542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 10, 2016, 12:43:08 AM
Shhhhhhhhh Grin

I guess everybody is waiting.  I just had a little nibble.
543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expedia no longer accepts bitcoins on: May 09, 2016, 11:45:56 PM
When you're dealing with a company like Expedia, you can expect customer service in regard to Bitcoin to go down. Bitcoin has been banned in some states of the US (like New York) abd the powers at be want it to stay that way. Central bankers obviously persuaded Expedia to cease accepting Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not banned in New York.  Why you lie?

As to the rest of your post.........Wait is it April Fools?
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 09, 2016, 12:25:36 AM
it alwasys  saddening to see investor being skinned by whale...

Are you actually a noob?

Cryptocurrencies are volatile but actual investors never get 'skinned' by swings, only inferior traders trying to compete with superior traders. The same applies to cryptocurrencies, stocks, metals, or anything else.

You analyze long term prospects, buy, put the coins into cold storage, and unless long-term prospects change (which happens infrequently) and the actual hard part, wait and do nothing. Short term swing are of no consequence whatsoever.

I'm good at the hard part Grin  Actually I also donate money as it might shorten the waiting time Wink

How come this community dont have at least Avatar campaign?
Youtube video?
Such good money but poor marketing strategy.

I participate in an unpaid sig campaign that nobody else designed or asked for.  There are many others that take similar initiative on their own.  Whatever strikes their fancy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In other news; I have no idea where the price is going near term.  All eyes seem to be on btc.  I still have almost all my btc that is earmarked for XMR and it will be spent.  I won't know when until it happens.  By then I could have even more to spend Cool
545  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: iPayYou Launches New Bitcoin Wallet, With Ability to Cancel Transactions on: May 08, 2016, 11:59:45 PM
Which sites are 0 confirmation? I don't know of any. It's also very difficult to double-spend a transaction after about 10 seconds provided there was a minimum transaction fee.

Old man lyin' by the side of the road
Where the lorries rollin' by
Blue moon sinkin' from the weight of the load
And the buildings scrape the sky
Cold wind rippin' on the valley at dawn
And the morning paper flies
Dead man lyin' by the side of the road
With the daylight in his eyes
Don't let it bring you down
It's only castle's burning
Find someone who's turning
And you will come around

Will 450 hodl? Cry

The partial lyrics you give are slightly off but anyway, thank you.  Who cares about 450.

549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hoaxtoshi aka Craig Wright busted - collection of quality research posts on: May 08, 2016, 11:53:13 AM

This is from Dec. and has nothing to do with the recent claims by CW.

Are you posting this for historical perspective for those that either missed the first round of CW or have forgotten it?

550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: May 08, 2016, 09:52:42 AM
Perhaps a reason is that newer posters have had less time to post on this 2 year old thread.  Yes there is not a linear correlation between the number of posts and the time since registered.

yet having; Number of posts by brand new members:   0   is not surprising.
551  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: iPayYou Launches New Bitcoin Wallet, With Ability to Cancel Transactions on: May 07, 2016, 11:20:50 PM
I still don't quite understand how the cancellation of transaction works as the article didn't provide much information about it, or maybe my comprehension is just really that bad. I personally do think this may pose a threat to merchants when receiving bitcoins such like the chargeback feature in PayPal. Although I'm sure that those two are entirely different.
Merchants can wait till they get atleast one confirmation after which transaction can not be canceled. So it would provide safeguards to both sender and receiver.

The problem is that there are some services that proceed with a digital transaction once your btc transaction is broadcast and before it is confirmed.

What a shocker that Craig wasn't Satoshi...

Maybe that's what he wants you to believe Cool

Now that the world knows the Satoshi coins are safely tucked away in the bosom of the Tulip Trust...
Are they?

Or aren't they?  Undecided

You gotta buy into Wright's phoney story and lacking evidence if you are going to go with the seemingly made up Tulip Trust scenario.

Or do you?

Why are you having such a difficult time with this?  You blind or something?
557  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 06, 2016, 11:19:38 PM
Relax guys the price is still below what it was when the desperate CW opened his mouth.

It seems that the pole is too easy Grin  First time I voted the max Roll Eyes

That's not correct, Nioc.....

If you recall we had two bottoms ( a double bottom?).  First we had the run up to $470 and a correction down to $435, and then when we were in the process of the recovery from the original correction, and the price was in the $453 range, we got the Craig Wright story, which brought us back down to $438 and now seems to be retracing passed the $453 range.. and yep we have witnessed prices nearly a good 2% higher than they were when, as you say, "the desperate CW opened his [lying] mouth."

In other words, I'm not going to relax...  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy     Wink

Yep looks like I misread the dates.  Thanks Smiley
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 06, 2016, 09:57:38 PM
Hmm... XMR is cheaper every hour today it seems ... How low will we go this time!!?? 0.0018?  Shocked

btc up, most alts down.

I have no answer to your question.

I have sold 0 Monero.  For now the btc I earn playing poker is for buying Monero.  Therefore I have no answer as to when the btc I currently have earmarked will be traded for Monero.

No I won't lose it, that's impossible.
