I do start using  it ,really wanna be an expert  Huh Huh Huh

What aspect of Bitcoin do you want to become an expert on? Mining? Trading? Development? There's so many different layers to it, not the least of which is the protocol itself :]

I imagine you don't know it but you just responded to a troll that has dozens of accounts here on BCT.

you now know what to do going forward.

The Cargo Cult TA line crossed an hour ago and it called for a sell at 267.  This was after the recent buy call at 260 that I acted early on and bought at 253.  Fingers crossed  Cheesy

Not if you believe the website data from Alexa!

But alexa is a girls name Grin

Of course, I know some girls use btc to gamble or play poker, girls may like slots more.

In BTC poker house, usually see some girls there. So they can earn money and train poker skills, so good right?

And there are btc companies which pay btc as salary, girls work in those companies use btc.
yeah i've seen girls gambling and playing poker in those websites too. considering the fact that most of those girl names are not actually girls but i've seen real girls play poker too.

i think those are the minority, many girl using bitcoin, are using it for sex related thing, to stay anon

I think it's cute that people still believe that bitcoin is anonymous.

whatever you do to obfuscate your transactions has to be good enough to withstand all future blockchain analysis improvements.

<snip>

- funding is direct and specific to tasks instead of going into a big black hole and hoping for the best

We expect this system will still take us another short while before we can put it live, but we're already crunching away at the functionality for it (and this also further emphasises why the forum couldn't just be SMF with a theme;) )

I was planning on donating a small amount (~50XMR) for the upcoming 1st birthday of Monero on April 18.  Do you think it would be better to wait for the system you described?  I have no problem putting money in the black hole and hoping for the best Cheesy but waiting to do so might give a little momentum to the new system.

In other news the Cargo Cult TAŠ came within a hair of calling a sell yesterday at 260 after calling for a buy at 260 a few days ago.  I actually bought at 253 due to the volume of the dump.

So far: buy at 282
           sell at 290
buy at 253 (260 definite call)

Waiting for the next sell.  Watch the bouncing ball Cool

Here's a small bug i noticed in the client. When you register for a freeroll tournament, you don't get any visual feedback that you've registered. The green "Register" button still says "Register". Clicking it again will unregister you. To see the actual status you have to select another tournament and then select the one you're in again. Only then does the button caption change to "Unregister".

It doesn't change status right away but if you wait maybe 15 seconds it changes from register to unregister on it's own.

Our beloved core team member David Latapie is being considered for the hugely coveted title of Altcoin Gangster. Although in connection with his other coin, I think we should still give him some Monero love over here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=723764.0

Did you read the poll Huh

It seems like it would be silly to spend a bunch of money getting the .com in whatever fashion and then just have Kentucky seize it, which isn't terribly unlikely. Many other sites operate just fine without .com I don't see why you can't.

If you really feel the need for one, though, it's a perfect time to change to a brand that most people don't think is really dumb on first impression. Seals with Clubs was a pretty significant obstacle for a lot of people, and SwC isn't a lot better.

SealsWithClubs is the best name ever!

I trust Micon to do the right thing.

A rose by any other name is just as sweet.
1470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 22, 2015, 12:09:32 AM
so I realized I should sell some XMR at 100 BTC on poloniex.

I think everyone should put a sell order at that price point.

I just added to that "wall". Grin
1471  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [BIT-X] Signature Campaign - Discussion on: March 21, 2015, 09:32:16 PM
Honestly, I can't understand why would any participant prefer monthly payments.

It's always better to have access to your funds sooner than later. If you don't like weekly payments then... just don't withdraw weekly, let the funds cumulate on your bit-x account for a month (or longer).

I do understand marco's and bit-x point of view:

Quote
- BIT-X gets a full month of advertising instead of a week (if a user changes their signature after only a week, all posts in that week become useless to BIT-X, a month gives more time for those posts to be seen)

Fair enough. If it comes with increased payments, I can live with that.

Generally I think campaign is working pretty fine. I would reconsider reopening some of the boards. For example, I'd allow local boards, but with set limit of posts in such boards (say no more than 10-20/month).

Rather than disqualifying all altcoin boards, I'd allow "Marketplace (Altcoins)" and possibly "Altcoin Discussion" as these could be valuable for bit-x (who also accept 1 altcoin - Litecoin). Or maybe just disallow "Announcements (Altcoins)" as it's most spammy. Or, as above, just set a limit of posts in those boards per month?

I am involved in 2 altcoins and my posts in their announcement sections are probably the least spammy of my posts.  I understand the dilemma but I'm just giving my perspective.
1472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 21, 2015, 07:58:53 PM
You shoulnd't be worried about the DRK rise, it's way overbought at the moment and everyone knows it's mostly one whale pushing up the price with support and attack walls (lol) and every newbie is following buying at the (near) top.

A healthy correction is due but that doesn't mean some people will do anything they can to keep the price up, that absolutely doesn't mean this is smart money  Roll Eyes

The only reason I'm kicking myself now is that I didn't buy some under 0.006, only because there is a lot of money to be made from stupid money. I would never buy it because of fundamentals ofcourse.

Stock traders like BTC trading because there is a lot of dumb money involved, then we have DRK, a loooooot of dumb money involved  Grin

Don't kick yourself.  Congratulate yourself for avoiding a Ponzi scheme that could implode at any moment for any number of reasons (legal, social, technical, bus-related).

It's not worth risking BTC that could be used to hlod moar XMR on gambling with shitcoins.  Don't try to pick up pennies in front of bulldozers.

XMR is supported by smart money and hot money; DARSH is pumped by scam money and dumb money.

DARSH also benefits from being older and trading on more exchanges (plus having an Official GUI).

This advantage will erode in the future, as USD-enabled CrapSea (where ~50% of DARSH trades) is rumored to be adding XMR Soon(tm).   Cool

when the hell is that happening? be great to know that kind of information before it hits.

I guess no one will never precisely know when this will happen, but the host during the dogedradio interview said they were working on integrating it.

Yes they've been working on intergrating it for months now Grin
1473  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [BIT-X] Signature Campaign - Discussion on: March 21, 2015, 07:47:33 PM
I rather you lower the rates than make the payouts monthly. I personally think monthly payouts take too long and I have to wait 30 days for it. The only reason I'm on bit-x campaign is because of the weekly campaign, and the automated bot which can instantly check your stats. You should do a poll to see which one people like better.

I just bought 8 jars of peanut butter on 1/2 price sale! so it's now ok to change it to monthly payments.

High CPU usage means that the game client software is working too hard to display the graphics etc and slowing down your computer. What browser and computer type are you guys using, and how many game tables you have open ,and let me know please ..

Windows 8.1 and IE with one table open LuckyFlop it varied but maxed out at 50% CPU.

For the PC client the task manager shows <5% CPU.  Even so it slowed my computer down.  I CPU mine Monero and with the PC client and with 1 table open it slowed down my miner almost as much as when I had LuckyFlop open in the browser.  Also when I had Poloniex exchange open it became somewhat unresponsive, scrolling through the order book and such.

My CPU is a Pentium G3220

Edit: Even the PC client slows down my miner 75% Shocked

April 18 according to the first post in this thread.
This also was a late delivery because TFT wanted to publish on the 17th. I updated the History of Monero.

Ok April 18th it is.  I will double the small contribution I've made so far to Monero's development fund.

Please consider joining the party.

When is Monero's first birthday?  I would like to give it a small present.
1477  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: March 21, 2015, 09:48:40 AM
Are there any freerolls or tourneys going on now because last time I played there were only cash tables I don't like playing on.

When you look now what do you see?
1478  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 20, 2015, 10:21:27 PM
Monkey thinks price will be downish until Monday-Wednesday turn starts a steady upward move, but 250 will hold the bottom.

I ask again, has your monkey got this bitcoin thing down yet?  I know he/she was a bit weak several months ago.

Definitely improving.  This year he wanted me to buy at 200 on 1/20, and at 215 on 2/10, then wanted me to sell at 292 on 3/11.
I wasn't paying attention at the time, though.  Right now, intraday, he thinks it goes up for an hour or two, then pulls back.  He
sees near-term resistance at 272 and support in the 242-253 range, pegs daily support at 236-245, and says it will turn up by
Tuesday.  (He's constantly adjusting, until he makes a buy or sell signal, then he stands pat and lets price decide if he was
right or wrong.)

On a weekly basis he says the buy point was 2/1, expects a few more weeks of up-trend, and again sees resistance at 378-380,
but allows that it may not turn, but only take a correction, to end the contiguous trend.

Long term projection?

Date Registered:   February 10, 2011, 03:17:51 PM

and you are asking a monkey for a long term projection?  Grin

I have no doubts, do you?
1479  Economy / Gambling / Re: LuckyFlop.eu Bitcoin Poker | 5mbc Free Roll 24/7 | 5mbc FREE to New Sign ups | on: March 20, 2015, 11:56:08 AM
MMM… Is that normal? Does anyone else have anything to add or someone maybe had the same issue? Mine runs fine, takes about 45-60 seconds to DL and I ran 6-8 tables at once wo issues. Maybe it was just at that time and if you try it again won't take up 50%  Cry

The high cpu usage was for the browser.  I took the 2+ minutes to download the client.  It works ok but the software needs improvements.

The 2 most obvious things are, there is no warning sound when the action is first on you.  If your attention is elsewhere, such as typing this post, you have no idea the action is on you.

The other thing is the bet size controls.  The +/- control is in big blind increments but it is too sensitive and will jump more than 1 bb at a time.  The half button is half of your stack which makes it pretty useless as bets are in relation to the pot size more so than your stack size.  Typing in the bet works fine and although I believe most people like using only the mouse, that's not a big deal.

Went to download the client and it would have taken 3 minutes while any other poker client takes seconds.  Was able to use the browser by enabling pop ups.  Tried a freeroll and with just that one game open it used 50% of my CPU.  It's just a modern pentium chip but no program I run is anywhere close to that.

 Huh Shocked
