"They want to use anonymous currency that allows them to do transactions, move large amounts of money, without ever being traced.
That's why digital currency is very important. It's used for all this bad stuff."
--Tate Jarrow, recipient of U.S. Secret Service Exceptional Service Award

Take THAT, Bitcoin criminal scum! Angry

 Cheesy

Except for the fact that btc is not anonymous.

By the way fonzie my sweet,  I thought you'd like to know that I'm now above water with Monero Smiley

Do you always get rakeback on tournaments?
There is no rakeback in tournaments at all. There is only a 5% fee of the total amount for the entry into the tournament. So if the buy in is 9.50 chips it will cost you ten chips to buy in.

You do get krill for tournies.

And yes the rake is for tournaments is less than anywhere else.  It is ~1/2 of many sites even "btc" ones.

When someone says USD pegged they usually mean the payments will be priced in dollars, paid in btc, e.g. 23 cents a post, paid in bitcoin using exchange rate at the time of payment.

This is what I meant.

Why, do you think btc is going up Huh Grin Grin

Remember 1btc=1btc, HODL Cool

Hmm I wonder what happened in here during the 2 weeks that I've been away. Seeing from the previous posts and replies, I think there aren't much of changes that happened.

It seems that there will be some changes the beginning of April and discussion of some of it is here:

AFAIK nobody in the US can use Neteller.

I used to have an account many years ago and then they were forced to deny the US.

so i just wanted to point out that there is the potential for some small amount of information to be leaked by people using very specific mixin values. for example, for 2 transactions which both used a mixin value of 23 might be surmised that its more likely than a random sample that these two transactions were initiated by the same party. standardized mixin denominations offering a range of options might be preferable. 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, ect.... (just as an example) plenty of flexability there. its unlikey that someone who wants more than 20 mixin couldnt be happy with 25 and would feel very strongly that they wanted 22 very specifically. so in this way there would be little cost to the user in inconvenience, but potentially reasonable gain to the privacy of the network for that very small inconvenience cost.

It's a good idea but people are probably going to do that anyway I would think. Who is actually going to use 23 as opposed to 20 or 25.

Because it's their favorite number Cool
1447  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 27, 2015, 04:48:09 PM
and bulls...I would be seriously worried about those coins exiting darkcoin or whatever its name is now.

mixing is done. if monero is crashing too...well...evo coins incoming.

and those high interest rates for usd swaps arent helping neither.

The total trading volume for dark/dash for the last 7 days is ~10K btc and for Monero it's ~1,400 btc

Doesn't seem to me that this volume indicates evo coin washing.

The recent increase in price and volume of drk/dash does have some correlation with evo while for Monero it does not.

I think you can trade drk/dash on bitfinex, but not monero. There's more money on bitfinex than the alt exchange, which might explain it.

That is correct but the #1 exchange for drk/dash is cryptsy, which would be more aptly named craptsy, and their volume for drk/dash is 4x that of bitfinex.

That makes it seem even less likely that evo coins are being washed as tarmi had eluded to.  If it is happening it is on a small scale.

i have an idea i would like to propose. a long time ago partypoker had these step tournaments. so did pokerstars i believe.

to higher stakes sngs. i propose you do this. start at like .01 btc buy ins. and at the highest level 1btc. and everything in between. also make sure the prizes are mostly tickets to the next level.

this will increase the rake at your sites since people will have to keep playing. and you will get some higher stakes games going on on your site eventually.

hope you will consider this.

so basically a satellite? Which would be kind of like a free roll? Or collect .01 but what about the second or third round? Don't pay them out after the steps and only give 1 ticket? Please step by step explain so I can consider it.
thank you

you can use any table size but for example let's use 10 handed.  Step 1 entry is one chip.  That makes the prize pool 10 chips.  Top 3 win entry into step 2 at 3 chip buyin and fourth place gets an entry into step 1 again.  Step 2 now has a 30 chip prize pool with the top 3 waiting a 9 chip ticket into step 3 and fourth place a reentry into step 2.

You can have as many steps as you want but the more steps you have the more people you need participating.   The payout for the final step would be that of a regular tourney.  The above example is but one of many that you can choose from using variables of tables size, buyin, prize  allocation etc.

Monkey has revised his estimate for the turn to tomorrow, and his support number is now 236.  Intraday, should rise a bit over the next 3 hours.

Monkey want it to go up from now on, with resistance at 276, 378.  If not, the next support is 182, 126.

Don't most people here want it to go up from now on? Cheesy

Cargo Cult TAŠ report.

After the last sell signal @267 it has been getting close to a buy the last several hours.  Although this doesn't mean it will become one I bought anyway @246.  Part of the reason is that I haven't had much time.  I had a short work day today, only 10 hrs Tongue  Let's see if I go 5 for 5

While I was sleeping the buy signal happened and when I woke up it was at 252.  Looks like 5 for 5 Smiley

If only I would have figured this out long time ago.  Almost no thought required Tongue

Those are step tourneys.  In order to have any of the higher steps run you need a lot of people in the lower steps.  This won't work until there are more players.

With XMR.TO we can send to a btc address privately.  What needs to be done in order to receive privately from a btc address?

Im sorry, but can you elaborate  Huh

SNG stands for "sit and go" where a tournament starts whenever the table(s) fills.
DON stands for "double or nothing" where 1/2 the players win 2x their buyin and 1/2 get nothing.

You need some degree of traffic for any SNGs to run otherwise people are just waiting for long time.
DONs have a reputation for collusion and the games must be monitored closely.

Do tournaments that do not meet the guarantee affect your rakeback?
No, it doesn't affect. When you are into a tournament paying 1 chip, that chip counts as rakeback whether it is  a GTD or a normal tournament.

That is odd, I think I should have got around 0.81. I didn't get any rakeback at all. Do you have to have at least 1 chip to get rakeback?

You only need 0.01 rakeback to get paid.  No more rounding down to the nearest whole number.  I received 0.17 in rakeback as I only worked 75 hrs last week so no time to play Tongue

To have a curated directory with the most important, must-have and must-know Monero links on one page is beneficial. Being able to quickly & easily find the Monero links & pages he searches for and by discovering other major ressources, a user didn't know before, is or can turn out to be very useful, during daily Monero-related work.

Because I often forget the Monero links I looked for myself, I build a small directory of the most important Monero links. I would like to share now:

http://xmr.biz/links.html

I know this is boring to long-time XMR community members. But this pages goal is to help everyone (esp. people new to the community) to save some time researching, looking up needed information or discovering central Monero ressources they didn't knew before.

---> You may like to share this link, with all the people you introduce to Monero, for example: colleague at work or new friends you meet on Tinder.

http://xmr.biz/links.html <- Please provide feedback. Thank you.

Thank you for this.

So from now on verification will be required in order to withdraw the payment???

No, only for the persons who do fiat-related things.

Weird, I didn't get the sms at all  Huh

It is turned off for you. You can turn it on by going to notification settings.

I have both sms and email selected for  notifications and have received my payment notifications on both.

However I have not received the debit card offer notification via text or email.  Not a big deal for me but I imagine others may have the same issue.
