solve lot of hassles. Instead of spending and then settling with ICOs, I believe many people will choose to stay away from ICOs if there is no regulation will be conducted.

I mean to say this community must go for an initiative to regulate ICOs so that we can have healthy environment where god projects will be finding right investors and it will make beneficial for both the parties.
4199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think this are the reasons why some persons hates Bitcoin!? 🧐 on: January 07, 2019, 06:42:44 PM
Due to the reason of bitcoin is based on complex technology, I believe most elder people are hesitating to adopt it. Recently I read an article, it was dealing about money should be simple and bitcoin is not. When bitcoin is not simple like any other fiats, then it is obvious like elder people will not be preferring it instantly. They definitely need their one time to understand and then to adopt.

Interestingly, this does not mean that bitcoin will be hated by those people who are not ready to adopt complex system. Moreover to get into bitcoin either for using as currency or using as an investment, definitely there will be no need of understanding the entire system. There are a few basics which are more than enough to get start with bitcoin. People will understand this and they stop their hating.
4200  Economy / Economics / Re: Is E-Commerce platforms will do a positive Impact on Cryptocurrencies ? on: January 07, 2019, 05:54:36 PM
I heard about a cryptocurrency which is going to become a partner of an E-Commerce platform. I think now people wants something more then just an idea. So it could a new Evolution after a Revolution.
The difference with breaking into e-commerce instead of sending money to each other which crypto is known for is that you can simply use your debit card to purchase stuff online. It means you can use your debit card globally anywhere you want online and buy stuff and get it shipped to you.

Without crypto you can still manage to get this done and its quite easy without any work, unlike sending money to someone which is hard unless they have some POS system where they can charge you money, sending money from one person to another is easier in crypto. That's why ecommerce will have trouble getting into crypto easily, some people who are fan of crypto will put up coinpayments addon on their wordpress and make it available but it is not an advantage, it is just an additional option, it won't create a new profit line for you at all. That is the reason it will take some time.
