4221  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining cryptos by harvesting body heat on: December 27, 2018, 04:01:39 PM
Calm down there Matrix, we still have a lot of ways to generate electricity until we come there Cheesy. I mean with the technology we have right now on how to generate electricity from both sun and water even wind we don't need to consider these type of things Cheesy. However, it is a marvelous thing to consider how one researcher probably said "I wonder how much electricity we could generate from the body heat of humans" and actually did a research on the subject trying to figure out how much would it be required to achieve such a power.

I mean I love scientists because they are the reason why we are all improving our lives constantly with each passing year but sometimes I really feel like some scientists are just using the knowledge they have into some funny stuff just for the giggles Cheesy.
4222  Economy / Economics / Re: Will BTC defeated in 2019? on: December 27, 2018, 02:40:04 PM
Bitcoin will not be defeated in any time soon. Not 2019 and certainly not 2029. It is just going stronger and stronger every single day. If you look at 2018 and say the price has dropped a lot and there is a risk you are missing out on the news that many huge corporations have been investing money heavily into crypto projects and they are still bullish on the long term.

There is a wall street backed crypto exchange now, poloniex was acquired by circle which is backed by JP Morgan or something like that, even the silly cat game got funded 15 million dollars this year. Basically the rich money has been pouring into crypto for the whole year because they know if they invest early enough they could make a lot more money in the future. They are not betting on the price of bitcoin but they are betting on the increasing interest towards crypto.
4223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Take with Vitalik] Does ETH need transaction fee? on: December 26, 2018, 03:51:21 PM
EOS model is great for starting out but considering crypto is aiming for a brighter future it is not sustainable in the long term.
If you get into EOS right now and stay only for a year and get out the system EOS has is PERFECT for you, however if you are investing for the future and even for your children than ETH is by far the better option.

EOS is working on that system like its mlm where you constantly need money poured into it so they could actually keep going otherwise there will never be any fee attached to anything which would make scale issues higher. ETH on the other hand could drop the transaction fee as low as 0.00043 cents per transaction and that is just ridiculous, unless you do 10.000 transactions a day than this price would be so low you won't even care about it.
4224  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is BTC dead on: December 26, 2018, 03:15:59 PM
People are unfortunately too attached to pessimistic approach than the optimistic one even here. Yes the price has fallen a lot in the past year however we are forgetting the fact that it had to increase insanely in order to fall, when you say bitcoin was once 20 thousand dollars and right now under 4 thousand dollars you are forgetting one important fact which is bitcoin rose to 20 thousand dollars to begin with.

I mean the price was probably couple cents at first, but if we move forward when the 2017 started price was incredibly low and hit 20 thousand dollars by the end as well. Which tells me yes there is a chance bitcoin could fall all the time, there is always that possibility but there is also a chance bitcoin could go x20 anytime and there is nothing that could stop it. We just tossing a coin and hoping it would come bull instead of bear.
4225  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Falling to mid 3K Will it go down more? on: December 26, 2018, 02:10:39 PM
This is the hard part about bitcoin. If you look at the dates bitcoin has moved from 4.2 to 3.8 about 3 times in the past month, it has moved even further down as well but between 4.2-3.8 has been moved multiple times. Do you know what that means ?

If you automatically buy bitcoins at 3.8 and sell them at 4.2 you could make profits and that was 3 times just in the past month, of course it moved even further down at one point but eventually got back up anyway. Hence people are not seeing the potential benefits of bitcoin at 20 thousand dollars, because they could make more profits and more quickly at these prices which is really a shame because we do need the price to go up. However since we are not going anywhere right now I have sold at 4.2 as well, haven't rebought much yet since I cashed out some and bought ETH with some (great decision) I am still looking for a 3.5 or so to buy more btc.
4226  Economy / Speculation / Re: no 1 reason why the bulls are starting real soon!!! on: December 25, 2018, 01:25:58 PM
The number 1 pick will be bitcoin. I wont go for gold or silver into the line commodities. They do not have that much movement anymore. Oil also have been in bad shape since some of them wont be sharing anymore.
But, most of the institutions are not thinking in your way. They do believe into some developing countries' stocks and business, governments bonds as their most prioritized alternate investment vehicles when their country's stocks are not doing well. Real estate still remains more attractive alternate investment opportunity compared to bitcoins as per the study on movements of institutional funds.

I will go with the new one and is now at a cheaper price. The best choice that will ever be for old investors.
Less than 10% of investors are only turning into bitcoins as of now to make use of the availability of current lower prices of bitcoins. This number and trends will change in coming times but we cannot expect big as diversification is the prime investment principle for every investors all the times. At the same time, due to the same principle, we may expect bitcoin to be part of portfolio of all investors in coming days Cheesy.

4228  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: As we all know, the price of the coin can heavily depend on the news. on: December 22, 2018, 04:02:55 PM
It is seriously troubling to think that any fake news could change the face of bitcoin. Right now we are doing well and all news that are coming out of western world is good on bitcoin, east side still has a lot of good news like from japan and Korea however china which is probably the biggest economy in the world now taking the seat from USA is not favoring bitcoin.

They have worked really hard to be the stocks, bonds, cash type of leader of the world and their system worked great, we were angry that they made people work under inhuman conditions at first but thanks to that they made so much money that they managed to better the conditions and living standards.

Now, we can't expect China to let go of all that and restart from scratch for bitcoin. Hence the news coming from there is usually not that great for us.
4229  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can we do 15 - 30$+ per day by trading successfully in these market conditions? on: December 22, 2018, 02:08:30 PM
You can never make a guaranteed trading profit ever. There is not a single person on earth that had successfully managed to make money constantly over time. Even warren buffet whose job is to invest and make money with money had years that he failed and he is constantly on top 5 richest person alive.

It means there is no guaranteed way of making money this way, you can of course have great days and you can have bad days and you can hope that your averages are 15-30 dollars per day and that way you won't be making 15-30 everyday but your averages can come to that but its still quite risky. However there are places that give you bitcoin back like savings account for your money and if you put up 136 thousand dollars into freebitco.in website they give you %4 or so return yearly which is about 15 dollars a day.
4230  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't love any Alt coins. on: December 21, 2018, 05:37:37 PM
sometimes, someone holds the altcoin they have until the price drops, because of that, many people say that don't trust any altcoin. Well, I think this is just a matter of strategy, and how you use the altcoin you have.
I have experienced that with many coins, but I always choose reputed coins hence I guess I do not need to worry on holding them as I am sure they will bounce back at any time along with bitcoins. Yes, altcins are not too bad to hate them but we need to be more careful while choosing them for investing. If we go random coins then I guess then we must need to agree with OP and should stop loving altcoins.

Coins that have strategies and the prospect i always take priority and hold.
Unique coins are always good for investing and for holding. I do focus for such coins to add some balance for my portfolio along with bitcoins. I guess I cannot stop loving altcoins and at the same time I cannot believe them to take more risk.
4231  Economy / Economics / Re: Today the FED will decide what the markets should do on: December 21, 2018, 04:35:54 PM
FED is quite important in our case because when the investments are let loose some of that money comes to crypto and that affects us greatly. Even if it doesn't go directly (which it sometimes does) it can be spent on some investment which the owner of the invested could use the personal profits on getting crypto as well.

Those billions that is spent on small establishments every year can be directly attributed towards those business getting bigger and bigger and making the owners more and more money and some of that could go into crypto.

Hence, maybe it won't be a short term gain but it could be a long term great deal for us. Hence the FED decision will always have affects on crypto either in short term or in the long term. Of course, the number one organization for us is still SEC and not FED because SEC could directly affect us quite marginally.
4232  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reversal of Bear Market? on: December 21, 2018, 04:02:57 PM
I really don't know anymore. I want to believe that bitcoin is finally recovering and it will go back up to the levels we are more familiar with but I realize it only went up to the level it was a week ago. The price was moving between 4200 and 3800 constantly just a week ago and right now we are happy that it reached to 4 thousand dollars. I don't know what to feel about it anymore because I became numb to the prices after the price dropped so significantly.

I do hope it will keep going up but do not forget the eternal taught on price moves, if something goes 50% lower it needs to recover 100% reach back to the initial price, so when bitcoin went up 35% or so in the past week that means it dropped 17.5% previously. We need at least a %500 increase to go back to a good level.
4233  Economy / Speculation / Re: ichimoku cloud says 3100$ is the cheapest bitcoin will ever be on: December 20, 2018, 04:13:55 PM
Like ever in history ? Or for now ? Ichimoku can't show you what the price will be in 2030 or something, of course can't even in 2019 properly but I just wanted to give an exaggerated example. This means 3100 can't be achieved these days, probably won't go down that much, however if the price goes up a bit and than another whale who bought a lot during the sub 4000 levels could potentially sell all of their coins all at once (again) and create a bear run that will continue with the panic sellers doing their thing and we can be under 3100 once again.

Ichimoku is here for the short term possibilities, but when you put in extra unexpected things into play there is nothing that can keep bitcoin over 3100 (technically speaking). That being said, I still think bitcoin can go back to 6500 thousand dollar levels without a problem.
4234  Economy / Speculation / Re: The rally will eventually end with a dip to at least $5.5K //3K on: December 15, 2018, 05:11:25 PM
Jesus christ dude knew it will end with 3k when it was last year. It has been over a year now and he is spot on correct. I know there are a million people out there doing all kinds of estimates and eventually one of the has to be true but being spot on correct after a whole year is just insane. Do you know how many silly and insane things had to happen to get us here ?

I mean this dude didn't put the calculations of what bitcoin cash war could bring us and how craig could sell thousands of bitcoin all at the same tim dropping the price in half an hour and so forth, he just assumed the price can't sustain up there and had to drop. No matter what will happen from now on I still congratulate him on this guess, it is by far one of the best ones I have ever seen in my 6 years of crypto world.
4235  Economy / Economics / Re: Impact of USDC - Circle - & other Stable coins. Dangerous. on: December 12, 2018, 08:59:24 AM
Circle may not be as horrible as tether if you ask me. Tether was a standalone "company" that is working to get money as much as they can from you and sell their tether for dollars and when they get the dollars even if they really have one on one ratio of tether and dollars they can still make a ton of money from interest rates and investments if they are smart with it and that means even on a worse scenario 1% profit yearly from it.

However, Circle is not like that, circle is an app that is backed by wall street which means they have all the money in the world and even if you give them your money and they use it for investments like an insurance company it is still at safe hands because they are backed by wall street and you will get your money back from them one way or another. Circle has that "trust" aspect that tether will never have with their offshore banks.
4236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Analysis on: November 25, 2018, 08:34:40 AM
To be honest, I don't see any bull runs at the end of the year. Worst, this whole drama of Bitcoin Cash might still be negatively affecting us as I'm expecting the price to continue to go down as their war is not over. In order to achieved a bull run, we need something to trigger it, might be Bakkt or ETF approval, but that is still up in the air and no one will know when the SEC will approve the CBoE ETF.
Same here, if we really want to be realistic with the way the market is going, even if we are going to see any serious movement upward, there would only be some little possibility of seeing the market consolidating between $3000 and $5000 for a while before we start seeing any major increase in value.

Anything that would bring about any sharp increase in the price of bitcoin right now would rather end up being a fantastic news that could bring about some crazy level of adoption, but at the same time, we still have to realize that the institutions really want to enter the market, and they have a chance of letting this play out until they are all in.
4237  Economy / Speculation / Re: crytpto hedgefunds are shutting down massively on: November 24, 2018, 04:13:46 PM
Crypto hedgefunds are really useless when it comes to making a difference in the market at the scale regular hedgefunds could do.

Right now, we are looking at hedgefunds like JP Morgans and so forth and see that the crypto hedgefunds we know are quite tiny and unimportant in a market this big. We need to get these incredibly big companies to get their money into bitcoin and crypto together so we could see a real increase in both the volume and the number of transactions plus the price that will be affected by this.

Normally in order to make any difference in crypto world there needs to be billions of dollars changing hands in order to make a difference and right now these crypto hedgefunds do not provide that type of amount at all and them shutting down doesn't make a dent in the market as well.
4238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Make money with martingale applied to dice game ? on: November 22, 2018, 12:42:58 PM
Hello, I know martingale  is useless for long term for dice game  but   if you have a big bank and can support  1 serie of 20 loose, you will always win no ,?
The world record  for the roulette is one serie of  26 red , it will never happen again, the odd are just very low
So if we   do martingale  with a bank that can support  20-25 loose, we will definitly make money
Keep deceiving yourself and you will never be able to get anything but losses in the long run. No matter the big bank you want to think you have, there is something they call long streaks and you need to understand that when it comes to martingale, at every point in time, you are doubling your chances of losing the more, with just only a small win.

Put the odds together and you will realize it is a whole lot not in your favor at the end of the day which is why it is always easier to lose big while having the chance to win small. There is no strategy that can make you win big in gambling, and no matter the strategy the chances of losing is still always going to be higher than winning.
4239  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2014 vs 2018 on: November 19, 2018, 03:08:21 PM
The chart is a bit misleading, the price didn't stayed under 200 or so dollars for a long time, yeah it didn't reached the 1200 dollar levels for a long time but it was still going up a bit compared to what it dropped. Look at what it was during the may 2014 times and January 2015 times and compare that to rest of the chart, it wasn't staying stable it was still gradually going up but instead of going high at once in half an hour it went up over couple of years.

I wouldn't mind bitcoin going up slowly over years, I can take 5 thousand as long as I know it will go up a thousand dollars on average every single year. Look at January 16 to January 17, the price went up a lot between those times too but the only difference is we are so used to it going up like that in a week that we are not phased by it going up like that over a whole year. Let's hope it goes up like that this year, I will be happy with that.
4240  Economy / Economics / Re: Some guy thinks the dollar is the only currency and bitcoin doesn’t fork on: November 17, 2018, 02:23:13 PM
People who have no idea about bitcoin talk about bitcoin all the time. I remember fox news once talked about 4chan like it was some person's nickname, they literally aired a news about 4chan without actually looking up what 4chan is on national television in front of millions of viewers.

Many of whom did not know what 4chan was and they believed it was actually a person with a 4chan nickname, how could they not, they did not know it before and it was the first knowledge that was given to them.

Same happens to bitcoin all the time, one of my closest friends still keep saying bitcoin is a scam and a complex one but instead of someone stealing from you in this scam everyone steals from each other, well at least he understands the decentralized part, he just thinks its not a decentralized currency, its a decentralized scam Cheesy which is funny and sometimes actually true but doesn't shed a single light on positives of using bitcoin.
